The Guardian for this meeting was Scathach Rhiadra. The comments are by Scathach Rhiadra.
I arrived at the pavilion to find a visitor already present. As this person never clearly gave permission for their presence to be included in the log (nor did they refuse it), and their profile indicated 'a very private person', I have decided to change their name to just xxxxxx.......
Scathach Rhiadra: Hello xxxxx
Scathach Rhiadra: Have you been to a PaB session before, if I may ask?
Scathach Rhiadra: well, this is the PlayasBeing pavilion
Scathach Rhiadra: we hold sessions here 4 times a day, discussing the nature of reality, or just chatting
Scathach Rhiadra: I have to tell you that the sessions are recorded and the chat log put on our wiki, a public wiki
Scathach Rhiadra: so, if you have any objection to being included in our logs, please let me know
xxxxxx gave no answer, nor any indication she had heard me, then suddenly disappeared, only to reapper about 5 minutes later.....
Scathach Rhiadra: welcome back xxxxxx:)
Scathach Rhiadra: please sit, if you would like to:)
Scathach Rhiadra: may I give you a notecard about PlayasBeing?
xxxxxx: yes. but i just come here to relax in SL when i am busy with my work. this place seems pleasing.
Scathach Rhiadra: ah, that is fine, I also like to sit in silence here sometimes:)
Adams arrived and we had a short chat......
Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Adams:)
Adams Rubble: Hello Scath and xxxxxx :)
xxxxxx: hello
Adams Rubble: I just stopped in to say hello :)
Scathach Rhiadra: how are you keeping, well I hope?
Adams Rubble: Yes...a bit busy :)
Adams Rubble: and you?
Scathach Rhiadra: fine, busy also:)
Adams Rubble: :)
Scathach Rhiadra: xxxxxx likes to sit here at the pavilion when she is busy at her work
Adams Rubble: ah. a nice place to work :)
Scathach Rhiadra: yes, a lot of people enjoy this place
Adams Rubble: It is pretty here
Adams Rubble: Glad that Storm didn;t do snow :)
Scathach Rhiadra: :)
Adams Rubble has had enough snow
Adams Rubble: hehe
Scathach Rhiadra: we have not had snow yet this year, I wouldn't mind some:)
Adams Rubble looking ofr a box to send some
Scathach Rhiadra: any PaB issues or topics you would like to discuss?
Adams Rubble: I am afraid I have been a bit lax lately. How about you?
Scathach Rhiadra: me too:
Scathach Rhiadra: got caught up in work and the pheno group and studying
Adams Rubble: Well they're important :)
Scathach Rhiadra nods
Adams Rubble: How is the Tibetan coming along?
Scathach Rhiadra: its fine, have a class straight after this session:
Adams Rubble: ah
Adams Rubble: What languages is ibetan related to?
Adams Rubble: Tibetan
Scathach Rhiadra: hmmm, it is meant to be related to burmese, I think
Scathach Rhiadra: also Mongolian and Bhutanese
Scathach Rhiadra: not really sure how close the relationship is:)
Adams Rubble had the idea that Mongolian was in the language group with Turkish, Japanese, Finnish, etc.
Scathach Rhiadra: it could very well be
Adams Rubble knows very little about Asian languages
Scathach Rhiadra: me too, particularly their relationships to each other:)
Adams Rubble: and you have an i nterest in Irish too?
Scathach Rhiadra: ah yes, I learnt that from childhood
Adams Rubble: wow
Adams Rubble: It is good that language is being passed on
Scathach Rhiadra: it is the official language of the country, so everyone learns it at school
Adams Rubble: oh :)
Scathach Rhiadra: whether they want to or not:)
Adams Rubble didn;t know that either
Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: It is a lovely sounding language
Adams Rubble: especially in music
Scathach Rhiadra grins
at this point I tried to include xxxxxx in the conversation......but got no reaction......
Scathach Rhiadra: xxxxxx, may I ask what languages you speak?
Adams Rubble: xxxxxx seems to be lost in her work :)
Scathach Rhiadra: :)
Scathach Rhiadra: well, that is ok:)
Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: well, I better run. Enjoy your Tibetan class :)
Scathach Rhiadra: will do, its been nice chatting with you:)
Adams Rubble: yes, you too :)
Scathach Rhiadra: namasté
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
So, for the rest of the hour, my silent companion and I sat and appreciated the pavilion, the birdsong, fountain, and peacefulness. I also had the chance to contemplate xxxxxx's 2nd Life profile, which consisted of just a single quotation......
“If I stagger and wander, come to my help.
You are also human beings
and you are also going home”.
Tolstoi
At the end of the hour I bid xxxxxx farewell......
Scathach Rhiadra: I must go now, it has been nice to meet you xxxxxx
Scathach Rhiadra: be well, namasté
