stevenaia Michinaga: what draws us in to come here week after week.? Simple friendship, learning, discussions, new people, new idea, all of the above for me, and the perfect time of day for me
Paradise Tennant: smiles ... a sense of belongiing ?
stevenaia Michinaga: that is a part of what friendship is
Paradise Tennant: think places and spaces have belonging to them too :)) there all kinds of levels of connection
Paradise Tennant: ever been somewhere new and it calls you
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, there are those places, but what is a virtual "Place"

Paradise Tennant: think there is a sense of place here
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, Storm handled that well
Paradise Tennant: you can walk into to different builds and they assault your senses just like walking somewhere in rl
Paradise Tennant: have found myself quite attached to different sims and then heartbroken when they go poof
stevenaia Michinaga: yes entire communities vanish that way
Santoshima Resident: meanwhile whole cultures and languages are vanishing
Santoshima Resident: creatures and plants
Santoshima Resident: how is that any different
Santoshima Resident: and what exactly is the importance of virtual sims vanishing

Paradise Tennant: another exercise in impermanece
stevenaia Michinaga: recently I was invited to a "reunion" of a dissappeared place from 4 years ago, no idea how they got the names together
stevenaia Michinaga: jsut a few hours, nice seeing some familiar ppl

Paradise Tennant: what I find is that it puts me nose to nose with how precious each day each hour is ..
Paradise Tennant: we should cherish ...
Paradise Tennant: live in appreciation I guess is a good term

Paradise Tennant: had a wonderful dinner with a friend this summer and found myself at his funeral 3 weeks later
Paradise Tennant: puts it in very sharp relief

Paradise Tennant: why it is so precious I guess
stevenaia Michinaga: also, I think I have the expectation that something special has happened here in the past, so I return with the possibility of it happening once more
