The Guardian for this meeting was Gaya Ethaniel. The comments are by Gaya Ethaniel.

Gaya Ethaniel: Let's give a couple more minutes if ok with you.
    Bruce Mowbray: sure . . .
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Eliza :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: (Apologies... chaos and didn't realize was last friday of month!)
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Brian :) Welcome to PlayasBeing. Have you been here before?
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Brian, nice to see you again
    Brian Roop: hello all
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Brain. welcome back and THANK YOU for your comment about last night's session.
Brian Roop: i'm not much on sitting on what i think
Bruce Mowbray: and I am GLAD that you're not.
Bruce Mowbray: May I share you comment with Gaya and Eliza -- in an IM?
Eliza Madrigal would appreciate that muchly
    Brian Roop: yes
Bruce Mowbray: thanks, Brian. Here I go -- giving IM's to both Gaya and Eliza. . .
Gaya Ethaniel: Alright, I can spare you from our introduction :) But this session is Dream Circle ...
Bruce Mowbray: THIS is the Dream Circle? I thought that was in the Cafe. Sorry!
Eliza Madrigal: AH, thanks Brian. Yes.. much discussion re that topic over the last week or so
Bruce Mowbray: ok. . . Let's continue with the Dream Circle -- Didn't realize this was the venue. sry.
Gaya Ethaniel: I've just given you a short introduction about this session. Please IM me if you have any questions.
Eliza Madrigal: Dream workshop is in Kira, dream circle is here once a month. I usually send notice and was remiss :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Do you have any dreams you would like to share Brian?
    Brian Roop: may i pass?
Gaya Ethaniel: Sure that's ok, just checking how many of us have dreams today ... ?
    Brian Roop: wasn't prepared
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Yaku :)
    Brian Roop: hello yaku
Alfred Kelberry: *peeks from behind the bushes*
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Alfred :)
    Alfred Kelberry: hello :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Alfred and Ya
Alfred Kelberry: bunny, nice to see you :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey alf
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I am looking through file for a dream....
Gaya Ethaniel: OK let me share a dream then we can go around the circle counter clockwise ...
Eliza Madrigal: I dream and write one almost every night... but some involved and long... hm....
    Eliza Madrigal: Great :)
Alfred Kelberry: it's a lovely starry night in sl again
Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Alfred, Yaku, and Bert.
Gaya Ethaniel: Wearing a white dress ... looking down at it, there are about a dozen of dark coloured creatures studded around the skirt part, forming a regular pattern. Though they are tied onto the outfit, the creatures often move wildly about, gesticulating. They seem to be talking or arguing with each other.
Gaya Ethaniel passes the stone to Bruce.
Bruce Mowbray: Bruces passes the stone to Eliza.
Brian Roop passes the stone to yaku

    --BELL--

    Brian Roop: sorry, misread
Alfred Kelberry: *realizes it's a dream session*
Eliza Madrigal: thank you. I was requested, and got into a deep black river... holding on to a friend. We began to travel down this river... slower and slower moving water. Then I realized there were alligators in the water and their snouts were getting very close. One was small and I was bothered...a little worried but not too much. Later there was a very large alligator whose snout was right on my leg. He could have eaten me in one chomp! Any second! So far he wasn't... so far he was just touching his snout to my leg to let me know he was there. :)
Eliza Madrigal: pass to alfred :)
Bertram Jacobus (sits only aside, listening and whispers - sry for ma late reaction : hy all - no need to respond , ty) :-)
Alfred Kelberry: um... *passes to yaku*
Yakuzza Lethecus: passes the stone to brian
Brian Roop passes the stone to gaya
Gaya Ethaniel: I will tell my dream again for the circle to comment in order now.
Bruce Mowbray is thinking carefully about Gaya's dream -- and passes the stone to Eliza.
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: we can go around twice perhaps.... I'm struck first by the contrast of white dress, and dark creatures....
Eliza Madrigal: we've been discussing equanimity and maybe white dress seems like space or page
Eliza Madrigal: and creatures talking seems like dialog... or story line...
    Eliza Madrigal: pass to Alfred
Alfred Kelberry: um, sorry... *passes to yaku*
Yakuzza Lethecus is passing to brian
Brian Roop: /me, who has little idea what to make of all this, passes to gaya
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce Mowbray wonders if the "dark figures" who are gesticulating and arguing with each other - might be various "facets" of a situation that are vying for Gaya's attention . . . (assuming that it's Gaya who is wearing white. . . ) They might be sub-texts or sub-issues that want to be considered but are not yet in Gaya's full consciousness.
Gaya Ethaniel: Thank you :) Passing the stone to Bruce.
Bruce Mowbray: sry -- I jumped the gun there.
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I know that in my own "mind" there are many different "selves."
Yakuzza Lethecus thinks about the suggestion that inner circle is active and outer circle is passive and jumps in as soon as something appears on the mind ?
Bruce Mowbray: and that these sometimes seem in conflict with each other.
Bruce Mowbray: and that part of my "work" is to bring an audience and honor to all of them. So, was thinking that this might be going on with Gaya as well.
Bruce Mowbray: Passes the stone to Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: ty Bruce ... I find myself 'reading into' this dream a bit... picturing the creatures in a funny and friendly way....
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: they are busy and argumentative.... really wrapped up in their energy with one another....
Eliza Madrigal: and gaya wearing a dress looking down, seems perspective...
    Eliza Madrigal: pass to Alfred
    Alfred Kelberry: *passes to yaku?*
Yakuzza Lethecus: thinks about the suggestion that inner circle is active and outer circle is passive and jumps in as soon as something appears on the mind ?
Gaya Ethaniel: IMed you about it just now Yaku. You were passing the stone around so in effect active. So please feel free comment as it's your turn now.
Yakuzza Lethecus is passing to brian

