    Wol Euler: hello qt
    Qt Core: Hi WOl
    Qt Core: !
Wol Euler: knew there was someting missing form this outfit :)
    Qt Core: lovely golden/firey colors
    Wol Euler: very autumnal
Wol Euler: I had a pair of golden shoes that went with it, but i can't find them
Qt Core: no problems, your feet are inside the cushions ;-)
    Wol Euler grins.
Wol Euler: how are you today?
Qt Core: quite good, had the afternoon of... not that home is less stressful than the office ;-)
    Wol Euler: heh
Qt Core: and your day, how was it ?
    Wol Euler: very stressful.
Wol Euler: constant pressure, fear, anger all around.
Wol Euler: it's a bad time.
Wol Euler: (projects going badly, and of coruse htat is always the architect's fault no matter who causes it)
Qt Core: so software and buildings aren't so different ;-)
    Wol Euler: :)
Qt Core: i'm working on some specific clients request these days... and my comment on some of them is... poche idee ma ben confuse ([only] a few ideas but really cunfused) :-)
    Wol Euler: heh
Wol Euler thinks of dilbert's boss
    Qt Core: (love dilbert)
    Wol Euler: yeah.
Wol Euler: last sunday#s was brilliant. The elbonian monkey god?
Qt Core: i rarely go to the site (better, i'm quite late, let say ten years with it)
Qt Core: but have a few of the books
Bleu Oleander: hey Wol, Qt :)
    Qt Core: hi Bleu
    --BELL--
    Wol Euler: hello bleu
Qt Core: strange tan you have Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Wol Euler: ah, you have Mrs. Schmidt's bridge boots!
    Wol Euler: love them.
    Bleu Oleander: yes, my favs
    Wol Euler grins.
Wol Euler: I have the liquid boots too, those are really exotic
    Bleu Oleander: me too
    Wol Euler: http://www.dilbert.com/2010-10-17/
Bleu Oleander: (fashion talk during the 90 secs :D
Qt Core: i got really scared when i hear speaking about sl brands ;-)
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
    Wol Euler: why?
Qt Core: even without the extremes of my cube av i liked to think sl was less "commercial" than rl
    Wol Euler raises an eyebrow.
Qt Core: but i knoew that at some degree is more art than commerce
Bleu Oleander: speaking of art ....
    Qt Core: ;-)
    Bleu Oleander: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Events/PaB_Art/2010.11.01_-_DROP_WHAT_YOU_HAVE_...
    Wol Euler: :)))))
    Wol Euler: great idea.
Bleu Oleander: are you both working on your AV's for the project?
Qt Core: got an idea but no idea how to do it ;-)
Wol Euler hums and looks at the ground.
Wol Euler: yeah, what qt said.
Bleu Oleander: i'll help you or ask anyone
Wol Euler: my "that's not for you" monkey is really shouting about that, for some reason
Wol Euler: and his brother "I'm not an artist"
Qt Core: mine do that each time i see the word art :-)
Bleu Oleander: oh Wol .... I expect a great entry from you !!
    Wol Euler: oh dear :)
Bleu Oleander: so don't call it "art"
    Wol Euler: hello freud, yaku.
    Qt Core: hi Freud, Yaku
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Freud Jungsten: osiyo
    Bleu Oleander: hey Yaku
    Bleu Oleander: hey Freud
Qt Core: just expression, then ? ;-)
    Bleu Oleander: exactly Qt
Bleu Oleander: you have a few weeks
Wol Euler: until 1.noovember? not on my calendar.
    Fefonz Quan: Hi all!
    Wol Euler: hello fef
    Bleu Oleander: nov. 14
    Qt Core: Hi Fefonz
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi fef
    Bleu Oleander: hi Fef
Bleu Oleander: for the late arrivals ..... http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Events/PaB_Art/2010.11.01_-_DROP_WHAT_YOU_HAVE_...
Wol Euler: what does ". Designs can be "store bought" or made, but only using the avatar as a base" mean, bleu?
    Bleu Oleander: (shameless promoter)
Bleu Oleander: it means you can create your own avatar outfit or buy one
Wol Euler: and "only using the avatar as a base"?
Bleu Oleander: you art piece must be all part of your avatar
    Wol Euler: oh, I see.
    Bleu Oleander: no additional props
Wol Euler: that refers to the art.
Wol Euler: so the photo should contain only my av
Bleu Oleander: and photo taken against an all white background
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Wol Euler: gotcha.
