Freud Jungsten: So no topic for today?
    --BELL--
Freud Jungsten: So a question then.. does anyone use any other cyber worlds like OPen LIfe?
Wol Euler: World of Warcraft :) but that doesn't really count
    Freud Jungsten: lol
Yakuzza Lethecus: no, but for example before we were talking about the possibilite of an inworld retreat before
    Lugh Fehr: nope
Wol Euler: I registered on a few other VWs, found them all disapo
Freud Jungsten: I tried that but found it abit too odd even for me.
Wol Euler: disappointing in various ways compared to SL
Yakuzza Lethecus: i don´t use inworlds or other opensim grids
    Yakuzza Lethecus: *inworldz
    Freud Jungsten: I likeOpenlife.
Lugh Fehr: is it like sl?
Freud Jungsten: Lots of teh same functions... but far less crowded.. lots of folks liek to build there.
    Wol Euler: http://openlifegrid.com/
Freud Jungsten: Very much like SL.
Wol Euler: sounds very much like a SL based open grid
    Freud Jungsten: It is.
Lugh Fehr: ill try it hehehe what the hell pospon rl a bit moor hehehe
Yakuzza Lethecus: are there enough freebies ?
    Freud Jungsten: I enjoy it.
Yakuzza Lethecus: how do they solve the ,,no voice" issue
Wol Euler: do htey have an economy?
Freud Jungsten: Ther are a good amoount.. but not nearly the stock or quality of freebies as SL>
    Freud Jungsten: Yes.
Freud Jungsten: No vice as of yet.
Yakuzza Lethecus: what kind of groups are there to participate in, especially on ,,philosophy/psychology/contemplative" ?
    Freud Jungsten: They have credits.
Freud Jungsten: No idea on that one.
Freud Jungsten: You could start one.... lol
Freud Jungsten: Just something to explore.
Lugh Fehr: is it laggy hehe like sl?
Freud Jungsten: Thefolks that really love it that I know are really the builders.
Freud Jungsten: As you can get a full sime for 70 a month with 20,000 prims.
Freud Jungsten: It is much less laggy for me.
Freud Jungsten: As folks dont' walk around with huge ARC AVs.
Lugh Fehr: ill just might have to move then hehe
Freud Jungsten: I am Carla St_Margaret if you get there.
    Freud Jungsten: Look me up.
Lugh Fehr: kk ill save the name
Wol Euler: um, do you want that published on our wiki, or should we edit it out of the log?
Freud Jungsten: I don't care either way.
    Wol Euler: just checking :)
Freud Jungsten: Thank you so much for asking though.
    Lugh Fehr: hihihi
Freud Jungsten: What do you think of WoW?
Freud Jungsten: I could never get the feel for it.
Freud Jungsten: FElt much more like a video game to me.
Wol Euler: it took me a long while to get into it
Wol Euler: my fourth character, to be exact :)
Freud Jungsten: And I am sooooooo not a gamergirl.
Wol Euler: it took me that long to figure out what it was for :)
Wol Euler: and yeh, it is just a game in the way that SL is exactly not a game
Wol Euler: but it has its own pleasures
Wol Euler: the killing does get monotonous though
Freud Jungsten: Gratuitus violence and titilation?
Lugh Fehr: hehe open life is a parralel univers
    Wol Euler: no titilation, alas.
Freud Jungsten: YOu in it right now?
    Wol Euler: and no conversation
    Freud Jungsten: Oh..
Lugh Fehr: nah just saw pics
Freud Jungsten: That would rot for me though.
Freud Jungsten: I am mainly in SL to chat.
Wol Euler: yeah, people don't talk at all in WoW
Lugh Fehr: ever heard of mining craft
    Freud Jungsten: Boring.
    Freud Jungsten: lol
    Lugh Fehr: yeah
    Freud Jungsten: No.
Yakuzza Lethecus: a couple of my friends are playing ,,EVE online"
Lugh Fehr: mining craft is boaring or the fact that they dont chat in wow
Freud Jungsten: I geuss everyone has their own tastes in virtual worlds.
Freud Jungsten: I don't know about mining craft.
Yakuzza Lethecus: but i try to stay away from mmogs
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s facinating what some ppl have created in mincraft
Freud Jungsten: Fascinating the things have come up wth in SL... lol
    Wol Euler: :)
Freud Jungsten: I saw a sperm AV the other day... not that I wanted to see it though... ick.
    Wol Euler: heheheh
    Lugh Fehr: hehehe cool
Wol Euler: I#ve seen used condom avs :)
Freud Jungsten: But there are some very beutiful sims in SL.
    Lugh Fehr: heheh
    Freud Jungsten: Ick... lol
    Freud Jungsten: ANdsomeugly.
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, i remember a guy telling me that he created an penis race in the game ,,spore"
Lugh Fehr: whats the most butiful sim in sl?
Yakuzza Lethecus: and he got banned for that later on
    Wol Euler: :)
    Freud Jungsten: Not sure.
Wol Euler: depends on what you want to see, lugh
Freud Jungsten: I used to love Wales
    --BELL--
    Freud Jungsten: And Sanctum Sanctorum.
Wol Euler: I really like AM Radio's wheatfields, but many find them boring
Freud Jungsten: Both are gone now.
Freud Jungsten: If you can find a sim that Baron Grayson was invoved in it will be breathtaking in its beuty.
    Wol Euler makes a note.
Freud Jungsten: If you can find a sim that Arcadia Asylum was invoved with, it wil be breattaking in its ugly.
    Lugh Fehr: hihihi
Lugh Fehr: what the most crazy thing you saw i sl?
Freud Jungsten: If you get a chance... ther is an Arcadia Asylum library..... great to look at all the stuff she did.
Lugh Fehr: well i guess the used condom is a runner up
    Wol Euler: :)
Freud Jungsten: I joined SL to do a paper on cyber sex.
    Wol Euler: :)
    Lugh Fehr: hehehehe
Wol Euler: did you find any?
Freud Jungsten: The stuff that I just don't get is the Dolcette stuff.
Freud Jungsten: This was back in 2005... was easy to find even then.... lol
    Lugh Fehr: dolcette?
Freud Jungsten: I Think SL was about 3/4 sex then.
    Wol Euler: what is that?
    Lugh Fehr: ??
    Freud Jungsten: http://secondlife.wikia.com/wiki/Dolcett
Freud Jungsten: Warning... you may not want to know.
    Lugh Fehr: hehhehe
    Lugh Fehr: hey ara
Freud Jungsten: I can understand a lot of sexual behavior.... but that is one fantacy set I can't understand.
    Lugh Fehr: creepy
Freud Jungsten: Like German Canible guy sorta.
Lugh Fehr: i cant understand it ... sl sex is so stiupid
    Wol Euler shrugs
Lugh Fehr: better to wacth porn or go whit a rl hooker if anything what buzz is sl sex
Wol Euler: yeah, I won't be going there in a hurry
Freud Jungsten: SO that is about he most odd thing I have seen.

