Adams Rubble: It can’t be too much worse, can it?
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Apparently there are two types of people
Gaya Ethaniel: 1. It can't get any worse
Gaya Ethaniel: 2. It can always get worse
Adams Rubble: hehe
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Adams Rubble: The Puddleglums
Gaya Ethaniel: ?
Adams Rubble: Ah, it is from C.S.Lewis's series of children's books the first of which was "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe"
Adams Rubble: There was a character in one of the books called Puddleglum
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... I stopped reading after 2 chapters or so... got bored :P
Adams Rubble: who turned every though to its worst end
Gaya Ethaniel: Sounds funny
Adams Rubble: Yes, there are a few very interesting characters in the books
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Adams Rubble spent many happy hours reading them aloud
Gaya Ethaniel: When younger?
Adams Rubble: yes, to youngsters
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... :)
Adams Rubble: eager ears
Gaya Ethaniel: A lovely image :)
Adams Rubble: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: You have to get the day going no? Please feel free to go
Adams Rubble: I am taking a little break; no need to rush off yet
Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok :)
I notice Adams’ new outfit. It seems politics are on Adams’ mind again. Whichever direction we take, we end up at the politics :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Your outfit I noticed
Adams Rubble: you noticed ?
Adams Rubble: hehe
Gaya Ethaniel: :) looks like those characters from TV series... prairie
Gaya Ethaniel: The name doesn't come to me yet...
Gaya Ethaniel: oh
Adams Rubble: Would you like some hot chocolate?
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes please :)
Adams Rubble: It's virtual hot chocolate :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I have to pay you? :P
Adams Rubble: No. It's all part of the service
Gaya Ethaniel: ok 1 L$
Gaya Ethaniel: :P
Gaya Ethaniel: You'd fit one of those western RP sim
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: Actually it is German
Gaya Ethaniel: When did you have chocolate widelyl available in America?
Gaya Ethaniel: ah...
Adams Rubble: It is a money raiser for the Dresden Museum
Gaya Ethaniel: oh? you are fund-raising?
Adams Rubble: the virtual one :)
Adams Rubble: no. I bought it to help them raise money
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... are they in trouble?
Adams Rubble: I don;t think so. It was just a fund raiser
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I will go visit after. Keep meaning to go
Adams Rubble: If you haven't been there, you should go. It is like having a membership :)
Adams Rubble: can go as often as one likes
Adams Rubble: There is a link in my profile
Gaya Ethaniel: thanks :) well museums in UK are free [except temporary exhibitions] so very similar
Adams Rubble: Ah. I did not know that
Adams Rubble: More reason to get to London then :)
Gaya Ethaniel: It's amazin'...
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Adams Rubble: The Washington DC museums are mostly free
Adams Rubble: but most of the museums here are not
Gaya Ethaniel: I see, shame
Adams Rubble: yes
Gaya Ethaniel: People here see it beneficial and happy to pay for it through tax
Adams Rubble: People here don;t like taxes
Gaya Ethaniel: No one does surely :)
Adams Rubble: as the British found out in 1776. hehe
Adams Rubble: People here are worried someone might get something they don't get
Adams Rubble: The don't like to pay for education, culture, even roads and bridges
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... the income tax revolt...
Adams Rubble: Republicans like to fan the flames
Adams Rubble: Government is bad
Gaya Ethaniel: It can be... I'm sure
Adams Rubble: They only like to pay for wars and defense
Adams Rubble: Anything else is a waste of money
Adams Rubble: Hopefully we've reached the bottom of that philosophy
Adams Rubble: but the economy isn;'t helping
Gaya Ethaniel nods...
Adams Rubble: When the Bush administration first took office, one of the members of the new government said that they were going to put the country in such debt that the Democrats would never be able to spend another dime on social programs
Adams Rubble: Funny thing is...
Adams Rubble: The Dems are going to do it anyway :)
Adams Rubble: and everyone is so numb from the debt they don;t seem to care
Adams Rubble: except for the republicns who suddenly are worried about debt
Gaya Ethaniel: It's like a house built on sands... with all these debt
Adams Rubble hits herself on the side of the head "stop waxing political"
Gaya Ethaniel: :) it's interesting
Gaya Ethaniel: Who's going to pay for all these debts I wonder
Gaya Ethaniel: [not just in US]
Adams Rubble: yes. it's a mess
Gaya Ethaniel: Would the younger generation be able to pay for all with the interests? Or magically written off?
Adams Rubble: But not to worry...things can't get much worse :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I am usually in 'it can always get worse than this' camp :P
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: Well, it is much worse in many parts of the world today
Gaya Ethaniel nods...
Gaya Ethaniel: ok I've done my time. Will go visit some places :)
Adams Rubble: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Enjoy your day Adams
Adams Rubble: It was nice visiting with you this morning
Gaya Ethaniel: Peace and tranquillity before the invasion of students
