The Guardian for this meeting was Bruce Mowbray - substituting for Eliza (on her way to the RL retreat in New Orleans). The comments are by Bruce Mowbray.

Bleu Oleander: ok Bruce, it's yours
    Bruce Mowbray: Got it!
    Vector Marksman: good bye... thanks

    Freud Jungsten: ciao
    Zen Arado: bye Darren
    Bleu Oleander: I tried :)
    Bleu Oleander: bye all
    Fefonz Quan: Bye Bleu
Bruce Mowbray: 'Good day' to all who are leaving, and 'hello' to all who are arriving.
Bruce Mowbray: Did any of that make sense to you, Freud?
Freud Jungsten: I needed more context.... so sorta.
Bruce Mowbray: I'm asking because that past hour was one of our regular  "Time Sessions" -- a review of several chapters. . .
Freud Jungsten: Talking about literal mirrors?

Bruce Mowbray:  Yes, both literal and metaphoric "mirrors."  We were sort of focusing on the exercise of "letting ourselves be seen."
Zen Arado: a friend sent me a great explanation of the wave analogy of self
    Zen Arado: http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?llr=fqzlw9cab&v=001O3CKqe2sPwzb4yz6klGk0azp3vM6ZygRLU0KPCgEePfAgH3It1EAYLaHDWHQy-foNx5L8yhKyR0EXEaj1ksFPH6BzD7clnaGgyuvKRBnTtg9qUkOcv6NPNg4HRskjJLGz_UMQSU7_gH7IrtCrsCqnhg10VoMDFfe26gJyqVPYlu0nfwC8LfyIw%3D%3D
Zen Arado: if you care to scroll down
    Zen Arado: I think anyway
Bruce Mowbray: and Zen (I think it was Zen) suggested that we look into a mirror. . .
Bruce Mowbray: and it went from there.
    Zen Arado: it was Fef
    Tallin Dezno: hi everybody
    Zen Arado: Hi Tallin
Bruce Mowbray: Oh yes, Fef. . . (sorry Fef and Zen).
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Tallin. Welcome back.
    Tallin Dezno: ty !
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Tallin
Tallin Dezno: hey alf, alfi, boxy ! ;-)

Bruce Mowbray: very pretty little boxes, Boxy!

Freud Jungsten: I will have to give it a read..... the author sounds very full of himself at first glance.
    Freud Jungsten: Thank you.
Alfred Kelberry: bruce, thank you :)
Zen Arado: yes - I am wary of non dualist stuff
    Zen Arado: nice boxy
Alfred Kelberry: ah, it's called pentatonic scale
Tallin Dezno: i got also an instrument, but with even 7 notes, very nice with sound ! *giggle* : http://www.cupsizechoir.com/?k=1

    Alfred Kelberry: collective flute :)
    Tallin Dezno: ty ! ...
Bruce Mowbray remembers the musical notes played in Close Encounters of the Third Kind -- to communicate with extra-terrestrials.
    Alfred Kelberry: kit ciaco
    Tallin Dezno: hehe bruce ...
Alfred Kelberry: she makes flutes both in sl and rl
Bruce Mowbray: so simple and calming. . .
    Alfred Kelberry: yes... very
Freud Jungsten: Not that I would want to see it, but is there a guy version.... smiles
Tallin Dezno: but why are they double ?
Alfred Kelberry: um, not sure... you should ask kit :)
    Alfred Kelberry: Freud, guy version?
Tallin Dezno: lol Freud. i don´t know - may be you had to search it in the net ? ... :-)
Freud Jungsten: Would want to pass that on to my sis-in-law.

Tallin Dezno: bye fef ! ...
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Fef.
    Alfred Kelberry: fef :)
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks to you all.
Alfred Kelberry: it's tricky to align them properly...
Bruce Mowbray empathizes with Boxy on that.
Tallin Dezno: much is too fast for me ...
Bruce Mowbray: Since there are only three of us here now, we can slow everything down - if you wish.
Alfred Kelberry: you mean the tune, tal?
Tallin Dezno: i love slowing down nearly always I guess - ty for the nice idea bruce ! :-) ...
Tallin Dezno: tune ? what does that mean pls ?
Alfred Kelberry: tal, you'd like one of my shirts that says: go slow :)
    Alfred Kelberry: the flute
    Alfred Kelberry: that's been playing
Bruce Mowbray: "Tune" means the songs folks were playing on Boxy's flutes.
Tallin Dezno: no ty. no shirt. nur tyvm !
Tallin Dezno: and no : i meant everything ;-)  the modern rhythm of things so to say ... ;-)
Tallin Dezno: people's rushes and such ...
Bruce Mowbray much appreciates a slower pace to everything . . .
Alfred Kelberry: now i resemble a bot even more with all the lights :)
Tallin Dezno: yes ! ty for understanding and helping me to express bruce !
Tallin Dezno: Moon plays such sounds on one form of his meditation sessions he gives ...
    Tallin Dezno: really nice ...
Bruce Mowbray: I would like to find Moon's meditation group(s) -- can you help me find it/them?
Tallin Dezno: sry - i couldn't hear it before ...
    Tallin Dezno: i hadn't sound on ...

    --BELL--

Tallin Dezno: sure Bruce - would be most helpful if you join his group, then you get all notices, can visit the lm's , read the time schedule ...
    Bruce Mowbray: So, beautiful.
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I looked for Moon's group in your profile, , , didn't see it there.  sry.

