    Eliza Madrigal: OH :)
Eliza Madrigal: feeling fairly well, thanks
Eliza Madrigal: and you this afternoon?
    Zen Arado: ok
    Zen Arado: a bit headachy
    Eliza Madrigal: :(
    Zen Arado: just a little
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Zen Arado: I have a leaky heart valve they tell me
Eliza Madrigal: What does this mean?
Eliza Madrigal: does it weaken you?
Zen Arado: well I was getting swollen ankles
Zen Arado: went to doctor and she noticed I had a heart murmur
Zen Arado: so heart doesn't pump as well as it should
    Zen Arado: heart
Eliza Madrigal: Is there anything they can do, or just watch this?
Zen Arado: gave me meds and might need operation
    Zen Arado: it's quite common
Eliza Madrigal: yes but for it to affect your ankles/inflammation...
Zen Arado: amazing when you think my heart has been pumping relaibly for 68 years
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: I have an extra beat, supposedly
    Zen Arado: arrhythmia?
Eliza Madrigal nods... can skip sometimes, but mostly when body is working hard during stress or a long time ago, during pregnancy
Eliza Madrigal: What IS a murmur exactly? they can hear it 'lag'?
Zen Arado: eyh..none of us have perfect health I guess
Zen Arado: yeh..they hear something using a stethoscope
Zen Arado: they did an ECG and ultrasound scan
Zen Arado: but my heart has moved a bit in my chest
    Zen Arado: cos of MD
Zen Arado: my chest has sunk in a bit
Eliza Madrigal: ah, so with muscle weakness things can shift around
    Zen Arado: yeh
Eliza Madrigal: good that you take care of yourself and follow up with appts Zen
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey the two of you :)
Zen Arado: cos of sunken chest my windpipe doesn't go straight down either
    Zen Arado: Hi Yaku :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Yaku
Eliza Madrigal: then shouldn't you wear a back belt? may help?
Zen Arado: doc said MD might be affecting my heart but my understanding is that it doesn't with my type of MD
    Zen Arado: black belt?
    Eliza Madrigal: *back... for posture
    Zen Arado: oh back belt
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: so many mysteries... when I was ill I learned how clueless doctors are, haha
Eliza Madrigal: I mean, not willfully
    Zen Arado: yeh
Eliza Madrigal: but we're complex creatures
Zen Arado: not many GP's have seen my type of muscular dystrophy
Zen Arado: it is quite rare
Eliza Madrigal: What makes it different?
Zen Arado: the way it affects the muscles
Eliza Madrigal: you must take good care of yourself Zen, so lively and 68 :))
Zen Arado: the severe form, Duchenne dystrophy kills you in your 20's
Zen Arado: my form is milder
    Eliza Madrigal is glad
    Zen Arado: Hi Sam :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey sam
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: would prefer you not to have it at all but well :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sam :))

    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh

Eliza Madrigal: laughter helps posture too
Zen Arado: you made Sam restless now Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: with a still center
Zen Arado: yes I think so
oO0Oo Resident: I'm sorry I didn't make it in under the wire for Art of Being... just life stuff and waiting too long
oO0Oo Resident: I got part way there
Zen Arado: ok can't be helped
Eliza Madrigal: me too but I asked if I can add something after the fact :)
    oO0Oo Resident: loved Bleu's pics

Zen Arado: I couldn't have made a costume
    Zen Arado: yeh

Zen Arado: one dress in white ..other in black
    oO0Oo Resident: 0's lips are ..... sealed
    Zen Arado: events Dear boy...
Zen Arado: don;t know how PM's dress any more
Zen Arado: they used to be very formal
    Eliza Madrigal: ^.^
Eliza Madrigal: yes I was thinking top hat and fru fru
Zen Arado: they wear suits tho
Zen Arado: top hat is going back a long way ;)
    Zen Arado: 19 century
    Eliza Madrigal: sure why not
Zen Arado: yeh too late for me now
Zen Arado: should have asked you Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: It was fantastic Zen
Eliza Madrigal: and a good idea
Zen Arado: a friend sent my poem to the woman who organizes Darryl Baileys events
Zen Arado: and she was pleased with it and showed it to him
    Eliza Madrigal: wow, nice
Zen Arado: (it ws inspired by his teaching)
Eliza Madrigal: I listened to the link you sent... can see why you were inspired
Zen Arado: he said it was a good summary of his teaching
    Eliza Madrigal: high praise
Zen Arado: wel...he was being kind I suspect
Zen Arado: but nice anyway :)
Eliza Madrigal: you tend to think kind and true are different things =P~
Zen Arado: I bought one of his books
Eliza Madrigal: :::Forces Zen to accept compliments:::::
    Zen Arado: 'Dismantling the Fantasy'
    oO0Oo Resident: hehe
    Zen Arado is unworthy
    Zen Arado: :)
Eliza Madrigal: wow I'm aggressive today... hooks and forcing and preferences
    Eliza Madrigal: @@
    Eliza Madrigal sits on hands
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
    Zen Arado: not agressive
oO0Oo Resident: and *not* unworthy :p
    Eliza Madrigal: :) nods

