The Guardian for this meeting was Bruce Mowbray. The comments are by Bruce Mowbray.

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Zon.
    Zon Kwan: hi Bruce
    Zon Kwan: how r u
    Bruce Mowbray: Excellent, thanks.
    Bruce Mowbray: & u?
    Zon Kwan: feeling scottish ?
    Bruce Mowbray: A wee, yes.
    Zon Kwan: lol
    --BELL--
Bruce Mowbray: Have you visited the Dome recently?
    Zon Kwan: dome ?
Bruce Mowbray: The Art of Being Recorded projects are pretty amazing there.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, the Kira Dome...
Bruce Mowbray: just a sec, I'll give you a LM.
    Zon Kwan: no..
Zon Kwan: is it new ?
    Zon Kwan: thx..what is there?
Bruce Mowbray: It's been there as long as I've been coming to PaB -- so at least 10 months or more.
    Zon Kwan: hm
Bruce Mowbray: Well, we have a special project every other month or so -
Bruce Mowbray: this is the 3rd one I've participated in.
Zon Kwan: he Being Recorded projects. . what is it?
Bruce Mowbray: This time folks are encouraged to select at "random" some PaB session from the past three years -- and then to make an art project about something they found.
Bruce Mowbray: We put up the piece of art -- and also a notecard to explain what it's about.
    Zon Kwan: ah
Bruce Mowbray: Some very interesting work, there.
Zon Kwan: i will visit it
    Zon Kwan: kind of visualisation
Bruce Mowbray: cool -- You won't be disappointed.
Zon Kwan: what did u do ?
Bruce Mowbray: Well, I randomly found a session in which no one came but Pema...
Bruce Mowbray: and I read what he's written about that - and then I made a 3D composition in the Poser program to illustrate it.
Bruce Mowbray: Let me see if I can find that image for you now.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, here is a copy for you...
Zon Kwan: hey..u r an artist
Bruce Mowbray: Actually, it is almost twice as tall as it is wide--
Bruce Mowbray: but that doesn't work so well in textures..
Zon Kwan: is it narcissos or what ?
Bruce Mowbray: You'll see what I mean if you visit the Dome, though.
Bruce Mowbray: Nope -- It is Pema at the fountain. . .
Bruce Mowbray: If you touch any of the projects, you will get a notecard explaining what they are trying to illustrate.
Zon Kwan: seeing his own reflection ?
    Bruce Mowbray: yes...
Bruce Mowbray: And it is titled, "Reflections"
    Zon Kwan: but also
    Zon Kwan: seeing other
    Zon Kwan: cool
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks -- There are about 4 Pema's in that composition (ha ha!)
Zon Kwan: u should put that on rl exhibition
    Zon Kwan: very good
Bruce Mowbray: Just a sec -- I will build a very temporary poster here so you can see the fuller version.
Bruce Mowbray: I'm having trouble seeing through a the foliage. . . just a sec...
    Zon Kwan: there

Bruce builds a very temporary poster to show Zon the composition.

Bruce Mowbray: OK -- Can you see it now?
Zon Kwan: yes..the blue color is cool
Bruce Mowbray: That's about the right proportions of vert. and horiz.
Zon Kwan: how did u do it?
Bruce Mowbray: Pema titled his session, "Reflections," so that's what I titled this composition, as well.
Bruce Mowbray: I made it in a software program called "Poser"
Zon Kwan: did it have the figure ready?
Bruce Mowbray: But there are many others on exhibit in the Dome that are really very good.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, in Poser one can make figures of all sorts -- and configure them, change sizes and shapes, "skins," etc.
Bruce Mowbray: and also change environments, objects, reflections, etc.
Bruce Mowbray: It's really a FUN program.
    Zon Kwan: is it free?
Bruce Mowbray: The downside is that objects made in Poser are NOT transferable to SL, unfortunately.
    --BELL--
Bruce Mowbray: It's actually quite expensive. . .
Zon Kwan: how did u manage to transfer it then?
Bruce Mowbray: I merely transferred the final composition -- on a flat surface - like a painting.
Bruce Mowbray: What I meant earlier was it's not possible to transfer the OBJECTS (3D objects) from Poser into SL.
    Zon Kwan: k
Bruce Mowbray: because they use a different sort of 3d illusion-making in Poser.
Zon Kwan: quite quiet here..is there a workshop or something?
Bruce Mowbray: I think most folks who would normally be here at this hour are at the Dreams session in the Cafe.
    Zon Kwan: ah
Zon Kwan: then i'll pop in there
Bruce Mowbray: I see at least seven folks over there right now.
Bruce Mowbray: cool. Check it out and enjoy.
    Zon Kwan: k..see u
    Bruce Mowbray: take care, Zon!
    iwandertoo Resident: waves
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, iwandertoo!
    iwandertoo Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray: Opps -- forgot -- I meant to say,
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Susan.
    iwandertoo Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray: OK.  Let me put this in the chat for any readers who might see it --
Bruce Mowbray: Susan has just asked in IM about donating to PaB -
Bruce Mowbray: and I've found the web page for that:
    Bruce Mowbray: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Donations
Bruce Mowbray: OK -- Here is the single donations page--
    Bruce Mowbray: http://www.kira.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=44&Itemid=88
Bruce Mowbray: I hope that helps, Susan.
    iwandertoo Resident: ty
    Bruce Mowbray: yw.
Bruce Mowbray: Susan, there is a Dreams session at this hour -- and I think most of the folks are over there right now --
Bruce Mowbray: We normally have a lot more people around the fountain.
iwandertoo Resident: what is a dreams session?
Bruce Mowbray: The dreams session began at 1 p.m. slt -- at the Kira Cafe.
Bruce Mowbray: It is a session in which folks relate their dreams -- and it's fairly structured.
Bruce Mowbray: (more after this drop).