Tallin Dezno: but sry : tallin hasn´t that group. but another way would be : go from Moon Fargis profile to the pic hikari and tp there. i remember that you can join there the group
Tallin Dezno: Tallin Dezno: if not, Bertram can help when he's on next time. hope that is ok so far ?
Bruce Mowbray: OK. I will try TP-ing to Hikari after this session -- I will find it, I'm sure.
    Tallin Dezno: great ! :-)
Tallin Dezno: i also like his sims and activities ! ...
Tallin Dezno: there is a lot of interesting stuff ... and always developing ...
Bruce Mowbray: cool! Thanks for the heads-up on that.
Alfred Kelberry: heh, can't play while I sit :)
Tallin Dezno: mostly I appreciate his free-form meditations at the cherry tree zendo. that's a wonderful outdoor place
Bruce Mowbray: Would there be some way you could slip me the LM, Tallin?
Alfred Kelberry: ah, I'd love having a PaB session under a cherry tree one day :)
Bruce Mowbray: yes, Boxy, that would be nice.
Tallin Dezno: which is not so fitting to me, are some amida or amithaba services which are be done of a quite new group of the pure land (Chinese) Buddhism group ...
    Alfred Kelberry: sit on grass
Alfred Kelberry: smell flowers from the garden
Alfred Kelberry: hear little koi pond water stream
Bruce Mowbray: agrees with Tal - - I prefer quite an independent and free-form of meditative practice.
Tallin Dezno: ah. yes. but only from cherry tree zendo. and that's not the main landing point
    Bruce Mowbray: ok.
Bruce Mowbray: I sit each morning for 20 minutes at the Soul's Journey meditation place. . .
Bruce Mowbray: we are totally free-form.
Tallin Dezno: sounds very nice ...
Bruce Mowbray: 20 minutes every morning at 7 a.m. SLT.
Bruce Mowbray: I can give you the LM, if you want it.
    Tallin Dezno: ty bruce
Bruce Mowbray: yw. We arrive at 7 a.m. SLT and sit for 20 minutes - then leave. A fine way to begin the day.
Tallin Dezno: but it´s the same time as here ?
Bruce Mowbray: (Yes. That's why I usually arrive here 20 minutes late every day!)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Tallin Dezno: ah okay ! :-)
Bruce Mowbray: Sartre/Yaku knows how to be in two sims at once. . .
Bruce Mowbray: but I don't know how to do that yet. . .
Tallin Dezno: we can call ourselves "lucky" because we have so many spiritual offers nowadays (!) ...
    Bruce Mowbray: fortunate, indeed.
Tallin Dezno: viewer 2 doesn´t allow that but the phoenix viewer bruce. with two avatars
Bruce Mowbray: yes, I rarely fire up my Phoenix, though.
    Tallin Dezno: i see ...
Bruce Mowbray: Did you guys know that there is a RL PaB retreat this weekend in New Orleans, USA?
Tallin Dezno: i didn't follow the dates so much, therefore I did not know, sry ... but we all may know, that there are four retreats every year now ... (?)
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes, 4 retreats.
Tallin Dezno: if I was a rich man I would have attended there ! ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: 2 in the Western Hemisphere and 2 in the Europe area.
Bruce Mowbray: I am quite shy, still, about letting myself be seen in the RL --- by RL Pabbers, I mean.

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: I don't know why that is, though. . . Perhaps I am trying to protect some "image" I've created of myself.
Tallin Dezno: hmmm - I'm such another "type" : have no contact shyness at all (!) - but many have that ... hm ... and i think, you already showed for example first life pictures and such Bruce and above that, all would appreciate every form of participation from you. I'm sure, bruce
Bruce Mowbray:  TY for that, Tal.  Yes, I have a RL photo of myself in my profile. . . and some details about where I live, etc.
Tallin Dezno: PaB lives through our participation, through the participation of everybody
Bruce Mowbray: excellent point. . .
Tallin Dezno: but there is no pressure I feel
Bruce Mowbray: I am still pondering the possibility of attending the Nova Scotia retreat this summer. . .
Bruce Mowbray: but don't know if I can afford to go to it.
Tallin Dezno: but we can feel free to take part in every way we like, also more or less, all "allowed" - and the Pabbers are nice people ... that's part of our philosophy i would guess, at least aiming to that ...
Tallin Dezno: yes. not for everybody it´s so easy, but the meetings always are a really good experience I can tell
Bruce Mowbray: I would REALLY like to meet the Pabbers in RL. . . . It's just that I'm a bit self-conscious about their meeting ME. . . !   And how ridiculous is that!!!
Tallin Dezno: it´s a question of money and time and may be also that psychological aspects ...
Bruce Mowbray: I do participate in the SL retreats, though. . .
Bruce Mowbray: and will be helping coordinate another SL retreat in February.
Tallin Dezno: yes. and i have no doubt : also such a first life retreat would be a very nice experience, always !
Tallin Dezno: also Piet is a really big help always i feel there ...
Tallin Dezno: great - so many activities ! and such a nice freedom ! :-)
Bruce Mowbray: and I LOVE the Halifax, Nova Scotia area, too.
Tallin Dezno: yes ! that is another great aspect of those retreats. i find that too : often or more mostly in really attractive areas ! :-)
Bruce Mowbray: It will be held during the hottest part of the summer (in Ohio) so it would be a nice break from the heat, too.
Tallin Dezno: "coool" , in a double meaning :o)
    Bruce Mowbray: yes!
Tallin Dezno: okay - I'll take some time off now again from here - will log off a bit, look forward seeing you again and best wishes to all ! ...
Bruce Mowbray: OK -- THANKS for being here today, Tal.
Bruce Mowbray: Enjoy the rest of your day.
Tallin Dezno: same same bruce ! :-) *bye wave*
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye!
Bruce Mowbray: Well, Boxy -- I have a chat log to edit.
Bruce Mowbray: Are you ready to bring an end to this session?
Bruce Mowbray: ooops. I see now that Boxy is "away" -
Bruce Mowbray: so Bruce shall also be "away."
Bruce Mowbray: May all be happy and safe.
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now.
