Arisia Vita: Hi Yak and Scath
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hiya everyone
    Stim Morane: Hi Yakuzza
Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Stim, Yakuzza, Ari
    Stim Morane: Hi Scathach
Scathach Rhiadra: so, how is everyone today?
Stim Morane: well enough ... and you?
    Scathach Rhiadra: fine ty:)
Scathach Rhiadra: have you recovered from all the travelling?
    Stim Morane: We'll see
    Stim Morane: :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
    Arisia Vita: Hi Qt
    Qt Core: Hi all
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Qt
    Stim Morane: Hi Qt

    Arisia Vita: Hi Arch
    Qt Core: hi arch, calvino
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Arch
    Arisia Vita: Hi Cal
    Archmage Atlantis: Greetings all
    Stim Morane: Hi Calvino, Arch
    Calvino Rabeni: Stim, hello
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Calvino
Calvino Rabeni: And arch, and everyone
    Stim Morane: Brb
    Arisia Vita: Hi Wol!
    Wol Euler: hello everyone
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Wol:)
    Qt Core: hi WOl
    Archmage Atlantis: Hello Wol
    Stim Morane: Back, hi Wol
Wol Euler: lookin' good, Stim, nice new image.
    Archmage Atlantis: +
Stim Morane: Some very generous person helped me with it
    Wol Euler grins
Archmage Atlantis: I always forget the pleasantries at the beginning of any group meeting
    Zon Quar: hi all
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Zon, Vendy
Wol Euler: hello zon, vendy, ss
    Stim Morane: Wi Vendy, Zon
Vendy Walpole: so sorry for the landing on you
    Vendy Walpole: Hello all
    Arisia Vita: np
Archmage Atlantis: So, I attended another group where the topic was are we entering a new dark ages
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi everyone :) (sorry lag) :)
Wol Euler: what was the consensus?
    Zon Quar: are we ?
Archmage Atlantis: I think it is our choice, I do not know if there was consensus
Archmage Atlantis: Ever since I came home from the hospital, my cat has been refusing to let me get more than 5 feet away from him
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Conversations here are recorded when ON AIR. Please see http://playasbeing.wik.is/
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Please observe 90 seconds of silence.
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Thank you.
Wol Euler: he must have been worried, missing you.
Archmage Atlantis: I am certain that is true, and as his care is my responsibilty, I understand
Archmage Atlantis: Yet we are to care for all life on this planet, in my opinion
SophiaSharon Larnia: am I missing text, or are we all extraordinarily quiet today?
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
    Wol Euler grins and nods
Vendy Walpole: I must say this is an unusual but interesting experience for me
Vendy Walpole: sitting with many people in silence
Wol Euler: how do you find it? is it relaxing or rather worrying?
SophiaSharon Larnia: how many of us are really sitting quietly, in real life :)
Arisia Vita: It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than
to open it and remove all doubt. - Mark Twain
    Stim Morane: :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: grins at Ari
Vendy Walpole: let me sort it ...I felt worried first
Vendy Walpole: then found it like a sort of new experience, new way to see the things
Vendy Walpole: and told me- why not!?
    Wol Euler smiles. Good.
Vendy Walpole: definitely a new approach, and there could be so many
Stim Morane: we can talk about the 9-sec practice instead, if some of you wish.
Archmage Atlantis: That is a good thought Stim, please do
Stim Morane: OK ... the main thing re that practice is to do it.
    Stim Morane: How's that going?
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
Stim Morane: Difficult, strange, dull, confusing ...?
Wol Euler: someone recently suggested a new time for doing it, between being interrupted and getting back into work.
SophiaSharon Larnia: difficult at times, not confusing lately, i haven't figured if thats a good or bad thing :)
    Stim Morane: the interstices, Wol?
    Calvino Rabeni: yes
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Conversations here are recorded when ON AIR. Please see http://playasbeing.wik.is/
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Please observe 90 seconds of silence.
Wol Euler: exactly. Taking advantage of a naturally occuring break
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Thank you.
Stim Morane: Recognizing gaps in our busy-ness can help us learn to recognize gaps in our run-on mind
Qt Core: that is useful when the 15 min scheduled break would do just that, breaks concentration continuity and you can't afford that
Stim Morane: and sophia-sharon, difficult means what, for you?
    Stim Morane: interesting pt, Qt
SophiaSharon Larnia: dropping what is going on in my mind at the time
    Stim Morane: there's resistance?
    Stim Morane: momentum?
SophiaSharon Larnia: sometimes, the sense that 'i have things to do', the momentum, you could say
Qt Core: i often got interrupted by "standard" interruptions, another one every 15 min would be disruptive of work/work concentration
Stim Morane: yes ... what do you see as the solution, Qt?
Zen Arado: Hi all no need to reply
    Zon Quar: lol
Qt Core: doing the 9sec practice or something like that after said "standard" interruptions, it even help to regain focus on your task, as usually the interrutions add stress
Stim Morane: yes, Sophia, that kind of momentum is hard to shed.
    Wol Euler nods to QT
Stim Morane: one way to shed it (the momentum of a pressing task) is to take the task at hand more appreciatively, make IT be the 9-sec break
Calvino Rabeni: I find that works, and is pleasant
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Stim Morane: it can be
Qt Core: once regained a full concentration, maybe
    Stim Morane: yes
Vendy Walpole: When I practice 9seconds, it helps me sometimes, to realize that my problem is not so huge as I had thought and I can see the world again that had been hidden by the "huge problem"
Calvino Rabeni: but appreciating the object is a big part of it for me
Stim Morane: "drop" doesn't have to mean "cease" ... it can just mean "hold in a new way"
    Stim Morane: yes, Vendy
Zon Quar: nods to Vendy..gives perspective
Zen Arado: can't you use problem situations as a trigger to 'look inside'?
