Dear dreamy dreamer, dream a little dream, slip into the stream, are things what they seem? ...  - CH

    Maxine Walden: /help
    Maxine Walden: hi, Cal
    Caledonia Heron: hey there :)
Caledonia Heron: looks like I am wading
    Maxine Walden: hello, Susi
    Caledonia Heron: hi Susi :)
    Maxine Walden: lol, Cal
Maxine Walden: Was trying to recall how to turn the fountatin down to 'low'
Caledonia Heron: best sit down and not touch anything
    Susi Alcott: hi Maxine, Cal

The magic incantations for pool control are revealed!

    Maxine Walden: thanks ...

    Caledonia Heron: oops, lost Susi
    Caledonia Heron: maybe he crashed
    Susi Alcott: oh ?
    Caledonia Heron: oh!!
Caledonia Heron: there you are!! :)
Caledonia Heron: you were out of my field of view ..
Caledonia Heron: you are soooooo far away :)
Maxine Walden: I do not recall meeting you before, susi, is this your first time here?
    Susi Alcott: nope
Caledonia Heron: I have met Susi before , I believe he is a new guardian :)
Susi Alcott: dont' U see my title ?
    Caledonia Heron: yes I do
Maxine Walden: ah, sorry, yes, there are a few I have not met. Sorry, susi....I don't see a title

    Caledonia Heron: hi Twang :)
    Twang Rexen: Hi
Maxine Walden: oh, when I get closer I do see your title, sorry again
Susi Alcott: well, I dont exactly know why I was invited and to do what, but I try to learn
Twang Rexen: sorry if I am late
    Susi Alcott: hi Twang
Caledonia Heron: s'ok :) have you been here before Twang?
    Twang Rexen: only once
Caledonia Heron: ok :) you know we record comments to a log? ok to include you?
Twang Rexen: thats is fine by me
    Caledonia Heron: thx :)

Caledonia Heron: how did your dream talk go Maxine? I could not come, was disappointed at that
Maxine Walden: oh, think it went well, Cal, about a dozen or so and we had a good discussion with lots of questions. Think it is recorded on the kira events site
    Maxine Walden: hi Stargate
Caledonia Heron: right, thanks for the reminder ... I will read about it

    Stargate Tone: Hello all
    Caledonia Heron: hi Stargate :)
    Stargate Tone: hi Maxine
    Twang Rexen: Hello Stargate
Stargate Tone: nice to see U again
    Stargate Tone: Hello Twang
    Susi Alcott: hi stargate

Caledonia Heron: wanted to mention missing it to you personally ... again, sorry I could not go
    Stargate Tone: hi Susi
Stargate Tone: Hello Caledonia; saw U online; thought U might be here
Maxine Walden: oh, thanks, Cal. Dreams are something I pay a lot of attention to and feel are important as messengers so we did have a lot of discussion
Stargate Tone: nice to meet U for long time
Maxine Walden: would have been nice to have you there.
    Stargate Tone: ah
    Stargate Tone: ty
Caledonia Heron: yes, last time to goc this slot I think, someone named Fefonz takes it over next week ... I will still have the Thurs slot
Caledonia Heron: Pema is working hard to get everyone on just one slot :)
    Caledonia Heron: thx Maxine :)
Maxine Walden: thanks for the reminder. Yes, you have been carrying quite a load with two slots
Caledonia Heron: not too tough :) but will free me up to pick another time to participate :)
Maxine Walden: yes, that will be nice

