Eden Haiku: hello Yaku, how are you?

Eden Haiku: Eliza :) Good morning!
Yakuzza Lethecus: also baking something in the background :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eliza!
Eden Haiku: Does it smell good Yaku?
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eden and Yaku :)
Eliza Madrigal: So good to *see* you both
Yakuzza Lethecus: No it's just to bring me over the time until i will have proper dinner.

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Great outfit Eliza! No bells with this one :(
Eliza Madrigal notices the talking stick and fish... guess they need to take turns...
Eliza Madrigal: :) Eden, you're right... should put my bells back on
Eden Haiku: I'm still annoyed at the info box...
Eden Haiku: It's not realistic to have a box floating on the pond.
Eliza Madrigal: yes it looks a bit like litter...
Eliza Madrigal: but the idea of having a box isn't bad
Eden Haiku: Storm tried to create a realistic environment, I think we should respect that.
Eden Haiku: Box should be on the ground.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eden Haiku: Will ask Storm if he could do it :)
Eliza Madrigal: Storm can do it :)
Eden Haiku: See you are trying Yaku, I did try to put it on the ground but it's locked.
Eden Haiku: How was your retreat Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: fascinating, thanks for asking :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xirana
Eden Haiku: I saw you will have a session about the retreat sometimes this week.
    Eden Haiku: Hi Xirana :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes I think that's the plan, for Thursday at 1... though Stim may not be back from other travels by then
Xirana Oximoxi: hi Eden and Yaku:)
Eden Haiku: Will try to attend.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey xirana
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) Thank you
Eliza Madrigal: Yaku, nice to see you getting more comfortable looking like Ralph Fiennes... heh
    Xirana Oximoxi: :))
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning bleu
    Bleu Oleander: hi everyone
Eden Haiku: Hi Bleu, nice to see you :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm also writing something about the retreat Eden... think a few of us will and post to the wiki
    Bleu Oleander: welcome back Eliza
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Bleu:)
Eden Haiku: Been working on my Alt of Being project...
    Eliza Madrigal: Thank you :))
    Bleu Oleander: great Eden
    Eden Haiku: Oh wonderful Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: yes I read Pema's session Eden, that was fun!
Eden Haiku: Doing photoshoots with the triplets isn't easy with 2 computers and 3 viewers…It's a good thing they are telepaths, no time for typing!
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sunshine!
Bleu Oleander: amazing Eden .... you're quite talented
    Bleu Oleander: hi Sun
Eden Haiku: Let us take a full minute of silence before we start the Circle of Being.
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi all ;)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Sun:)
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Eden Haiku: Hi Sun
Eden Haiku: A minute in a minute...:) Will Gong the beginning...
Xirana Oximoxi: today the warm of Africa is more needed than ever... there's snow here:)
Eden Haiku: Have you been here before Sun?
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Sunshine Vayandar: sending you some africa ;))
    Xirana Oximoxi: ty:)
    Sunshine Vayandar: yes Eden ;)
Xirana Oximoxi: I can feel it:)
Sunshine Vayandar: yay I am sending continuously
    Xirana Oximoxi: good:)))
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :)
    Eden Haiku: Thanks :)
Eliza Madrigal: we're almost all in our places with bright shiny faces
    Eden Haiku: Hello Zen...
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey zen and sun
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Yaku
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Zen
    Bleu Oleander: hi Zen :)
    Zen Arado: Hi all
Eden Haiku: Maybe we can take a meditation a bit longer, starting now and into the 90 seconds, collecting ourselves. And then we will start sharing in a clockwise manner starting with Bleu, then Yaku, then me, Eliza, Xirana, Sunshine, Zen.
    Zen Arado: that's anti clockwise?
Xirana Oximoxi: and talking about what, please?
Eden Haiku: Maybe we can focus on what we experience right at this moment.
    Xirana Oximoxi: aha ok :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Eden Haiku: Yes, Zen, sorry. Let us start with you instead, then Sunshine, Xirana... better that way :)

    --BELL--

Zen Arado: I should have kept quiet :)
    Eden Haiku: :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: :)

    ZEN

Zen Arado: I am thinking about gender atm
Zen Arado: was trying to write something for the notecard for the Alt as Being Self project
Zen Arado: is gender just something we have - not something we are?
Zen Arado: never thought of that before
Zen Arado: should make one more open to other sex and lose old misogynistic attitudes anyway
    Sunshine Vayandar listens
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Zen Arado: a sports commentator on BBC lost his job this week for making a sexist remark about a female linesman - maybe about time !
    Zen Arado: done

