Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Hi Maude and Zen :)

Zen (zen.arado): Hi Eliza, Maude :)

    Riff Raff Maude (dr42): ηαмαѕтє

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Namaste

Zen (zen.arado): they must be late with their restart today

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): maybe skipped your turn

    Zen (zen.arado): maybeHi Lucy

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Hi Lucy :)

    Zen (zen.arado): u oh

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): ah well... to Kira to Kira

    Zen (zen.arado): off to Kira

    Lucinda Lavender: HI everyone:)

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): when there is a restart we meet in kira cafe Luci and Maude

Zen (zen.arado): they are doing a restart and we have to go to Kira cafe Maude and Luci

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): if you need a tp let me know

    Lucinda Lavender: thanks Zen

    Zen (zen.arado): snap

We moved to Kira cafe here:

    Zen (zen.arado): 25 C here

    Zen (zen.arado): really hot

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): wonderful here... major downpours

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): keeping everything cool

Zen (zen.arado): nobody has air conditioning in Northern Ireland

Zen (zen.arado): we don't usually need it

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me nods... you are near the water - is there at least a nice breeze?

Zen (zen.arado): even in a car you might only use it once or twice a year

Zen (zen.arado): yes there is usually a breeze

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Looking at record highs here, 100F with 100% humidity.

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): yikes

Zen (zen.arado): it very rarely gets about 25 C here

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): so it is relative to what one expects I suppose

    Zen (zen.arado): it's over 30 C in London today

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me is feeling English with all this weather talk... will have some tea

Tsuchino Co.,Ltd. Japanese Teacup (Wear me!): whispers: Have a Japanese green tea!

    Zen (zen.arado): :-)

Zen (zen.arado): I just had some

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I wanted to mention something on the topic

Zen (zen.arado): were always complain about the weather here

Zen (zen.arado): it's either too hot or too cold or two something

    Zen (zen.arado): Hi Xiri :)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Hi Xiri :)

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): hello Zen, Eliza, Luci, Riff! :-)

    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Xiri

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): collective hobby: weather criticism

Zen (zen.arado): now why did it put a two at the end of that last sentence?

    Zen (zen.arado): hmm

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): 33C out already, and that was at 9 AM, looking at 38C today for the high.

Zen (zen.arado): Where do you live Maude?

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Northeast US.

    Zen (zen.arado): ah

Lucinda Lavender: It is pretty muggy there sometimes in summer

Zen (zen.arado): we should be on vacation

Zen (zen.arado): the problem is that if you don't go on vacation you just do all of your regular things and don't get a break from them

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Some little town where they started a war and kicked out the evil empire a few hundred years ago, :)

Zen (zen.arado): they had a tea party or something?

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :)

    Zen (zen.arado): :)

Lucinda Lavender: yes...I find that true too..Zen

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Something like that.

Zen (zen.arado): I should have a vacation from Second Life

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I believe in those

Zen (zen.arado): or have a vacation in Second Life as an Avatar – a different one

    Lucinda Lavender: :))

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): :-)

Zen (zen.arado): looks for Second Life holiday booking office

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): maybe a new business for you Zen

Zen (zen.arado): I could go to Spain in Second Life

Zen (zen.arado): if there is one

Lucinda Lavender: In the newspaper yesterday there was an article about how working longer keeps demetia away

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): Spain is not well reproduced here...as far as I've seen...

Lucinda Lavender: and I was just imagining....making a job for oneself in SL

Zen (zen.arado): we were at a mental health seminar a month or two ago Lucy

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Doomed, I am doomed.

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :)

Zen (zen.arado): and I said that you should take on new mental challenges even when you are older to keep your brain healthy

Zen (zen.arado): doing crosswords and Sudoku isn't enough

    Lucinda Lavender: right...

Lucinda Lavender: a sort of use it or lose it

    Zen (zen.arado): yes

    Visitor: hi people

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): well if our minds do not necessarily distinguish between imagined experience and experience then it makes sense to carve out roles here - but the physical component is important too

    Zen (zen.arado): Hi Visitor

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Hi Visitor :)

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I've found the best place for next retreat in RL :-) http://www.en.argayall.com/seminars/

    Visitor: i'm new here

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): welcome

    Zen (zen.arado): ah

Zen (zen.arado): this is a group called play as being

    Visitor: just got here yesterday

    Lucinda Lavender: WElcome!

