    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Gaya :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Eliza :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: How are you?
Eliza Madrigal: I apologize in advance that I will leave just before the half hour but I wanted to check in
    Gaya Ethaniel: Sure np :)
Eliza Madrigal: another cold, ack, but otherwise fine :) Thanks
    Gaya Ethaniel: :(
    Eliza Madrigal: You?
    Gaya Ethaniel: OK thanks :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: How is "practice" going?
Gaya Ethaniel: Slowing getting into it again ... :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Sending a notice ... must have missed the alarm last night.
    Eliza Madrigal: :) it happens
Gaya Ethaniel: I enjoy WoK voice meeting. I find it quite helpful because I don't have a RL group that I practice with at the moment.
Eliza Madrigal: I enjoy them too, and find it funny that when the meditations were added it didn't take anything away from the sense of time sharing
    Gaya Ethaniel: Yes :)
Gaya Ethaniel: It didn't 'take up time' ... I know what you mean.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Gaya Ethaniel: We don't need extra time for chat ... it's quite strange :P
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed it is
Eliza Madrigal: funny, that my son used that phrase this morning and I stopped with it "extra time"
Gaya Ethaniel: I guess people who would prefer sticking to chat only have moved away.
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: not sure. For some meditating in SL doesn't come naturally
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Eliza Madrigal: but I instantly took to it
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: That's so you. Eliza instantly takes to something :P
Eliza Madrigal: haha and then wrestles with it for eons...
    Gaya Ethaniel: rofl
Eliza Madrigal: "why is it instantly there, is it supposed to be instantly there, do others agree that it is instantly there?"
    Eliza Madrigal: heheheh
Gaya Ethaniel bangs her desk laughing.
    Eliza Madrigal: :) we're funny
    Gaya Ethaniel: :P
Eliza Madrigal: How are your beauty snapshots coming along?
    Gaya Ethaniel: ?
    Eliza Madrigal: WoK homework :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: My photographs?
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah
Gaya Ethaniel: hm ... it's kind of a difficult topic ...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Gaya Ethaniel: I've been thinking how beauty is relevant in practice ... practice I think helps reveal vividness of life ... is the line I'm taking.
Eliza Madrigal: "Vividness of Life"... very nice!
Gaya Ethaniel: Well life seems duller from my experience of a long break in practice.
Eliza Madrigal: so you feel that when you are more practice focused or regular, that experiences seem illuminated, or?

    --BELL--

Gaya Ethaniel: One feels more ... notices more ... regardless beauty or sadness whatever. I would hear bird singing and actually stop to listen and enjoy for example.
    Eliza Madrigal: openness...
Gaya Ethaniel: I guess so ...
Gaya Ethaniel: Just being more alert as well.
Eliza Madrigal: yes, as though 'appreciation' sort of requires sustaining that comes naturally when attentive to practice...
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes, appreciation isn't really something to do.
Gaya Ethaniel: Funny I said that ...
    Eliza Madrigal: 'just there' :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: The other night I woke with a terrible sore throat, and for the first time I was able to separate the pain from the suffering...
    Gaya Ethaniel: oh
Eliza Madrigal: strange to describe, but I was able to see the difference between the pain and my story and 'woe is me'
    Gaya Ethaniel: mhm
Eliza Madrigal: with being bothered by illnesses that normally isn't so direct...
Eliza Madrigal: but seemed a first response
Gaya Ethaniel: It's kind of habit one gets into ... that extra stuff really. It's easier when one just deals with pain rather than having to deal with more with wallowing etc.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eliza Madrigal: and it occurred to me that 'this too is appreciation'
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I was watching a documentary the other day. This person put one hand in ice cold water and another in hot water for a while. Then he put both hands in lukewarm water.
Gaya Ethaniel: One hand that was in cold water felt hot and the other cold though in same water temperature.
Gaya Ethaniel: A surreal experience ...
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hi Xirana :)
    Eliza Madrigal: How interesting!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xiriana, nice to see you again
Xirana Oximoxi: hello Gaya and Eliza:)
Xirana Oximoxi: nice to see you too:)
Gaya Ethaniel: I will try that experience just to experience it myself :P
Eliza Madrigal: Did they do this at the same time?
Eliza Madrigal: Hah, maybe we can do that in NO, giggles.... a real 'lab' experiment :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes so each hand, one in hot water, one in cold at the same time for a bit ... then put them in lukewarm water.
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: It says a lot about our bodily perception.
Eliza Madrigal: yes, and what may be overlay
    Gaya Ethaniel: mhm
Eliza Madrigal: normally we don't see that...we bundle things
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Eliza Madrigal: often when walking or driving really slowly I am astounded a sense of having a lot of time
    Eliza Madrigal: seems similar
Eliza Madrigal: like "life" appears more fully
Gaya Ethaniel: I hate the sense of being rushed ... often created myself.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: I have to go but thanks for this talk...
Eliza Madrigal: nice frame to the day
Gaya Ethaniel: Enjoy your day :)
Eliza Madrigal: again, Nice to see you Xirana
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Eliza
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: Bye Gaya too :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I will go too Gaya! have a nice day:)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Bye :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye:)