Caledonia Heron: I realize how dreams can inform our personal awareness... do you have any thoughts about dreams and being as relates to pab?
    Caledonia Heron: (big question!!)
Maxine Walden: I currently think that, yes it is a big question, that dreams inform us about our inner, unconscious regions and so in a sense enhance our awareness of Being
Maxine Walden: sort of like another aspect of our potential awareness, another set of eyes
Stargate Tone: ....and our prob's and 'probs'
Maxine Walden: but dreams also do other things, like solve problems, whas that your thought Stargate?
    Stargate Tone: yes
Stargate Tone: donno much better guides but them dreams
Caledonia Heron: or maybe illuminate areas of concern
Stargate Tone: well...as there's not only them dreams that people 'do' while 'sleeping' :)***
Maxine Walden: absolutely, Cal, and often very eloquently illuminate concerns, if we just let our minds ponder them
Stargate Tone: and so often it's that people cannot 'depart' part of the dream even it can be -no-dream-at all...
Maxine Walden: not sure I understand your thought, Stargate
Caledonia Heron: I read your comment "enhance our awareness of being" , maybe dreams are a direct tap to being? :)

    Adams Dubrovna: Hello everyone :)
Caledonia Heron: hey there Adams :)
    Stargate Tone: ah
    Stargate Tone: sry
    Twang Rexen: Hello Adams
Stargate Tone: have good time all
Maxine Walden: you know. Cal, I rather think they might be a direct tap into Being...I think that is a very interesting idea
Adams Dubrovna: Nice to meet you Twang :)
    Maxine Walden: hi Adams

Caledonia Heron: like the picture might be that we draw back the veil of labels and can see using metaphors the aspect of being
Maxine Walden: yes, and often in details that we have been puzzling about, details of being or Being
    Susi Alcott: hi Adams
Maxine Walden: I had an example of a dream of my own that I mentioned at the talk which was illuminating to me
    Caledonia Heron: ?
Caledonia Heron: (here is where I could say... can you say more?)
Maxine Walden: I will try to relate it quickly, in case it is of interest.
    Caledonia Heron: yes please

Maxine Walden: the context of the dream was that just prior I had been in rather heated discussion with colleagues in which each of us was trying to persuade the other, not really listening to each other...
Maxine Walden: and so the dream is that there are a group of us looking at a large family-bible sized book, encased in clear impenetrable plastic so that it could not be opened nor read
Caledonia Heron: lol, no data transfer :)
Maxine Walden: And then suddenly the plastic falls away and I am able to open it, only to find that it was a dusty, musty, bits and pieces of nothing inside...not a message, nothing of value...
Maxine Walden: End of dream. but as I pondered it
Twang Rexen: Maxine r u religious?
Susi Alcott: did you find it's message ?
Maxine Walden: I thought, once again, that when we are caught in our old 'closed book' arguments, neither listening really, that there is othing of value really going on
Maxine Walden: Twang and Susi, my understanding is that there are so many ways to read dreams and this was my way of reading my dream, as I mentioned. But another person having the same dream might read it very differently,
    Twang Rexen: very true
Maxine Walden: perhaps with a more religious slant, or another perspective
Maxine Walden: but I have been interested how our states of mind influence what we can see/read/learn...
    Susi Alcott: sure
    Adams Dubrovna: yes
Maxine Walden: and that 'argumentative' state I and others had been I think informed the dream, or the dream informed me once again about the futility of such argument
Maxine Walden: so, guess that is tapping into being a bit but also having my unconscious say'there you go again...'

Susi Alcott: have you questions for that dream still ?
Adams Dubrovna having hard time imaging Maxine in an argumentative state :)
    Caledonia Heron: :)
Maxine Walden: questions, such as what it means, Susi?
    Maxine Walden: LOL, Adams
Caledonia Heron: it's elegant how nicely the situation was laid out in your dream
Susi Alcott: seeking how to ask an other way
Maxine Walden: that is so awesome, Cal, how dreams are so elegant
    Adams Dubrovna nods

