         Yakuzza Lethecus: hey arch
Archmage Atlantis: Hi Riddle, Hi, Yaku :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, it´s fine, a bit tired and unfocused

Riddle Sideways: (need small help... viewer v2 chat window is in verbose and undesired mode
Riddle Sideways: how do I change it
Yakuzza Lethecus: sry, i am in phoenix :(
Archmage Atlantis: My answer to that challenge Riddle, was to give up on v2 and change to phoenix.
Riddle Sideways: ok, but not right now
Archmage Atlantis: I spent too much precious time struggling with v2.
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
Riddle Sideways: I don't usually struggle with it.
    Riddle Sideways: works pretty good
Riddle Sideways: good morning, Bruce and Lugh
          Yakuzza Lethecus: hey lugh,bruce
          Lugh Fehr: heyy people :)
         Lugh Fehr: brb
Archmage Atlantis: Hi Bruce. Hi Lugh.
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Yaku, Riddle, Arch, and Lugh.
Bertram Jacobus: hy everybody ... :-)
         Satia Ruby: hello. all :)
Riddle Sideways: Hi Bert and Satia
Archmage Atlantis: Hello Bert, Satia :)
         Satia Ruby: riddle, archmage, :)
Lugh Fehr: hey people that just arived
             Re: Bruce's Tree Avatar
Lugh Fehr: bruce your not a cultivator your cultivated
    Lugh Fehr: hehhe
Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Bert and Satia.
         Satia Ruby: hi bruce
Bertram Jacobus: bruce - may be i missed it : why are you a tree ? :-)
         Yakuzza Lethecus: hi bert,satia
         Satia Ruby: yakuzza^^
Riddle Sideways: am guessing tree is for the photo booth
Bruce Mowbray: I am soon returning to my usual. . . just a second -- need to put on pants -- then I will answer your question.
Riddle Sideways: to photo the true bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, Riddle is right. I was trying out the tree for the Art of Being project in the dome.
Bertram Jacobus: i like the tree - would like it most with blub i think ... ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: Ooopss- Thanks for reminding me to wake up Blub.
Archmage Atlantis: Hmmm, not sure which of myselves is the "true" me
Bertram Jacobus: and ah oke ty bruce :-9
Riddle Sideways: will blub not join tree?
Bruce Mowbray: agreers with Arch -- Too many selves to name just one as the "true me."
    Bruce Mowbray: agrees*
Riddle Sideways: sorry, "true" was not correct word. Should have said "what you ARE"
Lugh Fehr: blub - cry or whine with snuffling
    Lugh Fehr: hehhe
Bertram Jacobus: you think, bruce is more a tree then a human riddle ?? :-)
Archmage Atlantis: Blub is Bruce's companion....as Koya is mine
    Archmage Atlantis: Blub is aquatic
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Riddle Sideways: yes, the Bruce spirit is tree
Bruce Mowbray thinks it best to give Blub a lebel for a while.
Bertram Jacobus: interesting - how can you know ?! :-)
    Bruce Mowbray: Blub
Bruce Mowbray Bruce agrees that his "true spirit" is more tree than human.
Lugh Fehr: koya is quatic and blub is earthish
    Lugh Fehr: ?
Lugh Fehr: or m i completly of track?
Riddle Sideways: Satia, what about Lazy?
    Satia Ruby: my cat?
Riddle Sideways: and cats just are
    Satia Ruby: yep :D
                      --BELL--
Lugh Fehr:why these 90 sec of silence?
Riddle's short explanation is not correct and also goes wrong.
Riddle Sideways: the 90 sec silence was a compromise made maybe a year ago. Between the ppl that wanted mediation circles and the chatty folk
Riddle Sideways: many wanted a group meditation
Lugh Fehr: heheheh :D you realy are crazy ppl
Satia Ruby: hehe i though the same for a moment :D
Archmage Atlantis: TY, Lugh, I take that as a complement *g*
Lugh Fehr: i meant it that way ;)
    Archmage Atlantis: :)

Riddle Sideways: all day long we (might) do little 9 sec moments
Bruce Mowbray: It might be interesting to go around the circle and say what the 90-sec breaks mean to each of us.
Riddle Sideways: wanted a little more here
Bertram Jacobus: i would say it even a bit more simple perhaps : not (always) "meditating" but simply : stopping -