    In between

    Sunshine Vayandar: hmm interesting topic
Sunshine Vayandar: can I post a quote here that came to my mind?
    Eden Haiku: yes
Sunshine Vayandar: "If you seek reality you must set yourself free of all backgrounds, of all cultures, of all patterns of thinking and feeling. Even the idea of being man or woman, or even human, should be discarded. - To be, you must be nobody. Give up all questions except one: 'Who am I'? After all, the only fact you are sure of is that you are. The 'I am' is certain. The 'I am this' is not. Struggle to find out what you are in reality." Sri Nisargadatta
Eliza Madrigal: Wonderful quote Sunshine! Thank you
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Zen Arado: yes !
Sunshine Vayandar: ;) it's in my profile hmm I think of it a lot
    Sunshine Vayandar: my turn?
    Eden Haiku: yes, please :)
Sunshine Vayandar: or shall we talk about it?
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Bruce ;)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Bruce:)
Eden Haiku: continue until you are done. We do a first circle .
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bruce
Eliza Madrigal waves to Bruce and listens...
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, everyone.
    Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce
    Zen Arado: hi Bruce
Sunshine Vayandar: Eden you mean shall I carry on with what i am thinking at the moment?
Eden Haiku: Hi Bruce. please continue Sunshine. Shine on us :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: ok :)

    SUNSHINE

Sunshine Vayandar: Today I met a new SL friend - who sent me a paper - in which he wrote about the "spiritworld" of SL
Sunshine Vayandar: how we never meet the people in RL
Sunshine Vayandar: and I was thinking how this spiritworld exists in RL and SL
Sunshine Vayandar: and what are the differences and similarities
Sunshine Vayandar: also thought about the spiritworld in Africa
Sunshine Vayandar: how the local traditional healers "talk" to the ancestors
    Sunshine Vayandar: and spirits
Sunshine Vayandar: I went to an initiation ceremony of a local traditional healer
Sunshine Vayandar: and there was a looong dance - that carried on for hours
Sunshine Vayandar: and 2 sangomas ( healers ) were dancing at the same time
Sunshine Vayandar: at one point one of them fell on the floor and started speaking
    Sunshine Vayandar: to the ancestors
Sunshine Vayandar: then stood up and continued dancing
Sunshine Vayandar: it was a very special and magical experience
Sunshine Vayandar: the spiritworld in africa
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Sunshine Vayandar: done

    In between

    Eliza Madrigal: ^^
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: I have a picture about this - I give it to you if I find

[She found it: here is a link to this amazing photo: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14280419/san...tothelight.tga]
    Eden Haiku: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you, really nice
Sunshine Vayandar: looking - pls carry on
    Eden Haiku: Xirana?
    Xirana Oximoxi: ok thanks
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)

    --BELL--

    XIRANA

Xirana Oximoxi: when we have begin the round I was thinking about how to put a little order in things I have to do in RL.. just not thinking about I have to do it and never begin to do... but, to put the spirit on it and do something constructive

Bertram Jacobus: hello world ! ;-)
    Bleu Oleander: hi Bert
    Zen Arado: hi Bert
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Bert ã‹¡
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bert

Xirana Oximoxi: after the words of Zen, I've thought about how difficult it is for 'occidental' culture the get free of the misogyny of old thinkers like Aristote, Saint Augustin.. and so on
Xirana Oximoxi: and after the words of Sun, I was thinking that thanks to the words we are sharing.. the distance between SL and RL is not important
    Xirana Oximoxi: done:)

    Eliza Madrigal: :) Ty Xirana
    Xirana Oximoxi: yw:)

    ELIZA

Eliza Madrigal: So now I am considering ritual, dance, and reveling and play...
Eliza Madrigal: Being, not 'being this or that', as I heard someone say ...
    Eliza Madrigal: :) done

    EDEN

    Eden Haiku: Thank you Eliza.
    Eden Haiku: Humm...
Eden Haiku: I have no words for what I feel.
    Eden Haiku: Right now.
    Eden Haiku: Enmeshed into wires.
Eden Haiku: Feeling constrained by the form.
Eden Haiku: Trapped into some linear thinking
Eden Haiku: Even though we move on the curve of a circle
    Eden Haiku: Feeling heavy
Eden Haiku: Wanting to break free
Eden Haiku: Wanting to walk like an Egyptian
    Eden Haiku: Sideways
    Eden Haiku: Done

    YAKUZZA

Yakuzza Lethecus: i think about the expressability of thoughts in words now but don't come far
Yakuzza Lethecus: then rushing to meditation comes to my mind as well since i rushed with my food even tho that the session's don't consist only of meditation
Yakuzza Lethecus: roleplay as big subject in how far we see ourselves in a role we just are but how it might differ in other pp.'s perspectives
Yakuzza Lethecus: and recognizing the buildings and structures more when i drove home from work an hour ago which i usually don't see because i "just drive home"
    Yakuzza Lethecus: done

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: ty Yaku
    Eden Haiku: :)

    BLEU

Bleu Oleander: was thinking that real practice is life itself
Bleu Oleander: any moment in which we are not aware is lost
Bleu Oleander: I have abandoned a part of my life