arabella Ella innocently ... have i interrupted anything?
Freud Jungsten: What is the stranges thing you have seen in SL?
Wol Euler: nothing of significance :)
    arabella Ella: ty Wol
Freud Jungsten: And.. do you ever use other virtual worlds?
Wol Euler: ok, I'll grant that one some significance :)
arabella Ella: i dont use other worlds
arabella Ella: and i would be interested to hear the views of others as to the strangest thing they have seen on SL
arabella Ella: what about you Freud?
    Freud Jungsten: lol
    Freud Jungsten: http://secondlife.wikia.com/wiki/Dolcett
arabella Ella: I have had loads of strange experiences but none of them deserve to be mentioned in the wiki
Freud Jungsten: I just don't get it, nor can I understand the mindset.
Lugh Fehr: i have a friend who loves seeing dead people on the internet
Lugh Fehr: the moor macabr the better
    arabella Ella: oh nooooooo Freud
    --BELL--
Freud Jungsten: I joined SL to do a paper on cyber sex.... so I ran into a lot of things I was very un aware of.... lol....
arabella Ella: and did you eventually write the paper Freud?
    Freud Jungsten: I did..
Freud Jungsten: Got an A.... was psych 102 though.
arabella Ella: i bet it must hae been difficult to keep to the word limit :)
    arabella Ella: oh well done!
    Wol Euler: :)
Freud Jungsten: Mainly based on a rather crapy survey I came up with.
Freud Jungsten: But was solid for 102 level work.
arabella Ella: how did you distribute the survey?
Freud Jungsten: WEll... I started just finding random people.
arabella Ella: ok so a sort of convenience sample
    arabella Ella: interesting though
Freud Jungsten: Then I tried to give it to someone that truned out to be a proffesinal reseracher....
Freud Jungsten: Soooo... I got such a lecture.... lol
arabella Ella: what's wrong with that?
arabella Ella: a professional researcher should help others doing research
Freud Jungsten: Then he helped me redo a lot of it and my method to make it better.
Freud Jungsten: Was a great learning expereince.
arabella Ella: ah so help was forthcoming
arabella Ella: oh i have no doubt
    Freud Jungsten: Yes...
    Wol Euler: that#s good
Freud Jungsten: Was ag reat bit of luck.
Freud Jungsten: And got me interested in doing reserach.
Lugh Fehr: what you guys work in rl you all sound well educated
    Lugh Fehr: hehhe
Freud Jungsten: I am in my first semseter for my masters degree.

arabella Ella: that much ... yes very true I agree!
    Wol Euler: :)
arabella Ella: so Freud i am still curious
arabella Ella: you gave us a link to something earlier

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey aga
    Agatha Macbeth: Nabend Yaku
arabella Ella: at least the gale force winds have died down Ags

