    Alfred Kelberry: lone stev :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Alfred
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, Bert was here a moment, then... RL
stevenaia Michinaga: how ahve you been?
Alfred Kelberry: thought 7 pm saturday was popular
    Alfred Kelberry: good, thank you
stevenaia Michinaga: it had its moment of crowds, must be late for you
    Alfred Kelberry: any news?
    stevenaia Michinaga: news? of what?
Alfred Kelberry: anything you'd like to share :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I had a trip to florida last weekend, was nice doing tai chi at sunrise on the beach with family, was doing an intro exposure
Alfred Kelberry: oh yes! did you meet with eliza?
stevenaia Michinaga: syes, had lunch with her, good to see her again
stevenaia Michinaga: it has been a while
Alfred Kelberry: ah, lucky you :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I had never been to South Beach in Miami
stevenaia Michinaga: have you ever met her?

    --BELL--

    Alfred Kelberry: nope
Alfred Kelberry: what does your family think of tai chi?
stevenaia Michinaga: more and more seem interested every time we meet
    Alfred Kelberry: any followers?
stevenaia Michinaga: it can be captivating for those of a certain age
    stevenaia Michinaga: all beginners
Alfred Kelberry: with stev the guru :)
stevenaia Michinaga: giggles...beginner......but I find its interaction of mind and body tends to make parts of your brain work in new ways, the the funny sounds your joints make is always interesting
    Alfred Kelberry: ha :)
Alfred Kelberry: i thought tai chi is all smooth and quiet :)
stevenaia Michinaga: supposidly makes new nuerons (according to studies) I can always use new nuerons
Alfred Kelberry: yes, new neurons is always good :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes very slow and quiet, but still can scramble your mind in wonderful ways... like pat your head and rub your belly on steroids
    stevenaia Michinaga: it's also meditation
Alfred Kelberry: your family lives in florida?
stevenaia Michinaga: and.. you rarely sweat :)
stevenaia Michinaga: no, just my 90 year old uncle of spouse
stevenaia Michinaga: so the family converges there every 5 years or so
    Alfred Kelberry: that's nice
stevenaia Michinaga: big family, lots of cousins
    stevenaia Michinaga: very playful
stevenaia Michinaga: I used to go to a local gym, took yoga for a few years, most do it so they ahve a focused place to "move"
stevenaia Michinaga: when I stopped going to the gym as construction there was too disruptive (I used to go to yoga 2x per week), I was in need of a change, was the perfect tme to find a Tai Chi instructor
stevenaia Michinaga: yoga was very energetic, less meditative, at least the way it was taught in the gym
stevenaia Michinaga: I;m sure there were other places to take yoga, but I had always wanted to try Tai Chi (I don't know whY) now I know why
stevenaia Michinaga: it is actually related to Yoga, in a sence

    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: a merging of Buddist Yoga and Daoist meditation
stevenaia Michinaga: do you meditatate consistently
stevenaia Michinaga: Tai Chi is something I can do at work, or on the beach, yoga requites a matt and some degree of exertion
stevenaia Michinaga: I must say, it took decades to find the thing that "fits". it's always worth the wait, did the same thing with scotch, found the one that fits :)
stevenaia Michinaga: (another mind body experience)
stevenaia Michinaga: some you recognize it more than others
stevenaia Michinaga: it takes time, but you see much more when you can slow down
stevenaia Michinaga: (and smell the roses)

    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: bedtime for me, night my friend
