Wol Euler was guardian for this session, which was punctuated by the mournful bleats of the Listeners failing to find the Play as Being wiki server.

Alfred Kelberry: ...and here i am, your session visitor :)
    Wol Euler cheers.
Alfred Kelberry: so you wouldn't feel lonely :)
Wol Euler: thank you, Alf, I do appreciate that.
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Alfred Kelberry: can't see you yet
    Alfred Kelberry: a cloud
Alfred Kelberry: who do you replace as a guardian?
Wol Euler: nobody, the session is open.
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, ok
Wol Euler: we used to have every session covered, but now there are ... 3 or 4 I think without guardians
Alfred Kelberry: um, can you rebake please? can't see what fancy oufit you have today :)
Wol Euler puts herself in the oven.
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Alfred Kelberry: wol the sweet pie :)
    Wol Euler laughs.
    Wol Euler: wol pie. mmmmmm.
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, please :)
Wol Euler extends a finger for you to chew on.
    Alfred Kelberry: hehe
    Alfred Kelberry: *nom*
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: so, how's life with you?
Alfred Kelberry: there was a talk about a virtual retreat the other day
Alfred Kelberry: i think you were present though
Wol Euler: no, I messed that. Do tell.
Alfred Kelberry: i said that it'd be nice to have a session out in the kira garden. change the setting. see how it's different.
    Wol Euler: mmm?
Alfred Kelberry's PaB Listener: Sorry, the PaB webserver is not responding. Error 499
Wol Euler: stop for a moment, I have to restart the listener
PaB Listener Master: Recording has stopped, the session is ended.
Alfred Kelberry: then someone (i think aph maybe) mentioned a virtual retreat... oh, pab server is down
PaB Listener Master: Recording has started!
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Alfred Kelberry: ok, i'm observed again :)
Wol Euler: I lost power to the laptop and the session got borked
Wol Euler: so, your suggestion to use the garden. And people said?
Alfred Kelberry: lost power? how is it related to pab listener?
Wol Euler: because I'm the only guardian present :)
Wol Euler: so when I leave, there's no session
Wol Euler: so, c'mon, tell me the rest. Virtual retreat in the garden. And?
Alfred Kelberry: well, then somehow virtual retreat came up and we started discussing how it could be done
Alfred Kelberry: like a few hours every day with a small group
    Wol Euler listens.
Alfred Kelberry: do you think it could be useful?
Alfred Kelberry: (pab wiki is down)
    Wol Euler: (hell)
Alfred Kelberry: you keep losing connection?
Wol Euler: no, the wiki is not the autologging recorder :)
    Wol Euler: fortunately
Wol Euler: same server, different process
Alfred Kelberry: can you add parsers in the chatlog handler?
Wol Euler: sure, but to do what?
Wol Euler: the general answer is "yes", but hte details may be tricky.
Alfred Kelberry: make a word map, for example :)
Wol Euler: there are external websites that do that, personally I would not want to duplicate that effort.
Alfred Kelberry: not duplicate, but automate :)
    Wol Euler is lazy.
Wol Euler's PaB Listener: Sorry, the PaB webserver is not responding. Error 499
Wol Euler: ok, *now* the listener is borked.
    Wol Euler sighs
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Wol Euler: lemme write an e-mail
    Wol Euler: back
    Wol Euler kicks hte server.
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Alfred Kelberry: it's gone for good? :)
PaB Listener Master: Recording has stopped, the session is ended.
    Alfred Kelberry: aha
PaB Listener Master: Recording has started!
    Wol Euler: we keep trying.
Wol Euler: just like in RL, really.
Alfred Kelberry: did fael investigate what causes wiki to halt?
Alfred Kelberry: (i still can't see you)
Alfred Kelberry: it's ok, i can still see the beauty of your cloud :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: hello qt
    Qt Core: Hi Wol, Alfred
Alfred Kelberry: qt the spice man!
Alfred Kelberry: qt, can you see woly?
    Qt Core: no, she's cloudy
    Alfred Kelberry: yea, same here
    Wol Euler pouts.
