BonitoBonsai Resident: 's current display-name is "BonitoBonsai".
Rosatta Resident: Hello, Bonito : )
    BonitoBonsai Resident: hi rosatta
    --BELL--
Rosatta Resident: What is an Egoisme Sex Symbol?
    BonitoBonsai Resident: dont know
BonitoBonsai Resident: it was when i searched for Milano
Rosatta Resident: lol Well, you are wearing the label over your head
    Rosatta Resident: Milano?
    BonitoBonsai Resident: oh
    Rosatta Resident: What is Milano?
BonitoBonsai Resident: its a city in nortern Italy
BonitoBonsai Resident: I want to visit in 2015
BonitoBonsai Resident: for the world expo
BonitoBonsai Resident: I hope the group egoism fashion is gone now
Rosatta Resident: That would be an amazing experience. I hope you are able to do so
BonitoBonsai Resident: its a little sm - fetish looking fashion
Rosatta Resident: I'm not into that sutff
BonitoBonsai Resident: that egoism trade mark
    BonitoBonsai Resident: me neither
    Rosatta Resident: *stuff
    Rosatta Resident: It is gone
    BonitoBonsai Resident: thnx for noticing
Rosatta Resident: It's just you now :-D
    BonitoBonsai Resident: ok
BonitoBonsai Resident: and u how are u ?
Rosatta Resident: I'm doing ok. Just doing the usual, nothing interesting
    BonitoBonsai Resident: ok
Rosatta Resident: Except that I am working on character development for a book - that's been a bit interesting as I've never done anything like this before
    BonitoBonsai Resident: oh
    BonitoBonsai Resident: interesting
    BonitoBonsai Resident: and exciting
Rosatta Resident: I'm taking it slow and just writing a short scene daily to explore how I would like the characters to be
Rosatta Resident: It sounds like it would be easy but I am amazed how easy it is to not want to do it and to 'get stuck' with ideas
    BonitoBonsai Resident: yeah
    Wol Euler: hello rosatta, bonito
Rosatta Resident: Hello, Wol! Good to see you : )
    BonitoBonsai Resident: hi wol
    Wol Euler smiles.
    BonitoBonsai Resident: nice hair
Wol Euler: I'm going to be drifting in and out irregularly, I'm packing in RL for a two week trip
Wol Euler: thanks! it's my usual, I've work it for years
Rosatta Resident: Business or for fun trip?
Wol Euler: not business but only half fun. My father is declining, the family is gathering
    BonitoBonsai Resident: oh
Rosatta Resident: Oh. I'm sorry for the sadness of letting him go.
Rosatta Resident: It will be good to see family, though
    Wol Euler: thank you
Wol Euler: and yes, it will
BonitoBonsai Resident: yes, you can share emotions with your family
    BonitoBonsai Resident: thats important
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: there are some practicalities too, I have to help my mother find a respite home for him
Wol Euler: she's been officially told by the hospital staff that she cannot take care of him, which is true
Wol Euler: and she's close to admitting that now :)
Rosatta Resident: A strong woman finds it hard to admit it is time to let others do something : )
BonitoBonsai Resident: I see, yes those are difficult decisions
BonitoBonsai Resident: when u are up to them
Rosatta Resident: Have the doctors said how long they expect your father to live?
BonitoBonsai Resident: sorry i have to leave
Rosatta Resident: Please forgive me if that was an inappropriate question
Rosatta Resident: It was good seeing you, Bonito.
BonitoBonsai Resident: maybe another time we can chat more
BonitoBonsai Resident: have other things calling
Rosatta Resident: I would like that : )
BonitoBonsai Resident: bye Wol and i wish u much strongness
    BonitoBonsai Resident: by rosatta
    Rosatta Resident: Bye, Bonito
    --BELL--
    Wol Euler: bye bonito
Wol Euler: no, not inappropriate at all sadly
Wol Euler: but no, as far as I know they have not
Wol Euler: there is no crisis, just a steady decline which has hit a pothole
Wol Euler: he had an episode in which he forgot how to walk
Rosatta Resident: I know that is so hard for him
Wol Euler: literally, called my mother in to the bathroom because he didn't know how to walk
    Rosatta Resident: Dementia?
