    Qt Core: Hi Wol
    Wol Euler: hello qt
Wol Euler: we both managed the timechange, I see :)

    --BELL--

    Qt Core: ;-)
Qt Core: Having to check 7 clock around the house make you quite aware of that
    Wol Euler: oh yes
Wol Euler: I cleverly set the "manual" clocks ahead at 11pm wintertime, so that I'd be inspired to go to bed
Wol Euler: then woke at "8am" and was no longer sure whether I'd done it!
Wol Euler: so went around the house looking for corroborating or disproving evidence
Qt Core: i always do that, and this year had to do the morning check too, to see if the smartphone was smart enough
Wol Euler: if it *were* smart, surely it would set itself?
    Wol Euler: hello egg
Qt Core: it was but the new tv wasn't
    Wol Euler: pah
eggsalad Ormstein: hi wol. how's your head?
    Qt Core: hi eggsalad
    Wol Euler: much better, thanks
    eggsalad Ormstein: hi qt
Qt Core: i woke up early to watch the first F1 GP of the 2011 season... even with the new rules... quite boring
    Wol Euler: what's new?
    Wol Euler: (what changed?)
Qt Core: tires maker, tires rules for the best qualified (they have to use used tires) and for a brief time the cars attacking another can dinamically modify the back spoiler
Qt Core: and the Kers is back
    Wol Euler: what's a Kers? :)
Qt Core: a battery where cars save energy from braking and then can use for an extra powers for one or two seconds
    Wol Euler: hello korel
    Korel Laloix: Morning.
    Qt Core: hi korel
Korel Laloix: What's the topic this morning?
Wol Euler: formula 1, so far :)
Wol Euler: feel free to intróduce something else
Qt Core: while i'm not a big fan of soccer i always dollowed F1... that is until it got boring and MotoGp become more avaiable on tv (ok i'll stop here :) )
    Korel Laloix: lol
Korel Laloix: I am not into racing.
Korel Laloix: But going to redneck specticals is always fun in person.
Wol Euler: I've been to horse-racing a few times, at the racetrack, and enjoyed it
Korel Laloix: Like monster truck ralies and tractor pulls and NASCAR.
Wol Euler: (definitely not a redneck sport)
    Korel Laloix: lol
eggsalad Ormstein: I like vintage racing
Korel Laloix: Old cars you mean?
Qt Core: thatmay be interesting... how one could like races in an oval track, ;-)
    eggsalad Ormstein: yes, korel
Wol Euler: qt, I have that argument with my brother-in-law :)
Korel Laloix: I have to say the whole DRIVE FAST TURN RIGHT! thing can get a bit slow after a while.
Wol Euler: I saw Nascar etc is dull because of the oval track, just going around and around and around and around
eggsalad Ormstein: vintage racing happens on road courses with both sorts of turns
Wol Euler: he says F1 is boring because the positions so seldom change, it's much harder to overtake than in nascar
Korel Laloix: If want to watch cars go by I will just go stand on a bridge somewhere and drink a coke.
    Korel Laloix: Much chepaer.
    Wol Euler: yeah :)
Qt Core: sadly that is getting worse each season
eggsalad Ormstein: vintage races are usually free to attend
Korel Laloix: But then again, I enjoy watching marathons.
Korel Laloix: And I am sure to non runners that is just as boring.
Wol Euler: you're probably too young to remember the woman who came last in the marathon at the LA Olympics :)
Wol Euler: but I bet the rest of us do
eggsalad Ormstein: marathons would be more interesting if some racers skipped