Susi Alcott: do you Max feel that you founded the message of that dream ?
Caledonia Heron: yes, they can cut through the gibberish in incredibly simple pictures
Maxine Walden: for me, Susi, yes I did feel that I found the message of the dream, in that there was a kind of 'got it' feeling after pondering the dream, as if something fell into place
Susi Alcott: do you feel that all fell into place ?
Maxine Walden: that is just my discourse with my dreams, my way of trying to learn from them...others may have other experiences
Maxine Walden: yes, susi, as if all fell into place
    Susi Alcott: ty
Adams Dubrovna: I find it interesting how we seem to know the message of a dream once we finally discover it
Maxine Walden: at least at that time
Maxine Walden: agree, Adams, really interesting
Caledonia Heron: sometimes I don't remember the thread of the dream story but do remember a standout element, things that represent something maybe like the book in your example Maxine
Susi Alcott: that happens always within finding the piece of the truth there is
Maxine Walden: I have that experience too, Cal.
Susi Alcott: not only understanding the message of the dream
Maxine Walden: And it can be frustrating not to recall the whole dream, almost as if there is a tease in the dream receding, but
Maxine Walden: when I have that experience I just recall and ponder what I can grasp, as if the rest just falls over the horizon....the dream may remain elusive in such a way
Caledonia Heron: yes, it slips into the being river
    Maxine Walden: wonderful image!
Maxine Walden: so much beyond what we can see or grasp...
Caledonia Heron: maybe it will come ashore later

Adams Dubrovna: I have a sense that sometimes dream repeat until wee finally remember them
Maxine Walden: yes, by bits perhaps...come ashore...also the meaning of the same dream may change over time
Adams Dubrovna: ...or resolve the issues
Maxine Walden: I agree, Adams, think I have experienced that repetitive dream, til I finally 'get it'
Maxine Walden: yes, or resolve the issue
    Susi Alcott: sry; called again
Caledonia Heron: the repeats are about the fundamental nature of yourself shown over time maybe, one timers are current events dreams :)
    Caledonia Heron: bye Susi :)
Maxine Walden: bye susi, nice talking
    Adams Dubrovna: bye Susi
    Twang Rexen: bye susi
    Susi Alcott: _/! \_
Maxine Walden: interesting thought, Cal, I like that idea

Twang Rexen: I've had a repeat dream
    Maxine Walden: oh?
    Twang Rexen: odd really
Twang Rexen: my teeth all made of glass
Twang Rexen: and each time i try to speak
    Twang Rexen: they would shatter
Twang Rexen: no blood or anything
Caledonia Heron: broken teeth - aging
Twang Rexen: spitting the shrads into my thand
Maxine Walden: what did your ponderings about the dream or the images in it bring?
Twang Rexen: paniced in the dream
Maxine Walden: a scared, panicky feeling, as if things falling or shattering into bits?
    Twang Rexen: hmm yep
Maxine Walden: maybe the dream is trying to point to something which a part of you is trying to say, speak and it feels scary to do that, to say it to yourself
Maxine Walden: or to become aware of....if I had that dream, that would be something I would ponder about...but you may have very different thoughts about it
Caledonia Heron: maybe it's about something you already know, a part of your be view :)
Twang Rexen: hmm food for thought
    Caledonia Heron: chomp chomp
    Twang Rexen: hehehe

Adams Dubrovna: The imagery is so vivid
    Adams Dubrovna: very powerful
Maxine Walden: yes, those vivid, powerful images often are startling to our viewing selves
Maxine Walden: and in my experience it is almost as if the dream is trying to get my attention, to make me pay attention to something...
Twang Rexen: do you dream often?
Caledonia Heron: or maybe what your attentiono is already on ?
Adams Dubrovna: I seem to remember my dreams in bunches
Adams Dubrovna: when I am attuned to listening, maybe
Twang Rexen: hmm i dream more when lots of activity in RL..work or personal
Maxine Walden: maybe so, Cal. Twang,, your question about dreaming often...my experiene is that we dream all the time and the question is whether we recall our dreams, agree with Adams there, recalling when attuned or paying attention to what may be going on
Maxine Walden: so your activity level may stimulate your dreams
    Twang Rexen: stress factors too
Adams Dubrovna: A powerful dream like the one you described also might be shocking enough to wake us up
Caledonia Heron: or wish we would :)
    Adams Dubrovna: :) Cal
Maxine Walden: right, Adams, wake up from the dream or wake up re the issue of concern, the startling issue?
    Maxine Walden: maybe both
    Adams Dubrovna: yes, maybe both
    Adams Dubrovna: gets our attention

