Paradise Tennant: I think I associate fun with movement ..everything I think of as fun usually has some kind of movement to it

Paradise Tennant: yes we should more specific words for different kinds of fun and for different kinds of love

druth Vlodovic: we see a kid sitting in the dirt in a corner poking at stuff and we feel sorry he isn't playing with the other kids, but often he is just as happy

Paradise Tennant: it such a subjective experience much like love
druth Vlodovic: physical exertion, being with friends, roughhousing, solving a puzzle, creating something, watching something in a relaxed attitude, what do these have in common?

druth Vlodovic: ah, forgetting yourself, hard to have fun when worried or preoccupied

druth Vlodovic: I was trying to think of examples of losing myself when it wasn't fun
druth Vlodovic: I came up with drudgery and terror
druth Vlodovic: but both require the negativity to be in place before losing yourself
druth Vlodovic: lol, and even drudgery can be relaxing
Paradise Tennant: yes kind of like repetitive tasks :) that don't require a lot of thought :)

Paradise Tennant: first time you tied your shoes ..intense concentration then exhilaration and wanting to tie and retie everyone's shoes

Paradise Tennant: but often end up doing .. a longer meditation in the morning
druth Vlodovic: how do you keep it from pinning you to continuous time?
Paradise Tennant: my day is really hectic and difficult to find the space mostly

druth Vlodovic: lol, maybe I've asked the wrong people
druth Vlodovic: I've done it a couple days, and for a few hours other days

Paradise Tennant: at first i set a timer alarm on my watch
druth Vlodovic: but it drove me nuts having to know when it is all the time
Paradise Tennant: would try to stop every time it beeped
Paradise Tennant: but just did not work at work:)

Paradise Tennant: well goes off in meetings in conversations I get very little time alone during the day

Paradise Tennant: I find it kind of a nice experience just to be alone :)
Paradise Tennant: to be still and quiet .. peaceful

druth Vlodovic: I found at first that the period between each quarter hour was hugely different
Paradise Tennant: love those moments

druth Vlodovic: well, sometimes it would come up almost continuously
druth Vlodovic: but other times I'd be waiting so long I'd just do a quick meditation in the middle to cover it

stevenaia Michinaga: A friend of a friends is doing rebirthing therapy of some sort, riding themselves of the "trauma" of childbirth, perhaps she will re-live her first words later
