This week's guardian session was attended by : Agatha Macbeth : Alfred Kelberry : Aphrodite Macbain : Archmage Atlantis : Bruce Mowbray : Eliza Madrigal : Eos Amaterasu : Jan Qualia : Lucinda Lavender : Maxine Walden : SophiaSharon Larnia : Yakuzza Lethecus & stevenaia Michinaga. :)

This was a FULL guardian session, with lots of busy energy. We discussed 1. Art as Being Self (Session taking place later this day at 12PM SLT), 2. Donations (Ongoing attention being brought to the topic through the guardian email list), and 3. The upcoming Second Life retreat (complicated due to the desire to accomodate and coordinate everyone who would like to participate).

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Eliza and Maxine and Yaku and steve.
Archmage Atlantis: Hi Bruce, Hello busy Aph
    stevenaia Michinaga: morning
Maxine Walden: hi, everyone, good to see you
Eliza Madrigal: great balloon, Aph :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu!
Maxine Walden: And Yaku, wonderful formal wear!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone!
    Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi, thinks
Archmage Atlantis: Hi, Eliza & Maxine & Yake & Steven & Bleu
    Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks
    Maxine Walden: hi, bleu
    Archmage Atlantis: *Yaku
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Bleu.
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hello everyone.
Aphrodite Macbain: Lots to talk about today
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, lots lots
Aphrodite Macbain: May I add an item to the agenda?
    Aphrodite Macbain: add
stevenaia Michinaga: I have to leave shortly I have a superbowl party to avoid
    Maxine Walden: :)
    Agatha Macbeth grins
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: ah yes, the superbowl with the roof
Eliza Madrigal: 1. Art as Being, 2. Donations, 3. SL retreat... and 4.... Aph?
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Jan.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Jan :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Jan
Aphrodite Macbain: ah, OK Donations. You've already added it. Thanks

Bleu Oleander: can only stay for a few minutes
Bleu Oleander: but did want to do a shameless plug

    Jan Qualia: hi all
    Eliza Madrigal: best kind
Bleu Oleander: and a big thank you to all who participated
    Aphrodite Macbain: shameess plugs
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Arch
Bleu Oleander: whether they can come today or not

Eliza Madrigal: Thank YOU Bleu, for all your work and care and attention

Bleu Oleander: it's been a great exploration
Eliza Madrigal: and plugging and pushing :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: It's looking good
Bleu Oleander: many great conversations in past logs
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Bleu Oleander: so more enlightened selves perhaps?
Eliza Madrigal: I think we've let some light in
    Agatha Macbeth blinks
Aphrodite Macbain: Did samuo get to post hers Sophia?
Bleu Oleander: ty ... end of commercial break :)
    Jan Qualia: pandora's box
    Eliza Madrigal: :::claps Bleu::::
Agatha Macbeth: Hope is still in there
Aphrodite Macbain: noon today, right Bleu?
    Jan Qualia: app
    Bleu Oleander: yes, noon slt
    Jan Qualia: applause
Maxine Walden: looking forward to it!
    Bruce Mowbray: [`·.] APPLAUSE!! [.·´]

Eliza Madrigal: Sharon isn't here Aph, but she helped oO0Oo.. which I'm glad about, though Sam won't be officially a guardian til Tuesday :)

[note that what was meant was 'invited to be'... as there is a process that preceeds invitation that takes place within the guardian group]

