iwandertoo Resident: and listening to others lives

SophiaSharon Larnia: i think one of the hardest things for me

Aphrodite Macbain: I trust that people who are they say they are
Alfred Kelberry: i'd like more context please, aph :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: that someone wont cause harm, maybe
Aphrodite Macbain: Perhaps something to do with its opposite- mistrust

Zon Kwan: hm..trust and ecpectation are different
Aphrodite Macbain: yes. true Zon
Aphrodite Macbain: should we say someone is untrustworthy because they don't meet our expectations?
SophiaSharon Larnia: i wouldnt
Zon Kwan: i cant trust even though i know someone is lying
Aphrodite Macbain: what would you be trusting then Zon?
Zon Kwan: trust is an inner attitude
Zon Kwan: it doesnt depend on the othere
Alfred Kelberry: i think we trust no one inherently
Aphrodite Macbain: You mean it is a state rather than an expecation?
Zon Kwan: yes
Zon Kwan: trust is an attitude
Zon Kwan: towards life
iwandertoo Resident: I think u can trust others to be exactly as they are
Aphrodite Macbain: I trust most people but not everyone
Zon Kwan: if i want you to be honest to me,,its an expectation

Zon Kwan: one can never know what the other will do tomorrow, as he doesnt necessarily know himself, things change, its an expectation
Zon Kwan: or today
Aphrodite Macbain: But if one trusts blindly, one could be setting oneself up for disappointment or worse

Aphrodite Macbain: or con women

Alfred Kelberry: generally, people expect us to behave in a consistent manner. unless inconsistency (eccentric personality) is a norm.

Zon Kwan: thats an expectation..ivf you espect you will always be dissapointed
Aphrodite Macbain: Mmmm. What could be seen as consistent in one culture could be seen as weird in another
iwandertoo Resident: if one is deceptive, one should not be trusted. that trust needs to be earned back
Aphrodite Macbain: I agree Susan
Zon Kwan: one can only trust ones own inner voice
Aphrodite Macbain: But I usually begin by trusting someone until I am proved wrong
Alfred Kelberry: aph, weird or not - consistency is what expected :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Hmmm-I'm not sure if I can trust that inner voice. It's be wrong many times

Aphrodite Macbain: One of the characteristics of a good friend is that they are trustowrthy, they dont deeive, they dont lie, they dont betray

Zon Kwan: politician wants to be in power
Aphrodite Macbain: We can chose to be gullible and trusting, or we can chose to question and look more deeply
Wol Euler: are you "deceived" when you are lied to by somebody whom you expect to lie to you?
Zon Kwan: sif you speak truth you ownt stay in power

Aphrodite Macbain: we have become so cynical
Alfred Kelberry: woly, it's an expected behavior, so it's a norm, woly. we talked about that :)

Aphrodite Macbain: because people decieve so often it has become the norm
