SophiaSharon Larnia: nice to meet you too! I assume you've been here before?
Naturespaw Bestijl: Yes, I come by whenever i can :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Korel :)
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Hey Korel :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: great, Naturespaw
    Korel Laloix: osiyo
    Korel Laloix: Wow laggy today.
SophiaSharon Larnia: a bit for me too, but it usually is for me
Korel Laloix: I am at work and we run everything through a proxy, so it can be slow.
Korel Laloix: But it is worse than normal.
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Hmm
    SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
Korel Laloix: But at least I can log on.
SophiaSharon Larnia: googled osiyo, I didnt know what that was, that is a cherokee greeting?
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :)) glad you can
Naturespaw Bestijl: yes, good to have you with us :)
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Hey Bruce!
SophiaSharon Larnia: its snowing, hi Bruce :)
Korel Laloix: Yes... Tsalagi as we prefer.
SophiaSharon Larnia: nice to see you
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Natrespaw, Sophia, Korel!
Korel Laloix: Cherokee is a Cree word that means People that don't speak Cree.
Bruce Mowbray: ty -- Good to see you too!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
SophiaSharon Larnia: I couldnt even use the word casually, would imply I knew how to speak it
Korel Laloix: I just happened to see the snow ball in the air when I had highlight transperanet on, so I clicked it.
Korel Laloix: It is just like saying hello
Korel Laloix: You can say Hau as well.
SophiaSharon Larnia: I wonder how many ways you can say hello
    Korel Laloix: Interesing question.
Naturespaw Bestijl: Hmm... there are a lot of languages..
Naturespaw Bestijl: and even different ways to saying it in each language (re. more formal, more casual)
    Korel Laloix: Very true.
Korel Laloix: I am in and out, sorry.
    Korel Laloix: At work.
SophiaSharon Larnia: no worries, I'm in and out re: attention span
SophiaSharon Larnia: sitting still has gotten a lot harder for me lately
    SophiaSharon Larnia: mentally anyway

    --BELL--

SophiaSharon Larnia: Bruce, is ways of knowing today?
Bruce Mowbray: oh -- sry! I was daydreaming.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: grins
Bruce Mowbray: YES, Ways of Knowing is at the top of the next hour -- in the Cafe.
    Naturespaw Bestijl: In an hour!?
Bruce Mowbray: Do come, if you wish to.
SophiaSharon Larnia: ok was just curious, thank you
Bruce Mowbray: yeppers-- at 2 p.m. slt.
Naturespaw Bestijl: Is that when they usually meet?
    Bruce Mowbray: yes.
    Bruce Mowbray: every week.
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Oh.
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Where's the cafe?
Bruce Mowbray: I will give you an LM for it. . .
SophiaSharon Larnia: its easy to daydream this time of year, ive been doing it frequently, its so beautiful outside with the colorful trees
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Ty^^
    SophiaSharon Larnia: i love fall
Naturespaw Bestijl smiles, great to walk in the fallen leaves too
SophiaSharon Larnia: had an idea the other day i wanted to stop time, to keep it looking just as it was
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes crunch crunch :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Qt :)
Bruce Mowbray: Fall is the most "spiritual" time of year for me - always has been.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: oh?
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Qt.
    Qt Core: Hi all
Bruce Mowbray: yes, something comes over me. . .
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Hey Qt
    SophiaSharon Larnia: interesting Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: How is autumn in Italy, Qt?
Qt Core: rainy in past days, a lot, there were even some death for that
    Bruce Mowbray: oh my.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: oh
Bruce Mowbray: Tough to navigate the Amalphi Drive in the rain. . .
    Bruce Mowbray: sp?
    Qt Core: Amalfi
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Wol
    Bruce Mowbray: ahhh!
    Wol Euler: evening all
Bruce Mowbray: I knew it didnt look rtight.
    Qt Core: Hi Wol
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Wol!
SophiaSharon Larnia: I'm assuming that is abnormal and much higher rainfall than normal, Qt
Qt Core: we always use f, not ph
    Wol Euler: hello fc
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Fc
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Fc!
    Bruce Mowbray: not PhC.
    FcSeeker Resident: hi all
    SophiaSharon Larnia: brb one sec
Qt Core: something more than usual, but we have the habit of put a lot of concrete around rivers and not leave free areas for water to expand if the flow arises
    Wol Euler nods.
FcSeeker Resident: Naturespaw Korel SophiaSharon Bruce Wol
Wol Euler: not just italy, that's worldwide
    FcSeeker Resident: Qt
Bruce Mowbray: it sure it true here, also - - the cause of many down-river floods.
    Qt Core: Hi Fc
    SophiaSharon Larnia: back
    Wol Euler scritches Fc#s ears
    FcSeeker Resident: smiles *
    oO0Oo Resident: 〜waves〜
    oO0Oo Resident: ☻/
    oO0Oo Resident: /▌
    oO0Oo Resident: / \
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi oO0Oo :D
    Wol Euler: hello Samúð
    SophiaSharon Larnia: waves back
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Heyoooo!
    Qt Core: hi oO0Oo
    oO0Oo Resident: .-''''-.,.-''''-.
    oO0Oo Resident: ! ((( * ))) !
    oO0Oo Resident: ". ♥ ."
    oO0Oo Resident: '''-.,.-'''
    Wol Euler: awwwww
    FcSeeker Resident: hello O too
    SophiaSharon Larnia: heh :)
Wol Euler: man, I hope the log captures that corretly :)
Bruce Mowbray: ooooopsss - - - wrong hot key.
    Naturespaw Bestijl laughs
SophiaSharon Larnia: will put it in there Wol (and also know Im behind on my log posting)
Wol Euler: no worries about that
Wol Euler: I posted a few of the really old ones
Qt Core: was there a topic before the new arrivals ?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ohh
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, 0!
SophiaSharon Larnia: thank you, if mine was one
    SophiaSharon Larnia: not really QT
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe about fall being a spiritual time of year? I was curious about your statement Bruce :)