Bleu Oleander: great that he wanted to participate!
    Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
    Jan Qualia: yes
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Boxy.
    Jan Qualia: or she?
Aphrodite Macbain: ohh - I was wondering what was happening. Apparently she hasn't yet been invited or asked whether she would like to be a guardian
Eliza Madrigal: Boxy trying to enter...
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, hi :)
    Jan Qualia: Hi Alf
Eliza Madrigal: Right Aph, we give a week after nominating to the email list, normally
Alfred Kelberry: no, just studying the doors mechanics :)
Agatha Macbeth: Careful Alf, the doors bite
Eliza Madrigal: for a guardian to be invited
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Eliza Madrigal: >whew< you made it Alf
Aphrodite Macbain: but has she been asked whether she would like to be one?
Alfred Kelberry: it's good to see you all :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Doors of perception
    Aphrodite Macbain: hiya Boxy
Eliza Madrigal: Aph, as I said... one week... Tuesday will be one week
Archmage Atlantis: Hiya Jan, Aggie, Alfred
    Maxine Walden: hi, alf
Eliza Madrigal: so we made an exception here, which is fine and great
    Agatha Macbeth waves to Arch
Bleu Oleander: (sorry, can't stay ... slips out quietly)
Eliza Madrigal: Bye for now Bleu, see you later!
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, bleu
    Jan Qualia: bye Bleu
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Bleu
    Maxine Walden: bye bleu
Aphrodite Macbain: you mean you will ask her whether she would like to be a Guardian in a week?
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye! bleu
Alfred Kelberry: she looks unusual :)
Alfred Kelberry: in her "human" form :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: who?
    Alfred Kelberry: bleu

Eliza Madrigal: Shall we move on to item 2, donations?

Eliza Madrigal gives floor to Aphrodite and thanks her very much for emails and lead on this matter...
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, thanks to Aph . . .

Eliza Madrigal: sorry, maxine, did you want to say something?

Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks Eliza. I just wanted to askwhether everyone got my email and whether anyone has some ideas about ways to encourage donations

    Maxine Walden: no
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Maxine Walden: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: We're only asking $5 us /month
Aphrodite Macbain: We've had some good suggestions so far
    Alfred Kelberry: what donations?
Aphrodite Macbain: Like posting a donation box at the pavilion
    Aphrodite Macbain: donations to PaB
Eliza Madrigal: $5 per month seems very reasonable... but would require every guardian to contribute that to make the bar?
stevenaia Michinaga: reminds me of National Public Radio fund drive, we all listen and give to our own ability
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes. They need $800 every quarter
Eliza Madrigal: /me nods @ Steve
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes, but I will not repeat this message:-)
Alfred Kelberry: is it for kira land?
Jan Qualia: maybe we need to publicize the need more - but how?
Aphrodite Macbain: It's for PaB land and activity - for this Village Hall, for instance
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Eos
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Eos.
Eliza Madrigal: For PaB to be self-sustaining, Alf... let me get the link to the donations page which outlines everything, as did Aph's email
    Agatha Macbeth: ello Eos :)
    Alfred Kelberry: eos canon :)
    Jan Qualia: HI Eos
    Agatha Macbeth: +H
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eos :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Did you not receive my email I sent this week Alf?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hello eos

    Eliza Madrigal: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Donations

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi all
Alfred Kelberry: um... let me check
Aphrodite Macbain: I hope you are on the Guardians list
    Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks Eliza
Aphrodite Macbain: It's so little money for so many services - and truly worth it when you consider the quality of what we get

Archmage Atlantis: My thought is that constant verbal/text reminders, like NPR, tend to have some adverse effect on the integrity of a groups mission.......A donation box, with a monthly "rent box like" option in addition to the single contribution option seems reasonable and less obtrusive."
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods

Archmage Atlantis: I also think that a monthy income & expense accounting would be appreciated and appropriate.
Aphrodite Macbain: We are trying to be creative about the w ay we encourage (and inspire) guardians to give
Eos Amaterasu: yeah, recurring donations put your ongoing contributions out of sight, out of mind :-)

Eliza Madrigal: we have two very generous contributors who have up to recently kept everything going mostly on their own, and now the desire is for PaB's main operations to be funded by the community as a whole...

Jan Qualia: wouldn't do any harm to have a tip ar somewhere near the pavilion?
Alfred Kelberry: yes, a little donation box in pagoda would be nice
Jan Qualia: might stop ppl coming ?
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes- we thought about a thermometer so people would see how we are doing
Eliza Madrigal: and yes, transparent accounting... thus the web page
Jan Qualia: or deter them a bit?
Aphrodite Macbain: Most of these sims have a tip jar
    Jan Qualia: yes agree