Bruce Mowbray: Sometimes it's an opportunity to refill the coffee cup. . .
Bruce Mowbray: sometimes it's a profound regrouping. . . and a celebration of Basic Goodness.
Lugh Fehr: somthims its irritating hehhe
Riddle Sideways: sometimes check email. Sometimes go into deep trance. Some___s go elsewhere
Riddle Sideways: seems hard to loss that T__e word
    Bertram Jacobus: have a break
Bertram Jacobus: when the 90 seconds bell rings :-)

Riddle Sideways: it is not a forced break moment. Each can do or not do
    Bertram Jacobus: i like it
Riddle Sideways: but, should respect those that do
Lugh Fehr: i thought it was somthing to do whit the recording
Bertram Jacobus: brings peace and tranquillity to me ... in a way
Bertram Jacobus: i don´t suffer from a lack of action i could say ;-)
Riddle Sideways: yes Bert, me either.
Bertram Jacobus: but longer periods, as you said, riddle - may not feel comfortable for everybody here - but there are many places and times elsewhere in sl where one can have that
Riddle Sideways: is an added feature to the fountain clock keeper
          Bertram Jacobus: hy hokon :-)
          Lugh Fehr: hey hokon
          Riddle Sideways: Hi Hokon
          Hokon Cazalet waves to all
          Satia Ruby: Hi Hokon
          Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Hokon.
Bertram Jacobus: (afternoon here lol) :o)
Bruce Mowbray: Hey Hokon -- We've been sharing our personal thoughts/feelings and uses of the 90-sec breaks.
    Bruce Mowbray: How about you?
Hokon Cazalet: ok cool, ty for updating me on the topic
Riddle Sideways: yes, would be interesting to take a poll of how many do/do not like 90 sec
Hokon Cazalet: i personally like it
Hokon Cazalet: helps to keep discussion from speeding too far ahead
         Yakuzza Lethecus: hokin
    Hokon Cazalet: yes?
         Riddle Sideways: Hi Eliza
         Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone :)
         Lugh Fehr: hey eliza
    Hokon Cazalet: =)
         Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: wow, big group today :)

Bertram Jacobus: yes. and for me it´s like bruce explained : sometimes this, sometimes that - but i appreciate it always ... and yes again : because it takes often too much action off of the talks ...
        Bertram Jacobus: hi eliza :-)
         Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: Hi Eliza...., I missed your entrance :)
                          --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: many times the chat is zooming along and it is nice to slowdown and reflect on what was said and means
    Hokon Cazalet: yup
Bruce Mowbray: . . . and sometimes to use that 90 seconds to IM someone.
Archmage Atlantis: I had never thought of the moderating effect of the break before, but I agree.....Other meetings then to rush ahead.....this one holds together better.
Hokon Cazalet: ive been to other discussion spots in sl, and sometimes the text starts going too fast, people begin to loose track what has been said
    Archmage Atlantis: *tene
    Lugh Fehr: true
    Archmage Atlantis: *tend
Bruce Mowbray: I have a regular meditation practice in RL, so the 90-secs is often a brief "re-collection" of my earlier "sitting" in RL.
Bruce Mowbray: Nice to have the recapitulation -- and remembrance of that.
Eliza Madrigal nods... yes nice way to put that Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: we're rarely 'more' satisfied by more words...

Lugh Fehr: well can i ask somthing off topic?
    Bruce Mowbray: sure.
Bertram Jacobus: i think yes lugh
Bertram Jacobus: always i would guess ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Lugh Fehr: seems simple enugh but i thinck no has the answer
Lugh Fehr: what makes somthing funny you know what couse a laugh?
Bruce Mowbray takes a close-up view of the suspended talking stick.
Bruce Mowbray: What causes anyone to laugh at something?
    Lugh Fehr: yes

Eliza Madrigal: surprise, would be my first thought
Archmage Atlantis: Interesting, Lugh, there are serveral serious studies of that......and a few books that one can read.
Hokon Cazalet: that is a complex topic, i would say unexpected associations that end up making sense is part of it, suprising paradoxes

         http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special...Index/Laughter
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laughter and the further reading sub-section.
         http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelotology.

