DR42 Resident: Normally I do not like SL because there is great danger in not having inflection in typing, but it does allow you to "take your words back" in some cases.
Riddle Sideways: up until the return key is hit
DR42 Resident: IIRC, it is to identify an intention and investigate that intention.
DR42 Resident: That was what we talked about doing at the Sunday meeting.
Riddle Sideways: so last week lots of intentions were identified
DR42 Resident: Yes, but pick any intention you might have. I selected doing meditation twice a day.
Riddle Sideways: ok
DR42 Resident: What keeps me from doing it? What motivates me to try to do it? Those are questions that come to mind, for me.
Riddle Sideways: taking one at a time and investigating that one
DR42 Resident: Yes
Riddle Sideways: picking ... to pause 9 sec every 15 min

DR42 Resident: I used to pause at stoplights. When I got stuck in traffic, I would slide into a meditative state and only pay attention enough to "wake up" when I had to move.

Riddle Sideways: how often are you in traffic
DR42 Resident: It lowered my stress when driving in heavy traffic, I would arive at me destination in a much more relaxed state.
DR42 Resident: Often.
Riddle Sideways: that has very good results then
Riddle Sideways: intention that gets rewards-results
DR42 Resident: Yes, it worked well for me.

Riddle Sideways: investigation had suggested that lower back problems might be from bedding
Riddle Sideways: so next experiment was to flip mattress
DR42 Resident: Yes, old, worn out bedding, or too soft.
Riddle Sideways: help to do that was available right then
DR42 Resident: Good that you did that.
Riddle Sideways: check! one thing done today.
Riddle Sideways: investigation on that front goes onto the next step of experiment

DR42 Resident: I get exercises from a physical therapist to help me stretch and strengthen my back muscles.
DR42 Resident: Such short meditation does not help my understanding of self, it only serves to lower my stress level.
Riddle Sideways: just started back to going to gym
Riddle Sideways: short med did not at first
Riddle Sideways: then over time there mount up

DR42 Resident: I always seem to get to the end of the day and not do the second one, or sometimes, even the first.
DR42 Resident: ADD makes it difficult and I often simply forget.
