Me feels new energy for second stage :)

'Tulku Urgyen said that even taking seven steps toward a retreat center and having the heartfelt wish to actualize the teachings and realize the nature of mind for the benefit of all beings is more profound than giving all the money in the world to the buddhas. Just that desire and taking seven steps. I really believe that’s true. So I don’t think we know what it means to come down from the mountain. But I do know that if we never go up to the mountain, we won’t have anything to talk about.' Tim Olsted

Intentions, even if we fail in them so important...and also being prepared to 'go up the mountain' at times, to release ourselves from the shortsightedness caused by the minutiae and daily problems we are so attached to to get a fresh viewpoint. edited 17:51, 1 Jun 2012

Delighted to read yesterday's posts and today, the above.

Bit of discomfort, interesting to watch how that affects the way I hear and see in moments. Managed mantras and active appreciations of spaciousness and play... continuity such a pleasure. edited 03:07, 2 Jun 2012

Got to bed very late last night. Was up till 1:30am discussing karma with someone. It took me a couple of hours before I finally realized they were not interested in learning: they were only interested in winning! Their cup was already full; I could have poured all night and it would have had no effect.

Slept in. Did the monthly poster for our condo complex, including fresh photo from our garden. I'll see if I can attach one or more.

Did more cooking. Entertained our guests. And then went in-world for "on-demand" karuna-metta. Tired!
