When I (Quen) walked into the pavillion Fefonz was allready there.

    quen Oh: hey Fefonz!
    quen Oh: how are you?
    Fefonz Quan: Hi quen :)
Fefonz Quan: i'm very good, how about you?

Gaya joined us. Between some phonecalls here and Fefonz trying to post his first chatlog, we had this conversation:

    quen Oh: good too!
    quen Oh: hey Gaya!
quen Oh: how are you Gaya?
    Fefonz Quan: hi Gaya :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello :) Well well how are you both?
quen Oh: very good we just established that ;-)
    Fefonz Quan: :)
quen Oh: how would the pond be?
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    quen Oh: I'd say: wet
quen Oh: though you neverknow in primland..
    Fefonz Quan: pondering... :)
    Gaya Ethaniel smiles
quen Oh: one of the qualities avatars have to live without
    quen Oh: hehe
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
quen Oh: yes, probably it is pondering
Fefonz Quan: i have a technical ut important question
    Fefonz Quan: but*
    Gaya Ethaniel: Shoot
quen Oh: ah shoot indeed, otherwise I was going to bore you with a dutch saying
    quen Oh: ;-)
Fefonz Quan: how do i put the chat logs i have in text files into the PaB
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Fefonz Quan: wiki??
quen Oh: you log in on the wike (I assume you did make an account?
    Fefonz Quan: yes i did
quen Oh: go to the folder chat logs, and than to the correct month, then you click +add new pages=
quen Oh: and you copy paste in the right place the text, best to do from the txt-chat file, (first in MS Word I was advised not to do)
quen Oh: there you can edit, put in comments, choose a title and save the thing
Fefonz Quan: how does it know to call this page by the date?
Gaya Ethaniel: There is a 'tutorial' on wiki - http://playasbeing.wik.is/Informatio...sting_Tutorial
Gaya Ethaniel: It's the title, follow the format Fefonz
Gaya Ethaniel: We need to make up a title ie 2009.01.09 07:00 - Title
quen Oh: if all are in the same format it will be shown in the right order...
Fefonz Quan: Great Gaya, tha's what i've been looking for (the tutorial)
Gaya Ethaniel: One gets hang of it after a few posts
Gaya Ethaniel: [some hiccups along the way for me until I finally got it]
Fefonz Quan: guess i'll get them too... is there a way to change after you've posted it?
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes by clicking 'Edit'
    Fefonz Quan: cool
Fefonz Quan: so i'll go over it later, won't bother this chat further more with that issue
Fefonz Quan: what ws the Dutch thing mentioned above?
Gaya Ethaniel: Try once and feel free to ask me questions
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes what was it quen?
quen Oh: ah yes, sorry phone distracted me
quen Oh: Stille wateren hebben diepe gronden
quen Oh: translated: silent waters have deep grounds
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
quen Oh: meaning people who are not very talkative and calm can have very deep thoughts
Fefonz Quan: the version i know says "silent water runs deep"
quen Oh nods... the same indeed
    Fefonz Quan nods
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
quen Oh: was what came to mind, when you mentioned 'pondering'
quen Oh: had not seen that link before (english still often reveiling secrets for me)
Gaya Ethaniel: It's nice when that happens
Gaya Ethaniel: A rare joy of being a foreinger I'd say :)
    Fefonz Quan: yep :)
Gaya Ethaniel: How is your PaB practice going Fefonz?
Fefonz Quan: just started, my pc here is very slow
Fefonz Quan: and switching between processes takes a while...
Fefonz Quan: (oh, i think i answered another question)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah... :)
    Fefonz Quan embarrased
    Gaya Ethaniel: np
Fefonz Quan: infact i had a very interesting practice today,
Fefonz Quan: tough it was during a much longer meditation, does it counts? ;-)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Of course
Gaya Ethaniel: 9 sec is one of the practices people here do... imo
Fefonz Quan: So - i was meditating for 30 min with cosed eyes
    Fefonz Quan: closed
Fefonz Quan: and then stretced a little and went on with open eyes, looking at the grass
quen Oh is on the phone... :-(
    Gaya Ethaniel: ok :)
    Fefonz Quan: it's all recorded!
    Gaya Ethaniel: mm... then Fefonz?
    Fefonz Quan: thought we wait..
    Gaya Ethaniel: oh yes let's
    Fefonz Quan: ok
    quen Oh: back
    Gaya Ethaniel: wb :)
quen Oh: were you virtually meditating?
Gaya Ethaniel: :) I was doing some work
Gaya Ethaniel: Think Fefonz was trying to post a log
quen Oh: you meditated looking Fefonz?
quen Oh: ah yes, and SL is very very laggy lately btw
    Gaya Ethaniel nods...
    Fefonz Quan: i'm back, sorry
    Gaya Ethaniel: wb :)
    Fefonz Quan: should i proceed?
    Gaya Ethaniel: Please :)
Fefonz Quan: i should say that the meditation i did is very PaB like, viipasana
Fefonz Quan: (at least my understanding )
Fefonz Quan: so when i was pondering the grass :)
Fefonz Quan: looking at it when one leaf is in the center of my viewing field
Fefonz Quan: something weird happened to my visual perception
    Gaya Ethaniel: oh
Fefonz Quan: it was a little like looking in those 3-D images
Fefonz Quan: the face, or surface of the grass, which is quite cheotic but wihtout
Fefonz Quan: without definite objects on it
Fefonz Quan: begun to move, "float",
Fefonz Quan: vibrate, present small waves and then relaxing
Fefonz Quan: , changing from "flat" surface to periodic patterns
Gaya Ethaniel: How oddly wonderful... an image that is
Fefonz Quan: which change in terms to other peridic patterns
    Fefonz Quan: periodic*
    Fefonz Quan: .
    Fefonz Quan: .
Gaya Ethaniel: Have you had similar experiences before?
Fefonz Quan: a little, mostly with similar kinds of surfaces, which are monotonous but have small detatls
Fefonz Quan: when it happened, i thought that at some point i managed to look without "defining" what i see interms of patterns, features and so on,
Fefonz Quan: but then the "automatic" mechanisms of my visual system begun jumping
Fefonz Quan: with suggestions for such definitions and order
Fefonz Quan: like fighting desperately to resolve order out of cheos
    Gaya Ethaniel nods...
Gaya Ethaniel: Once or twice I had similar experiences in a forest... looking at leaves
Fefonz Quan: and all that while my mood was very peaceful, adn joyful
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Fefonz Quan: yes, leaves
Fefonz Quan: also small rocks, or carpets gave me similar experiences
    Fefonz Quan: (no pattern carpets)
Gaya Ethaniel: Certain vibrant flowers do that too... Jacaranda petals...
Fefonz Quan: i thought maybe that's what zen gardens are like
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... an interesting thought :)
Fefonz Quan: aiming at taking our visual system out of balance
Fefonz Quan: and then - maybe - falling into new states of mind
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah... :)
    Gaya Ethaniel takes note
quen Oh: gosh it is phone traffic hour here
Fefonz Quan: i would realy like to continue discussing it, but supper is calling
Gaya Ethaniel nods. Need to go also
Fefonz Quan: (with lots of nice people that i wouldn't keep wating hungry :)
Fefonz Quan: so hope to get to it later.
Gaya Ethaniel: Enjoy your dinner :)
quen Oh: interesting what you were discussing!
quen Oh: Enjoy your dinner Fefonz!
    Fefonz Quan: thanks :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Have a good weekend quen if I don't see you again
    Fefonz Quan: bye all :)
    quen Oh: you too Gaya!
Fefonz Quan: have a good weekend too, Gaya
    quen Oh: bye Fefonz