Wol Euler: I'm not a doctor, but I don'T consider this a good sign
    Rosatta Resident: No
Wol Euler: well, dementia is a vague diagnosis that shades into many things
Wol Euler: he has severe memory loss, his short-term memory is as good as non-existent
Wol Euler: he knows who he is, and who the people around him are
Wol Euler: he can converse sensibly
Wol Euler: but he gets stumped because he interrupts himself to look for a better word, can't find it, and loses the thread of the conversation
Rosatta Resident: How are his spirits? Is he discouraged or fairly calm?
Wol Euler: very calm, on the whole, which is just as well
Wol Euler: though he flies into rages at odd things, just not about his condition
Rosatta Resident: I am glad you mother is willing to consider allowing others to take care of him. Caring for someone with his problems is a full-time and very difficult job
Wol Euler: and requires somebody who is themselves not over 80 with bad vision and a hip replacement
    Rosatta Resident: Yes!
Rosatta Resident: She couldn't possibly lift him, among other things
    Wol Euler: of course not
Wol Euler: that at least she does know, fortunately
    Wol Euler: hello zon
    Rosatta Resident: : )
    Zon Kwan: heya
Rosatta Resident: Hi, Zon. Wol said hi and I couldn't find you
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: back in a bit
    Zon Kwan: im quick
Rosatta Resident: My daughter says my computer is slow
    Rosatta Resident: lol
Rosatta Resident: How is life treating you, Zon?
    Zon Kwan: cant complain
Zon Kwan: so much to do
Zon Kwan: wow is yours ?
    Rosatta Resident: Any interesting project?
    Zon Kwan: many
    Zon Kwan: too many
Rosatta Resident: Mine is pretty boring :p
Rosatta Resident: Ok, do you have a favorite project?
    Zon Kwan: yes, life
    Wol Euler: fascinating
    Zon Kwan: it is
Wol Euler: are you documenting your progress?
Zon Kwan: i dont have time
    Wol Euler: awwww
    Zon Kwan: why document ?
    Wol Euler: why not?`
Zon Kwan: everything changes all the time
Wol Euler: is that not a reason to document waht it was?
Zon Kwan: why document old stuff
Zon Kwan: when so much new is emerging
    Zon Kwan: all the time
Wol Euler: to remember what was there?
    --BELL--
Zon Kwan: doesnt our mind do it automatically ?
Rosatta Resident: A lot of people find documenting a good way to process what has happened. That allows for experiencing the new more fully. No, it doesn't happen automatically. That is partially what night dreaming is about, but for the 'big' things it requires more - talking or writing to process and metabolize
    Zon Kwan: hm
    Zon Kwan: people are different..
Wol Euler: mine doesn't, zon, no. It loses things, it mis-remembers things, it changes things
Rosatta Resident: memory is very changeable, this has been documented through research
Zon Kwan: i trurt my mind
Zon Kwan: it takes what it needs
    Wol Euler: phone
Rosatta Resident: But for experiences and learning to make the changes they are meant to make it is important to experience them mindfully, that that requires processing as much as allowing the experience
Zon Kwan: and forgets what it doesnt
Zon Kwan: processing can take other forms than documenting
Zon Kwan: and people process in different ways i guess
Rosatta Resident: An American businessman went to a Japanese Zen master to learn. The Zen master invited him to tea. When the Zen master poured tea into the man's cup, he didn't stop when the cup was full but continued to pour until the tea flooded the table. The businessman jumped out of the way fo the flooding tea and protested.
Rosatta Resident: When the mes was cleaned up the Zen master told teh business man that just like a full cup of tea can receive nothing more, the business man was full of 'knowing' and he had no room to learn.
