Xirana Oximoxi: ahh that's a nice temperature:)
    Zen Arado: too cold
Zen Arado: and windy as well
Xirana Oximoxi: well...yes, to be in summer it's a little too cold:)
Zen Arado: was raining this morning
Xirana Oximoxi: we need rain now.... 2 months without it and it's very dangerous for the 'fire' in woods
    Zen Arado: hmmm yes
Xirana Oximoxi: last weel abig fire burned a lot of land at the north of Cataloina
Zen Arado: 'the rain is Spain stays mainly on the plain'
    Zen Arado: in
Zen Arado: you know that saying?
Xirana Oximoxi: where I live it's usually green and rainy all year...but not this summer
    Xirana Oximoxi: no:)
Zen Arado: I learned that in school
    Xirana Oximoxi: oh!
Xirana Oximoxi: and what doea it mean exactly?
Zen Arado: I think it was a geography clas
    Zen Arado: class
Zen Arado: I don't know where the 'plain' is though
Xirana Oximoxi: but it makes no sense... at the plain it rains less than in the mountains
Xirana Oximoxi: ah yes...that's what I was wondering:)
Zen Arado: hmmm yes...that's why I was so bad at geography
    Xirana Oximoxi: hehe :)
    Zen Arado: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: is your city full of tourists at this time of the year?
Zen Arado: yes lots where I live
Zen Arado: they come to see the castle
Xirana Oximoxi: yes..I saw the link and some ictures and it's a nice place to visit
    Xirana Oximoxi: pictures*
Xirana Oximoxi: have you ever paint the castle?
Zen Arado: I see Japanese tourists take photos of King Billy statue
Zen Arado: and I wonder why :)
Zen Arado: people just look for things to photograph
Zen Arado: it is an ugly statue
Xirana Oximoxi: maybe the statue is nice:)
Zen Arado: and an ugly castle :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh ok:))
Xirana Oximoxi: well... the castle is not ugly :)... as far as I remember:)
    Zen Arado: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21212853@N08/2251416364/
Xirana Oximoxi: I'll have to have a look again:)
Xirana Oximoxi: thank you....king billy has a generous hair:)) and that may seen 'exotic' to japanese:))
    Zen Arado: you think?
    Zen Arado: probably a wig
Zen Arado: the sculptor was asked to make it life sized
    --BELL--
Zen Arado: but he was a small man
Xirana Oximoxi: the castle is not very nice...you are right :) but maybe in rl and specially when one is on holidays we see things with more positive eyes :)
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: I made a mandala last week
Xirana Oximoxi: oh....can I see it?
Zen Arado: it isn't very good
Xirana Oximoxi: I am sure it is good:))
Zen Arado: but I can leaarn and make better ones
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes...that's sure! :-)
Zen Arado: a friend showed me the principles
    Xirana Oximoxi: wow Zen:)
Zen Arado: have to go to Kira
    Xirana Oximoxi: too quick:)+

    Zen (zen.arado): but I didn't enter
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): is it a competition?
Zen (zen.arado): I need to learn more first