    Alfred Kelberry: *tickles you*
    Wol Euler giggles cloudily.
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Qt Core: and that's sad as she usually have great or at least "intreresting" outfits
    Wol Euler: huh
Alfred Kelberry: i like your careful choice of the word "interesting" :)
Qt Core: it seems that people partied here lately...
Alfred Kelberry: yay! she's visible! :)
    Qt Core: she's visible!
    Wol Euler waves
Alfred Kelberry: cute butterfly dreass :)
Alfred Kelberry: oh, funny typo :)
    Wol Euler: :)
Alfred Kelberry: i didn't really think of... well, nevermind :)
Qt Core: stop digging your own hole, Alf
    Alfred Kelberry: *pokes*
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Wol Euler: you can think of my ass anytime you like, Alf :)
Alfred Kelberry: oh, thank you :)
    Wol Euler grins.
Wol Euler: Qt, did you have any thoughts on Play as Being overnight?
Qt Core: did Agatha sl halflife improved outside this sim, Wol ? i found it a little slow yesterday ?
Wol Euler: she had a bad day, kept crashing out
Qt Core: maybe too much of this champagne
    Wol Euler: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: bubbly liquid
Qt Core: too near to the fountain, watered down wine is sad (even for someone that don't usually like it)
Alfred Kelberry's PaB Listener: Sorry, the PaB webserver is not responding. Error 499
    Wol Euler: :(
    Qt Core: 499 ?
Wol Euler: a HTTP error code.
Qt Core: yes, but the 99 part i don;t remember what means
Wol Euler: not something I know about, I just tell that to the server maintenance crew.
Alfred Kelberry: which is fael? :)
Wol Euler's PaB Listener: Sorry, the PaB webserver is not responding. Error 499
Alfred Kelberry: btw, if it's coming from lsl httprequest it may not be what the server actually says
Qt Core: 499 is not coded in the http standard, but it's still of the 400 code family, the error family
Wol Euler: according to the source I pinched that code segment from, it means "the webserver is not responding"
Alfred Kelberry: yes, qt. it's domain specific code.
    Wol Euler shrugs
Wol Euler: they specifically tested for that number
Qt Core: most 4xx means that just for different reason... as always many error are possible while only one right thing is :-)
Alfred Kelberry: if lsl got that right, it should fall into this description: http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/...0.html#sec10.4
Alfred Kelberry: someone has to ssh to the wiki box :)
    Wol Euler: yep
Wol Euler: mailing about that right now
Qt Core: if yu thinks about programs/computer as living entitiesd some of those error are quite funny, as Conflict/expectation failed/not acceptable :-)
Alfred Kelberry: stormy mentioned that mindtouch (wiki's software) is leaking badly. it might be the problem.
Qt Core: http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/anth...phization.html (from one of the best thing you can read online)
Alfred Kelberry: qt, i have a list of errors from the old programs. quite enterteining :)
Alfred Kelberry: ah, jargon file. yes.
Qt Core: i'm easily amused by them, i even laugh at the ones spat out by programs i wrote
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Qt Core: i thjink that in language like italian where there is no neuter gender anthropomorphization is even easier
Wol Euler: I was always amused by the unix expression "normal successful completion"
Alfred Kelberry: qt, i didn't know. interesting.
Wol Euler: I wonderd what "normal unsuccessful completion" or "abnormal successful completion" would look like
Qt Core: but i never saw an exceptional successful completition
Qt Core: just mentioning the pc in italian you state its gender as articles are gendered (even if ending in r the word seem to not have one)
    Wol Euler: huh
Wol Euler: so there is no "it" in Italian?