    Fefonz Quan: brb
Bleu Oleander: there's a photo booth on my PaB plot
Bleu Oleander: with a stool in it that has several poses
Bleu Oleander: so you can stand or sit
    Bleu Oleander: or hover
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: so turning your AV into an art piece
    Bleu Oleander: expressing the theme
Bleu Oleander: Aphrodite and I put up an example next to the photo booth
Freud Jungsten: YOu really have to have a very narrow version of the word "art" not to consider most AVs art I think.
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bleu Oleander: I do consider most AV's to be art
Bleu Oleander: just not always expressing the theme of this project
Qt Core: the point here is the message such art should convoy/expand on
    --BELL--
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Freud Jungsten: So what is the message then?
Freud Jungsten: What am I missing?
    Bleu Oleander: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Events/PaB_Art/2010.11.01_-_DROP_WHAT_YOU_HAVE_...
Wol Euler: another PaB art proiect started by Bleu :)
Bleu Oleander: we do art projects that express the PaB themes
    Wol Euler: hello aggers.
    Agatha Macbeth: Evening all
    Bleu Oleander: hey Agatha
    Qt Core: Hi Agatha
Freud Jungsten: Drop what you have to see what you are.
    Freud Jungsten: siyo
    Wol Euler: that's the one.
Freud Jungsten: Sounds a bit cheezy but fun.
    Wol Euler: hello storm
    Bleu Oleander: hi Storm
    Storm Nordwind: Hi there!
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello again Stormy
    Qt Core: Hi Storm
Wol Euler wonders whether Yaku has fallen asleep while typing.
    Agatha Macbeth: Probably
Bleu Oleander: I just sent him an IM
Bleu Oleander: he must be stuck
Freud Jungsten: At work so in and out.
Agatha Macbeth: Either that or he's re-writing Lord of the rings
Wol Euler: he does work terribly early hours, 4:30 am start if I remeber rightly.
    Fefonz Quan: wow...
Agatha Macbeth: Could be just a long sentence
    Wol Euler: :)
Fefonz Quan: lag does that sometimes
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Wol Euler: Plato!
Wol Euler: (that often wakes him)
    Agatha Macbeth: Where?
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe he fell asleep on the keyboard
Bleu Oleander: how he gets his exercise while sleeping :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: well
    Agatha Macbeth: wb Yaku
    Wol Euler: ah!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
    Bleu Oleander: wb Yaku !!
Agatha Macbeth: That must be a record time to type four letters....
    --BELL--
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually i was in a rl session about sartre an hour ago
    Wol Euler: wow.
Yakuzza Lethecus: so no plato today :P
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
    Bleu Oleander: nice
    Wol Euler: congratulations.
Wol Euler: where did you find that?
Yakuzza Lethecus: i visit that phil course every new semester
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s about 30 km from here
Wol Euler: oh, nice. I'm so glad,.
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s about existentialism this time
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, don´t be at least this one is in real life, i often think of not driving :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: i am the same there i just listen and ,,sometimes" it gets me to say something
    Agatha Macbeth: What, 30 km?
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: may I throw in something from another conversation, which resonated for me?
    Agatha Macbeth: Lob away Wol
    Bleu Oleander: sure
Wol Euler: [13:51] Bau Ur: I have confronted, in the last couple of years, how much of what I had thought was "me" was simply youth, and is now gone. [13:51] Bau Ur: There is, however, a hell of a lot of me left to go around.
    Agatha Macbeth grins
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Wol Euler: is that not a perfect RL seen-in-the-wild example of untutored dropping? :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Good old Bau
    Agatha Macbeth ponders 'untutored dropping'
    Agatha Macbeth: onigokko
    Wol Euler laughs.
    Agatha Macbeth: stop
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: bye everyone ... take care :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
Wol Euler: bye bleu, take care
    Qt Core: Bye Bleu
    Fefonz Quan: bye Bkeu\
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Bleu
    Fefonz Quan: bleu*
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bleu
    Agatha Macbeth: And Bkeu
    Yakuzza Lethecus: and bye fef
Fefonz Quan: I'll follow, good night all!
    Agatha Macbeth: Shalom Fonzie
    Wol Euler: 'night fef.
    Qt Core: bye fef
Yakuzza Lethecus: good evening storm, sleep well everyone else
    Agatha Macbeth: Night yaku
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Yaku :)
Storm Nordwind looks outside and sees the sun shining brightly in a clear blue sky over snow topped mountains
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Wol Euler: fifty mile visibility, you said, the other day?
