I'm thinking a lot lately about the illusion of control. I do something and the result works out the way I wanted. But really I never understand all of the complex interactions of everything in life. So if everything works out okay I think I have made it happen that way, but it can just as easily go the other way too.
"True mastery can be gained
by letting things go their own way.
It can't be gained by interfering."
I advanced the year in the page title forward by 2 years to keep it in sequence! ;-))
A gentle walk this morning. Perhaps I'm used to quick fix grand gestures. They worked in the past. They don't work anymore. I end up injuring this aging vehicle. Little and often will have to be the way now.
Made an MP3 of the entire Karuna-Metta meditation for Mrs. Nordwind, as she has less access to SL than I do at the moment. It's 13 Mbytes. Can email to anyone who wants it.

Have been continuing a daily mantra practice and today felt to pay attention to "stopping when finished" with the intended boundaries, rather than going "on". A pattern that recurs with me is one of having something to do and adding all kinds of other things into it. It doesn't seem like a 'bad' quality, but what it perpetuates at times, is a cycle of unevenness. Sometimes it is better to take small bites, fry small fish, ala Tao Te Ching. :) Relates to taking 'gentle walks' as well. Slowing or stopping at enough, seems to gesture a kind of trust. edited 20:32, 15 May 2012