Rosatta Resident: Perhaps there is a connection between being open, being humble and the ability to learn
    Zon Kwan: nods...to many documents...lol
Rosatta Resident: Years ago I owned a book "Embrace Tiger, Return to Mountain." In it the author said that true learning becomes a part of one like a drop of rain becomes part of a pond, river or lake. Other learning is like a leaf dropping on the water's surface
Rosatta Resident: That has always stayed with me
    Zon Kwan: nods
Zon Kwan: i try to be more aware in the moment
Bruce Mowbray: 's current display-name is "Bruce".
    Zon Kwan: process immediately
    Zon Kwan: if possible
    Zon Kwan: hi bruce
Rosatta Resident: mindfulness is skill I
Rosatta Resident: Hello, Bruce : )
    Rosatta Resident: Welcome!
Bruce Mowbray: Hi. everylne. Just showing a RL friend around sl.
    Rosatta Resident: Cool.
    Rosatta Resident waves
    Zon Kwan: hello RL friend
Rosatta Resident: Hi, RL friend : )
Rosatta Resident: Now, my natural self is saying awww . . . I wish Bruce had stayed, but the mindful part of me is reminding me that I don't know the big picture and that if I did I would be happy Bruce is doing exactly what he is doing
    Zon Kwan: lol
    Zon Kwan: exactly
Rosatta Resident: My natural self likes to have its own way
    --BELL--
Zon Kwan: thats the conflict that makes life so exciting
    Wol Euler: back
    Rosatta Resident: wb : )
    Wol Euler: ty
    Rosatta Resident: Packing done?
Wol Euler: not yet :) but organized, I just have to push stuff into the case
Rosatta Resident: Almost done : )
Wol Euler: and then there's the stuff that goes in tomorrow morning (hairbrush, toothbrush etc)
Wol Euler: what I really must do more or less now, is have a long look at the tickets and confirm when I need to be at the airport
Rosatta Resident: You are very organized. That will make things so smoother
Rosatta Resident: Hi, QT : )
    Qt Core: Hi all!
Rosatta Resident: Good to see you
    Zon Kwan: hi qt
Rosatta Resident: Is anyone involved in any way with conservation/save the planet things?
    Wol Euler: hello bruce
Wol Euler: not I, rosatta, not beyond donations to Greenpeace and trying to be sensible about energy and other forms of waste
Rosatta Resident: That is all important things, Wol.
Rosatta Resident: I recycle as much as possible and try to be careful about waste and consumption
Qt Core: (sorry, as usually as soon as i log in SL i'm called away, grrr)
Rosatta Resident: I donate to Arbor Day, an organization that plants trees and promotes planting trees
    Wol Euler: awwww
Wol Euler: bye qt, take care
    Rosatta Resident: I'm sorry, QT : (
Qt Core: no, wol, now i'm back
Wol Euler: oh, I see :) sorry :)
Wol Euler: I'm wandering in and out while packing, it's hard to follow the conversations
Rosatta Resident: lol Ok. I thought we'd lost your complteely, too
    Wol Euler: nah
Wol Euler: but with pauses :)
Qt Core: well, sometimes i am completely lost ;-)
Rosatta Resident: The reading I've been doing it seems that the two most powerful things to do to save the earth is to reduce the size of the human population and plant trees
    Rosatta Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A7qSHF2YlY
    --BELL--
Qt Core: well, i don't know what to do about trees but at least i don't plan to have children
    Zon Kwan: waves
    Qt Core: bye Zon
Wol Euler: bye zon, take care
Rosatta Resident: In the US we have tree planting organizations. I'm glad
Qt Core: every time i think about planting/growing trees i think about a nearby park, i remember when 25 years ago the new trees were so tiny and now.... we have little woods
Rosatta Resident: They have a long way to go to even catch up with the clear-cutting that is going on, but every tree is a step towards reversing things
Rosatta Resident: Are they nice trees, AT?
    Rosatta Resident: *QT
Qt Core: they are trees ;-) i don't know more
    Rosatta Resident: lol ok
Rosatta Resident: Well, I'm glad your community has grown a small forest
    Qt Core: https://www.google.it/search?q=parco...w=1020&bih=825
Rosatta Resident: Trees absore greenhouse gasses and delay the greenhouse effect growth
    Rosatta Resident: You are Italian?
