Re practices, I am a little off-schedule and dealing with several pesky health things like colds and slow dental surgery recovery, but happily off-kilter as the last several days have been full and warm and interesting in many ways... taking their unique courses.

Today, a stranger opened up a lot of his life to me... told me stories of both difficulties and miracles -
One was of his younger and fragile brother whose life, for many years, due to a kidney condition, depended on his not catching a cold. At the edge of 15, his brother told the story of his room filling with light, and after that, he was never ill again... now a much older man.

The stranger said that he himself reads portions of the Power of Now constantly, and seemed bright and cheerful. 8 years ago he lost his marriage and retail business, which brings him to be working in an unideal place doing an unideal thing, while taking courses toward something more interesting, and being close to his son. It felt like "in the meantime" he was sharing his contentment and perspective, struggling, but with a wide view. edited 01:14, 18 Jun 2012