    --BELL--

Bleu Oleander: "only that day dawns to which we are awake" ... Thoreau ..... we are the species homo sapiens sapiens .... in latin means "to taste" or to "know" .... we are the species that knows and knows that it knows ... living life as if it matters
Bleu Oleander: living life on purpose
    Bleu Oleander: done :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

    BRUCE

Bruce Mowbray: I appreciate so much all of the offerings so far -- they have all been relevant to my own situation today and this weekend.
Bruce Mowbray: On Friday I attended the 96th birthday party of a friend. ..
Bruce Mowbray: over the weekend my dog almost died (but he's fine now)...
    Xirana Oximoxi: awwww
    Eden Haiku: oh:(
Bruce Mowbray: My lady friend called to say her father (91 years old) had fallen and was in the hospital. ..
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;(
Bruce Mowbray: and later today the "homeless man" I have referred to a few times here - will be arriving,
Bruce Mowbray: having driven 320 miles by car --
Bruce Mowbray: and being chased by a severe ice storm the whole way...
Bruce Mowbray: So, I was late today because I really felt a need for the Presence of morning meditation (Peacemaker Institute).
Bruce Mowbray: Again thanks to all who have spoken so far.
Bruce Mowbray: I am seeing it all as perfect - -
Bruce Mowbray: every path as perfect.
Bruce Mowbray: I am putting away my worries about housekeeping and being a decent host.
Bruce Mowbray: This is an opportunity to trust Being. And you have all helped me do that.
    Bruce Mowbray: done.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Xirana Oximoxi: ty:)

    BERTRAM

Bertram Jacobus: so it looks as it is my turn now ...
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Eden Haiku: yes!
Bertram Jacobus: i thought and think here about : sex, language, meditation, love, a friend, buddha, second life ...
Bertram Jacobus: i'm quite unsure whether i'm rude with my thoughts about sex and for sure hope, it's not your impression, but - may be i can explain it all in a way ...
Bertram Jacobus: it's simply, that for example i met here now already some partners and so it's a place for me too where a lot of this as i think big topic happens for me
Bertram Jacobus: but then, as i heard we shall talk about the actual thinking and feeling, i very fast found some other topics too - as written in the beginning :
Bertram Jacobus: the language topic many of you know already from me. but it's getting worse and worse sadly : i don't feel very comfortable with english and fear i can't express many things correctly and so then - it's wrong. sry about that pls
Bertram Jacobus: next : meditation : it plays such a big role to me, also here - ty all
    Bertram Jacobus: next : love
Bertram Jacobus: i find it should be in all of the topics (!)
Bertram Jacobus: once i asked a friend of mine : what would be more important for you : a perfect woman or enlightenment
Bertram Jacobus: he didn't need a second to think : the perfect woman he said
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Bertram Jacobus: he is one of the most experienced meditation practioneers i know
Bertram Jacobus: more and more i think "wow" about that ...
Xirana Oximoxi: hmmm the perfect woman doesn't exist :(
Bertram Jacobus: and then the buddha story : it's told that the last to trys to stop him had been girls and an army ...
Bertram Jacobus: and in sl ... i meet so many nice girls (!) - what leads to the beginning again - (not only for sure!) -
Bertram Jacobus: sry for so much text. done

    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Xirana Oximoxi: :))
Eden Haiku: Thank you all very much. Now opening the floor!!!!

    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, bampd.
    Bertram Jacobus: too late ...
Bruce Mowbray: I told him about the notecard. . . and I gave his three different oni's - -
Bruce Mowbray: so, I'm guessing he will digest his experience for a while and then return.
Eden Haiku: I like "have happier friends". That's is good advice for 21st century![I was listening to the video suggested by Yaku]
Bertram Jacobus: you gave him also a nc bruce ? ;-)
    Eden Haiku: Thank you Yaku!
Eden Haiku: You see a fracture from first hour and second hour of the session Bruce?
Bruce Mowbray: I didn't give him a nc, but I told him to click on the box in the fountain - and he did that.
Eden Haiku: I see onigokko as a bridge between the 2 sides of the brain :)
Bruce Mowbray: I do not see a fracture myself, but I can see how someone who had never been here before might see one.
Eden Haiku: We are now on the other side. The right side. Multileveled...
Eden Haiku: "Widening human empathy". Are we there already? [Still commenting the video ]
Bertram Jacobus: like jim morrison said ? : break on through to the other side ? :-)

"Widening human empathy": a world of fragrances

Eden Haiku: Are you guys following what is happening in Egypt these days?
Sunshine Vayandar: I am not sure about the latest
    buxar Shamen: not really
Eden Haiku: Holding breath with these people hoping for freedom
Eden Haiku: scared at the same time
    Eden Haiku: but so brave
buxar Shamen: the arabs need a bit of a revolution even morethen the europeans
Eden Haiku: Do you live in Africa yourself Sunshine? What is your point of view?
Bertram Jacobus: it was said, its a fire which started in tunesia ! ...
