    Paradise Tennant: ;)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Eden
Pema Pera: with some silences in between of course, for hightened suspense, like the Nixon watergate tapes from a similar ear

    Paradise Tennant: hiya eden

Eden Haiku: yes Pema, Stevenaia is right. It is my 4th meetng here, You are the founder of PaB aren't you?
    --BELL--
doug Sosa: eden haiku. east west. I once had a consulting company , Shakespeare and Tao consulting.
Pema Pera: well, the instigator really. From the first day on, many others helped me to get PaB up and running
doug Sosa: wow a moment of pila in his underwear.

    Paradise Tennant: ::)
Pema Pera: your arrival left us speechless, Tarmel
    Eden Haiku: Yes, speechless..
Tarmel Udimo: ah dear pema, always the right thing to say:)
    Eden Haiku: :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia has been doing a lot of the 9 secs in anticipation of the upcoming retreat.... more than before
Eden Haiku: The little dragon on your shoulder is so cute!
    Tarmel Udimo: (tks)
    Paradise Tennant: yes me too
Tarmel Udimo: you are going Sophia, and Paradise - congratulations!
Pema Pera: glad to hear that, Sophia and Paradise!
Eden Haiku: When is the retreat Sophia?

    Pema Pera: NJ
Paradise Tennant: very much looking forward to it .. I have never been to a retreat before
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ::::::: I ❤ THIS T U N E ! ! ! ::::::: HOoOoOUlalalala :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i was starting to out the bell on my computer...needed a restart :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: what!!!
Eden Haiku: Interesting answer Pema. When? princeton. Very gnostic answer...
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh my goodness.... fixing THAT tyvm
Pema Pera: Princeton is timeless, Eden
    Tarmel Udimo: opps
Pema Pera: like the garden of Eden
    Eden Haiku: ;-))
Pema Pera: but when = in two days
    Pema Pera: :)
Eden Haiku: Would love to attend. Next time maybe...
SophiaSharon Larnia: (is hoping Pema can edit that out)
Pema Pera: Have you played a bit with the 9-sec explorations, Eden?
Eden Haiku: Yes, this afternoon, in the subway, I started being aware of the 9 seconds...I was a witness.
Eden Haiku: Is 9 or 90 seconds? i see both...
Pema Pera: How did that feel, Eden?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Benedizione
Pema Pera: Oh, here we do 90 seconds for good measure :)
Pema Pera: usuall 9 seconds in RL
    Pila Mulligan: hi Bene
    Pema Pera: Hi Bene!
Pema Pera: Great to see you again!
Benedizione Vita: ah, sorry! not everyone had loaded yet
    SophiaSharon Larnia: np :)
    Paradise Tennant: hello bene gtsy
Benedizione Vita: yes, hello everyone--good to see you too pema!
Eden Haiku: I felt connected to this place, the people I met here, this experiment. Aslo other meditation experiences. very good feeling.
    doug Sosa: :)
    Paradise Tennant: yes
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Tarmel Udimo: it was like that for me too!
Paradise Tennant: always a good shared sense of being .. being aware .. being together .. :)
Tarmel Udimo: witness= holding space for being
SophiaSharon Larnia: i have a question of space to ask, was just reminded now by that comment :)
    Tarmel Udimo: great!
SophiaSharon Larnia: I have been thinking a bit lately of 'sharing' space, how is it held, and shared?
    Eden Haiku: Deep question.
Tarmel Udimo: being attentive, present, open watching life unfold and yet still engaged
SophiaSharon Larnia: so it is the engagment that is the sharing? engagement with others and what is going on
doug Sosa: Related, and not, to private property, and why do we think of our life more in time spent than in space traveled?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
    --BELL--
Pema Pera: engagement seems to be the one thing that all traditions share, much more important than anything else . . . whether meditating, praying, working for social causes, the environment, anything.
Paradise Tennant: hmm close ness .. mutual perceptions .. experiences . open communication .. a sense of being part of ... i guess all relate to engagement
Pema Pera: Any story about any wise woman or man in history starts with a description of how engaged they were
