Eliza Madrigal sees Arch fly in
Eos Amaterasu: Hi Eliza, Hokon, Rosecrucian
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Luci and Arch :)
    Eos Amaterasu: Arch, Luci
Lucinda Lavender: Eos Eliza, Arch, Hokon Hello...
Eliza Madrigal: :) Here by habit Luci?
    Archmage Atlantis: Hiya Luci
Archmage Atlantis: Called here, me thinks
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: our spots do seem to get used to us
Lucinda Lavender: Well I thought you were saying you would be here but just wanted to make sure it worked that way:)
Archmage Atlantis: Must go, Luci knows all
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi erin, welcome to Play as Being :)
Eliza Madrigal: Have you been here before?
    Lucinda Lavender: bye arch:)
    erin Stormcrow: thank you eliza
    Eos Amaterasu: HI Erin
Hokon Cazalet: brb rl for a minute
Eliza Madrigal: what an intriguing avatar erin
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Erin...
erin Stormcrow: no, but I got thenotecard from the box
erin Stormcrow: I don't mind being recorded
    erin Stormcrow: thank you
    Eliza Madrigal: Great! :D
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks
Eliza Madrigal: How is everyone? Quite a day today
    Eos Amaterasu: Yes!
    Eliza Madrigal: Lotus Revolution
    Lucinda Lavender: Quite something...
Eliza Madrigal: so moving... waves of palpable energy
Eliza Madrigal: and in other places groups are gathering as well...

Eos Amaterasu: intention and holding, space and decisiveness

Eliza Madrigal: each group saying things to the effect of 'us soon'
Eos Amaterasu: (can't happen here :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Space and Decisiveness
    Eliza Madrigal: Holding the peace
Eos Amaterasu: not being deviated by phony words, seeing through that (partly through desperation)
Eos Amaterasu: "the truth will set you free"
Rosecrucian Roeth: Good evening folks, my apologies, I came early and was indisposed as you came in . I am now here in spirit as well as in body, so to speak.
Eliza Madrigal: that's what seemed so striking... there was so little wavering
    Eos Amaterasu: :-), Rose
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Rose :)

Eliza Madrigal: what I mean is that there was a strong evenness rather than being 'tossed about by every wind of change', etc... there was emotion, but hm...

    erin Stormcrow: real life calls
    Eliza Madrigal: anyway, inspiring :)
Eliza Madrigal: Bye erin, nice to meet you
    Eos Amaterasu: bye erin
erin Stormcrow: I hope to see you later when I have more time
Eliza Madrigal: Hope you'll join us again
    Eliza Madrigal: wb Hokon too
Eliza Madrigal: Are there other topics on everyone's mind?
Eliza Madrigal: How was the morning session Luci?
Lucinda Lavender: Well there seemed to be a discussion about sci-fi going on when I started out...
Rosecrucian Roeth: Ladies, my apoligies, I have not been here for a while and have missed it.
    Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Eliza Madrigal: Well you're here now Rose
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Rosecrucian Roeth: Now sci-fi, that is something I can really get into.
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
Lucinda Lavender: I Hokon was there...

Eliza Madrigal: well maybe appropriate, we started off early (in the Time session) discussing the edges of space....

    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
Lucinda Lavender: wonder if there was a word or tow you can add about the sci-fi...
Eos Amaterasu: Ah, Hokon is from the future :-)
    Hokon Cazalet: lol yup
Lucinda Lavender: then we moved on to dreams abit...
Lucinda Lavender: Met many new folks
    Eliza Madrigal: appropriate too! :)
Rosecrucian Roeth: I would sit in in my bedroom as a pre-teen and teen and revel in the sci-fi writes of the mid-20th century, like Isaac Asimov and Rober Heinlen
Lucinda Lavender: and I have not yet posted as I just got home...
Eliza Madrigal: That's great Luci... some of the morning crew I think will b happy to get to know you... Europeans rarely can make this session
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...I see