The precept of refraining from elevating oneself and blaming others:

Zen Arado: ha was reading precept about not elevating oneself
    oO0Oo Resident: sandwiched
Zen Arado: "In the sphere of the equal dharma, not making any distinction between oneself and others is called the precept of refraining from elevating oneself and blaming others.”
    Zen Arado: http://www.tricycle.com/feature/seventh-zen-precept
Zen Arado: it's more about how we elevate ourselves by lowering others tho
Eliza Madrigal: to accept self/other as equal is not necessarily agreeing ... that can be tricky to see
Zen Arado: agreeing with what someone says?
Eliza Madrigal: or at least I find myself struggling a bit there... to be completely available to hear someone, not react
    Zen Arado: or not judge?
Eliza Madrigal: and not be defensive... 'totally open without reservations'
Zen Arado: blame can be from fear
Zen Arado: "In every case of the kind of blame this precept concerns itself with there is condemnation or rejection of something outside that on the inside I actually am or am afraid I might be. "
Zen Arado: isn't that why we close up?
Zen Arado: and thinking...why do I need recognition?
    Zen Arado: or praise?
Eliza Madrigal: misplaced trust perhaps, thinking for myself
Zen Arado: any talents we have are given to us
Zen Arado: we did nothing to earn them
Zen Arado: just exercising them is what is natural
Eliza Madrigal: well there is a whole situation too, isn't there..
Eliza Madrigal: a whole environment of which we have our part
Eliza Madrigal: not to shut down on
Zen Arado: we can enjoy the gifts of others tho
    oO0Oo Resident: mmmm
    Zen Arado: oh yes
Zen Arado: we don't 'hide them under a bushel'

    Eliza's 'little light' :)

Eliza Madrigal: :) 'this little light of mine...'
    Zen Arado: :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Zen Arado: I'm gonna let it shine
Eliza Madrigal: that was the first contemplative moment I remember in my life
Eliza Madrigal: when my Meme sang that to me and I though "what light?' 'oh!'
    Eliza Madrigal: *thought
Zen Arado: remembere the hand movements too :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Aw
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal pictures little Zen holding the bushel over his finger
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
Zen Arado: don't even know what a bushel is
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Zen Arado: 'I love you a bushel and a peck'
Eliza Madrigal: that's a new one to me...
Zen Arado: before your time :)
    oO0Oo Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTebgVrHEVM
Yakuzza Lethecus: *not viewable in germany*
Zen Arado: 'I love you, a bushel and a peck! A bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck! A hug around the neck, and a barrel and a heap A barrel and a heap, and I'm talkin' in my sleep. About you. About you! About you! '
Zen Arado: Doris Day sang it
Zen Arado: from Guys and Dolls
Eliza Madrigal: Nice video... Springsteen! :::stomps in her seat, gospel singers in background::
Eliza Madrigal: I've seen Guys and Dolls... don't remember that... lyrics with people unafraid to be sweet
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Zen Arado: they aren't doing the actions :(
Eliza Madrigal: I must have missed them not doing that
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
Zen Arado: speaking as an ex Sunday School teacher
    Zen Arado: :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: phone call, have to go.... hope to see you all soon again, thanks for the playful morning and music :)
Zen Arado: maybe it was 'He made the stars to shine...He mae the ocean blue...'
    Yakuzza Lethecus: take care eliza
    Zen Arado: bye Eliza
    Zen Arado: TC
Eliza Madrigal: bye for now, _/!\_ ((((((((((((((((( ))))))))))))))))