    Paradise Tennant: engaged=present
Benedizione Vita: sometimes to the point of disengagement to what they weren't engaged with--archimedes comes to mind
Eden Haiku: In space traveled and in time spent as ways to measure our involvement with others is it Doug?
doug Sosa: i didn't say space travel, as in out there, but as paths on the earth, what i had in mind.
Tarmel Udimo: do you mean only able to focus on what was of interest> Bene
    SophiaSharon Larnia: traveling in time
doug Sosa: I am x years old vs I am y countries old..
    SophiaSharon Larnia: (which takes space)
Benedizione Vita: tarmel I am not sure, I am thinking about it... what it means to be thoroughly engaged with some thing and yet seemingly completely unengaged with something else
Pema Pera: (yes, Paradise, being really engaged is also going beyond time, beyond even the present, into timeless time)
Eden Haiku: Yes, I understood that you meant space traveled together. On earth.
Eden Haiku: Or in mental routes or whatever.
    Paradise Tennant: timeless time
    Paradise Tennant: ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: is there spaceless space?
    Paradise Tennant: :) sophia
Tarmel Udimo: before the big bang i think sophia:)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: grins
Benedizione Vita: doug that is a nice idea, "x countris old"
Tarmel Udimo: yes I am not sure either bene but i think its about choice
doug Sosa: any wisdom i have comes more from travels than from years.
Pila Mulligan: sharing and holding space can realte to time, also -- the word kalpa usually refers to an extremely long period of time -- close to infinite, but not quite -- I once heard a teacher use the term kalpa also to describe a mind moment -- such that we may have a moment where our mind approaches a perception of nearly infinite duration -- so sharing and holding space may realte to sharing and holding a particularly meaningful time
doug Sosa: but engagementadds a dimension. comes from french for "pledge"
Benedizione Vita: still, you need some amount of time in each country--maybe its a ct (countries times time) formula ;^)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: (or a interesting!!!
    Tarmel Udimo: nice one Pila:)
SophiaSharon Larnia: ( minus or a...typo)
Pema Pera: yes, Pila, a way to approach timeless time, through a backdoor of time so to speak
doug Sosa: time and sapce seem like two ways of looking at the same thing - except for reversibility ??
Pema Pera: in a lived sense they are quite different; time has more connection with energy
Tarmel Udimo: and yet it feels like we need to occupy space to be able to sense time
Tarmel Udimo: time and energy - can you say more Pema?
doug Sosa: Pema, how? Why? don't see it.
Pema Pera: well, space as such offers possibilities
    Pema Pera: room
Pema Pera: while time is associated with motion, growth, development
Tarmel Udimo: space needed to be created, before time could be experienced?
SophiaSharon Larnia: so space is the anticipation, the 'pregnant pause' and time is the moving?
Pema Pera: yes, I think that is part of it, Sophia
Eden Haiku: I like that. The pregnant pause,
Paradise Tennant: hmm was listening to a time expert ..who is suggesting time is more like geography that we may move on but the moments are more like hills they stay .. this moment we have together stays somewhere but our attention ..moves to the next ..moment .they are akin to hills
Pema Pera: creating itself presupposes time, interestingly . . .
Tarmel Udimo: yes the old question of what came before....
Eden Haiku: I heard once time is holographic. Past lives, present lives, futures lives all at the same «time».
SophiaSharon Larnia: seeing hills of time Paradise, interesting :))
Paradise Tennant: hmm blinking for his name
Benedizione Vita: speaking of time, I am afraid I must act like an atom and split, but it is very good to see everyone :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
    Tarmel Udimo: hehehe
    Pema Pera: :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles at bene :)
    Paradise Tennant: and waves
    Eden Haiku: Bye B4nedizione!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Bye Benedizione
Pema Pera: split wood not atoms, Bene!
    Tarmel Udimo: bye
    SophiaSharon Larnia: (typo)