Alfred Kelberry: don't call it a tip jar :)

stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps an egg time for the month that drains and get refilled as donations come in as a motivation for donationes when needed
Aphrodite Macbain: but we hope to encourage long term giving when we can
Eliza Madrigal: yes, the main concern with tip jars as I understand, is that lots of lindens may not make $5 a month...
    stevenaia Michinaga: egg timer
    Aphrodite Macbain: nice idea steve
stevenaia Michinaga: that are thosed sand timers called?
    Eliza Madrigal: hour glasses?
    stevenaia Michinaga: what, rather
    Bruce Mowbray: hour glass.
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: thanks
    Agatha Macbeth: Arab watches
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
Eos Amaterasu: different kind of tip jar - 3 minutes egg timers
    Aphrodite Macbain: really?
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hourglass
Eliza Madrigal: so we need to re-frame the idea of tipping altogether... ah, vision with ripple effects for creative economy
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: OK nice idea for an image - a timer perhaps with a 3 month intervals
Archmage Atlantis: Can't the contributions be expressed only in US dollars? Although I remember someone had concerns about the exchange rate for non-US participants.
Eliza Madrigal: yes, Ara had concerns
Aphrodite Macbain: less corny than a thermometer

Eos Amaterasu: Or, how about a 9 second timer: pop in 900 lindens, and you get 900 seconds, etc

    Eliza Madrigal: :) Eos
Eos Amaterasu: pay for time :-)
Eos Amaterasu: pay for do-nothing time!
Aphrodite Macbain: You get 90 free seconds for every $ spent
Maxine Walden: feels like parking meters I know....:(
Jan Qualia: SL tips are usually very small
Eos Amaterasu: just following B Dylan's instructions....
Aphrodite Macbain: If every guardian donaed $5/month we would make $800 every three months
stevenaia Michinaga: there are many inactive guardians
Aphrodite Macbain: Most of us dont donate anything but we get great service nonetheless

Eliza Madrigal: this seems key... giving really is a matter of celebration and appreciation
Jan Qualia: lots of ppl in SL don't believe in paying for anything
Alfred Kelberry: how many guardians are actually active?
    Eliza Madrigal: right
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes Eliza
Aphrodite Macbain: about 60 I think

Eliza Madrigal: of the roughly 61 guardians we have a bit more than half, I'd say, participating on a regular basis...

Agatha Macbeth: What is the definition of 'active'?
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, nice
Eliza Madrigal: some not in sessions but in other ways, or appreciating the vision
Alfred Kelberry: i had an impression only about 20 are active
Eliza Madrigal: and hoping to come to sessions more
Aphrodite Macbain: Some come to the pavilion, and that's all

Eliza Madrigal: so those of us able to give more than $5 a month, should consider this I guess...

Alfred Kelberry: *hears the tune and smiles*
Agatha Macbeth: I can hear a whale
    Maxine Walden: sweet sound, alf
Aphrodite Macbain: Glad someone can hear it!
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Alfred Kelberry: that jet pack looking thing on my back
    Aphrodite Macbain: I'm playing it
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, thought it was a jet pack
    Alfred Kelberry: :)

stevenaia Michinaga: now if it were a starbucks booth and I got a cup of starbuckccino for 5 bucks a month, the amount seems inconsiquential, yet I get hours of engaging conversation here every month... dificult to put a value on that.. why is that?

Maxine Walden: maybe we can have that sweet music and still do the work of this discussion

Eliza Madrigal: yes, Steve, I estimate that I spend 5 hours just in sessions per week...
Agatha Macbeth: Bruce is taking off
Aphrodite Macbain: Can each of us here commit to $5/month? and ask a friend to do the same?
Bruce Mowbray: nope -- just waiting for the next agenda item...
    Bruce Mowbray: sounds good, Aph.
Alfred Kelberry: bruce is anxious? :)
Aphrodite Macbain: He doesn't want to talk about filtheee lucre
    Bruce Mowbray: no, Boxy.
Eliza Madrigal: :) SL retreat is soon!
Alfred Kelberry: aph, you should ask this question in the mailing list

Eliza Madrigal: (imagine what it would cost to rent a retreat space like the one sharon designed, i RL?!)

Bruce Mowbray sings, "Money makes the world go round the world go round the world go round. . .
Aphrodite Macbain: next item on the agenda? If so, I do encourage all of you to contribute and to come up with ideas for raising money.