    Visitor: thnak

Zen (zen.arado): we record the conversations on a wiki

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): in La Gomera...it is 'Spain' but it is in Africa...

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): that's beautiful Xiri

Zen (zen.arado): are you okay with that Visitor?

    Visitor: yup

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): a fiend of SL is there now :-)

    Zen (zen.arado): great

    Visitor: ok

Zen (zen.arado): I will send you a note card telling you about what we do

    Visitor: sure

Lucinda Lavender: Luci always struggles when she gets a lot of windows open I notice

    Visitor: oh

Zen (zen.arado): hmm it won't let me

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): sometimes it is better to save them to open later, but I had no troubles

Zen (zen.arado): could somebody else send her a note card?

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Are we staying here, or heading back to nextdoor?

    Visitor: who?me?

    Zen (zen.arado): or him sorry

    Visitor: i'm a boy,you know

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): done :)

Zen (zen.arado): it is still down Maude

    Zen (zen.arado): yes sorry

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): cute shirt Visitor ^^

    Visitor: that

    Visitor: i mean thank

Zen (zen.arado): I made a quick gender assumption based on your long blonde hair sorry :)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :)

    Visitor: :)

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): sorry Zen..I can not find the right notecard now

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I gave one, thanks Xiri

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ok :-)

Zen (zen.arado): I have one that it wouldn't transfer for some reason

Visitor: i have to be 18?

Zen (zen.arado): this happens every week nearly Maude

Lucinda Lavender: How does the secondlife experience strike you Visitor...just wondering back to my own too...

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Yea, same for home. But restarts have been far quicker this week that in previous months.

    Zen (zen.arado): yes Visitor

Zen (zen.arado): I never noticed that before – it never came up before for me

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): just once actually

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): so Visitor's name wouldn't be allowed to be recorded I think

    Zen (zen.arado): ok

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): can use "find and replace" to make easier

Zen (zen.arado): yes I guess so

Zen (zen.arado): what is the topic for this week?

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): metamorphosis

    Zen (zen.arado): Ah yes

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I was listening to an Eckhart Tolle audio on Vimeo, about the Tao te Ching, and one thing he said was that at a certain point in life he picked up the book but couldn't really read it.. didn't open to him. Later in life, he found himself able to... a new experience. It wasn't the book that had changed, but him. To me that spoke of deep sorts of transformations that occur.

    Zen (zen.arado): yes Eliza

Zen (zen.arado): it's like when you give someone a book to read that really impressed you but it doesn't make any sense to them at all

    Lucinda Lavender: Interesting...

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I've certainly had that experience

    Visitor: ok,what did i missed?

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): haven't missed anything since it is in the chat and you can scroll back :)

Zen (zen.arado): but the Tao Te Ching is quite difficult

    Visitor: right

Zen (zen.arado): many levels of meanings

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): difficult for being so easy

Visitor: i just realize,am i the only boy here?

    Zen (zen.arado): yes maybe

    Visitor: lol

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): Zen is a boy too :-)

    Visitor: oh

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :)

Zen (zen.arado): just an older boy :-)

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): a boy anyway :-)

Visitor: i'm the youngest boy than

    Zen (zen.arado): yep

    Visitor: i'm like 13

    Zen (zen.arado): good grief

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): are you interested in maditation, Visitor?

    Visitor: i know

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): And some may have metamorphoed into girls after having been a boy.

Zen (zen.arado): you shouldn't really be in here at that age?

    Visitor: maditation?

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): meditation*

    Visitor: i'm sorry

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): we are in a general sim

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I think it is okay but let me quick check

Zen (zen.arado): Isn't there an age limit of 16 or something?

Visitor: i can't wait three years to play this game

    Visitor: T.T

Zen (zen.arado): Most of us don't think of it as a game Visitor

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Then don't admit your RL age.

    Visitor: ....oh

Zen (zen.arado): so you might not like it

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): "Under 18 Users. If you are less than 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, if greater), then you may access the General area of the Service in accordance with our Maturity Guidelines"

    Visitor: huh?

Zen (zen.arado): I come here to socialise with people from around the world

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): there are gaming forums in SL though

    Visitor: me too

    Zen (zen.arado): there are?

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): what are you interested in?

Visitor: this is the only socal game i can play

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): sure... thinking of role play areas especially

    Visitor: the other just crash

    Zen (zen.arado): Ah yes

Zen (zen.arado): what is a social game?

Visitor: it's just like this one

Zen (zen.arado): But we aren't playing a game here

    Visitor: i know

    Zen (zen.arado): are we?

