    Bertrum Quan: good evening everyone
    Eden Haiku: Hi!
stevenaia Michinaga: welcome back, do you attend all the meetings, Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Almost, I'm kind of addicted to this.;-)
stevenaia Michinaga: just wait a few years
stevenaia Michinaga: it's a perfect evening timeslot for me
Eden Haiku: Especially the onigokko part...
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, extreme Play
Eden Haiku: I'm writing a lot of haikus too...
Eden Haiku: I'm unpacking after a not so recent move but there is always more to do...
stevenaia Michinaga: it does have a nice affect on one's creativeness
stevenaia Michinaga: are you in a creative field bert?
stevenaia Michinaga: he must be unpacking too
    Eden Haiku: ;-)))
    Bertrum Quan: creative, yes.
Eden Haiku: What about a bit of onigokko Steve, can you start it?
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
stevenaia Michinaga: I need to put my tail on first
    Eden Haiku: I have mine.
    stevenaia Michinaga: ONIGOKKO
    stevenaia Michinaga: hummm
    stevenaia Michinaga: onigokko
    stevenaia Michinaga: stop
    stevenaia Michinaga: like that?
Eden Haiku: Would Bertram like an onigokko maybe?
    Bertrum Quan: sure. thanks
    stevenaia Michinaga: now wear it
Eden Haiku: You just click left and then wear.
    stevenaia Michinaga: onigokko
    stevenaia Michinaga: stop
    --BELL--
    stevenaia Michinaga: onigokko
    stevenaia Michinaga: stop
stevenaia Michinaga: just checking to see if it works when one is away
stevenaia Michinaga: how are you pila
Pila Mulligan: I'm fine thanks -- hi
Eden Haiku: Aah.. I don't care anymore about how many more boxes I have to unpack ;-)
    Eden Haiku: Is Pila invisible?
stevenaia Michinaga: no he's to my left
    Pila Mulligan: hi Eden
Pila Mulligan: opposite side from Bert
Bertrum Quan: He's clear on my screen.
Eden Haiku: Oh I see you now Pila!
    Pila Mulligan: hi
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Bertrum Quan: How are the volcanos, Pila?
Pila Mulligan: they seem to be happy, Bert
Bertrum Quan: Does that mean bubbling over with enthusiasm?
Pila Mulligan: just flowing along, without rumbling tummys
    Bertrum Quan: Status quo then.
Pila Mulligan: yep, the best -- ordinary

Eden described a PaB moment in RL while she was scrubbing some kitchen pots ...

Eden Haiku: I had a PaB moment in Rl as I was scrubbing some kitchen pots earlier on..
Bertrum Quan: And what happened during that process?
Bertrum Quan: to trigger a PaB moment?
Eden Haiku: I became a witness to all the emotional stuff connected to the moment: I felt angry at the pot (;-), at myself, impatient and so on...
Bertrum Quan: why at the pot?
    Pila Mulligan: 'you dirty pot!'
Eden Haiku: Poor thing I know, it didn't deserve my anger...
Eden Haiku: It was just doing its pot thing: getting dirty cooking vegetables in oil with maple syrup. That was my brillilant idea...
    Pila Mulligan: sounds yummy
    Eden Haiku: It was ;-)
Pila Mulligan: but left a gummy pot?
Eden Haiku: You understand me so well!
Pila Mulligan: yummy, gummy and angry

.. and this led to the topic of Haiku poetry

Eden Haiku: Yummy, gummy and angry that would be the second verse of a new haiku: seven syllabes.
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Eden Haiku: May I steal this verse from you for my next haiku Pila?
Pila Mulligan: sure -- so the PaB moment was observing the pot washing emotion
Pila Mulligan: the next verse may be a pithy comment on ups and downs at dinner
    Eden Haiku: Like what?
    --BELL--
Pila Mulligan: I'm not the poet :)
Pila Mulligan: how about: '... stewing, stewing' :)
Eden Haiku: We need a fifth syllabe: stewing, stewing stew?
    Pila Mulligan: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: just distracted, poetry has intersting affects on me
Eden Haiku: How is that Stevenaia?
stevenaia Michinaga: I'm usually totally disinterested in it.... untill I read it and discover its passonr
    stevenaia Michinaga: passion
Pila Mulligan: vegetables, maple syrup Yummy, gummy and angry stewing, stewing stew
Eden Haiku: Passionate washing/Yummy, gummy and angry/Stewing stewing stew
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Pila Mulligan: mo betta ( = more better, a Hawaiian pidgin superlative)
stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm, no intention creats intention
Eden Haiku: I beleive Bertram is a writer too. Could you help us with this poor haiku?
Eden Haiku: Remember waht Aztlan said yesterday about 'It would be cool if...'? I wrote haikus about that,

Eden handed out a note card with some Haiku poems inspired by a previous PaB session