Archmage Atlantis: There are many things others find laughable that I do not.
Lugh Fehr: but still if someone falls over youd laugh somtimes and you somthimes luagh when some tells you that someone died or somthing you try to hide it but still you luagh
Bertram Jacobus: and often that seems to be a so to say "transformator" : people luagh when someting difficult happens and make it that way more easy (!) ... :-)
Archmage Atlantis: Like Hokon said, complex.
Eliza Madrigal: hm, yeah there can be a kind of confusion in there often
Hokon Cazalet: thats true also bert
Riddle Sideways remebers many Star Treks epis with Data trying to understand laughter
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe riddle
Lugh Fehr: you luagh when you bumb your head
Riddle Sideways: you laugh when others bump their heads
Lugh Fehr: you luagh when you get tickeled
Hokon Cazalet: hehe not me; thats another thing too that makes it difficult to determine the cause, it seems subjective/relative per person, to find the root cause(s) would be hard
Hokon Cazalet: not me @ bumping my head
Archmage Atlantis: Many ppl who laugh when tickled find it painful
    Bertram Jacobus giggles (!) :o)
Lugh Fehr: hehehe death of a clown
Hokon Cazalet: yeah the laughter with tickling is involuntary, probably more physiological
Bertram Jacobus: whaow - cool bruce - ty ! :-)
Eliza Madrigal: oh goodness... reminds me of mary tyler more episode...
    Eliza Madrigal: chuckles the clown

         http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuckles_the_Clown
         http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuckles_Bites_the_Dust

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: and the laugh when you do not understand, but everybody else laughed
Lugh Fehr: you luagh when you talk about sex quit shyfully
    Riddle Sideways: quit shyfully :)
    Lugh Fehr: a bit shyfully
Lugh Fehr: talk about sex whit a parent or someone
Archmage Atlantis: Yes Eliza.......that was a mixture of something funny where we do not normally consider laughter appropriate in general
Archmage Atlantis: That episode is one of the best known
                      --BELL--
Lugh Fehr: is laughing the maximum momentum of a smile fulfiled?
    Riddle Sideways: many times
Lugh Fehr: hehehe delete cokies heh
Riddle Sideways: when JOY overflows and can not be contained
    Hokon Cazalet: lol bruce
Eliza Madrigal: hahaha, like that one, though sadly, CM eats veggies now... cookies only once in a while

Lugh Fehr: and whats the opposit of luaghing if their is anything anyway?
Bertram Jacobus: for me it´s crying
Riddle Sideways: not sure if crying is the complete opposite
Hokon Cazalet: for me i see being somber and resolute as the inverse
Eliza Madrigal: yes, would lean toward Hokon's description... blank
Archmage Atlantis: Good question Lugh.......I would posit any reaction to an unpleasant circumstance
Eliza Madrigal: but not blank as it waiting... indifference I guess
    Eliza Madrigal: it-if
Archmage Atlantis: Indifference, yes......but also anger, rage
Hokon Cazalet: well my notion with being somber/resolute, had to do with seriousness, and facing something head-on that is dangerous
Hokon Cazalet: unlike laughter where one relaxes, hangs back, sorta checks out of reality for a bit to have fun
Eliza Madrigal: hm.. rage has a feeling of life even, as crying as laughing...
Archmage Atlantis: resolute, yest that also
Riddle Sideways: laughter has many sides. So, inverse must also
    Hokon Cazalet: id agree riddle
Hokon Cazalet: thats a good popint
    Archmage Atlantis: Agree Riddle
Eliza Madrigal: well that's settled, lol
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
    Hokon Cazalet: =)
Riddle Sideways: almost, maybe, could be, well not really
    Hokon Cazalet: lol
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
Bruce Mowbray: I must be off to Rl farm chores now. May all have a happy and perhaps humorous day!
    Hokon Cazalet: =)
    Hokon Cazalet: byes
    Bruce Mowbray dies from laughing....
    Hokon Cazalet: lol
    Riddle Sideways: onigokko
        Bertram Jacobus: bye bruce ...
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
         Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bruce
    Satia Ruby: Aah!
         Riddle Sideways: bye Bruce
    Satia Ruby: stop
Archmage Atlantis: The problem arises from one word, "laughter", having many expressions of meaning
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bruce :) haha... RIddle no fair to do that when you aren't wearing one...
    Hokon Cazalet: onigokko
Bertram Jacobus: lol - he sends us running :o)
Riddle Sideways: was just checking who was wearing
    Hokon Cazalet: stop
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: It's sort of like the Eskimos having dozens for words for snow, whereas there is only one in English
Eliza Madrigal: I'm off to sit in an SL meditation for a bit... thanks for the nice conversation
Bertram Jacobus: bye eliza ! *wave* ...
         Hokon Cazalet: bye eliza =)
         Yakuzza Lethecus: take care eliza
Archmage Atlantis: Bye Eliza.......I'm must go also.....have a good time period all :)