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: I remember Dandelion Wine...was that considered scifi?
Eliza Madrigal: :) loves that particular ding
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Ray Bradbury (Dandelion Wine) - not very sci fi - but depth in the present, or recent past
Lucinda Lavender: was thinking of the same book
    Lucinda Lavender: and Dune
    Hokon Cazalet: =)
Rosecrucian Roeth: Ray Bradbury was one of the best ......I think Farenhite 451 had to be a great book.
Eos Amaterasu: playing with futures to de-tune, tune our perceptions
Lucinda Lavender: I think I saw it as a movie at some point

Eliza Madrigal: what pre-teens were dreaming and reading about is some of what is actualizing now... re holographic imagery, etc
Rosecrucian Roeth: Dune was a great seriies but did not translate to the screen at that time. I would love to see what James Cameron would do with it!
Hokon Cazalet: yeah the dune movie was really really . . . weird
    Eos Amaterasu: bad
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Rosecrucian Roeth: What I was reading as sci-fi and watching on T

Lucinda Lavender: LL had the pleasure of singing for its author...
    Eliza Madrigal: ohh lovely L
    Eos Amaterasu: for Frank Herbert?
    Lucinda Lavender: the song blackbird...

Rosecrucian Roeth: What I was reading in Sci-Fi and watching on TV in Star Trek is now reality in one way or another.
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: !
    Eliza Madrigal: ooo
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe =)
Eos Amaterasu: sci fi can be a very philosophical literature
    Hokon Cazalet: yup
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Steve!
Eos Amaterasu: exploring ideas, not just psychology
    stevenaia Michinaga: waves
    Eos Amaterasu: hi stevenaia
Eliza Madrigal: can move the edges around in ways not accomodated by other works (genres) I suppose

Eos Amaterasu: but then present day reality can also surprise, like last few days in Egypt

    Lucinda Lavender: used tohi steve
Eos Amaterasu: suddenly realize humanity can live up to its highest ideals
Eliza Madrigal: yes maybe this is more how things are now
    Eliza Madrigal: sudden change

Eos Amaterasu: so impressed with the Egyptian people - mabye there is something to this civilization thing
    Lucinda Lavender: yes

Rosecrucian Roeth: What has changed the world now more than anything else is the internet and cell ph0ones and they give everyone knowledge without limitations.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: listened to npr earlier... discussing "Watson" the computer, etc... (it) can do so much processing but then what will humans become? so interesting
Lucinda Lavender: but still there can be the limitations in our points of view
Eliza Madrigal: collective blind spots too
    Hokon Cazalet: yup

stevenaia Michinaga: you can see the power by how quickly those in power try to cut it off when to much information makes them rightfully uncomfortable

Rosecrucian Roeth: Humasn will not become serviant to computers, and I think the situation in Tunisa and Egypt confirms this. Computers will free thoe parts of the world that are not free now.
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed, Steve
Eos Amaterasu: what comes out strongly in Tahrir Square etc is sense of care, which also keeps things grounded
Eos Amaterasu: media and internet can also create fog and clouds
Eliza Madrigal: I don't think we become serviant to computers... but we are freed to do... ? to be...?
Eos Amaterasu: in egypt there was some sense of some of that lifting
Rosecrucian Roeth: REmember that Egypt tried to cut off the world and the internet and they could not.
    Eliza Madrigal: YES
    stevenaia Michinaga: as did Iran
Eliza Madrigal: a young protester today "Egypt will be rebuilt by us"
Eos Amaterasu: actually, it's surprisingly easy to cut off the internet
Eos Amaterasu: there's 13 core routers