Wol Euler: I can't imagine that.
Agatha Macbeth looks outside and sees the curtains drawn
Storm Nordwind: Normally more - usually 70 miles
    Wol Euler: wow.
Qt Core: same scene yesterday here
Qt Core: but not from all windows ;only some
Storm Nordwind: Today Pikes Peak - 55 miles away - is clear but slightly hazy
Agatha Macbeth: Didn't someone push a peanut up Pike's peak with his nose once?
    Wol Euler: probably.
Agatha Macbeth: I seem to recall reading that somewhere
Storm Nordwind: It's in America so the chances are greater than if it was in Scotland
    Wol Euler giggles.
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, but you need to allow for altitude remember
Storm Nordwind: True. 10000ft higher than Ben Nevis. And the lack of oxygen gets to us
    Agatha Macbeth: Erk
Wol Euler: (among other effects) making nasal peanut-pushing seem like a good idea.
Agatha Macbeth: Do you notice the thinner air Storm?
Storm Nordwind: Making it seem like a team sport
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
Storm Nordwind: You acclimatize after a few weeks
    Agatha Macbeth: Right
Storm Nordwind: But you have 20% oxygen in the UK than in Mile High City
Wol Euler: does the air down below feel overly rich, now?
    Storm Nordwind: *20% more
Storm Nordwind: Yes. I was in New York a couple of weeks ago. So thick humid air - like you could waft your hand through it
Wol Euler: yes, but that's TRUE there :)
Wol Euler: it feels that way to us too.
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Agatha Macbeth: Can't beat fresh exhaust fumes
Storm Nordwind: And the car horns NEVER stop honking
Agatha Macbeth nods. Nearly as bad as Rome
Storm Nordwind: "Oh it's down to one blast per 20 seconds... it must be 2am"
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
    Agatha Macbeth: :p
Qt Core: or Milan, i smell the difference from my home (less then 5 km outside milan boundary and city centre
Wol Euler: still, htere are places where tehy say that about shotguns.
    Agatha Macbeth grins @ Qt
    Storm Nordwind: clipclopclipclopclipclopBANGclipclopclipclop
    Agatha Macbeth: Billy the Kid?
    Storm Nordwind: Amish drive-by shooting
    Wol Euler laughs.
    Wol Euler: !
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
    Wol Euler: heheh
Agatha Macbeth: Thought they were pacifists
Wol Euler: this is the only time I regret having overidden that bellylaugh gesture
    Storm Nordwind laughs
    Wol Euler: :)
    --BELL--
Agatha Macbeth: Please observe 90 seconds of sirens
    Storm Nordwind laughs
    Wol Euler: :)
Agatha Macbeth: (A very loud police car just went by)
Storm Nordwind: Oh... I thought we were talking about New York again
    Agatha Macbeth: (Or an ambulance)
Storm Nordwind: Actually that would be Tokyo instead
    Storm Nordwind ducks
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah Tokyo...
Qt Core: when the direction of "one way" of my street changed and it become "useless" to the main traffic flux i was unsettled by the decrease of noise
    Wol Euler nods
Agatha Macbeth: Can't sleep for silence
    Storm Nordwind: Shouting silence
Wol Euler: that happens when I visit my sister. It's so quiet, that I have trouble sleeping the first night
    Agatha Macbeth: OMG
Agatha Macbeth: Where is she - Edmonton?
    Wol Euler: heh
    Wol Euler: regina
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: I know they call Edmonton 'Deadmonton'
Qt Core: i call it "long range silence" if i have it my ears try to find some noise, like someone walking on the street so i lose my concentration (if i was having some)
    Wol Euler nods
Agatha Macbeth: Can you please walk more loudly?
Agatha Macbeth: Imagine shouting that out of a window at somebody
    Storm Nordwind: clipclopclipclop...
Agatha Macbeth looks round for Shergar
Storm Nordwind: Ah... I'm in the right part of the country for that ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeehaw!
Storm Nordwind: I meant near Estes Park...
Storm Nordwind: Home of the Stanley Hotel...
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Storm Nordwind: on which is based The Shining
    Wol Euler: ooooh
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I remember that
    Agatha Macbeth: Good old Jack
    Storm Nordwind: and Red Rum
Agatha Macbeth: Was he in it too?
    Storm Nordwind: only walking backwards
    Agatha Macbeth: For Christmas?
    Storm Nordwind sighs :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Meep Meep ;P :p:P :p :P
    Wol Euler: :)
Storm Nordwind: Plesae excuse me - I have a home to go to!
