Fael Illyar: Travels went relatively well... what with getting a flu while there... I guess it's the worst one I've had in years
Caledonia Heron: oh, sorry to hear of the flu ... hard to go through
Fael Illyar: Yes, this AV is a good one but wasn't cheap either.
Fael Illyar: Well, usually it would've been but .... somehow it didn't feel like that this time.
Caledonia Heron: some virus strains hit harder than others plus if you're tired/run down they get a "better" grip
Fael Illyar: Yes, they do. Just, mentally it didn't feel as hard as I'm used to flu being.
Fael Illyar: so, there was quite little of being miserable.
Fael Illyar: amusing how much of what I call being miserable was purely my own creation
Caledonia Heron: it multiplies when you're on the road
Fael Illyar: Yes, that too
Fael Illyar: except, when the worst hit, I happened to be able to stay in one place for the worst of it
Caledonia Heron: so you got a good view of your hotel? :)
Fael Illyar: holiday village more like :)
Fael Illyar: perks of working for the owner, stayed for free :)

Fael Illyar: that's a bit difficult to answer :) maybe, I'm not sure.
Caledonia Heron: what do you mean?
Fael Illyar: I know I sometimes do them even when the bell doesn't ring. It's just that they don't leave a recollection.
Fael Illyar: I do them and then tend to forget about it.

Fael Illyar: How was your christmas and new year?
Caledonia Heron: very nice ... lots of friends, some family ... a little topsy turvy after christmas helping a friend but overall pretty good .... you?
Fael Illyar: Ah, mine was more modest. Unusually modest even for me.
Fael Illyar: Just me, my mother, stepfather and halfbrother for christmas eve
Caledonia Heron: eve is your celebration, yes?
Fael Illyar: yes
Caledonia Heron: in the land of weeklong birthdays and parties for groundhogs and saints we party on the eve, day and night and well beyond :
Fael Illyar: Hehe :)
Fael Illyar: I guess some people party more than my family in Finland too.
Fael Illyar: anyway, then I had a friend over for a couple of days. Then headed for northern Finland.
Caledonia Heron: fun!
Fael Illyar: Yes, except for the flu but it was still kind of interesting even with that :)
Fael Illyar: with the right company, that is :)

Fael Illyar: but I had some interesting experiences along the way.
Caledonia Heron: do tell :)
Fael Illyar: one happened during the drive to north... lasted for an hour, perhaps a bit more.
Caledonia Heron: ??
Fael Illyar: I started having a rather suffocating feeling around my heart. Breathing took some effort and overall kind of ... well, not threatening but uncomfortable.
Caledonia Heron: yikes
Caledonia Heron: do you know why?
Fael Illyar: after a while of pondering about it, the suffocating feeling started feeling like mazes built around my heart.
Fael Illyar: once I got there and tried unraveling them, it started getting back to normal
Caledonia Heron: find a way through? :)
Caledonia Heron: that's interesting imagery
Fael Illyar: I also had the feeling it wasn't my own heart I was feeling.
Caledonia Heron: wonder what it was?
Fael Illyar: hard to say for certain.
Fael Illyar: while it was going on, I also had some glimpses of a small boat near a tropical island.
Caledonia Heron: maybe old man winter is messing with you :)
Fael Illyar: who knows :)
Fael Illyar: that was a couple of days before the flu started

  

Caledonia Heron: do you assign any meaning to it?
Fael Illyar: what's the word? holding my judgement on the matter... is that the way to express it?
Caledonia Heron: yes ... I get that ... the jury is out kind of thing
Caledonia Heron: impressions?
Fael Illyar: well, if it was imagination, I have no idea how come I suddenly thought of something like that.
Fael Illyar: can't quite remember anyone talking about something like that.
Fael Illyar: or reading about something like that
Caledonia Heron: hmmm, well, a maze around the heart is an incredibly rich metaphor :)
Fael Illyar: Yes, I got the feeling it was supposedly a shield... although I can't fathom why anyone would want to use something that uncomfortable as a shield.
Caledonia Heron: sure, a shield, or journey, or trial, or ...... :)
Caledonia Heron: or choices, or things tried and discarded or ....... :)
Fael Illyar: could be anything, yes.
Caledonia Heron: well, maybe not 'anything', more a certain group of somethings :)
Fael Illyar: well, you know me, I like to exaggerate sometimes :P
Caledonia Heron: lol
Caledonia Heron: that reminds me of a good friend who tells great stories and when he tells stories about where I have been present I notice things are a little grander or more exagerated .... and he says, never let thetruth get in the way of a good story :)

  

Fael Illyar: the experience repeated afterwards a few times but didn't get near as uncomfortable since I knew what to "do".
Caledonia Heron: ah, you mean the tight feeling?
Fael Illyar: yes
Caledonia Heron: do you need a dr?
Fael Illyar: although, tight is slightly off ...
Fael Illyar: perhaps not :)
Caledonia Heron: maybe tense not tight?
Fael Illyar: it wasn't painful, just uncomfortable.
Fael Illyar: plus tends to return somewhat if remember the occasion
Caledonia Heron: maybe it will return to you with some form of clarity ... maybe through 9 sec :)
Fael Illyar: possibly, who knows.
Fael Illyar: I felt it around the heart but it didn't quite feel physical tightness.
Caledonia Heron: mmm, mental tightness?
Fael Illyar: and tightness is a bit of a wrong word ...
Fael Illyar: difficult to explain
Caledonia Heron: maybe it will come to you :)