Eliza Madrigal: thank you Aph, and everyone!
Alfred Kelberry: only 11 of us are present here
Eliza Madrigal: yes, we can send this session with an email to the email group Aph :)
Aphrodite Macbain: If PaB is important enough to you, it shouldn't be hard
    Eliza Madrigal: Alf )
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks Eliza - I will be quiet now
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
    Maxine Walden: :)

Eliza Madrigal: So Bruce, would you like to make comments on the next item?
Alfred Kelberry: um, does it mean kira stopped being funded?
Archmage Atlantis: It is difficult to mention this, but being on a fixed income does have an effect on the decision making process........had to give up starbucks coffee long ago.....I understand the need for the contributions and will participate as is possible
stevenaia Michinaga: is there a written agenda?
Aphrodite Macbain: no, Kira is subsidizing PaB - far too much
Agatha Macbeth: Or a hidden one ;-)
Jan Qualia: lota think Pab is funded by an INstitute
stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, that was one of last weeks sessions

Bruce Mowbray: is the next item the in-world retreat or the Art as Being Self thingie?
Aphrodite Macbain: Please read my email - it explains it all there
Eos Amaterasu: PaB is an activity that came out of and is supported by Kira, but funding for PaB has mainly come from two donors.
Eos Amaterasu: Next item is SL retreat, i think....
Eliza Madrigal: Alf, we have two large contributors, yes :)
Jan Qualia: maybe we should make that clearer to ppl?
Bruce Mowbray: OK -- SL in-world retreat...
Eliza Madrigal: Maxine and Pema, have kept things going for quite a while
    Maxine Walden: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: eos, anonymous?
Eliza Madrigal: Ok, sorry Bruce..... just felt to mention for clarity sake
stevenaia Michinaga: thx to both of them
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi everyone
Eliza Madrigal gives huge hug to Maxine
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Sharon!
    Jan Qualia: Hi Sharon

Maxine Walden: a pleasure to be able to help!!

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Sharon
Aphrodite Macbain: But it's still not enough..
    Agatha Macbeth: Shaz :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sharon
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi sharon
Archmage Atlantis: Thank you very much Maxine......and, in absentia, Pema :)

Eliza Madrigal: yes, well it is enough if that would make sense... but what makes sense is for pab to sustain itself... and for there to be room made for creativity and helping people to attend rl retreats occasionally, etc

    SL RETREATS

Bruce Mowbray: Eliza and I have put together a mailing lsit for folks who have indicated an interest in the retreat coming up this next weekend.
Aphrodite Macbain: Thank you for all the work you and Eliza are doing
Bruce Mowbray: We are wiaiting for folks to express preferences for specific times for the sessions.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eos Amaterasu: How many people will be attending?
Aphrodite Macbain: how many are coming so far?
Eliza Madrigal: As I understand there is one firm time, which is Friday 12PM?
Maxine Walden: is there a preference pattern emerging for those sessions, Bruce?
Bruce Mowbray: I'm hoping that we can accommodate both Europeans and Western Hemi folks. . .
stevenaia Michinaga: slips out quietly (bye)
Bruce Mowbray: I'm all for setting that as a firm time, myself.
Eliza Madrigal: Bye for now Steve :)

Aphrodite Macbain: what is the best time for that?

    Jan Qualia: bye Steve
Maxine Walden: I am interested but cannot come before 4pm Friday
Bruce Mowbray: but I don't think that's happened yet.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye steve
Bruce Mowbray: shall we do that now?
    Agatha Macbeth waves quietly
    SophiaSharon Larnia: same here Maxine
    Aphrodite Macbain: do what Bruce?
Jan Qualia: the Friday first meeting seems to be a problem
SophiaSharon Larnia: and in fact worked very late this friday, may happen again idk
Eliza Madrigal: ah, and the first session is rather important... unless there were a way to have a support for two sessions on Friday to communicate
Bruce Mowbray: Shall we set a firm time for the Friday session.
    Bruce Mowbray: ?
Jan Qualia: aftewr 1 or 2 pm is too late for Europeans but too early fro some Americans
Aphrodite Macbain: 2 Friday sessions might be the only way to get everyone
Eliza Madrigal: meaning, it could be that there is a 12pm and 4pm... and communication via email before the first session on Saturday
Archmage Atlantis: So 4PM SL is 7PM East Coast US and 2 AM more or less in Europe, is that correct?
Eliza Madrigal: to make sure everyone is on the same page
Aphrodite Macbain: yes, would that work?
    Eliza Madrigal: not ideal...

