When I arrived, Lugh was already waiting for me. It was early morning in Lugh's RL home.

Sylectra Darwin: Good! Thanks! Are you here to join us for a Play as Being meeting?
Lugh Fehr: yes it 4 in the morning here so i usuallly miss this one hehe..we havent met befor?
Sylectra Darwin: hehe, it sounds like you have been here before. I have been away for a while so I have not had the pleasure to meet you :)
Lugh Fehr: hehe :) nice meeting you then :)
Sylectra Darwin: I was a guardian from April 2008 through now, though RL duties have prevented me from being more active before now.
Sylectra Darwin: Nice meeting you too! How many of these have you attended?
Lugh Fehr: hmm enugh that i lost count but i thinck i have been coming for a couple of months or so
Sylectra Darwin: Very cool! You said it is 4 in the morning there...are you in the UK?

Sylectra Darwin: I see you've been in SL for almost a year now - how do you like it?
Lugh Fehr: its nice, it keeps me company till i find better days hehe i almost just come for pab meeting now used to go to alot of parties but am too busy now so i just log on for pab mostly

Sylectra Darwin: There are some fun parties in SL... I like to go to one that has a lot of techno and everybody there is into the environment.

Thoughts on high school class reunions
stevenaia Michinaga: I Just got back from a Facebook Highscool class party, people I haven't seen for almost 40 years, and now I know why

stevenaia Michinaga: I took my spouse and there were mumblings something like, now you owe me three hours for this

Lugh Fehr: reunions are nice but can turn creepy in quick click

stevenaia Michinaga: the host was writing a cook book and tought cooking at a local college..... the food was generally dreadful, my spouse cooks better

Sylectra Darwin: I got to see two of my old friends from high school and junior college in Oregon around the holidays, and it was great to see their families. I stayed in touch with the important ones.
Bleu Oleander: probably owe her 4 or 5 hours :)

Sylectra Darwin: So Steve, do you find yourself thinking about expectation of success...as in what you thought you and the others would be doing in your lives by now?
Lugh Fehr: shh dont mention food! i almost dint eat aanything to day hehe
stevenaia Michinaga: no, although some in the group are looking at retirement soon, or are not in good health
Lugh Fehr: and to tired to get out of bed and cook

Sylectra Darwin: how many of your classmates were there?
stevenaia Michinaga: about 20
stevenaia Michinaga: I actually knew only 2 or 3
stevenaia Michinaga: the rest didn;t frequent my circle of friends

Sylectra Darwin: Yeah, I think the football players are expecially hard for me to remember because I was in band.

Visualizations during mindfulness exercise...is it normal to visualize bees?

Sylectra Darwin: Getting back into the habit of mindfulness practice, and sometimes my imagination takes me away. I was an opening flower just now, then the sun rays on the petals, then the bee visiting it.
Paradise Tennant: apparently so :)
Sylectra Darwin: hehe

Sylectra Darwin: Sometimes I wonder if the visualizations are helping or hurting the process.
Sylectra Darwin: My very first Play as Being session, we all got toys out and shared them.
SophiaSharon Larnia: visualization help to have other intruding thoughts recede, like concentration
Lugh Fehr: i dont like visualizations
SophiaSharon Larnia: it could frame what you see, if thats what you mean
Sylectra Darwin: I wonder if "what I am" can get too tied up in the imagery of a flower, for example?
Bleu Oleander: if you start atracting bees we'll worry
Sylectra Darwin: hmmmm....LOL
SophiaSharon Larnia: heh

Sylectra Darwin: Perhaps the bees can be random thoughts, or noises you hear while trying to concentrate, and the flower is your steady awareness.
Lugh Fehr: aint visualasation just hoping for somthing like imagining you won the lottery
Sylectra Darwin: could be, Lugh

Paradise Tennant: well visualizations often give you a chance to get in touch with your thoughts
SophiaSharon Larnia: or like starting out being the flower, and suddenly realize youve become the bee
Lugh Fehr: i mean if yourthe most time i visualiz is when im angry
Lugh Fehr: mixed message*
Bleu Oleander: visualizes africanized bees :)

Sylectra Darwin: I can see how visualizing bees could be not so restful. :)

Lugh Fehr: that or dreams are other lives we life unaware of each other
Lugh Fehr: but visulasation seems moor belivable

What are dreams, anyway?

Lugh Fehr: hehe they say gurus dont dream hmmm heh
Sylectra Darwin: I don't think we know all we can learn about dreams. That makes them exciting.
Sylectra Darwin: I guess I will be having the travel dream again soon, now that I am employed again.

Paradise Tennant: what is the travel dream slyectra
Sylectra Darwin: I started having this dream of trying to make a flight and dealing with complications like missing luggage, forgetting the schedule, trouble getting a ride to the airport, the airport layout changing unexpectedly, and spaced out travel companions. I began to realize it was actually me processing stress about work.
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh wow, yea
Sylectra Darwin: I have had the dream for more than ten years.
Sylectra Darwin: well, like is a journey, and I guess a job is the part of the journey that's on a rigid schedule, right?
Sylectra Darwin: sorry, I meant "life" is a journey
SophiaSharon Larnia: its stressful,. alot of processing going on, and finding an equalibrium
Sylectra Darwin: dang I missed Lugh logging
SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: a new job is exciting too
SophiaSharon Larnia: you dream reminds memy fears of overseas travel lol

Sylectra Darwin: overseas travel sounds very involved. I have yet to experience it.
SophiaSharon Larnia: i sued to dream a similair kind of thing starting school at various times, notbeing able to find the shirt i want to wear or matching socks, not finding classroom

Sylectra Darwin: Yes! Not being able to find the classroom
Sylectra Darwin: Also the whole locker mess - cant' find it, can't remembe rthe combo, don't remember what to get out of it.
SophiaSharon Larnia: actually for me, not being able to find the clothes was the worst, couldnt leave the house and would look and look.... haha sylectra
Sylectra Darwin: Sophia at least you had the sense in your dream not to leave the house until dressed! I would look down and find that I wasn't wearing much at all, and standing in the middle of class.
SophiaSharon Larnia: figured over time it had to do with fear of fulfilling a certain kind of role = clothes
Sylectra Darwin: that's an interesting interpretation.
Sylectra Darwin: I think the interpretation that makes sense to you is the one you should go with.
SophiaSharon Larnia: felt a need to have to intrepret the dream
Paradise Tennant: wishes lucinda was here .. she is so good with dreams
Sylectra Darwin: smiles

Sylectra Darwin: Yeah, that was usually Mom :)

Sylectra Darwin: She just couldn't seem to grasp that to travel, we needed stuff like a ride to the airport, and tickets.