    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce, Susan :)
    Bruce Mowbray: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Dream_Circle
    iwandertoo Resident: waves
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Bleu.
Bruce Mowbray: I visited the dome earlier today -- and the art there is REALLY good!
Bleu Oleander: yes, many very interesting pieces
Bruce Mowbray: Oh -- Susan, I almost forgot -- There will be a Dream Circle session right here --
Bruce Mowbray: tomorrow morning at 7 slt.
    iwandertoo Resident: ty
Bruce Mowbray: That is a special session - and only meets here once a month, I think.
Bruce Mowbray: Although there is a regular Dreams Group that meets this hour in the Kira Cafe, also.
Bruce Mowbray: I hope I'm not confusing you. The wiki URL should clear it up, though.
    iwandertoo Resident: ty
    Bruce Mowbray: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Dream_Circle
    Bruce Mowbray: yw.
Bruce Mowbray: Are you ready for the big party, Bleu?
Bleu Oleander: yes, looking forward to it
Bruce Mowbray: yes, me too. Should be a lot of fun -- fun of various sorts.
Bleu Oleander: Storm has finished the "hunt" which adds another fun element to it
    Bruce Mowbray: Oh great!
Bruce Mowbray: a treasure hunt with NINE objects!
Bleu Oleander: he suggested we could start anytime
Bleu Oleander: the first stop is the party site
Bruce Mowbray: I also see that he has a flying carpet over on the party grounds.
    Bleu Oleander: treasure chest
    Bleu Oleander: yes, that too
Bruce Mowbray: flying carpet sitting right in front of my plot (ha ha!)
Bleu Oleander: he's put alot of work into this!
Bruce Mowbray: I will check it out when I go home, then.
Bleu Oleander: like having your own private flying carpet :)
Bruce Mowbray: yes, he certainly has -- a lot of work for PaB in general through the years, too.
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
Bruce Mowbray: just what I need, huh?
    Bleu Oleander: doesn't everyone?
    Bleu Oleander: hehe
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Bleu, have you ever worked with the Poser program?
Bleu Oleander: no what is it?
Bruce Mowbray: 3D composition program called Poser.
Bleu Oleander: what does it do?
Bruce Mowbray: That's what I used for my composition in the Dome.
Bruce Mowbray: Thought you might have used it since you're SO GOOD with graphics work.
    Bleu Oleander: I use photoshop
    Bleu Oleander: import as texture
Bleu Oleander: and apply to a prim
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, but PS is a flat picture program.
    Bruce Mowbray: Poser is 3D.
Bruce Mowbray: OK -- You can do that --- wow?
Bruce Mowbray: I should try that.
Bleu Oleander: so you import it as a 3D object?
Bruce Mowbray: No -- Unfortunately, one cannot transfer 3D objects from Poser into SL.
    Bruce Mowbray: Darn!
Bleu Oleander: ah so how do you bring it into sl?
Bruce Mowbray: But I have done what you're talking about -- In fact, my composition at the Dome is exactly that.
Bruce Mowbray: I brought it in as a flat image -- a picture (composition)...
Bleu Oleander: so the same way?
    Bruce Mowbray: Just a sec....
Bruce Mowbray: I will show you here.
Bruce Mowbray: Got just a minute or two?
    Bleu Oleander: sure

Once again, Bruce builds a temporary poster.