    Pila Mulligan: :)
Bertrum Quan: Am interested in writing: 5-7-5 is all we need for our haikus
    Eden Haiku: Yes, 5-7-5.
    Bertrum Quan: Thanks, Eden
    Pila Mulligan: thanks Eden
Eden Haiku: It is a lot of fun writing these.
    Pixels sitting still
Our names bright over our heads
    We share our visions

    Running like mad mice
    On onigokko fast track
    We empty our minds

    Scintillating flash
It would be cool if Aztlan
    Did launch something here

    It would be cool if
    We would create a thousand
    'It would be cool if'

    Our thoughts in verses
    Five seven five syllabes

    Eden Haiku: Me too ;-)

    ... the next topic: geography

Pila Mulligan: in Hawaiian, haiku is the name of a flower
Eden Haiku: Is it? Do you live in Hawai Pila?
    Pila Mulligan: yes
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: I travelled back to a time when I was in Kauai under double rainbows during the silence.
Pila Mulligan: it is the flower of the Kahili plant, a kind of protea
    Pila Mulligan: ahh, Kauai magic
Eden Haiku: A protea, is a flower?
    Pila Mulligan: yes, a plant
Eden Haiku: Yes, I loved Kauai and alo Maui. I would have liked to see the Big Isalnd but I did not go.
    Pila Mulligan: http://www.instanthawaii.com/cgi-bin...Plants.kflower
Pila Mulligan: I live on the Big Island now, after 20 years on Maui
Pila Mulligan: but i also love Kauai
Eden Haiku: Thanks for the site. It is a beautiful flower. Were you born in Hawaii or is your life a dream come true?
Pila Mulligan: ... it was the Big Island's Kilauea volcano Burt asked about earlier
Pila Mulligan: nope, a dream realized in 1985, just before i tunred 40 :)
Pila Mulligan: an escape from mid-life
Eden Haiku: Wonderful! I had this fantasy of going to live there. I saw myself teaching literature at the University of Hawaii. ;-)
Pila Mulligan: why don't you do it then?
stevenaia Michinaga: time to turn in
Eden Haiku: I'm going to India this winter.
Pila Mulligan: bye Steve, have fun at the session Saturday
Eden Haiku: Bye Steve, nice to see you again!
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: thx
Pila Mulligan: rl Princeton that is
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes

    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
Eden Haiku: What time is it in Hawaii PIla?
Pila Mulligan: almost 6 pm here now
Pila Mulligan: you were in India before, weren't you -- do you go there often?
Eden Haiku: Yes. I went a few times. Here it is almost 11 o"clock at night.
Pila Mulligan: here is where? (if you wish to say)
    Pila Mulligan: EST somewhere
Eden Haiku: Ah ah... I see my dear Watson. Frst let me ask you: are you Thursday or Friday?
Eden Haiku: I live in Montreal.
Pila Mulligan: Thursday actually, although for some reason until you asked I was thinking it was Friday
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Eden Haiku: That is another problem ;-)
Pila Mulligan: the date line is between here and Australia
Pila Mulligan: it is early afternoon Friday there
Pila Mulligan: ah, yes Montreal, I rememebr now
Pila Mulligan: you and Fox were going to meet in a coffee shop
Eden Haiku: So I have been living in Mahrashtra near Bombay (Mumbai now), I also travelled south in Andrah Pardesh and north in Rajasthan and delhi. This time, I'M going in Pondichery mainly and then Himachal Pradesh,
    Pila Mulligan: wow, what travels
Eden Haiku: yes, we have to organize that. I would like to meet her.
Eden Haiku: Yes, I have a travelling karma. ;-)
Pila Mulligan: Pondichery is where the Sri Aurobindo Gose Ashrma is located, I believe
Eden Haiku: Yes it is. My trip is not related to that though.
Pila Mulligan: there is an interesting story about Sri Aurobindo
Eden Haiku: I visited Auroville and Aurobindo ashram. It was interesting.
Pila Mulligan: during World War II he was in prison in India -- he was seen as a nationalist rabble rouser by the British governors
Eden Haiku: Would you tell it to me?
    --BELL--
Pila Mulligan: while he was in prison, he says, he meditated extensively on Hitler, such that by the time of the evacuation at Dunkirk he said he was able to distract Hitler from pursuing the evacuess while they escaped
Eden Haiku: Oh,,,== do you think he was delusional?
    Pila Mulligan: no :)
Eden Haiku: The power of his mind ...
Pila Mulligan: Hitler was indeed distracted from attacking Dunkirk
    Pila Mulligan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunkirk_evacuation
Eden Haiku: It is about time for me to go to bed. It was so nice meeting you again Pila!
Pila Mulligan: bye for now Eden
    Pila Mulligan: sweet dreams
Eden Haiku: Have a great evening in Hawaii. Aren't you lucky ;-)
