Sorry to hear that Eliza. I enjoyed reading yours and others posts. I kinda get into the rhythm of daily posting but maybe others are busier than me. Not much point in me going on posting on my own so 50 will be my last too I guess. Various causes work themselves out...I was surprised to find a philosopher giving a view similar to non-duality teachings today:
" If who you are and what you do is simply the result of your brain and body function, and your brain and body are part of the physical world, subject to physical laws, aren’t all your thoughts and actions just the products of natural forces? Your actions may be more complicated and varied than those of a plant, but your opening of a book is no more free from scientific laws of cause and effect than the opening of a flower." Baggini, Julian (2011-01-01). The Ego Trick (p. 219). Granta. Kindle Edition.
Three days without posting. Oh no! Slaps wrist and giggles. :)
Eliza, I shall miss you. There will be a big empty space where you were before. You really do have a presence in your writing. We benefit enormously from it. :)) You can change your mind later, for a day, or for a month. You are neither committed nor de-committed!
That goes for you too Zen.
So I've been cooking and entertaining, and I got my exercise by wandering around the Downtown Denver Arts Festival. http://www.downtowndenverartsfestival.com/ One booth I saw - Toby Mercer's - inspired me to do another exhibit in the Art Dome. In particular his Forever Green exhibit http://www.tobymercer.com/works-available/black-with-color/forever-green-4/ Only took two or three hours. And Bleu kindly did a video of the result so I could send it to Toby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DumcXamsdyI - looks good on 720p HD setting.
So am I going to plod on for the next 50 days by myself/! o_O
On a different topic, Michele received her second invitation to Duolingo (having deleted her first by mistake). Now I feel I can make progress. We can study Spanish together. :))

if you go
you will leave a space
impossible to fill
but I shall try
I will plant a flower
one to each space
and try and bring
a sense of you
to my mind's garden
Zen - some small alpine
robust and not fragile
immensely detailed
but spread wide
and covering the rocks
Eliza - a large bloom
with open floppy petals
highly scented
inescapable aura
pervading everywhere
but you can return
Reclaim your space!
throw out these interlopers -
pale mannequins -
and be together
Thank you Storm, and Zen too ... it felt to me that we were dropping off bit by bit and I didn't want others hanging in there just for me. :)
Will think about this now... how could I not! It really has been a pleasure to come to this space each day, even when not much to report.
Today's report: I feel thankful for deep attentions and warm friends.
Signed,
your friend "Floppy Petals" hehe...cute edited 05:11, 30 May 2012