Zen (zen.arado): we are just chatting

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): well that's an existential question Zen

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :)

Zen (zen.arado): we usually discuss topics

    Lucinda Lavender: :))

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): well...we have interesting discussions in a 'playful' way :-)

    Zen (zen.arado): I know that's why I asked the question Eliza :-)

    Visitor: ummmmmmmm...

    Visitor: i'm out of here

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :) for some, the format is a "gaming" format

Zen (zen.arado): I suppose people do play games anyway in social chitchat

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I hope he didn't feel corrected

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Visitor, there are many role playing areas, but there are also many area where people go for support, discussion, learning, and spiritual development.

    Visitor: bye

    Zen (zen.arado): byee

    Lucinda Lavender: :))

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): bye bye Visitor

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): bye Visitor, thanks for coming

    Zen (zen.arado): yes

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me wondering what I would have thought of PaB at 13, hah

    Lucinda Lavender: Luci is too

    Zen (zen.arado): I don't think I would have been too interested :-)

Zen (zen.arado): it's rather difficult to imagine being 13 now though

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): "where do I find the horses"

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): So, how does our Idewntity of self morph along with our change of view and understanding?

    Riff Raff Maude (dr42): *identity

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): great phrase of question Maude, ty

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me thinks

    Lucinda Lavender: :)yes

Zen (zen.arado): I think this self-image thing keeps morphing all the time whereas the true underlying source of being just stays the same

Zen (zen.arado): just like the wave and the ocean

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): ocean expressing itself in waves?

Zen (zen.arado): yes nature expressing itself in each of our unique ways

    Zen (zen.arado): each of us*

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): we give the ocean identity in that wording, hard not to do "itself"

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): But is it the ocean expressing itself as waves, or are the waves an expression of the wind?

Lucinda Lavender: I, the I that is sitting in my kitchen must walk around a bit so I will go check the chickens and at the same time wake my leg up:) brb

Zen (zen.arado): we can get lost in metaphors

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :) Luci, ok

    Zen (zen.arado): kk byee Lucy

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): bye bye Luci! :-)

Zen (zen.arado): I liked a bit in an Eckardt Tolly video I watched where he talks about how this self-image mind is always asking questions ' what about this, what about that?'

    Zen (zen.arado): Always restless

Zen (zen.arado): but that's how we are

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): More so in some than in others.

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me nods

    Zen (zen.arado): oh yes

Zen (zen.arado): we are all unique

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): and at some times than others

Zen (zen.arado): years and at different times

    Zen (zen.arado): yes

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): subtle addictions

Zen (zen.arado): this voice typing annoys me drat

Zen (zen.arado): a test of my calmness :-)

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): since I factor the voice typing, I hear what you mean

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): drat? :-)

Zen (zen.arado): an expression of annoyance Xirana :-)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): not oft used

Lucinda Lavender: kind of like "darn it"

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): you do very well Zen:) I don't find any mistake:-))

Zen (zen.arado): yes it's more British I think

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ahh thank you :-)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): "crikey!"

Zen (zen.arado): I remember teaching Sunday school kids how many of those expressions are derived from the name of Jesus Christ

    Zen (zen.arado): jeepers etc

Lucinda Lavender: someone recently share about a favorite Tolle video...within the last week or so...wonder where I saw it...

    Zen (zen.arado): me probably

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): I think most of those words have been replaced with a single word composed of just four letter.

Zen (zen.arado): it is one of the best ones I have seen

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :) Maude

    Zen (zen.arado): :)

Lucinda Lavender: tell me the words to search for it ...Please?

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Queues the music "Poem on an Underground Wall"

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I enjoyed that video too, but the one I referenced and keep going back to is: http://vimeo.com/14131095

Lucinda Lavender: I will listen before I go off to work...

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): working today?

    Lucinda Lavender: yes 4 hours

Zen (zen.arado): I just crashed Firefox looking for it

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): oh, not to bad

    Zen (zen.arado): just a sec

    Lucinda Lavender: ;(

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): too*

Lucinda Lavender: well thank you...all for the links!

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Have a wonderful day, Luci... if you have to go you can check back for the link

Zen (zen.arado): look on my Facebook page Lucy

Lucinda Lavender: ok great idea Zen and Eliza

    Riff Raff Maude (dr42): bye?