    Wol Euler: :-PPPPPPP
Agatha Macbeth: Mind the Amish shooters
    Qt Core: bye Storm
Wol Euler: goodnight, storm, take care
    Agatha Macbeth: C ya stormy
    Storm Nordwind waves
Qt Core: damn, over the pc fan noise i'm earing the nightly silence...
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Agatha Macbeth: Fire a gun at somebody
    Wol Euler: :)
Qt Core: maybe i can put up some music without the risk of killing somebody...
Wol Euler: might be a better idea, yes.
    Agatha Macbeth: Rammstein
Qt Core: trying to having local noise defeating distant silence
Agatha Macbeth: A hard battle to win
Agatha Macbeth: Tell Sulu to fire all phasers
Qt Core: no one hear you screaming in space...
Wol Euler: in hte Internet, nobody knows you're a dog.
Wol Euler: unless you put it in your profile.
    Agatha Macbeth: Woof
    --BELL--
Agatha Macbeth: 'My name is Prince - I'm an alsatian'
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler hands you a squeaky chew-toy
    Agatha Macbeth: ty
    Qt Core: time to go
    Wol Euler: 'notte, qt.
    Wol Euler: sleep loudly :)
Agatha Macbeth: Ciao Qt, buona notte
    Qt Core: 'notte
Qt Core: i don't even snore...
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
    Qt Core: :-) ciao!
Agatha Macbeth: I wonder how he knows?
    Wol Euler: hehehehehhe
Wol Euler: one of the real puzzlers, that is
    Agatha Macbeth: Well, yeah
Wol Euler: you can ask, but do you know that they are telling hte truth?
Agatha Macbeth: Or put a recoder next to your bed
    Agatha Macbeth: +r
Agatha Macbeth: Was it John Cage who did a piece called 40 minutes of silence'?
Wol Euler: 4:33 if I remember rightly
Wol Euler: but it's been done by several people
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, thought it was linger
    Agatha Macbeth: longer
    Agatha Macbeth: even
Agatha Macbeth: Mind you, it's probably quite easy to play
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
Wol Euler: you probably still need a musicians' union license though
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh of course
Agatha Macbeth: You wouldn't be a proper musician otherwise
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Like they say 'any fool can make music with a computer'
Agatha Macbeth: What time did you finish tonight?
    Wol Euler: early! 8:45
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
    Wol Euler: yeah.
Wol Euler: I actually had time to cook dinner.
Agatha Macbeth: You have it too easy sometimes :p
Wol Euler: yeah, I have to remind myself not to get used to that.
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Agatha Macbeth: That's an Eishi dress I take it?
    Wol Euler: mmhmm :)
Wol Euler: a group gift actually.
Agatha Macbeth: How did i guess I wonder?
    Wol Euler: :)
    Wol Euler: can't imagine.
Agatha Macbeth: Needs plenty of room tho
Wol Euler: as many of hers do.
Wol Euler: though not as extreme as Violator
Agatha Macbeth: The fire bit is all round your feet
    Wol Euler: yah
Wol Euler: it's odd how it rides up when I sit
Agatha Macbeth: Makes you look like Joan of Arc
    Wol Euler: hehehehhe
Agatha Macbeth: She was hot stuff
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: candle in the wind
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    --BELL--
Agatha Macbeth: Just got an odd thingy from Aphro
    Wol Euler: mmm?
Wol Euler points to the recorder
Agatha Macbeth: One of those group voice things
    Wol Euler: oh.
Agatha Macbeth: Can't hear anything tho
Agatha Macbeth: I can see her name and Cal's but no-one is saying anything
Wol Euler: can you speak to them?
Agatha Macbeth: No, don't think so
Wol Euler nudges you. have you considerd trying?
Agatha Macbeth: I think she probably pushed something she shouldn't knowing aphro
    Wol Euler: hehehehe
Agatha Macbeth: You do get funny things pop up on the screen from time to time
Agatha Macbeth: Like when someone types in the wrong IM window and you haven't a clue who they are or what they're on about
    Wol Euler: yeah :)
Wol Euler: peple type personal remarks into group chat windows all the time :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Not wise
    Agatha Macbeth coughs
    Wol Euler grins.
Agatha Macbeth: I never do it of course
    Wol Euler: of course not.
Agatha Macbeth: Well there ya go
Agatha Macbeth: Shall we stop the recoder for Fonzie's peace of mind? :p
    Wol Euler: probably best.
    Agatha Macbeth nods
