[01:08] Agatha Macbeth: I didn't see you leave last night
[01:08] Wol Euler: sorry, I was overcome by sudden yawnishness
[01:09] Wol Euler: I did announce it and say general goodbyes#
[01:09] Agatha Macbeth: One of those quick exits
[01:09] Agatha Macbeth: Must have been afk
    [01:09] Wol Euler: mmhmm
[01:09] Wol Euler: jus' like that, heheheh
    [01:09] ikumiasahi Resident smiles.
[01:09] Agatha Macbeth: Spoon jar jar spoon
    [01:09] Wol Euler: magic word

[01:10] Agatha Macbeth: Are you new here Asahi?
[01:10] ikumiasahi Resident: yes and no :)
    [01:10] Agatha Macbeth: Ah
    [01:10] Agatha Macbeth: Understood
    [01:10] Wol Euler smiles.
    [01:10] Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    [01:10] Wol Euler: reincarnation
    [01:11] Wol Euler: or reinpixelation
    [01:11] Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
[01:11] Agatha Macbeth: Wish Boxy would do it
[01:11] ikumiasahi Resident: or reavatarization? :)
    [01:11] Wol Euler: yeah :(
    [01:11] Agatha Macbeth: Mm

[01:13] Agatha Macbeth: Are you ok with doing all these weekend sessions Wollie?
    [01:13] Wol Euler: sure
    [01:13] Agatha Macbeth: Fair enough
[01:13] Wol Euler: apart from sudden problems with competition deadlines and the like
    [01:13] Agatha Macbeth: Yes true
[01:13] Wol Euler: my thinking was taht I am here for them *anyway* and posting the log isn't that onerous, so why not
[01:13] Agatha Macbeth: You can always get a replacement for that i guess

[01:14] Agatha Macbeth: Gives you an incentive to get up anyway :p
    [01:14] Wol Euler: yep
[01:14] Agatha Macbeth: You sleepy old furry you
[01:15] Wol Euler yawns in agreement.
[01:17] Wol Euler: my plans for the weekends include at least one lengthy nap per day
    [01:17] Agatha Macbeth: Good :)
[01:17] Agatha Macbeth: Hope you have some nice dreams
    [01:17] Wol Euler: thanks
[01:17] Agatha Macbeth pulls your antlers
    [01:18] Wol Euler: ow
[01:18] Agatha Macbeth: With my hand
    [01:18] Wol Euler: heheh
    [01:18] Agatha Macbeth: 7sm

[01:19] Wol Euler: how about you two, any plans?
[01:19] Agatha Macbeth: Family day later so do some house cleaning first probably
[01:19] Agatha Macbeth: And listen to the ashes of course
[01:20] ikumiasahi Resident: listening to ashes?
    [01:20] Agatha Macbeth: Ah
    [01:20] Wol Euler: talkative fireplace
[01:20] Agatha Macbeth: Yes that would be a bit obscure if you're not in UK or Australia

[01:21] Agatha Macbeth: Cricket basically :p
[01:21] Wol Euler: ah, not ashes but Ashes :)
[01:21] Agatha Macbeth: The reason it got called 'the ashes' is a little convoluted
    [01:21] ikumiasahi Resident: Ah, it's a team's name?
[01:21] Wol Euler: an event, rather
[01:22] Agatha Macbeth: It's basically a series between England and Australia
[01:22] ikumiasahi Resident: Ah, kind of makes sense now even though I don't really know the details :)
    [01:22] Agatha Macbeth grins
[01:23] Agatha Macbeth: It would probably be awfully obscure to someone from outside the Commonwealth I agree
    [01:23] Agatha Macbeth grins
[01:23] Agatha Macbeth: Tho the game is played in the US and Canada
[01:24] Agatha Macbeth: They have match each year

[01:24] Agatha Macbeth: I remember Canada being in the world cup once
    [01:26] Wol Euler smiles.
[01:26] Wol Euler: but only once, I bet
[01:27] Wol Euler: if I remember rightly, the name commemorates the first Aussie victory over England, the team burned the cricket stumps after teh match in a ceremony of desolation :)
[01:27] Wol Euler: (the english team)
[01:27] Agatha Macbeth: Yes it was a kind of joke
[01:28] Agatha Macbeth: Someone wrote a letter in the Times I think
[01:29] Agatha Macbeth: About the body of english cricket being cremated and taken to Australia
    [01:29] Wol Euler: ah