    Vendy Walpole: Yes, distance helps
Calvino Rabeni: I mean, "one's concentration" doesn't have to be hald as the problem.
    Calvino Rabeni: held
Stim Morane: sure, why not, Zen?
Vendy Walpole: I do use them Zen
Zen Arado: I concentrate on the feeling itself
Vendy Walpole: but I look outside also
Zen Arado: if I get hurt or angry
Calvino Rabeni: or on the thing itself, as a kind of gift?
Zen Arado: yes it shows us where we are stuck
Zen Arado: what we need to open to, to work on
Calvino Rabeni: can paradoxically be more intimate as well as distanced
    Zen Arado: IMO :)
Stim Morane: what has become familiar about the 9-sec practice? What is new? Any comments?
Calvino Rabeni: familiar: shifts in the felt sense
Vendy Walpole: being returned to now, here, is rather familiar
    Stim Morane: uh huh
Stim Morane: and "new"? Do you feel a strangeness, sometimes?
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Conversations here are recorded when ON AIR. Please see http://playasbeing.wik.is/
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Please observe 90 seconds of silence.
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Thank you.
    Stim Morane: :)
Stim Morane: For instance, a sense of "I'm not 'me' ", "I'm not sure who I am" ...
Calvino Rabeni: the strangeness theme is alluring
    Stim Morane: )
Calvino Rabeni: ther is a kind of eros in it
Stim Morane: well, I'm not recommending it, just asking ...
Stim Morane: but yes, I see what you mean, Calvino
    Stim Morane: it's "new territory"
Calvino Rabeni: a kind of adventure
    Stim Morane: yes
Calvino Rabeni: that stimulates a bit of creativity and energy
    Vendy Walpole: yes
Vendy Walpole: and peace at the same time
    Calvino Rabeni: mmhmm
    Vendy Walpole: no?
Vendy Walpole: I do feel peace
    Calvino Rabeni: yes\
    Stim Morane: :)
    Vendy Walpole: :)
    Calvino Rabeni: :)
Vendy Walpole: The strage and new for me is being aware how much we all are connected in fact
    Vendy Walpole: strange*
    Stim Morane: great
Vendy Walpole: do you have the same feeling?
Stim Morane: yes, love it ... it
    Wol Euler nods
    Zon Quar: all the time..
Calvino Rabeni: As do I, V.
    Vendy Walpole: nice
Stim Morane: it's the basis for happiness and true sharing
    Vendy Walpole: yes
Calvino Rabeni: I believe we can trust it
Zon Quar: trust makes it happen
    Calvino Rabeni: yes
Calvino Rabeni: the word "faith", laden as it is, may point to that also
Calvino Rabeni: But if the word disturbs, forget it
Zon Quar: trust is better to me
Zon Quar: faith is too near belief
Zon Quar: but it all depends on definitions,,,,,
Calvino Rabeni: sure, I think, the important thing is the experience, to keep it in mind
Calvino Rabeni: You can remember it without needing a word as a label
Calvino Rabeni: Don't mean to sound preachy. This is my experience
    Stim Morane: sure
    Zon Quar: nods
Calvino Rabeni: It really helped me to create nonverbal "words" I could use for myself
Calvino Rabeni: ZBecause the experience otherwise is ephemeral
Calvino Rabeni: IN that it is hard to retain
Zon Quar: thats good..non verbal word...good
SophiaSharon Larnia: interesting, if theyre not words than what are they?
    Zon Quar: connections
SophiaSharon Larnia: can you say more?
Calvino Rabeni: they function as words
Calvino Rabeni: but don't live in that place in the mind
    Vendy Walpole: links :)
    Zon Quar: like in NLP
Calvino Rabeni: V, you wnt a link about that?
Qt Core: maybe ideas, bigger but faster than words, calvino
Zon Quar: u attach certain meaning to certain word or gesture
Calvino Rabeni: NLP has insights. They call it "anchoring"
Vendy Walpole: nooo, I compare yours "words" with links
    Vendy Walpole: hahaha
    Calvino Rabeni: Faster yes
Calvino Rabeni: OK yes they are like links to worlds of esperience
Vendy Walpole: Yes, that I meant
    Calvino Rabeni: nice connection
Calvino Rabeni: learning to use intuitive intelligence
Wol Euler: hello benvenuto, come and join us.
    Wol Euler: hello eliza
    Stim Morane: Hi Eliza
Qt Core: index pointing to greater chunk of experience/feeling
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone :) I apologize...am passing through :)
    Calvino Rabeni: like that
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Conversations here are recorded when ON AIR. Please see http://playasbeing.wik.is/
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Please observe 90 seconds of silence.
    Zen Arado: Hi Eliza
    Vendy Walpole: Hi Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: (nice to see you all for a second though) :) Bye
SophiaSharon Larnia: would like to hear more, but RL calls, take care everyone :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: night eliza
    Scathach Rhiadra: bye sophiasharon
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye sophia
Play as Being 15 minute bell: Thank you.
    Zen Arado: bye Sophia
Stim Morane: Must go ... thanks for your insights, everyone! I will contemplate them.
Calvino Rabeni: Is there an event in the Kira Cafe today?
Wol Euler: bye stim, take care.
    Scathach Rhiadra: good night Stim
    Vendy Walpole: Bye Stim
    Stim Morane: thanks. BYe!
    Calvino Rabeni: Bye
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye stim, good night everyone
    Zen Arado: bye Stim

Zen Arado: must go too bye
Zon Quar: me to go, bye all