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: Well, there's just a feeling I get every fall.
Bruce Mowbray: a mix of sadness, warmth, becoming softer, more receptive. . .
    Wol Euler nods.
    Bruce Mowbray: contemplative . .
Bruce Mowbray: Do others experience this?
    Wol Euler: mmhmm :)
Wol Euler: I love all seasons, but fall is my most loved
SophiaSharon Larnia: i do, in what I call the transition seasons, Ive wondered if it had to do with the change in light, in the spring, more energetic
Bruce Mowbray: oh yes, me too.
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods at Wol "me too "
    Wol Euler smiles.
SophiaSharon Larnia: loves fall colors and clothing, vainly speaking
Bruce Mowbray: I thought it might have something to do with my birthday being in the fall -- a sort of double transitional time.
SophiaSharon Larnia: aww happy birthday :D
FcSeeker Resident: loves all colors of fall and weather getting brighter...
Wol Euler: and it's for exactly this feeling of ... slowing, retreating/retrenching, coming to fruition
Bruce Mowbray: It was a few weeks ago, but thanks anyway!
SophiaSharon Larnia: brighter Fc :) yay for you
    Wol Euler: happy missed-your-.birthday
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Happy Belated!
    Bruce Mowbray loves "brighter."
FcSeeker Resident: Happy Birthday anyway Bruce
SophiaSharon Larnia: actually, its the hot spiced wine too
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Wol Euler grins.
FcSeeker Resident: ah yes; after hot summer the fall brings brightness ...
Bruce Mowbray: TY! I missed everyone else's too!
SophiaSharon Larnia: but I can definately relate, Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: so the air is actually clearer.
FcSeeker Resident: and waiting for winter to put the whole year under the cover of snow...time that nature rests...
    Bruce Mowbray: Mmmmm.
Bruce Mowbray wishes he could hibernate.
oO0Oo Resident: Bountiful harvests, stores for Winter, slowing of sap, lessening of light... poignant and clear skies, colours changing... yes a kind of tender sadness there...
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: and the mists, at least in central europe
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm
Qt Core: and winter smog too!
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Bruce Mowbray: we saw Northern Lights this week - - and they were seen as far south as Atlanta!
    Wol Euler: !
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wow
    Naturespaw Bestijl: beutiful!
    Bruce Mowbray: VERY unusual.
FcSeeker Resident: my father said that one should always understand to leave when all is the most beautiful....
Wol Euler: was that perhaps because of the threatened solar storms?
    FcSeeker Resident: meaning visits
Bruce Mowbray: I suppose so, Wol.
    Wol Euler nods.
Bruce Mowbray: By "leave" did he your father mean "die"? Fac?
FcSeeker Resident: ...he loved fall the most for it's beauty he said....
    Bruce Mowbray: Fc*
FcSeeker Resident: he sure spoke about visitings
FcSeeker Resident: but yes...he died on fall ...
Bruce Mowbray: so did my father, Fc.
Wol Euler: he took his own advice, then
Bruce Mowbray: maybe that's partly why fall is sad - - -
FcSeeker Resident: just thought that my sadness could come through my lines even I didn feel sadness...but as this
sadness sure still is in my heart...
Bruce Mowbray: but so many other things are making their transition, also.
    Bruce Mowbray: like crickets.
    FcSeeker Resident: loves crickets :))))
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
oO0Oo Resident: The principle you mention Fc, reminds me of the admonition to not go to bed angry with ones
partner... to have peace and love before sleep.
Bruce Mowbray: The voice of the last cricket across the first frost is one kind of good-by. It is so thin a splinter of
    singing.
    Bruce Mowbray: -
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    FcSeeker Resident: but then can also 'sing';
Bruce Mowbray: "Splinter" by Carl Sandburg
Qt Core: there was a story about a couple on a local newspaper around here living with that principle... he is 101 and she is 97, married for 70 years
FcSeeker Resident: it is fall now, but it shall be the spring again....
    Bruce Mowbray: wow!
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wow Qt
    Wol Euler: wow :)
FcSeeker Resident: that would be good way even if alone; not go to sleep with anger
SophiaSharon Larnia: i love it when they ask how did they make it to that age, the answers
    SophiaSharon Larnia: nods at Fc
    FcSeeker Resident: <3<3<3
Qt Core: funny enough, when i'm angry and don't know how to cope with it, if i can i go to sleep ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I understand, Qt, sometimes the time and space can cool ya down enough to think clearer
Qt Core: they spoke about respect and forgiving
oO0Oo Resident: Amazing what a good nap can do :)