Eos Amaterasu: (tho I suspect that's not the whole story :-)
Rosecrucian Roeth: The power of the despot adn dictator has alwasys been ...keep the populace uneducated ... but hta tis nolonger possible.
Eos Amaterasu: but the populace can be kept distracted
Hokon Cazalet: yeah typically mass media has helped freedom
    Hokon Cazalet: historitcally
Eos Amaterasu: mass media has also helped enslave
    Hokon Cazalet: when
Eos Amaterasu: for example, radio in the 1930's
Rosecrucian Roeth: Eos, even though Egypt did cut off the internet, there was always the cell phones and the satelite phones.
Eos Amaterasu: cell phones were cut for a while
Hokon Cazalet: do you mean the war of the worlds broadcast?
stevenaia Michinaga: let's not forget "dial-up"

Eliza Madrigal: pause approaching... ideas to frame the 90 seconds?

Eos Amaterasu: no, I mean Hitler in the 30s
    Eos Amaterasu: magnetic orator
Hokon Cazalet: oh mass media just helped him spread his message, thats all

    Lucinda Lavender: freedom
Eliza Madrigal: :) yes... let's consider freedom

Rosecrucian Roeth: The war of the worlds broadcast adn Hitler were done in a dfferent era and with much les sophistacated communications, and yet even Hitler was defeated.
Eos Amaterasu: we could ask who currently is not defeated :-)

    --BELL--

Hokon Cazalet: well mass media helps anyone spread ideas, every technology has negatives, but those cases are exceptions to the rule, in general mass media does more good than harm
Rosecrucian Roeth: Today, there is such sophistification and such freedom in the greater part of the world, that it is virtually impossible to cut off all comunications in any place.
    Eliza Madrigal: (((bell)))
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks :)
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
    Eos Amaterasu: very polite bell
Eliza Madrigal: that's the core... being able to step out, even just for a moment...
    Hokon Cazalet: yupx
    Eliza Madrigal: rest
    Hokon Cazalet: yups
Rosecrucian Roeth: I do consider myself lucky to spend an evening with such lovely and intelligent ladies.

Eliza Madrigal: :) Friday night at the Pavilion
    Hokon Cazalet: Yaaaaayyyyyyyy!
stevenaia Michinaga: three cheers for the internet
Rosecrucian Roeth: Geez, if it were not for the internet I would be ????????
    Eliza Madrigal: wakaon
    Eliza Madrigal: wakaoff
    Hokon Cazalet: hm
Eliza Madrigal: hehee... just so you know why I gave that to you...
Hokon Cazalet: i cant seem to be able to wear it
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Luv it Eliza!!
    Lucinda Lavender: same here...
Hokon Cazalet: opk there we go
    Hokon Cazalet: that was weird
    Hokon Cazalet: its now on
Hokon Cazalet: just detach then re-attach
    Hokon Cazalet: wakaon
Eliza Madrigal: more fun if you stand first
    Eliza Madrigal: wakaoff
stevenaia Michinaga: I'm getting a script error
    Eliza Madrigal: ahem
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
    Eliza Madrigal gives you another
Eos Amaterasu: yah I have permissions error
    Hokon Cazalet: detach then re-attach
Eos Amaterasu: hate it when I have to debug myself
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: yes we've lost something with so much independence
    Eliza Madrigal: okay... lets see...
    Eliza Madrigal: wakaon
Eliza Madrigal: ah, strange... such a fun dance
    Eliza Madrigal: wakaoff
    Lucinda Lavender: nice!:)

    Luci takes to the sky....

Rosecrucian Roeth: I just wish I could figure out how to dance to infinity!!
Eos Amaterasu: can't get there from here
Eliza Madrigal: :) Luci in the sky
Lucinda Lavender: feel flying as freedom
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Eos
Rosecrucian Roeth: Lucinda, luv the hight!
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah... yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: onigokko
    stevenaia Michinaga: stop
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Lucinda - Beatles!
    Hokon Cazalet: onigokko
Lucinda Lavender: dancing and flying for freedom
    Hokon Cazalet: Weeee! ^.^
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Stevenaia....don't stop!]\
    Eliza Madrigal: stop
Eliza Madrigal: :) stopping is the fun part of onigokko
    Eos Amaterasu: heh heh
    Lucinda Lavender: playing as freedom

