I arrived first, a bit tired from the invigorating session last night at 1900 hours, and then was soon by joing by Doug, Fael and Sky

Fael Illyar: Yes, it had a few pieces of knowledge I found interesting :)
Fael Illyar: Well, I still have to read it all, though, so there might still be more hiding somewhere there

Pia Iger: I want to mention I add a page in wiki for web links, so everyone can add this kind of good web site to our wiki
Sky Szimmer: ok. can you do it for me. i am too low tech. i don't know anything about wiki even though i have read what it is about.

I must remember to ask Stim about the exercise. The conversation turns to playing

Sky Szimmer: but basically, we act like we are already a Buddha

Fael Illyar: Oh... I think I'm sort of doing that all the time.
Sky Szimmer: i think that is why the title is Play as Being
Sky Szimmer: because why Play?
Pia Iger: That is what Pema said " we start from the end".
Pia Iger: the radical part of our play
Sky Szimmer: right. so doesn't that imply we know what
Sky Szimmer: Being may mean
Sky Szimmer: in order to play as something, we have to have some notion of what that means
Fael Illyar: Well, one recurring theme I've seen is that "you already know"
Sky Szimmer: so what does that mean to you
Fael Illyar: it means I know but don't know I know and therefore am seeking things elsewhere.

Pia Iger: yes, we don't look into ourselves often. so to speak.
Fael Illyar: you know, but _believe_ you don't. Therefore you search.
Sky Szimmer: how is that Fael
Pia Iger: yesterday they mention the word "innate wisdom", that is what we have, but we don't think we have.
Fael Illyar: yes, that sounds similar.
Fael Illyar: I've always been wondering how come most animals seem to be able to do things almost from birth where we humans have to learn.
Fael Illyar: so maybe we would be too if our parents didn't teach us not to.

Fael Illyar: I think I remember hearing the grammatical structure of Korean in similar to Japanese.

Gaya Ethaniel: it's easier for me to learn japanese than chinese, which is similar in structure to english

Gaya Ethaniel: in chinese (as in english) one says i go to school
Gaya Ethaniel: in japanese & korean, one says i school go

Gaya Ethaniel: yes i found also that my korean gets rusty as i don't speak as much now
Fael Illyar: My sister said the same thing about Finnish after spending a couple of years in Australia.

Adams Rubble It is wonderful that there are so many opportunites now to stay in touch with a culture
Fael Illyar: You could also try to find a Korean sim perhaps?
Adams Rubble A nice side effect to the information explosion
Gaya Ethaniel: yes that's right especially with korea, i can watch all tv programme over the internet though speed in uk lets me know at times as korean programmes are really big in size
Gaya Ethaniel: there are some korean sims but mostly shops and weird places...

Fael Illyar: Yes, we get to be very selective on what we spend our time on
Adams Rubble I tend to jump around...go in depth on one thing and then drop it completely, just leaving a few bookmarks in my favorite section
Fael Illyar: I tend to do some of that too
Gaya Ethaniel: i used to do that but now i just limit myself to a couple of newspaper sites in english & korean and bbc
Fael Illyar: but it gets lodged somewhere in my memory where it gets recalled from if I ever need the information.
Gaya Ethaniel: though my favourite folder is ever expanding :)
Adams Rubble As to newspapers, I read only a couple but they tend to be local now unless I want to know something specifically
Fael Illyar: then there are things I read just one article about. Those I tend to recall just enough to remember it exists and perhaps find it again
Gaya Ethaniel: do u still read papers in paper form? i read them mostly online only

Adams Rubble we get a couple of newspapers but I do most of my reading online
Fael Illyar: I don't read paper versions at all.

Fael Illyar: Ever since I switched to using TFT screen on my computers, I haven't had problems getting tired looking at the screen.

Fael Illyar: it could be something to do with me nearly unconsciously switching my posture and therefore distance to the screen all the time.