    --BELL--

Brian Roop: well i did not see the black things as so friendly, maybe it's a bit of paranoia in me, it was like, ok they seem harmless enough now but why are they there really?
Brian Roop passes the stone to gaya
Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks :) Passing the stone to Bruce.
Bruce Mowbray sees some similarities between Eliza's "alligators" and Gaya's little dark, argumentative entities . . . (both are "lower" and both seem to me "characters" in their own right - although minor ones, perhaps.
Bruce Mowbray: Passes stone to Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: yes I have to laugh a bit at the similarity... I didn't read gaya's before choosing mine :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: also wonder if it feels a bit like our session this morning... slightly chaotic, gaya seems calm in the midst...haha
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hm, chat disappeared... hope I don't crash
Eliza Madrigal: I was requested, and got into a deep black river... holding on to a friend. :)
    Eliza Madrigal: pass to alfred
    Alfred Kelberry: *passes to yaku*
    Yakuzza Lethecus: *passes to brian*
Brian Roop: since we often wake up right as the dream seems about to overtake us, i wonder if the alligator doesn't represent some issue that's being put off, if not take care of would up and bite one good.
Brian Roop: sorry about the typos, spazzy fingers
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Brian Roop passes the stone to gaya
Gaya Ethaniel: The dreamer is navigating a dark river with a friend. Dark ... many unknowns in it ... perhaps like a life but she's travelling with a friend :) Interaction with different sized alligators .... like Brian said, it can go either way ... the dream is rich with many symbols perhaps.
Gaya Ethaniel passes the stone to Bruce.
Bruce Mowbray thinks that the "large alligator" that could "eat me in one chomp" is something that hovers (or swims beneath) in everyone's life -- The fear of "what horrible things might happen" -- and also that we live in a world increasingly obsessed with and informed by fear. . .
Bruce Mowbray: perhaps the dream world is an opportunity to "deal" with these fears in a healthy way.
Bruce Mowbray: passes the stone to Eliza.
Brian Roop embarrassed at accidental logout
    Gaya Ethaniel: wb
    Bruce Mowbray: wb, Brian.
Eliza Madrigal: thanks everyone ) wb brian
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: The formal part has ended so please everyone feel free to talk about the dreams or anything else in any order :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks for the comments about my dream :)
Eliza Madrigal: an overall comment is that I was thinking more about yaku's sense of inner and outer circle...
Eliza Madrigal: a dress is a circle pattern....