    --BELL--

Korel Laloix: Back in a bit.
    Wol Euler: bb
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Korel
SophiaSharon Larnia: anger can make you very tired. At least it does me.
SophiaSharon Larnia: enough for me to want to avoid it
FcSeeker Resident: it sure drains everybody no matter if one notice it or not...
    Wol Euler nods.
Bruce Mowbray: anger almost always involves physical tension - - and that's tiring. . .
Bruce Mowbray: better to let it out - - in a safe setting. . .
Naturespaw Bestijl: One amazing thing about animals, is their ability to seemingly forgive
Naturespaw Bestijl: they don't hold grudges.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: that is amazing
Qt Core: usually is a waste of time and energy
FcSeeker Resident: I had a cat once who didn't forgive me that I started to go out of home much more than before...
Wol Euler: "holding a grudge is like letting somebody you hate live rent-free in your head"
SophiaSharon Larnia: and why do I feel a loss right now, that the ability of an animal to forgive easily is felt to be lost in myself :)
Bruce Mowbray: yes, cats are less forgiving than dogd, I feel.
    Bruce Mowbray: dogs*
    Bruce Mowbray: great saying, Wol!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ha and true
Wol Euler smiles. Not original, but I can't remember who coined it
Naturespaw Bestijl: I wonder if anger is truly an instinctual thing
Bruce Mowbray: I wish I were as good a person as my dog thinks I am.
Naturespaw Bestijl: or man-made? Children are wonderful at well.. being angry one moment, and ok the next
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
    Wol Euler: :)
FcSeeker Resident: anger is the baby of sorrows which one has not time to cry out
    Wol Euler: huh
FcSeeker Resident: has not had time
Bruce Mowbray: Wow, Fc. . . My mom used to say that we get colds because we have not yet cried enough to get the bad stuff out of us.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Boxy
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Boxy!
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
    Qt Core: Hi Alfred
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Hey Boxy
FcSeeker Resident: your mother seems to been very wise women
    Wol Euler: boxy!
    Alfred Kelberry: woly girl :)
    FcSeeker Resident: hi boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: neko kitty :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: grins
Alfred Kelberry: qt! long time no see
Alfred Kelberry: oh, woly! no hooves! :)
Bruce Mowbray will go to make RL coffee now.
Wol Euler: yep :) fully human today
    Alfred Kelberry: cool :)
    Alfred Kelberry: me likes
Qt Core: wondering if on a somewhat biological level anger is the equivalent of fear when there is no danger but
something to act on, like a degeneration of determination ?
    Alfred Kelberry: *notes snow... beautiful*
SophiaSharon Larnia: on a neuron level, or chemical level of adreneline?
SophiaSharon Larnia: makes sense i guess
    Alfred Kelberry: qt, interesting
    Naturespaw Bestijl: Hmm..
Naturespaw Bestijl: The neutrotransmitter for flight/fight is similar..
SophiaSharon Larnia: sometimes i think your body just gets used to it
Alfred Kelberry: "naturespaw" - cute name :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: like with anxiety
    Naturespaw Bestijl: ty boxy^^
Bruce Mowbray: anger can alos be a habit that the whole organism learns. . . especially when it brings effective results.
FcSeeker Resident: well..all thoughts are energy and they create what they are...what those energies create in human body...
    Bruce Mowbray: also*
Alfred Kelberry: bruce, ah true. nurtured anger.
SophiaSharon Larnia: sees all 3 ideas just listed as all related
Wol Euler: thesis: anger is what happens when the world doesn't conform to our expectations
Bruce Mowbray: and if it can be learned, then it can be unlearned.
    Alfred Kelberry: *nods to woly*
FcSeeker Resident: love that word specially; unlearn
SophiaSharon Larnia: ive been giving the formula for that, but its really hard!!!
    Alfred Kelberry: *pats her back*
Naturespaw Bestijl chuckles, was in a fun seminar once, where they had us playing around with bad memories
Naturespaw Bestijl: and making them funny
Qt Core: i have to go somewhere else, bye all
    SophiaSharon Larnia: huh
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Qt!
    Naturespaw Bestijl: take care Qt
Wol Euler: bye qt, take care
Bruce Mowbray: I'll be TPing over to the Cafe in a minute or so - - You're all welcome to join us at Ways of Knowing, if you wish.
    FcSeeker Resident: waves
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ty Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: bye, Qt.
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Qt :)
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, wok
Wol Euler: not tonight, too tired :(
Alfred Kelberry: the week has passed so quickly
    Alfred Kelberry: *pokes woly* aww
    Bruce Mowbray: It has indeed.
SophiaSharon Larnia: wasnt WoK on a Tuesday at one point?
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks for a great chat, everyone.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: waves
    FcSeeker Resident: waves to Bruce
    oO0Oo Resident: Thanks Bruce !
Wol Euler: bye bruce, take care
    Wol Euler: wok well
    Naturespaw Bestijl: bye brue
    Wol Euler: grok at wok
    Naturespaw Bestijl: *bruce
Naturespaw Bestijl: you guys going to ways of knowing?
    Wol Euler shakes her head.