Agatha Macbeth: Hmm, I must have slept through that
arabella Ella: for those who have not heard there were winds at 75mph last night here
    arabella Ella: ah
Agatha Macbeth: Not quite that bad here
Lugh Fehr: wow i could have flyed
    arabella Ella: oh good
Agatha Macbeth: At least we don't have Michael Fish to say 'what hurricane?'
    arabella Ella: who is he?
Wol Euler: oh did he retire?
Agatha Macbeth: The one who said it in 1987
    arabella Ella: LOL
    Lugh Fehr: hhehehe
Agatha Macbeth: I think so Wol, yes
Lugh Fehr: just gos to show say 1 stupid thing 30 years erlier people still laughing at you hehee
    Wol Euler: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Fish
Agatha Macbeth: No relation to Blub
Wol Euler: He became a subject of infamy in the wake of the Great Storm of 1987; a few hours before the storm broke, on 15 October 1987, he said during a forecast: "Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way... well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!". That evening, the worst storm to hit South East England since 1703 caused record damages and killed 18 people.
    Wol Euler: 7gr
    Wol Euler grins.
    Lugh Fehr: hehehehe
Agatha Macbeth: Half the trees in Kent got blown down
    --BELL--
Yakuzza Lethecus: kind of the english kyrill then
Lugh Fehr: some weater forcaster he is huh hehe
Agatha Macbeth: It was like the aftermath of the Tunguska explosion almost
Wol Euler: I was living in London then, the great parks were devastated
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
Lugh Fehr: better to seek forutune in a fortune cookie
    Agatha Macbeth: It was horrendous
Wol Euler: like somebody had driven a huge bulldozer along a straight line throgh the city, taking down all the big trees
Agatha Macbeth: Roofs blown off houses
    arabella Ella: sounds horrendous
    Agatha Macbeth: It was!
    Wol Euler nods.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yakuzza...7624378453124/
Yakuzza Lethecus: before kyrill there was a closed treeline on top of the picture
arabella Ella: this time according to the news i saw one woman was impaled by a tree in yorks and blackpoor pier was damamged, plus some boats needed assistance and there were quite a few cancellations and diversions of flights and boars
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Lugh Fehr: harsh
Agatha Macbeth: Where is this Yaku?
Yakuzza Lethecus: here the village i am living in
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow, nice
    Wol Euler: veyr prettty
Wol Euler: and I like the idea of taking a lot of photos from the same place at different times
Agatha Macbeth: Love the clock tower
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s out of the flat in the living room, but there were approximatly 1/3 partly even 2/3 of the trees around here chopped by kyrill
    Agatha Macbeth: Poor trees
arabella Ella: was kyrill a huricane?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://www.wdr.de/themen/panorama/we...nholz_400q.jpg
Agatha Macbeth: And a Russian saint :p
    Wol Euler: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: it was a pretty intense storm, with damage not seen in a decade

Lugh Fehr: not as bad as it sounds dough their was a flood and some dellivery truck or somthing was filled whit coffins that all started flooting about in the streets
    Agatha Macbeth: Full or empty?
    Lugh Fehr: empty
    arabella Ella giggles
    Agatha Macbeth: Good!
    Wol Euler: :)
    Lugh Fehr: hehehe
    Wol Euler: a good question
Lugh Fehr: it would have been macabr hehehe
Agatha Macbeth: The curious case of the swimming corpses...
arabella Ella: well it may be turned into a new style of touristic marketing tool - come see the floating coffins
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
    Wol Euler: :)
    Lugh Fehr: heheehe
    Wol Euler: an annual parade.
    Agatha Macbeth: Then again....
arabella Ella: it was close enough of Haloween
    --BELL--
    arabella Ella: *to
Lugh Fehr: if only ive found a coffin :(
arabella Ella: you could sell it perhaps?
Lugh Fehr: i doont know thinck of the possibilitys
    arabella Ella: :)
arabella Ella: well they cost close to 1K euro
Lugh Fehr: yeahh siupid people we are
    arabella Ella: oh yes
Wol Euler: we should just be packed up in a carboard box and burned :)
Lugh Fehr: i bet ill find some cats willing to eat me
    arabella Ella: exactly wol
Agatha Macbeth: We dreamed about living in a cardboard box
Lugh Fehr: we should be sold at the deli

    Agatha Macbeth: Nah, submarine
Agatha Macbeth: Voyage to the Bottom of the sea
    Lugh Fehr: cool
    arabella Ella nods
Agatha Macbeth: One the better US series of the 60s
Agatha Macbeth: Along with the Invaders
Wol Euler: oh yeah, I liked that.
Wol Euler: the sub with its huge windows and little wings
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm

    Agatha Macbeth: Void apparently
Wol Euler: full of void :)
Qt Core: (for wol: i just come from a rl conference about what there was before the big banf and what is full of the void is a main topic there)
    Qt Core: banf=bang
    Lugh Fehr: coool

    Qt Core: star trek, Lugh
    Agatha Macbeth: Resistance is futile
    Lugh Fehr: hehehhe
Lugh Fehr: and what was their befor the bang?
Qt Core: void, full of energy as void isn't at energy 0 it is at a fluctuating almost constant energy
Qt Core: and those voids (as there isn't only one there) have different energy levels, then one of those had a big fluctuation and instead that going back to its level let some emergy go, that was the energy and matter created in the big bang