Caledonia Heron: that's the being.... to see the dream that we dream ? :)
Maxine Walden: and for me the dream may be saying 'don't turn away from this scary thing, face it and it will cease to be scary'; dreams can be guides in that way perhaps
Adams Dubrovna: to appreciate the presentation of the dreams?
Maxine Walden: oh yes, Cal and Adams, nice tie in to being
    Adams Dubrovna: yes maxine
Caledonia Heron: yes Adams that and the facet that all we do even when we're awake is a dream, a consensual labeled dream
Twang Rexen: ty for letting me participate - I need to be off
    Caledonia Heron: bye Twang :)
Adams Dubrovna: bye twang. Nice to meet you
Twang Rexen: lovely meeting with u and ty for sharing :)
Caledonia Heron: yes, same here ... see you again :)

Maxine Walden: I feel increasingly that we are always dreaming both in terms of being and in terms of everyday mental processing
Maxine Walden: nice to meet you Twang
Caledonia Heron: yes Maxine ... I am stunned by how made up everything is when I allow myself to get that
Adams Dubrovna: That's kind of a Hindu concept. Dreaming the world...
Maxine Walden: yes and yes...so mind-boggling...
Caledonia Heron: that's what makes SL such a great pab metaphor, we are dreaming this world while dreaming our world .....
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
Maxine Walden: oh, yes, sort of like Russian dolls?
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
Caledonia Heron: except outward, not inward :)
Caledonia Heron: or maybe both :)
Maxine Walden: yes, Cal, was trying to think of that dimension...
Adams Dubrovna wonders if Rubble is inside or outside
Maxine Walden: as if an infinite set both ways
Caledonia Heron: the sets are permeable
    Caledonia Heron: both Adams :)

Maxine Walden: I have rubble nearly everywhere in my psyche/being/experience
    Adams Dubrovna: haha maxine
Maxine Walden: it is letting the bits of rubble come together that seems part of the dream experience
Maxine Walden: knitting the sleeve of experience
Adams Dubrovna: hmm. so Rubble is a universal metaphor :)
Maxine Walden: gotta go in a minute, have an RL appointment on the hour...but can stay one more minute
Caledonia Heron: interesting, I think of it as taking apart, shedding
Maxine Walden: maybe it can go either way, there too, Cal
    Maxine Walden: shedding, or knitting
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
Caledonia Heron: giving away, letting go
    Caledonia Heron: maybe so Maxine
Caledonia Heron: I think it's quite possibly anything and everything :)
Maxine Walden: or letting go and letting the bits/pieces reformulate in new creative ways that then in time will need to be shed, etc
Maxine Walden: I had better go, it is always hard to leave these lovely conversations...two of my best conversation buddies...thanks a lot

Maxine Walden: see you both soon, I hope.
Adams Dubrovna: bye Maxine. Always good to see you :)
Caledonia Heron: for sure :) another good one :)
    Caledonia Heron: bye Maxine :)
Adams Dubrovna: That was a good discussion today
Caledonia Heron: yes, very interesting to me also
Caledonia Heron: hopefully on target also :)
Adams Dubrovna: I don;t think we need worry about that :)
Caledonia Heron: nah, we're good :)
    Adams Dubrovna: :)
Adams Dubrovna: I have to remember what i came into SL to do when I remembered there was a PaB session
    Caledonia Heron: lol
Caledonia Heron: easy to get re-directed
Caledonia Heron: I need to be off also ... so very good to see you :)
Adams Dubrovna: Yes, good to see you too
