Qt Core: doing major updates of your shape/skin/outfit sometimes make me cringe and remember me about the animagus transformation from Harry Potter books :-)

Wol Euler: watching the tiny-av bodycrushers squeeze your shape is disturbing
Qt Core: yes, i've seen that too much when becoming or coming back from the cube

Wol Euler: things that in RL would cause pain or permanent damage are also very disturbing to look at here.
Wol Euler: at least for people who embody in their avs
Wol Euler: I found a russian roulette game table when exploring with some friends. Got a RL anxiety attack from pulling the trigger, even though I survived.
Wol Euler: I had to log off and lie down.

Qt Core: i think i've died here in sl only a couple times and that was in my first months here, don't know how i'll react now, especially if wearing my favorite/more natural outfits
Wol Euler: I'm almost used to dieing in WoW :)
Wol Euler: it happens so often, and I am so little embodied there, that it has little impact. I'm more annoyed about the six minute delay before reviving than about dieing as such.
Qt Core: never played online rpg, i fear i'll spend too much time there (obviously the only i would be interested is star trek online ;-) )
Qt Core: and the one i fearr the most too ;-)

Qt Core: the multiplayer games i play/played the most online are mahjong and texas hold them, NO MONEY INVOLVED for both

Wol Euler: that must be quite different to this or to ST online, though I imagine that it too could get addictive
Qt Core: a few months ago i found a mahjong playing table and not the solitaire version, in a japan sim i wonder how it survived the gambling ban
Wol Euler: perhaps because there was no money involved? otherwise it *should* have been banned
Qt Core: obviously the table itself didn't manage money, but still it managed the points
Qt Core: and you can really lose money fast in mahjong