    Tarmel Udimo: carry water too
    SophiaSharon Larnia: lol Pema
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: well if time was more geographic in its nature than we can perceive it would interesting to understand what type of topography relates to certain moments - does harmony create .. gentle valley disharmoney jagged cliffs :)
    Tarmel Udimo: :)
doug Sosa: Lots of abstractionhere. If you try the 9 sec and look at the experience and, when its over ask about sapce and time..
SophiaSharon Larnia: the question came from my experience of the 9 secs
    SophiaSharon Larnia: as a 'space'
doug Sosa: and what happens, in rerospect, about space and time?
Pila Mulligan: the characteristics of typical situations combine the two ideas -- time and space
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, theres a long answer to that, over many weeks
doug Sosa: yep, that seems right. part of a whole. bething is apaceand time, so is lookig
    doug Sosa: breathing
Tarmel Udimo: hummm I have noticed a shift lately
Tarmel Udimo: not sure how to describe it whether its spacial or temporal or just Being
Pema Pera: can you tell us more, Sophia?
    Pema Pera: (and Tarmel?)
Tarmel Udimo: but it feels like the place I am in my awareness kind of expands in the moment, almost like a lens coming into focus
SophiaSharon Larnia: it came from seeing those seconds as a different space first, as a witness, i guess you could say, but not being the only one
    SophiaSharon Larnia: a participant
SophiaSharon Larnia: it actually came from trying to figure out 'what is my rice?' which is unrelated to pab
SophiaSharon Larnia: as in a mandala offering
Tarmel Udimo: what is my rice?
SophiaSharon Larnia: in a mandala offering you offer something precious to you, which was food in the past
    Tarmel Udimo: OK
SophiaSharon Larnia: the thing i held as my most precious thing is this space
SophiaSharon Larnia: so how to share it?
SophiaSharon Larnia: sounds strange here in text ;p
SophiaSharon Larnia: theres more but a bit personal :)
    Paradise Tennant: ;)
Pema Pera: thank you, Sophia, for sharing -- yes, these things are often hard to put into words . . .
Pila Mulligan: so the situation you associated with your time here, Sharon, has signifigance you would like to share, as in an offering, elsewhere?
SophiaSharon Larnia: from what i have realized from being here...
SophiaSharon Larnia: its all related and almost impossible to seperate
SophiaSharon Larnia: at least for me
Eden Haiku: Stevenaia is dozing off...
Pila Mulligan: the expeinece may not transfer easily, but your realizations will stay with you :)
    Paradise Tennant: yes
Paradise Tennant: a step in the path :)
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
    --BELL--
SophiaSharon Larnia: much resistence here , and trying to drop that
Eden Haiku: The bell made me ralize I was only half here...
    Paradise Tennant: :)
Pila Mulligan: I've really appreciated sme of yuor insightful comments here, Sharon, remembering in particular one about how you were dismayed by how the realization of how stuck people are in their habits, or something to that effect -- that seems to me to be a big insight
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, attachmnet to our stories reminded me being stuck in a loculated type of space
    Paradise Tennant: :) yes
    Tarmel Udimo: nods
Pila Mulligan: your comment stuck with me :) (maye struck is better -- as in resonance)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Tarmel Udimo: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: it is such a physical thing though, that was the kicker
Pema Pera appreciating very much the conversation, is also about to fall asleep, and is quietly sneaking off to get some rest -- see you all soon again!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Pema
    SophiaSharon Larnia: sleep well
    Pila Mulligan: bye Pema
Pema Pera: bye everybody, thanks for a wonderful conversation!
    Tarmel Udimo: bye pema
    stevenaia Michinaga: see you soon

    stevenaia Michinaga: night all

    Tarmel Udimo: night steve
    Pila Mulligan: bye Steve
    Paradise Tennant: nite nite steve

Tarmel Udimo: also hard to talk about
Paradise Tennant: well I am going to excuse myself too .. I have an early morning :)