Qt Core: yes, (the park is some 10/15 minutes by feet from my home
Rosatta Resident: It is beautiful : )
Qt Core: last year there and the neighboring little airport was held the 2012 family day where at least a million people met the pope
    Rosatta Resident: How exciting!
Wol Euler: he must have been tired, shaking all those hands
Qt Core: people in a few km radius were almost prisoner in their home for a couple days... and i never saw the street so clean ;-)
    Wol Euler: :)
    Rosatta Resident: lol
    --BELL--
    Rosatta Resident: http://www.allvoices.com/contributed...8-canada-diana
Qt Core: i never partecipated, but find this idea interesting (and somewhat funny): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guerrilla_gardening
Santoshima Resident: 's current display-name is "San".
Qt Core: i've heard that around here some may just throw seeds outside they cars when passing an good spot
    Qt Core: *their
Rosatta Resident: ROFL!!! I love it!
Rosatta Resident: What a wonderful way to be rebellious - not causing harm only causing good
Rosatta Resident: Like Batman with a spade :-D
    Wol Euler: guerilla gardening :)
Rosatta Resident: Hi, San : )
Wol Euler: you can buy "seed bombs" which are little balls of humus-rich soil laced with seeds, which you can throw onto property to be-green it
    Wol Euler: hello san
    Santoshima Resident: hello
Rosatta Resident: I've never heard of that, either, Wol
Wol Euler: and yet I thought it was a North American invention
Rosatta Resident: We have a neighbor who says she is going to pave her entire front yard : (
    Qt Core: i San
Wol Euler: a way of dealing with fenced-off semi-derelict properties, just toss the bomb over the fence
Rosatta Resident: Well, there's a lot going on in the US. Hard to keep up
    Wol Euler: hehehe
Rosatta Resident: There are a lot of places that need good seed bombs in the US
Rosatta Resident: Not so much here because it rains so much there are plenty of native plants to move in, but there are areas
Rosatta Resident: I see there are specialties in seed bombs - fro birds and butterflies, herbs, for pollinators, etc
Rosatta Resident: I am seeing instruction on how to make them and how to use them lol Wol, you may have instigated my becoming an illegal planter
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
    Rosatta Resident: :-D
Wol Euler: I'll come and visit you behind bars, and bring a cake
Rosatta Resident: With a file in it, I hope :-D
    Wol Euler grins.
    --BELL--
Rosatta Resident: 'The earliest records of aerial reforestation date back from 1930. In this period, planes were used to distribute seeds over certain inaccessible mountains in Honolulu after forest fires. (From Wikipedia) So they are used legally as well lol
    Wol Euler nods.
    Santoshima Resident: http://www.slideshare.net/sustainabl...tamets-5661028
Santoshima Resident: blatent promo for mr stamets
Santoshima Resident: (of 6 ways to save the planet with fungi
    Santoshima Resident: ted talk fame
Santoshima Resident: needs a sounds track
Rosatta Resident: That makes sense. I know that there have been places that the US forest Service has tried to replant but because of lack of soil organisms, nothing would grow, or grow well
Rosatta Resident: They have had to innoculate the soil first
Qt Core: time to go for me, bye all
Rosatta Resident: Ty for being here, QT
    Santoshima Resident: bye qt
Rosatta Resident: You are a sweet guy
Wol Euler: bye qt, take care
    Santoshima Resident: :)
    Qt Core: :-)
    --BELL--
Santoshima Resident: good to see you both
    Santoshima Resident: bye for now
    Rosatta Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzZzZ_qpZ4w
Rosatta Resident: Bye, San : )
Rosatta Resident: I will be going, too, Wol. Best wishes for a pleasant trip - safe journey and pleasant visit
    Wol Euler: thank you, rosatta!
    Wol Euler: take care
    Rosatta Resident: Yvw : )
Rosatta Resident: You, too, dear lady
