"A person, place or thing is just an idea invented to freeze the fluid flow of the world into objects that can be labeled and manipulated by adroit but shallow modes of mind. Beyond and behind these snapshots we take for ourselves is a vast and unnameable process...Behind the objects lies a process. Self is a process. Self is a verb." Olendski
I love Olendski's way of capturing this. I need so much reminding of it though.
These will be my last two weeks of 99 days ... have enjoyed participating this, for me, third round, but will be switching up my habits.
I'm off with the kids for a few days, leaving tomorrow ... driving six hours to see a poet and then (well the plan is) going to the Dali museum. I will probably still check in, not sure.
Sometimes it is hard to be the person I want to be.. know that others may need me to be. The long drive isn't something I really feel up to physically but the time with the kids in this way, out of context, is important in a larger scope and I know will be fun.
Three months ago it seemed a "cool" thing to explore "where I hide" with original photos taken with available light -- and then to share those with all of you. I really do wish I'd continued to do that for 99 days. . . but then I grew SO weary of myself.
So, (shall I wax philosophic for a sec?). . . This "myself" thing is a bit like practice: Returning again and again to what is already there. No preference. No judgment. No filters.
Ahhhh! "Available Light!"
THANK YOU, Zen, Storm, Riddle, and Eliza (especially Eliza!) for keeping the 99-Days fires burning. I remember quite keenly when that first revelation about this project came from Wol - at a dinner in Halifax.
What will we do then?!

amazing to hold hands in a circle of 10,000 quiet souls for an hour.
