Ok, so today I was really going to cut the chit-chat by having a topic.
The topic was something I heard on NPR Sunday.  One of my heroes John McLaughlin was interviewed about his new Coltrain-ish release.  Listen to it at http://www.npr.org/2011/01/02/132487...ality-in-music
There are 2 points that are relivant to PaB. 
In preparing for today's session, I replay the interview.  The Spiritality topic that I thought I heard in my sleepy pre-dawn stupor was not there.  The Miles Davis quote of "Play as if you Played Before" was there, but not as powerful as my memory served up.
Oh Darn!!!! might as well talk about my pure-energy Av outfit.

Riddle Sideways: along the way several of these things stuck

Riddle Sideways: sci fi (probably star trek) has several creatures like this
Riddle Sideways: pure energy

Riddle Sideways: supposedly advanced intelligence
Riddle Sideways: fun to play as advanced intelligence :)
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, AI
Riddle Sideways: well, I do dabble in play as AI

     Please forgive, I paraphrase the following very badly.
Riddle Sideways: In early writtings about PaB or WoK there is something
Riddle Sideways: about placing us as if at the end/head of the generations
Riddle Sideways: as if sci has advanced and no need to review history
Riddle Sideways: just live forward with that sci knowledge
Riddle Sideways: then step a little further

Riddle Sideways: in your current knowledge base
Riddle Sideways: there are un-provens
Riddle Sideways: hypothesis
Riddle Sideways: well, shall we try living in the future.  when those are proven
Riddle Sideways: sit upon a point when they are fact or false

Riddle Sideways: difficult to think of any being superior to you
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... but I have no idea, I don't believe in Gods... except maybe the nature itself:)
Riddle Sideways: song: what if g-d were one of us, just a slop like one of us.  Just a stranger on the bus trying to make his way home...
Xirana Oximoxi: and Nature is really strong and superior being... will stay here when we desapear.. (I think)
Riddle Sideways: probably why this group uses the word "Being"
Riddle Sideways: each can assign the appropriate meaning to the word "Being"
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, that's true... being can be undesrstood differently for each one
Riddle Sideways: Nature=Being is very good
Riddle Sideways: nature is all around

Riddle Sideways: goes on without us

Riddle Sideways: so sitting down with Mother Nature and chatting over a cup of nice tea

Riddle Sideways: there is a place (end of driveway) that we go almost same time every day (pick up newspaper) and look out and listen to Nature.

Riddle Sideways: count turkeys, deer, dogs

Xirana Oximoxi: I live in the countryside... and everyday I do the same walk in the morning with my dogs... and everyday the light and colours are different:)
Riddle Sideways: yes, same but always different
Xirana Oximoxi: and even if it rains or snows... the dogs don't let me stay at home:))
Riddle Sideways: good.... Cats are not like that
Xirana Oximoxi: lol... no.... they don't like to go into water
Riddle Sideways: but your friend takes you out to chat with nature 365 days
Riddle Sideways: you seeing the year revolve

Riddle Sideways: yes like dogs, just do not have any

Riddle Sideways: saw a great SPCA advert on TV
Riddle Sideways: shows quick slides of all the different types, kinds, shapes, ages, etc. etc. of humanoids
Riddle Sideways: says: no matter who you are...  you are loved
Xirana Oximoxi: SPCA = Society for the Promotion of the Communist Agenda ??
Riddle Sideways: and shows a dogs big Irish Setter eyes

Riddle Sideways: Sartre and Xirana, how many languages do you speak? and/or are learning
Sartre Placebo: I am only speaking german and english while learning spanish sometimes.
Xirana Oximoxi: I'm bilingual (Catalan and Spanish)... and learning English and German ... and long ago I could speak French quite well... but I've forgottn a lot

Riddle Sideways: languages are neccessary, but hard
Xirana Oximoxi: ah... nice... hebrew must be very difficult
Riddle Sideways: well, know about 10 computer languages
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, I agree... it's always difficult to learn a language.. but if you speak English... it's the first language of the world today
Xirana Oximoxi: WOW... 10 computer languages... those are also very complicated... I've begin to learn, HTML, CSS...but given up
Xirana Oximoxi: it's not for me.. for my Character:)
Xirana Oximoxi: with Computer languages a simple point can make the difference:)

Xirana Oximoxi: lol... you are right... in human Languages everyword and also points are also very important!!
Riddle Sideways: it was joke.... a call to distroy the world function probably should always have a "not" in it