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: one is centered in it
Gaya Ethaniel: That's an interesting point.
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, it was a purely technical suggestions for the dreamcircle, that only those ppl in the inner circle are active and anyone can get in and out at any time so that no waiting would accure if someone is shortly afk or doesn't have something at mind to that dream
Bruce Mowbray: So, the dream itself might be a sort of mandala?
Yakuzza Lethecus: but it wasn't the right time for that suggestion in the middle of the session :P
    Eliza Madrigal: yes...
    Eliza Madrigal: mandala...
    Brian Roop: hmmmm
Eliza Madrigal: :) Ya... well it surprisingly has relevance perhaps ...
Eliza Madrigal: randomness is amazing :)
Brian Roop: perhaps the forces of disorder nibbling at an orderly mind
    Eliza Madrigal: !
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce Mowbray: That's OK, Yaku -- I felt your suggestion was quite consistent with the flow of the - - (agrees with Eliza.)
Brian Roop: i found no prob with it and yu are all getting to know how picky picky picky i can be
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: I would like to say too that the sense of the alligator as opportunity is something I feel about the dream
    Eliza Madrigal: but didn't say
Eliza Madrigal: a kind of gravity
Brian Roop: opportunity for the alligator?
    Brian Roop: yum yum
Brian Roop: sorry, off the point
Bruce Mowbray: more re "opportunities" -- A recent NOVA program featured a dream scientist who says that dreams are "rehearsals" for what might happen in the waking life -
Bertram Jacobus: title yellow now and then afk
    Eliza Madrigal: haha Brian
Yakuzza Lethecus imagines to drop all his negative thoughts as food for the alligators
Bruce Mowbray: and that if we can practice with these possibilities through our dreams, then we will have better chances of survival when the real thing happens.
    Eliza Madrigal: Nice Bruce, yes...
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes true, there is eating the alligator option too :P
Eliza Madrigal: I wonder about the relation of the two
Bruce Mowbray: That scientist was a Darwinian, of course -- so he felt that he needed to find a "survival-enhancing" reason for our dreaming -- and for our physical paralysis during the dreaming state.
Eliza Madrigal: I was surprised not to be more bothered by the small alligator, hah... and it made me a little arrogant in the dream like "oh, I'm not afraid of alligators"
Eliza Madrigal: til the big one was there :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Bruce Mowbray likes the idea of "eating the alligator."
Gaya Ethaniel: Next time perhaps you won't be :)
Eliza Madrigal has eaten alligator before.... yummy sauteed but not fried.. those days are over tho.
Brian Roop: if dreams are to prepare us for what might happen, we'd best not count on eating a live gator
Eliza Madrigal: didn't seem like I could make friends with it either
Eliza Madrigal: or that my friend could keep it from me
Brian Roop: reptiles don't make friends
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Brian Roop: only interests
Gaya Ethaniel: I guess we can't be friends with every things ... some things at best we just respect own space.
    Eliza Madrigal: :) respect, nice
Alfred Kelberry: i don't think dreams are fortune tellers
Brian Roop: respect yes, friendship no
    Alfred Kelberry: hi, Visitor
Eliza Madrigal: well they can help us to see how we relate to things
Brian Roop: i think dreams are mostly about stuff we're not addressing in waking life
Gaya Ethaniel: That's why you saw alligators maybe ... wild animals that need respect for own space.
Eliza Madrigal: rehearsals fit though.... much I could say about that but alas....
Yakuzza Lethecus: but in dreams we can loose our daily thoughts in the dream just the dream exists so it might be easier for us to think through an subject on an unconscious level ?
Eliza Madrigal: I apologize for popping out early, am in a diner and should allow the waitresses more customers :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yes Ya....nodding
Bruce Mowbray wonders about "psychic boundaries" -- and what we let into consciousness, and what we don't, and readiness to accept -- or to "address" in our full consciousness (if there is even such a thing as "full" consciousness.
Gaya Ethaniel: Enjoy your day Eliza :) Thanks for coming.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: take care eliza
    Brian Roop: later, eliza
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: will love to read the log if this conversation continues, thanks so much Gaya for hosting, and everyone for a nice morning :)
Eliza Madrigal: much appreciation and THANKSgiving :)
    Eliza Madrigal: bfn
Bruce Mowbray: Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Eliza!
Bruce Mowbray: It seems to me that a major "reason" for my meditation practice is to come into fuller awareness of those things that I'd "prefer" NOT to be aware of.
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Bruce Mowbray: especially those things that keep persistently coming into dreams. . .
Alfred Kelberry: i think dream's connection to future events is akin to common superstition e.g black cat crossing a street
Bruce Mowbray: or that appear as synchronicities in waking life.
Brian Roop shudders at the thought
Bruce Mowbray: Like those little entities arguing around the base of the skirt.

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: So, it is "good" I feel, that I give these things the attention of the quality that meditation can bring.
Gaya Ethaniel: They were ugly cute types :)
Gaya Ethaniel: oh time to go ... thanks everyone for participating. Please feel free to stay on.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye gaya
    Gaya Ethaniel waves.
    Alfred Kelberry: bye, bunny :)
Brian Roop: i need to go too, thanks gaya and everyone
    Yakuzza Lethecus: take care brian
Bruce Mowbray: OK. I shall also go. May all have a happy day.
Yakuzza Lethecus: pet ur dog from me :)
Alfred Kelberry: that was a lovely face trick, bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray: OK, Yaku. He is lying on the floor right beside me right now!
Yakuzza Lethecus: and give him something extra for thanksgiving :)
Bruce Mowbray: Have a happy day, Yaku and Alfred.
Alfred Kelberry: thanks, you too :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: happy TG bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Bear Dog would love to know you're thinking about hi,.

Alfred Kelberry: i'd like to check it out
Bertram Jacobus: no need but a possibility and a chance for me
Yakuzza Lethecus: can you toss over the lm ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: i have the budda center
    Alfred Kelberry: sure, yaku
Bertram Jacobus: ah. i was not sure which lm and what you both meant now ? the ww1 or meditation ? :-)
Alfred Kelberry: let me find it (if you ask me)

Bertram Jacobus: i think, i'll go that silent meditation now - somebody wants too ?
Alfred Kelberry: yes, bruce. i've noticed... poor aph. any word from her?
Bruce Mowbray: Thank you, Bertram, but I will retire to my Hermitage now.
