By looking for fulfillment, we will never find it, seems to be one meaning to take from that. in a Tricycle article I was just reading Reginald Ray says "We live in a culture driven by consumerism. Many of us feel, perhaps without realizing it, that unless we are “producing” in some sort of external, materialistic way, our legitimacy as a human being is somehow in question. " Almost the same idea I think. I find it hard to get away from the idea that I should always be doing something or producing something in order to validate myself somehow... edited 19:40, 18 May 2012

Karuna metta this morning, dream circle, longish sitting, mantras, nice dinner, wrapping up writing... I list because I can't tell what from what today - work/play/rest/meditation... taste of flow contrasted with 'laggy' feeling yesterday. Also... yummy documentary: "Food Fight" which is about Alice Waters and the fresh food movement. It seems such a silly idea, that such rich and resourceful people should need a revolution to excavate our taste buds... to tell what from what in a different sense, but we do. :) edited 22:33, 18 May 2012