Bruce Mowbray: That's how I do it -- but the original composition was made with 3D objects in Poser.
    Bleu Oleander: ah I see
Bleu Oleander: so make the comp in 3D then import as a texture
Bruce Mowbray: That, believe it or not, Is Pema beside the fountain!
    Bruce Mowbray: yes.
Bruce Mowbray: I just wish one could import the actual 3D objects from Poser...
    Bruce Mowbray: sculptures, etc.
Bleu Oleander: how do you make the 3D objects?
Bruce Mowbray: That's what the Poser program is for.
    --BELL--
    Bleu Oleander: using photos?
Bruce Mowbray: not photos -- a software program to make 3D objects.
    Bruce Mowbray: http://poser.smithmicro.com/
Bruce Mowbray: That's their website -- for the Poser program.
    Bleu Oleander: ty!
Bleu Oleander: is it mac friendly?
Bruce Mowbray: It probably is, but I have a PC.
Bruce Mowbray: no experience with Apple, sry.
Bleu Oleander: i'll check it out
    Bruce Mowbray: cool.
Bruce Mowbray: You are such a good artist, I think you'll enjoy reading up about it.
Bleu Oleander: do you use the small version?
Bruce Mowbray: Susan, have you been able to find your way around the Pab sites and sessions?
Bruce Mowbray: No -- I use the full-sized Poser program.
iwandertoo Resident: i've not really attempted to
Bruce Mowbray: Well, it's quite a fascinating place.
Bruce Mowbray: You can even take a balloon ride -- for a while anyway.
Bruce Mowbray: or a magic carpet ride.
iwandertoo Resident: i did do this one evening
    Bruce Mowbray: ahhh!
Bruce Mowbray: Many different groups -- with regular sessions -- along with this one, of course.
Bleu Oleander: bye for now .... thanks for the info Bruce :)
    iwandertoo Resident: waves
    Bleu Oleander: take care
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Bleu!
    Bruce Mowbray: Be well.
Bruce Mowbray: We have a "Time Magic" session on Friday mornings taught by the man who first founded PaB three years ago - Pema.
Bruce Mowbray: And on Thursdays we have a Ways of Knowing Group.
iwandertoo Resident: what is "Time Magic"
Bruce Mowbray: an amazing group, really.
Bruce Mowbray: Well, it is a first-person exploration of Time, Space, and Awareness.
Bruce Mowbray: and every week we each do a "report"
Bruce Mowbray: I will find that for you now.
iwandertoo Resident: I'm not certain if these things resonate.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Dash!
iwandertoo Resident: if it's on the site, I can read through it.
    iwandertoo Resident: waves
    Dash Earthboy: hey y'all
    Bruce Mowbray: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Magic_of_Time
Bruce Mowbray: Did you ever find the arsonists who burned your boat, Dash?
    Dash Earthboy: no not yet
Bruce Mowbray: I am so sorry about that.
Bruce Mowbray: It has to be arson, don't you think?
Dash Earthboy: boat at one spot, and my homebuilt trailer at another 30 feet away
Dash Earthboy: there was a clamshell cartop carrier on the trailer and all that was covered by fitted vehicle cover
Bruce Mowbray: and both were burned. . .
Bruce Mowbray: that is beyond "suspicious."
iwandertoo Resident: how does one commit arson in SL?
Bruce Mowbray: This was in RL, Susan. A few days ago.
Dash Earthboy: yes, only thing left is metal parts of trailer (frame)
    Bruce Mowbray: insured?
Dash Earthboy: the State Farm folks told me "since that was outside, of course it's not covered"
Bruce Mowbray: They want you to bring your boat INSIDE???
Dash Earthboy: they didn't say where other people without garages store such things
Bruce Mowbray: Oh, I see. Not in a garage.
    --BELL--
Bruce Mowbray: Good fences do NOT good neighbors make, necessarily -- me thinks.
Dash Earthboy: no it all was in backyard out of view from prying eyes
    Bruce Mowbray: so sad.
Dash Earthboy: i may post the pics somewhere showing the small "burn pile" the fire marshal said caused it all and the trailer almost 20 feet from that and the boat in another direction and behind my process *for fireplace) woodpile
Bruce Mowbray: so the sheriff at least knows about it. . .
Dash Earthboy: both wood piles are 95% there despite the fire around them
Bruce Mowbray: or fire marshal, rather.
    Dash Earthboy: yes
Bruce Mowbray: It sounds like a very "specific" fire. . .
Dash Earthboy: and apparently my dentist knew too when I saw her a couple hours ago
    Bruce Mowbray: wow.
Dash Earthboy: i was referred to her by my insurance agent in 2009
Bruce Mowbray: sounds like a tight little community -- but a dangerous one, too.
    Dash Earthboy: yes
Dash Earthboy: that's why I've called it "living in hostile territory"
Bruce Mowbray is glad to be a hermit -- far from hostile territory.
Bruce Mowbray: Well, folks, I am going to scratch up some supper now.
Dash Earthboy: yes, i miss my TN farm for that too
Bruce Mowbray: Dash, I am really sorry for your loss.
    Dash Earthboy: hey Hana
Bruce Mowbray: I bet you miss the farm in TN.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Hana.
    Hana Furlough: Hi everyone
Hana Furlough: Must run to WG
Dash Earthboy: think I best go use some groceries I got on the way home...
Bruce Mowbray: Sorry, Hana, Susan, and Dash -- but I've just been called off to the working group.
Bruce Mowbray: May you all be well.
    Dash Earthboy: you too
    Dash Earthboy: gtsy Susan
