When I (Quen) arrived, it was quiet and peacefull in the pavillion, so I sat down and started staring in the pond, thinking about other sims. 

After some time I noticed Umbriel had sat down next to me. We both stared in the pond, calm, and without talking. At some point we both started to wear a hat. That changed in a curious way the atmosphere.

Then Gilles came:

Gilles Kuhn: for the avie i remember extreme example of person that believed i was taking myself for a wolf and therefore i was not a serious person .....
Gilles Kuhn: i remember persons who found the avie scary
Gilles Kuhn: others majority tk the great architect funny
quen Oh finds it funny, cuddly and furry... and inviting to pet...
Gilles Kuhn: and well lot of girls find it sexy which always amaze me
Gilles Kuhn: for me its only fun

Umbriel Levenque: What a mix of reactions

As you can see on the picture above, Umbriel has a - for SL rare! and refreshingly original - 'elder' avatar and a - also not at all common - in SL: it is coloured darker (beyond the standard SL-suntan). The combination makes him more rare than for instance Neko's (cat-people), furries (part animal part human) or wolfes... SL is a weird weird world.

quen Oh: weird world in SL.. no gravity but we can fall, and almost no older avies, because social attraction also is based on prims, and apparently most important prims
Gilles Kuhn: oh yes but with your attractive fem avie you must know how much its true quen
quen Oh: it is a strange but beautiful world out here, and all made up by humans! amazing
quen Oh: if you look outside in the real world we don't seem to realise what we could make of that one

quen Oh: yes, I must admit, I am superficial, wanted to make a nice and attractive avie, but she must look like having some charactre too and some brains..

quen Oh: well we make a very nice world here, and we can manipulate with some effort everything, and lots of people do... putting in hours.. we should do that world the old real world too..
Umbriel Levenque: I heard what one does in SL does bleed into RL to an extent so...
quen Oh: I must say the appearance of avatars does matter, I like it when it is original and has some fun or charactre...
Gilles Kuhn: well sl is an activity that take rl time for me is a communication ndevice like others