    --BELL--

    Korel Laloix: lol
Qt Core: watching people getting tired and suffering while you are seated with a drink ? i love that ;-)
    Wol Euler: ha!
Wol Euler: I've had bosses who thought that.
Wol Euler: talked through the pause, sigh
Korel Laloix: What I really cant understand is football though.
Korel Laloix: 17 seconds of running into each other.
Korel Laloix: THen 3 minues of just standing around.
eggsalad Ormstein: and the feet are rarely used, unlike REAL football
Qt Core: at lkeast there action are a little longer than baseball ;-)
Korel Laloix: If you take the whole hour, they are actualy doing something for maybe 6 mins.
Korel Laloix: I went to a couple of soccar games in Europe.... was a very different thing.
Qt Core: that's why they need all that food and cheerleading to pass the time
Korel Laloix: Well, calling what you get a football game food is a bit of an exageration.
    Wol Euler: :)
Korel Laloix: And you could get a decent beverage for an OK price at the soccar games in the UK and Germany.
Wol Euler: cough German beer cough
Qt Core: don't know never been in a stadium for a sport match
Korel Laloix: It can be fun with freiinds.
Korel Laloix: Went to a cricket match in the UK.
Korel Laloix: That was interesting until I figured it out..... after that though......
eggsalad Ormstein: don't those take days?
Korel Laloix: WE left, but I understand that it has changed so each game only lasts a day.
Wol Euler: up to four days actually :)
Wol Euler: for the serious Test matches
Wol Euler: most league games are over in an afternoon
eggsalad Ormstein: may I ask an unrelated question?
    Wol Euler: of course
    Qt Core: sure
    Korel Laloix: no
    Wol Euler: :-P
Korel Laloix: Cricket is soooooo relivent.
    Korel Laloix smiles
eggsalad Ormstein: why is the word "abbreviation" so dang long??
    Wol Euler: a paraddox!
Korel Laloix: Blame it on the French or bush.
    Korel Laloix: brb relog
Qt Core: to teach you how to do that ;-)
eggsalad Ormstein: I don't think french women have bushes anymore
    Wol Euler: :)
eggsalad Ormstein: am I misinformed, wol?
Wol Euler: actually that's interesting, come to think of it. My entirely unscientific belief is that American women are more likely to shave than European
Qt Core: speaking about it, the new Wind commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3frRu5kEhU
Qt Core: those three are one of the best comedic group in italy

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: looking around in saunas etc, I'd say that the vast majority of Germans are bushed
    Wol Euler: wb korel
eggsalad Ormstein: then I shall visit Germany
    Wol Euler smiles.
    eggsalad Ormstein: wb kor
Wol Euler: link doesn't work for me, qt, like so many: copyright material not available bla bla bla
    Alfred Kelberry: meep!
Qt Core: fun that they don't want an ad do be seen ;-)
    Alfred Kelberry: woly girl :)
    Wol Euler: morning boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
    Qt Core: Hi Alfred
    eggsalad Ormstein: hi al
    Alfred Kelberry: feel better?
Wol Euler: better but not good, thank you
Wol Euler: good is clearly going to take a while.
Alfred Kelberry: on the right track then :)
Wol Euler: I went out shopping yesterday, buying groceries, and had to sleep for an hour when I got home
eggsalad Ormstein: maybe you should try the sauna. Bake it out
Korel Laloix: Shopping is a sport if done right.... very tiring... grins
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: there isn't a sauna near here, sadly, and I fear the getting there and back in my weakened state
Qt Core: with shopping extreme in sales season ?
    eggsalad Ormstein: ah, yes.
Wol Euler wonders whether Boxy is writing or chewing gum.
    Alfred Kelberry: um...
    Alfred Kelberry: nom
    Alfred Kelberry: :P
Alfred Kelberry: korel has a colorful tattoo
    Wol Euler: indeed
    Alfred Kelberry: ah...
    Korel Laloix: Thanks.
Alfred Kelberry: i've seen it before
Korel Laloix: The crest of Saint Margaret.
Wol Euler: she's been here before
Korel Laloix: Like my RL one on my left arm.
    Alfred Kelberry: correct :)
Alfred Kelberry: you have any tattoos, woly?
Wol Euler: in sl sometimes, in rl no
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Wol Euler: too much of a coward about pain for a rl tattoo
Korel Laloix: It is not that bad.
Alfred Kelberry: nice shirt, btw :)
Korel Laloix: The real pain is your your bank account.
Qt Core: which come first, korel ? the sl or the rl one ?
    Korel Laloix: I have four.
    Korel Laloix: RL
    Wol Euler: ty boxy
Alfred Kelberry: i like your casual style :)
Wol Euler: it's for the retreat today, I felt the usual style would be inappropriate, distracting
    Alfred Kelberry: oh...
Alfred Kelberry: it certainlly affected you
Qt Core: just after this session, right ?
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
    Alfred Kelberry: dress code apparently
Wol Euler: it's been an interesting experience having a retreat in SL
    Korel Laloix: brb
Wol Euler: it works better than I thought it would, but to be honest it needs more dedication and discipline than I have
Alfred Kelberry: i think your casual style would distract and draw questions more than you being you :)
Wol Euler: I'll let you know.
    Alfred Kelberry: ok :)
eggsalad Ormstein: from what are you retreating?
Wol Euler: my inner moscow, perhaps
Wol Euler: I'm not sure why one uses that particular word
    Wol Euler: for me it's a going-into rather than a backing-away-from