    Wol Euler: hello yaku
    Alfred Kelberry: yaku :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning
Qt Core: no, even if "esso" is the nearest thing, but it is still male
    Wol Euler: hmmmmm
Alfred Kelberry: this is the source of italian temper :)
    Wol Euler: must be
    --BELL--
Qt Core: that's why you can see me type an her/his she/he when not asppropriate in english
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Alfred Kelberry: i really like how she and he is the same in finnish
Qt Core: this gender thing may make people learning italian crazy, when word like egg is male at the singular and female at plural ;-)
Alfred Kelberry: it's like an opposite, which you can also see in culture
    Alfred Kelberry: brb
Qt Core: that's becouse with all the clothing you have to wear there you don't know if he/she is a he or a she... but you know he/she has a gender so ihe/she is not an it ;-)
Wol Euler: are all plurals female?
    Qt Core: no
    Wol Euler: heh
Qt Core: only a few special cases are like that
Wol Euler: calvino has restarted the server, we seem to be recording. but everything before 01:57 was lost
Wol Euler: (not recorded formally, I've got it in my chatlogs)
Alfred Kelberry: wol, did he say what was the reason?
    Wol Euler: no
Qt Core: while i see the usefulness i don't like the idea of people keeping log (strangely especially of local chat)
Wol Euler: I've asked for a formal meeting in-world of the wiki team
    Alfred Kelberry: cal :)
    Wol Euler: good morning cal
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey cal
    Qt Core: Hi Cal
Alfred Kelberry: qt, guardians can remove your messages from the log
    Calvino Rabeni: Hello !
Alfred Kelberry: cal, tell us, what happened with the server? :)
Qt Core: no, i'm speaking about single avs, not the log
    Wol Euler: well :)
Wol Euler: I've always recorded everything, sorry to say, chat and IM, as soon as I figured out how to do that.
Wol Euler: So much of conversation gets lost here, especially in philosophy groups
Qt Core: np, it is just my opinion ;-)
Wol Euler: I often find things that I entirely missed at the time, when I re-read a log
Calvino Rabeni: The server was "down" but we don't know why it sometimes happens.
Alfred Kelberry: qt, if it may make you feel better, lindens can potentially see and save everything you do in-world :)
    Wol Euler nods.
Calvino Rabeni: Then when we find out, we reboot it
Qt Core: maybe it is only bad experience, as most of the saving i had to do in my online histoty is when argumwents start to go heated
Calvino Rabeni: There may be some strategies we can work out
Calvino Rabeni: in a meeting of the wiki group
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: let me just amend that group notice, then :)
Alfred Kelberry: cal, could it be mindtouch memory leak?
Alfred Kelberry: do you monitor processes on the server?
Alfred Kelberry: monit is a nice tool
Calvino Rabeni: It could be a memory leak. we monitor the memory - often it gets nearly full and then recovers
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: Playas being is pretty easy going, isn't it ... hardly ever any heated arguments ...
    Qt Core: time to go
Calvino Rabeni: although sometimes we "play as arguing"
Wol Euler: since we lost Mary and Samuel :)
    Qt Core: luckily yes :-
Wol Euler: bye qt, enjoy hte day
Qt Core: have fun... and logs
Wol Euler is the log lady!
Wol Euler: (a Twin Peaks reference)
    Alfred Kelberry: mary and samuel?
    Alfred Kelberry: oh...
Wol Euler: argumentative people who don't come by any more
    Alfred Kelberry: :/
    Alfred Kelberry: ok :)
Alfred Kelberry: is there a list of all new wikis somewhere?
    Wol Euler: maybe :)
Wol Euler: they breed like rabbits, though
Wol Euler: it would be a good idea.
Alfred Kelberry: i mean those moved to pab server
    Wol Euler: same answer ;)
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: oni!
    Wol Euler: heheeh
    --BELL--
    Alfred Kelberry: stop
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Wol Euler: :)
    Wol Euler smiles and stretches.
    Alfred Kelberry: meep-meep
Wol Euler leans back and presses Alf's "jump" button.
Alfred Kelberry: do i have one? :)
Alfred Kelberry: oh, i guess i do :)
Wol Euler: I can write a new one on you :)
    Wol Euler: reprogrammable machines :)
Wol Euler: well, the conversation seems to have reached a natural end, so I'll switch off the recorder.
