SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, for the same reasons you pointed out, the urgency of pressing tasks, and the frustrations involved with that
Fefonz Quan: the urgency and intensity of task Storm, makes it hard to 'let things be', cause it requires active actions all the time
SophiaSharon Larnia: the quality, i am in a faster mode not conducive for contemplation
Zen Arado: but you are being mindful if you are fully doing your tasks?
Fefonz Quan: and it is much harder to see things as 'been done without 'you' involved' and YOU need to do them

Storm Nordwind: meditation can be a tool and there are very many different forms. But if the object of our meditation is chaos then we will be centred on chaos. If meditation does not also point you to what is real, then I wonder if I'd bother to do it!

Storm Nordwind: Last year we did a brief set of exercises in Play as Being. One of them was called You seeing, Being Seeing.

Storm Nordwind: The idea was to be fully present in yourself and see all you can see - like a cone of perception from your eyes, your skin feeling everythinh etc
Storm Nordwind: And then you had to make the switch to being aware of seeing as Being instead. Letting Being see.
Storm Nordwind: It took me a day or two, but I remember the awe when I eventually connected to it
Storm Nordwind: It was, for me, like reading the Bhagavad Gita and being Krishna in his all powerful form.
Zen Arado: like getting your 'self' out of the way?
Eliza Madrigal: a real shift then...
Storm Nordwind: But I have to say, it was hard to be conscious of that and also to operate in this small world at the same time

Fefonz Quan: maybe that's what holds me back, even when i practice 'being see', i let it see from my ponit of view...