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: hello tallin, nice to see you again
    Tallin Dezno: hii pabers ! ... :-)
Tallin Dezno: ty wol - same same
    Qt Core: hi Tallin
    Alfred Kelberry: berty :)
Tallin Dezno: hi qt and alfi - boxy :-)
Alfred Kelberry: oh, you're doing the zen move, berty! :)
Tallin Dezno: zen move ? what do you mean ? :-)
    Alfred Kelberry: your hands
Tallin Dezno: ah - while writing ?
Tallin Dezno: why is that "zen" ? :-)
Alfred Kelberry: cuase only he does that
Qt Core: it almost seem as you are making a energy ball to throw i know i watch to many anime
Tallin Dezno: ahh - i see *lol* i thought you meant the special buddhism sect with it ! :-)
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    eggsalad Ormstein: good day
Tallin Dezno: and it seems to be included to the ao i wear ...
    Wol Euler: bye egg
Alfred Kelberry: i'm sure he chose this nick for a reason
Tallin Dezno: and i have no idea what these moves shall mean or tell us ... (?) ;-)
Tallin Dezno: yes ! he practises zen ! :-)
Wol Euler: it looks like the gestures that mages and warlocks make while casting spells in games like World of Warcraft
Tallin Dezno: hehe. and i know it from some tantric buddhist rituals, symbolizing the forming of a lotus seat ... ;-)
Wol Euler: ah, perhaps that too :)
Wol Euler: actually I should go, it's coming up to retreat time and I need to prepare
Wol Euler: hello melengell, have you been here before?
Qt Core: ok, have... fun ?
    Qt Core: hi melengell
    Melengell Resident: Hi Qt
    Melengell Resident: Am I late?
Tallin Dezno: hi melengell ... :-)
    Melengell Resident: Hi Tallin
Tallin Dezno: yes. may be you are a victim of the time shift ? it´s nearly over here ... ;-)
Wol Euler: hello melengell, have you been here before?
Tallin Dezno: but i also came only a few minutes before ... ;-)
    Melengell Resident: No, I haven't.
    Wol Euler: okay,
Melengell Resident: Well, I knew I was running late, but I heard good things about this place and thought I'd at least check it out
Wol Euler: I have to go, but can somebody please giver Mel the introduction and ask for permission to publish her words?
    Tallin Dezno: wonderful melengell ! ... :-)
Wol Euler: bye for now, enjoy your sundays
    Qt Core: Bye Wol
Tallin Dezno: yes wol, i´ll do so
    Wol Euler: ty
Melengell Resident: Nice meeting you, Wol
Wol Euler: likewise, mel. enjoy SL
Tallin Dezno: nice sunday for you too wol
    Melengell Resident: thank you
    Wol Euler: retreat day!
Melengell Resident: It's been great so far.
Melengell Resident: You making imaginary bread, Talllin?
Tallin Dezno: we record the talks here and put it on a wiki web site. is that ok for you melengell ? i also can give you a notecard about that all ... including the wiki web site adress (url) ...
Qt Core: another interpretation ! :-)
Melengell Resident: Oh, yes, it's fine; I'll try not to swear. lol
Tallin Dezno: hehe. no - it´s the silly animation my ao does when i type - should thow it away ! ;-)
Melengell Resident: Just don't take my picture and place it on the website. lol
Alfred Kelberry: ah, woly left :(
Alfred Kelberry: ok, i'll take her cushion :)
Qt Core: went to the retreat session, Alf
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, right
Tallin Dezno: yes. he said, it would be retreat time alf ...
    Alfred Kelberry: hi, mel
Melengell Resident: You all sound French--retreat!
    Melengell Resident: Hi boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, berty!
    Alfred Kelberry: i forgot...
    Melengell Resident: Interesting avi
Alfred Kelberry: did i talk to you about beginner programming?
    Tallin Dezno: no ?
    Alfred Kelberry: oui, retreat
    Qt Core: no
Alfred Kelberry: um... i think it was you, berty
Tallin Dezno: and okay mel - no photo on our website - okay ;-)
Alfred Kelberry: anyway, i've found a link for you :)
    Tallin Dezno: okay ...
    Melengell Resident: thank you