[01:29] Agatha Macbeth: Funny how traditions start sometimes

[01:29] Wol Euler: although a letter to the Times is a thoroughly traditional English way of starting things :)
[01:30] Agatha Macbeth: Maybe still, I haven't read it for years
[01:31] ikumiasahi Resident: Yes, newspapers are becoming an endangered species :)
[01:32] Agatha Macbeth: Well some of them deserve no less
[01:32] Agatha Macbeth: But I always had a fondness for the Times and the Guardian
    [01:32] Wol Euler nods.
[01:33] Wol Euler: I read the Times when I lived there
[01:33] Wol Euler: but not on a daily basis
[01:33] Wol Euler: there would usually be a copy lying around in the college bar
[01:33] Agatha Macbeth: It's got a bit much now with all these different section they have

[01:34] ikumiasahi Resident: I've gotten by never really reading a paper newspaper.
[01:34] Wol Euler: inflation! It used to be fairly slim, easy to carry and read, and worth reading
    [01:34] Agatha Macbeth: Yes
[01:34] ikumiasahi Resident: ... ell, aside from the cartoons sometimes when the chance presented itself.
    [01:34] Agatha Macbeth: Ah yes
[01:35] Agatha Macbeth: I remember Doonsbury well
[01:35] Agatha Macbeth: Was it Doonsbury?
[01:35] Agatha Macbeth: The one with Boopsie and Hunk Ra
[01:35] Wol Euler: hmmmm, not sure
[01:36] Agatha Macbeth: And the bloke who always wore a NFL helmet
[01:36] Wol Euler: yes, that was doonesbury
    [01:36] Agatha Macbeth: Ah sp.
[01:36] Wol Euler: I remember him, the Vietnam vet
    [01:36] Agatha Macbeth: Yep
    [01:36] Agatha Macbeth: Memories
    [01:36] Wol Euler nods.
[01:36] Wol Euler: man, that comic has been going since I was a youthful person
[01:37] Agatha Macbeth: And the Steve Bell one that always had penguins in it
    [01:37] Agatha Macbeth smiles
    [01:37] Wol Euler: right! heheheheh

[01:37] Wol Euler: Doonesbury started in 1970. Wow.
    [01:37] Agatha Macbeth: Good lord
[01:39] Agatha Macbeth: We were just kids
    [01:39] Wol Euler: mmhmm
    [01:39] ikumiasahi Resident: It's older than I am :)
    [01:39] Wol Euler: ha, yes
[01:39] Agatha Macbeth: Ok, don't rub it in :p
    [01:39] ikumiasahi Resident grins.
[01:41] Agatha Macbeth: Doesn't Hana usually come at this time?
[01:41] Wol Euler: yep, she must be busy
[01:41] Wol Euler: it's dinnertime in Kyoto

[01:41] Agatha Macbeth: I read the pilgrim thing last week
[01:42] Agatha Macbeth: A pilgrimmage in hiking boots is an interesting concept
[01:43] Wol Euler: fairly common actually
[01:43] Wol Euler: no need to go in rags these days
[01:44] Agatha Macbeth: I pictured it being a barefoot thing
[01:45] Wol Euler: one could, if one wished, of course
[01:46] Agatha Macbeth: The ones who climb steps on their knees amaze me
    [01:47] Wol Euler nods.
[01:47] ikumiasahi Resident: that sounds... painful
    [01:47] Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
[01:47] Agatha Macbeth: I think that's the point actually
[01:47] Wol Euler: that is pretty much the point, as I understand it
    [01:47] Wol Euler: snap

    [01:47] Agatha Macbeth: Devotion
[01:47] Wol Euler: "see what I do for you"
    [01:47] Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
[01:48] Wol Euler: like a non-violent suicide bomber
    [01:48] Agatha Macbeth: Right
[01:48] Wol Euler: both basically think "my body is worthless"

[01:48] ikumiasahi Resident: You find weird comparisons :D

[01:48] Wol Euler: suicide bomber goes further and thinks "and so are theirs"
    [01:48] Wol Euler chuckles.
[01:49] Agatha Macbeth: In the third world religion is all of people have to get by
[01:49] Agatha Macbeth: a lot of
[01:50] Agatha Macbeth: I'll try that again
[01:50] Agatha Macbeth: In the third world religion is all a lot of people have to get by

[01:51] ikumiasahi Resident: especially if you get shunned if you don't at least pretend you follow it.
    [01:52] ikumiasahi Resident: (or worse)
    [01:52] Wol Euler nods.
    [01:56] Wol Euler: ow
    [01:57] Wol Euler: better :)

[01:57] Agatha Macbeth: The tale of the tail
    [01:58] Wol Euler smiles.
    [02:01] Agatha Macbeth: Anyways
[02:02] Agatha Macbeth: Time to get some cleaning done
[02:02] Agatha Macbeth: Have fun folks
    [02:02] Wol Euler: bye aggers!
[02:02] Wol Euler: I should move on too, I have things to do before my nap :) heheheheh
[02:03] ikumiasahi Resident: Have fun :)
[02:03] Wol Euler: take care, asahi, enjoy the weekend
[02:03] ikumiasahi Resident: You too :)