Eos Amaterasu: Not everyone will be able to attend a given start time: in that case I think those who can could go ahead, and those who can't help arrange the next retreat

Eliza Madrigal: but if everyone was very attentive and sensitive,it could work
Bruce Mowbray: How about a time of noon slt for Europeans and 4 p.m for Western hemi? on Friday.
SophiaSharon Larnia: 4pm east coast time is 1pm slt
Aphrodite Macbain: I gather not many Europeans could attend the last retreat

Eos Amaterasu: Better I think to have more retreats, to accomodate more schedules, but to have each retreat have a good container (time, space, commitment)

Bruce Mowbray: and folks can come to both or whichever one they can reasonably come to...?
Aphrodite Macbain: so we should make a special effort to accommodate them this time
Eliza Madrigal: yes, that does seem better... there might be two simultaneous retreats going on....
    Eliza Madrigal: at diff times
Maxine Walden: I can see the benefit of one starting time, and will be happy to try for another SL retreat
Jan Qualia: there are only two Europeans as far as I know
Aphrodite Macbain whispers Boxy your back is irresistable
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: yes but there might be someone not European who would like to sync in with Euro times
Maxine Walden: agree, aphro re Boxy :))
Bruce Mowbray: OK, then -- Just one meeting on Friday -- at 4 p.m. slt??
Aphrodite Macbain: will everyone be able to make that one?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: I wont
    SophiaSharon Larnia: but no worries
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-(
Bruce Mowbray: That's what our emails are attempting to find out, Aph.
Jan Qualia: it's 12 pm for me

Eliza Madrigal: yes I wonder... perhaps better to have the first session all together on Saturday?
Maxine Walden: I can make the 4pm but thought somehow that the noon was the better time for most
Jan Qualia: 12 midnight I mean
    Aphrodite Macbain: 12 am
    Jan Qualia: yes
    SophiaSharon Larnia: interesting, saturday
Bruce Mowbray: OK. Just one meeting on Friday but at NOON slt....?
Aphrodite Macbain: No way I can do that. I'm asleep by 10:30
Jan Qualia: UK is SLT + 8 hours
Jan Qualia: other Europeans +9 or 10 hours
SophiaSharon Larnia: reads the text and blinks
    Aphrodite Macbain: 12pm SL= 8AM UK
    Aphrodite Macbain: or 9AM Italy!
    Jan Qualia: 8pm
Bruce Mowbray: OK . . . noon slt on Friday? To accommodate Europeans and Westerners also?

Eos Amaterasu: Even in SL time zones are real.... we _won't_ be able to accomodate all people at all times
Bruce Mowbray contemplates herding cats. . .

    Maxine Walden: :))
Aphrodite Macbain: Right Jan 12 minus 8 = the middle of the night
Archmage Atlantis: I would think Noon or 1 PM on Friday would be the fairest time for that day of the week.....but the though of an earlier time on Saturday as the first meeting sounds worth considering.
Aphrodite Macbain: I agree, do we need to have a meeting on Friday?

Eos Amaterasu: I'd suggest set a starting time, and do that retreat; then do another, with a different starting time.

    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Luci
Aphrodite Macbain: Can we not have 3 times on the weekend?
    Bruce Mowbray: good, Eos.

Eos Amaterasu: I will volunteer to do a one -day retreat, organize it (to include SophiaSharon, and whoever else it works for)

    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Luci
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles, thank you Eos
    Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks Eos!
    Jan Qualia: Hi Luci
    Aphrodite Macbain: Lovely Lucy
    Archmage Atlantis: Hi, Lucy :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: am planning to try to arrange my schedule
    Maxine Walden: nice, Eos, thanks
SophiaSharon Larnia: what is that music??
Lucinda Lavender: hi everyone...sorry was sleeping in unexpectedly
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Luci :)
Aphrodite Macbain: I'm playing Boxy's back
    Alfred Kelberry: luci :)
    Maxine Walden: SSL, Alf's flute
    SophiaSharon Larnia: oh wow
SophiaSharon Larnia: it sounded like a new agey ice cream truck for a sec
Aphrodite Macbain: wish I could hear it too!
Alfred Kelberry: thank you, aph. it feels lovely :)
    Eliza Madrigal: haha Sharon
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
    Maxine Walden: :) Sharon
Eliza Madrigal: ice cream space ship
Aphrodite Macbain: a little flute massage
SophiaSharon Larnia: its great, now i hear it better, does sound like flutes