    --BELL--

    Alfred Kelberry: http://pine.fm/LearnToProgram/
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Tallin Dezno: it´s only ... a bit complicated to take a animation off of the ao - but i will do it as fast as possible ! ...
Tallin Dezno: here, for example, i can´t do it : not possible to put the ao to work on it ...
Alfred Kelberry: 6 mb, berty :)
Melengell Resident: Wouldn't it be easier to just get a new AO?
    Tallin Dezno: no
    Melengell Resident: Who's Berty?
Alfred Kelberry: um... i mean, tal :)
    Alfred Kelberry: sorry
Tallin Dezno: hehe - np - that´s me melengell :-)
    Melengell Resident: oh, ok
Tallin Dezno: because i´m here with bertrams alt, tallin ;-)
Melengell Resident: Now, that's confusing. Shouldn't yhou have Berty as your display name?
Melengell Resident: oh, you're an alt.
Melengell Resident: Why have an alt?
Tallin Dezno: i have it as flip title above me - do you see it ?
Alfred Kelberry: display name is a neat feature
Tallin Dezno: but you must wait a week to change it ... so i prefere the flip titler ... ;-9
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Tallin Dezno: and alt to relax a bit. ma main avatar is so well known to many ...
Qt Core: why i never liked the "forced" last name i don't like the display name idea
    Qt Core: *while
Alfred Kelberry: tal, it's like when a big movie star escapes to a distant island where no one knows about him :)
Qt Core: changing clothes, outfit, skin, species, sex, at least the name was fixed
Tallin Dezno: and the animation i will remove in some minutes ... at the moment i detached the complete ao. a new ao to find would be harder : one which is complete nice is not easy . and also sometimes sxpensive ...
Melengell Resident: Well, Qt, your account name will still be there.
    Tallin Dezno: yes boxy :-)
Melengell Resident: And ok, so then if you use an alt to escape your main avatar, isn't it silly to tell everyone your his alt?
    Alfred Kelberry: ads
Tallin Dezno: i don´t think so . because i explain when necessairy, that this alt doesn´t make friendships and apologize for it. so when i disappear from a place i disappear completely for the people i was together with so far ... :-)
Melengell Resident: i think I see. ::shakes her head:: Sounds complicated.
Melengell Resident: What if you forget and tell people stuff only your alt would know? Wouldn't your cover be blown?
Melengell Resident: I'm very new at this, so I'm trying to understand.
Qt Core: that means that sl is really like rl ;-)
Tallin Dezno: and i have total privacy, then. and am totally alone. except with the people i´m together with at the places where i am then
Melengell Resident: I see; so what you're saying is you don't like your friends very much and need to escape from them. Is that it?
Tallin Dezno: and i don´t want to deceive or fool my friends ! so, in contrary, when i am with some of them - they know me and i wear the flip titler to show that i´m bertram ...
Melengell Resident: oh, yeah, I see what you mean about the flip titler now. You have that yellow 'bertram' up
Qt Core: so you are only where you are, not bothered by others
Qt Core: like turning off your cell and email while at meetings in rl
Melengell Resident: oh, you mean in IM's? Yeah, they can be annoying, like when you wanna hear open chat
Tallin Dezno: exactly qt. and melengell : no : i like my friends very much. but sometimes it´s "too much", they are "too many" for me and i like to relax a bit from that and don´t have to say then to every im - sorry , no, not at the moment and so on ...
Tallin Dezno: it´s also another way of being here - in a way anonymus, at places at least where i have no friends for example
Tallin Dezno: and yes melengell - now you got it, too ! :-)

    --BELL--

Qt Core: i need to go, bye all and have fun!
Tallin Dezno: bye qt ! *wave* ...
    Alfred Kelberry: yea, me too
    Melengell Resident: bye qt
    Alfred Kelberry: meep!
Melengell Resident: I should really log too
Tallin Dezno: bye boxy ! *wave* ... ;-)
    Melengell Resident: bye boxy