Zen (zen.arado): I keep pushing both right and left keys on my mouse and crashing things

    Lucinda Lavender: I should go...;(

Zen (zen.arado): my fingers are so weak :)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): impermanence...

Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I also have to go now....thanks for the nice time all :-)= and see you soon! :-)

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): bye Xiri, good to see you

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): you too :-)

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): bye Luci, wish you fun day

    Zen (zen.arado): byee Xiri

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): bye bye :)

Lucinda Lavender: great to see you all as impermanent as everything is:)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me smiles

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): à bientôt! :-)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): a bientot :)

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): hehe..Luci :-)

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): someone was mentioning painting on rocks with water on a hot day

    Zen (zen.arado): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KopmS...&feature=share

    Zen (zen.arado): that's it now

    Lucinda Lavender: great idea Eliza

Lucinda Lavender: we do that with the children some

    Lucinda Lavender: paint with water

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I love that idea.... like making sandcastles

Zen (zen.arado): it's the name of a spiritual book too

Zen (zen.arado): ;Painting the Sidewalk with Water'

Lucinda Lavender: I love to go to the sandbox and say...well now who can make a cup of coffee here

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): nice

    Zen (zen.arado): Joan Tollifson

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I'd love to be a kid in your class Luci

    Lucinda Lavender: :))

Zen (zen.arado): it's what we are all doing I guess because nothing we do will last

Zen (zen.arado): did you get that link Lucy I just posted?

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): It's back

    Lucinda Lavender: yes Zen

Zen (zen.arado): ok Do you want to go back to the pavilion Maude?

    Lucinda Lavender: ok...bye for now

    Lucinda Lavender: play well

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): No, here is fine, It's getting late...

    Zen (zen.arado): bye Lucy

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me nods

Zen (zen.arado): yes it's hardly much point now

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I can't stay on either... am on a semi SL vacation

Zen (zen.arado): some of these restarts take a long time

Zen (zen.arado): good idea Eliza perhaps I should take a couple of weeks off from being a Guardian

Zen (zen.arado): sometimes we need something to freshen us up

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): I think it is sometimes a good idea

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): yes

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Does anyone need a chatlog of this session?

    Zen (zen.arado): that's okay Maude

Zen (zen.arado): I always have to do this

Zen (zen.arado): retrieve it from my hard drive

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): it isn't really of my choosing this time but I'm trying to be responsive with life

Zen (zen.arado): and I'll have to delete that young guys name

Zen (zen.arado): I just get into the old reliable patterns or something

Zen (zen.arado): I'm pretty consistent that way when I do things

Zen (zen.arado): I was always a very good timekeeper in jobs hardly ever took days off sick

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me nods ... me too I think

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): Visitor? What thoughts that name conjurers.

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): Lojong: "Don't be predictable" doesn't mean shirk all responsibility I think... just question and test continually

Zen (zen.arado): perhaps we can be too reliable and consistent?

    Zen (zen.arado): yes

Zen (zen.arado): I have a friend who packed up his job and just drives around in a motor home

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): brightest star in Lyra

Riff Raff Maude (dr42): I need to run. Doctors and such....

Zen (zen.arado): and he's having a great time

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :) I've known families like that

Zen (zen.arado): kk thanks for coming Maude

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): wish you good appointments Maude

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): thank you for hosting Zen - I don't take you for granted ^.^

Zen (zen.arado): thank you for coming to Eliza I don't take that for granted either

    Zen (zen.arado): :)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me smiles

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): enjoy the day!

Zen (zen.arado): you too take it easy

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): thanks... am doing... learning to dwell in "comfort and ease"

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :)

Zen (zen.arado): I'm enjoying my history of rock course :-)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): ah, great

Zen (zen.arado): I will be able to bore everyone silly now :-)

Zen (zen.arado): I just found out who made the first rock record

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): look forward to that

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): oh?

    Zen (zen.arado): supposedly anyway

    Zen (zen.arado): a song called ' Rocket 88'

Zen (zen.arado): by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): /me remembers a band "Love and Rockets"

Zen (zen.arado): 1951 would you believe

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): seems late, wow

Zen (zen.arado): that's what it says in my book anyway

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): would have thought rock was peeking through before then, but likely accurate

Zen (zen.arado): I would have thought it started with Bill Haley and the comets

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): as far as records

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): you can throw out facts while DJing

    Zen (zen.arado): yes :-)

    Eliza (eliza.madrigal): :) bfn

    Zen (zen.arado): byee Eliza :)