    Bleu (bleu.oleander): good idea Zen
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): of course
Zen (zen.arado): so hard to explain
Zen (zen.arado): I could just use iPhone
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yes...it takes some time here to get immersed and have fun:)
Zen (zen.arado): some of them use computers a bit
Zen (zen.arado): some bring in digital photo frames and paint from photo in it
    Zen (zen.arado): :)
Second Life: I Am The Goddess (miralee.munro) is offline.
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): welll...the most important is to enjoy and also the result...actually I see a lot of artists mixing all medias
Zen (zen.arado): what is yhe topic this week
Bleu (bleu.oleander): what shall we do for our next art of being project? photos? sculptures?
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): what's your favorite?
    Zen (zen.arado): ha mandalas :)
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): as sculptures?
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): photos?
Zen (zen.arado): you could explain basic idea
    Zen (zen.arado): sculpyure
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): :)) welll...it's a nice idea...but you'll have to explain the principles :))
Zen (zen.arado): maybe too much for some
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): sculptures more challenging
Zen (zen.arado): need a little building skill
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes
Zen (zen.arado): but not that mush
Zen (zen.arado): could pt it on a notecard
Zen (zen.arado): then tey could add own textures
Zen (zen.arado): only a simple couple of animation scripts needed
Bleu (bleu.oleander): what kinds of scripts?
Zen (zen.arado): smooth animation and slow rotation
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): what's a smooth animation?
Zen (zen.arado): would be fun playing with them
Zen (zen.arado): if you add it to a water texture the water moves
    Zen (zen.arado): like a river
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ah nice
Zen (zen.arado): so if you add to a painting it moves
Bleu (bleu.oleander): oh like a texture movement?
    Zen (zen.arado): best with abstracts
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I have the scripts to rotate textures
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): but maybe this one is different
Zen (zen.arado): you can play with different shapes then
Zen (zen.arado): it is a very simple script
    Zen (zen.arado): one line
Second Life: Anna (annabelledeanne) is offline.
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): :)
    Second Life: szavanna is offline.
Second Life: mighty pirate (alfred.kelberry) is online.
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I have never writen a script:)..if you want I can give you the ones I have, they are free... a friend gave it to me some time ago
Second Life: mighty pirate (alfred.kelberry) is offline.
Zen (zen.arado): a woman showed me how to do it in a very short time
Zen (zen.arado): you just add the script
    Second Life: szavanna is online.
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): http://lindenarts.blogspot.com/
Zen (zen.arado): she started with 3 cylinders
Bleu (bleu.oleander): some good classes coming up with LEA
Bleu (bleu.oleander): are you both members?
    Zen (zen.arado): LEA?
Bleu (bleu.oleander): Linden Endowment for the Arts
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): great group
    Zen (zen.arado): nope
Bleu (bleu.oleander): put on wonderful art shows
    Zen (zen.arado): a SL group?
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I think I am, but as I receive so much notices maybe I delete all:)
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): classes
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I will be aware of it
    Zen (zen.arado): must join
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes, you should
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): cool stuff
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): what I see about dinamic sculptures at LEA sims is that they use a big amount of prims
Bleu (bleu.oleander): Oberon's script classes are great
Bleu (bleu.oleander): you can subscribe to the blog for info
Zen (zen.arado): they usually go too fast for me
Bleu (bleu.oleander): ha yes for me too
Zen (zen.arado): at those kind of classes
Zen (zen.arado): I could learn it if I put my mind to it
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): thank you Bleu:) I'll have a look of what they are preparing... but I am still quite fond to brushes:)
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes, takes patience
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): :) Xiri
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): :)
Zen (zen.arado): I like the dynamicism of SL art
Bleu (bleu.oleander): haven't used my brushes in a while
Bleu (bleu.oleander): should probably dust them off :)
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I have no patience to sit in front of the computer and learn scripting
Zen (zen.arado): RL art looks a bit static to me now
Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes, to me too sometimes
Zen (zen.arado): it seems more about using shapes and textures
Zen (zen.arado): I have only used two scripts so far
Zen (zen.arado): and just added them to Contents
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yes, I understand you Zen...a lot of Art in SL takes profit of the possibilities of the tools to build here ..it's also very interesting
Zen (zen.arado): textures are more important
Bleu (bleu.oleander): it's fun to explore this new medium for art
Zen (zen.arado): but I'd like to learn to animate using Photoshop or some other program
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): it's curious....in RL I have to 'move' to make a painting...and it looks 'static'...and when you sit 'static' in front of the computer you create dinamic art:)))
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): interesting observation Xiri!
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): you're right
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): :-)
    Zen (zen.arado): hah
    Zen (zen.arado): http://community.secondlife.com/t5/T...ght/true#M1654
Bleu (bleu.oleander): movement in your mind in the same
Zen (zen.arado): haven't ried this yet though
Zen (zen.arado): I had to do a sitting for my local art club on Monday afternoon
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): a 'sitting'?
Zen (zen.arado): they paint the same things over and over agin
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): you mean a 'talk'?
Zen (zen.arado): it is an exhibition
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ahh thank you:)
Zen (zen.arado): someone has to be there to sell paintings
Zen (zen.arado): I am the only artist with abstracts
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): :)
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I like your abstraacts very much:)
Zen (zen.arado): they have only sold 3 out of about 60 paintings
    Zen (zen.arado): thanks :)
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yw:)
Bleu (bleu.oleander): me too ... very nice!
Zen (zen.arado): I just like to play with colors
Bleu (bleu.oleander): you are both very talented!
    Zen (zen.arado): I don't frame them
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ty Bleu...you are too:))
Bleu (bleu.oleander): you inspire me to start painting again
Zen (zen.arado): just use deep edge canvasses
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ahh wonderful! :-)
Bleu (bleu.oleander): I like to use the deep edge canvasses too
Zen (zen.arado): means I have to use oil or acrylic though
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): frames get expensive
Zen (zen.arado): pastels need a frame
Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes, paper works need to be frames most of the time
Zen (zen.arado): framing is ok if they sell
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): sometimes pastels look better with the most simple wood frame...
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I like mine with them...very simple and natural wood
    Zen (zen.arado): still expensive though
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes
Bleu (bleu.oleander): unless you make your own
Zen (zen.arado): and not easy to reframe
    Zen (zen.arado): need equipment then
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): in Ikea you have some different for more or less 20 euors
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): euros
Zen (zen.arado): but need mat board too
    Zen (zen.arado): mounts
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): do you have Ikes in Usa . Bleu?
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): yes
Bleu (bleu.oleander): didn't know they had frames
Zen (zen.arado): we have one in Belfast
Bleu (bleu.oleander): will check it out
Zen (zen.arado): not sure they have frames in belfast
Zen (zen.arado): could probably order online
Bleu (bleu.oleander): well have to get to work
Zen (zen.arado): I like working with pastel
Bleu (bleu.oleander): nice to see you both
    Zen (zen.arado): kk Bleu

    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): take care:)
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): ty Xiri :)
    Bleu (bleu.oleander): bye
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yw:)
    Zen (zen.arado): byee
Zen (zen.arado): ah yes and looks cheap
Second Life: Bleu (bleu.oleander) is offline.
Zen (zen.arado): it would have to be the right size though
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): the problem is that you have to cut a mat ...normally this one is not the good size for the papers I use
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yes:)
Zen (zen.arado): yes and I would find that difficult
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yes:)
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I do it myself...I have a big 'cutter' for mats...but if you have to buy it it becomes expensive again
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): how is your French going?
Zen (zen.arado): that guy Filthy Fluno sell them without frames
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): have you been practicing or making holidays like Cem and Jeff?
Second Life: Oona Ra is offline.

    Zen (zen.arado): yes no conversation
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
Zen (zen.arado): that's the most difficult
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): the most important is what you do... a little everyday
Zen (zen.arado): some things sound the same and you have to work out what is said
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): in one place or another...also reading a book, or listening to radio...
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I will go now Zen!! thanks a lot for this nice time:)