    --BELL--

SophiaSharon Larnia: not I, I need to go :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: bye everyone, take care :D
    Naturespaw Bestijl: thanks Sophia
    Naturespaw Bestijl: take care
Alfred Kelberry: why do we need to throw things when in anger?
Wol Euler: displacement, we throw things instead of hitting
FcSeeker Resident: who is that 'we' ?
Alfred Kelberry: it somehow calms down
    Alfred Kelberry: woly, hmm
Naturespaw Bestijl: so it's a learned angry --> throw --> feel better scenario
    Wol Euler: IMHO YMMV
    Alfred Kelberry: hitting may hurt
    Wol Euler: indeed
Wol Euler: that's why one doesn't do it
    SophiaSharon Larnia: waves
    Alfred Kelberry: ah
Alfred Kelberry: but why in the first place?
Naturespaw Bestijl: going to check out the cafe. Thanks for a great talk all
    Wol Euler: bye nate
Alfred Kelberry: let's call it an outward meditation :)
    Alfred Kelberry: throw a book
Wol Euler: read a sentence as it flashes past you
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye N'paw
Alfred Kelberry: woly, let's go to wok
    Alfred Kelberry: *purrs*
    Wol Euler: no, too tired.
    Wol Euler: you go
Alfred Kelberry: you can doze off on a comfy chair in the cafe :)
Alfred Kelberry: your presence will enrich the setting
    Wol Euler: heh
    oO0Oo Resident: Ways od Dozing?
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Wol Euler: yeah
    Alfred Kelberry: sam :)
    oO0Oo Resident: of*
Alfred Kelberry: could be a topic, sam :)
    oO0Oo Resident: hehe
Alfred Kelberry: ok, i'll go in a min
FcSeeker Resident: have good night Wol
Wol Euler fondles fc's ears in gentle farewell
oO0Oo Resident reaches, but can't quite click Box's nose... but sends a hug anyway
    oO0Oo Resident: tc Fc
FcSeeker Resident: you O and boxy shall come to WoK ?
    FcSeeker Resident: if not
oO0Oo Resident: I have no way of knowing fc
FcSeeker Resident: wish you also good time what ever time of day you have :)
    Wol Euler: heheheh
    oO0Oo Resident: ty Panda
    Wol Euler: goodngiht, take care
    oO0Oo Resident: Night Wol
    oO0Oo Resident: Rest well
    Alfred Kelberry: sam?
    Alfred Kelberry: you coming?
    Alfred Kelberry: wuff!
oO0Oo Resident: :))) maybe in a little while Boxy... thanks
