I noticed and watched a video on the Tao Te Ching by Eckhart Tolle:

when I was looking at the link Eliza posted yesterday. Fascinating. I dug out my old translation and ordered a new one by Steven Mitchell that Tolle recommends.

The dismantler-recyclers finished their 2-week task this morning. They earned more than 400 USD for their recycled metal.

I'm exploring a tinge of nostalgia now, as I recall the good and sometimes bizarre times in that long-ago homestead.

Went for a walk again this morning. At last - hooray. Past fading lilacs, green abundance and pine scorched grass, past rabbits and a single squirrel, past tiny window alcoves variously filled with blinds, teddy bears or the sun-faded pages of small library, past mountain profiles on registration plates and a whole line of Denver Boots... Only 15 minutes, only three-quarters of a mile, but still a Significant Achievement™. And back in time for Karuna-metta meditation. :)
