Adams Rubble: There was a character in one of the books called Puddleglum
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... I stopped reading after 2 chapters or so... got bored :P

Adams Rubble: Yes, there are a few very interesting characters in the books

Adams Rubble: but most of the museums here are not

Gaya Ethaniel: People here see it beneficial and happy to pay for it through tax
Adams Rubble: People here don;t like taxes
Gaya Ethaniel: No one does surely :)
Adams Rubble: as the British found out in 1776. hehe
Adams Rubble: People here are worried someone might get something they don't get
Adams Rubble: The don't like to pay for education, culture, even roads and bridges
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... the income tax revolt...
Adams Rubble: Republicans like to fan the flames
Adams Rubble: Government is bad
Gaya Ethaniel: It can be... I'm sure
Adams Rubble: They only like to pay for wars and defense
Adams Rubble: Anything else is a waste of money
Adams Rubble: Hopefully we've reached the bottom of that philosophy
Adams Rubble: but the economy isn;'t helping

Adams Rubble: When the Bush administration first took office, one of the members of the new government said that they were going to put the country in such debt that the Democrats would never be able to spend another dime on social programs
Adams Rubble: Funny thing is...
Adams Rubble: The Dems are going to do it anyway :)
Adams Rubble: and everyone is so numb from the debt they don;t seem to care
Adams Rubble: except for the republicns who suddenly are worried about debt
Gaya Ethaniel: It's like a house built on sands... with all these debt