Bruce Mowbray: I will firm up a time for the first session through emails. If it's possible to have it on Friday, then we will -- otherwise we'll have just Saturday and Sunday -- three sessions each.

    Alfred Kelberry: *want ice cream*
    Eliza Madrigal: great, Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: So let's go on to the third topic -- Art as Being Self project.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yay! Boxy
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes, I think Bleu already discussed that didn't she?
Maxine Walden: May I ask, what the timing of those Sat/Sun meetings for the retreat might be? Are they set yet?
Bruce Mowbray: The times are not set yet, but in the December retreat. . .
SophiaSharon Larnia: :someone is playing besides myself boxy
Jan Qualia: if we do the same as last time?
    Jan Qualia: seemed to work
    Aphrodite Macbain listens to Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: the times were 8 a.m., 1 pm., and 4 pm on all three days.
Aphrodite Macbain: and how long did each session last?
    Maxine Walden: ah, thanks,

    Eos Amaterasu: 90 minutes
    Bruce Mowbray: 90 minutes.

Jan Qualia: except that last meting was a bit late (12 am) for me but managed to get to last one
Eos Amaterasu: which was just longh enough for 9 avatars
Eos Amaterasu: to go around once, with a bit of discussion
Bruce Mowbray: yes, good point, Eos.
Aphrodite Macbain: Much longer time periods then
    Aphrodite Macbain: 3 x a day
    Eliza Madrigal: (apologies, afk)
Aphrodite Macbain: rather than once a day

Bruce Mowbray: 3 90-min sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
Eos Amaterasu: basic commitment was to the beginning and the ending meeting, and then one two out of three of the daily meetings

Eos Amaterasu: I think most people actually made all three (I just missed one)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i ll need a pillow for my behind, that a lot of time laughs
Aphrodite Macbain: Is that what you're proposing Bruce? 3 90-minute sessions on the weekend?
    Bruce Mowbray: yes.
Eos Amaterasu: basic commitment was to the beginning and the ending meeting, and then two out of three of the daily meetings
SophiaSharon Larnia: but the space... :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Oh OK
Bruce Mowbray: and yes to Eos, too.
Eos Amaterasu: the bookend meetings help hold the container
Archmage Atlantis: That sounds reasonable to me Eos.
Aphrodite Macbain: Seems it's hard to get everyone and one meeting so I wonder whether that's a realisic goal
    Aphrodite Macbain: at one meeting

Eos Amaterasu: plus there's some commitment, which I"m sure is completely differently expressed for each person, re keeping some kind of awareness 24 hrs per day during that time :-)
Eos Amaterasu: Aphrodite, it's not realistic that everyone can do any specified retreat
Aphrodite Macbain: yes- I would think that way you would get maximum benefit from the retreat
Eos Amaterasu: so best is to have multiple retreats, experiment with what does work for which subgroupings
    Bruce Mowbray: agreed.
Eos Amaterasu: So later this month hopefully we can do a one day retreat experiment...
Aphrodite Macbain: OK but I was concerned that the same people are being allowed to come to this one
    Aphrodite Macbain: -and the corollary
Bruce Mowbray: OK, then. I will get firmed up times and commitments to those through email...
Aphrodite Macbain: Give us a deadline Bruce. That's what you said last week...

Archmage Atlantis: Eos' suggestions re: this retreat and a future 1 day retreat still sound like a good compromise to me, so that would be my vote.

Aphrodite Macbain: OK I'll go with that
    Maxine Walden: me too
Eliza Madrigal: that seems a perfect compromise Eos

Bruce Mowbray: I'm thinking that Wednesday should be the latest. . . (for deciding all times).
Eliza Madrigal: agreed, Bruce... then people can begin to prepare their mindset and intentions