Eliza Madrigal: Luci.. so during the pause flying is what comes to mine...?
    Eliza Madrigal: *mind
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Arch
Lucinda Lavender: flying in the dream and in the imagination
    Eliza Madrigal: wb Arch
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Hey Arch
Lucinda Lavender: Arch has some wings...
Eliza Madrigal: yes seems natural to fly in dreams
    Lucinda Lavender: or did
Eos Amaterasu: must leave, thank you sweet avatars!
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you for a bit Eos, have a lovely weekend
    Eos Amaterasu: good night
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Night Eos.
    Eliza Madrigal: Sweet dreams
    Archmage Atlantis: Hey
    Archmage Atlantis: Hokon'
    Lucinda Lavender: bye eos
    Hokon Cazalet: hellos
    Archmage Atlantis: Lucy
    Archmage Atlantis: Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: So many flavors to dreams...
    Archmage Atlantis: Steve
    Eliza Madrigal: as to space
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Archmage Atlantis: RR
Rosecrucian Roeth: Flying in dreams such fun
Rosecrucian Roeth: Too bad it's not real.
Hokon Cazalet: picking up objects with my mind in dreams is fun also =)
Eliza Madrigal: our dream selves seem to touch something very real at times
    Hokon Cazalet: yeah
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Hokon
    Lucinda Lavender: ahlightness
Rosecrucian Roeth: The mind is a wonderful thing
Eliza Madrigal: yes, flavors of mind
    Lucinda Lavender: joy
Eliza Madrigal: different kinds or flavors of freedom perhaps
Lucinda Lavender: feathers come to mind as well
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes if you experience something in a dream, in RL there is less hesitance
Rosecrucian Roeth: It can create such things that may never see the light of day yet will be seen by so many in their imagination.
Archmage Atlantis: Why is is to bad it does not fit your definition of real, RR?

Eliza Madrigal: shall we all share one dream fragment?
Eliza Madrigal: after the bell... will give us time to consider
    Hokon Cazalet: ok
    Lucinda Lavender: let's:)
    Archmage Atlantis: accpt, Eliza

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: ((bell)))
Rosecrucian Roeth: Arch, you amy not see what I mean. It is not that what our mionds see that isnot real, it is that it is not neccisarily seen in the real world.
    Archmage Atlantis: I hear,
Hokon Cazalet: i wish i was a god in rl like i am in lucid dreams . . . oh well =(
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: I maut be off (to hopefully dream)
    stevenaia Michinaga: Must
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
    Hokon Cazalet: bye stevenaia =)
Eliza Madrigal: Night Steve , good to see you
    stevenaia Michinaga: night
    Eliza Madrigal: Pleasant sleep
    Lucinda Lavender: dream free:)
Eliza Madrigal: Who would like to share first? Hokon?
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

    Hokon Cazalet hides
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
Eliza Madrigal: talk about sci fi!
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
    Archmage Atlantis: Yes, plse Hokno
Eliza Madrigal: (for the log: hokon has just been zapped ala star trek and reappears)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Hokon Cazalet: lol
Hokon Cazalet: share any dream or
Eliza Madrigal: yes, or a piece of one, sure
    Hokon Cazalet: ok
Rosecrucian Roeth: Hokon as a god what would you do?

Hokon Cazalet: well i did have a sci-fi dream recently, where i was on an earth-like planet, being invaded by aliens; me and my group of refugees escaped but a bad guy showed up, took one of our friends hostage, so i used a teleporter to find her, ended up in some massively cool building, like govt style building, began looking for her (sadly, i pressed the wrong buttons on the teleporter lol, so i didnt find her)
Hokon Cazalet: i also had some small handheld pencil or pen thing that protected me and was a energy weapon

Eliza Madrigal: Neat! Thats the kind of thing one might find themselves in a rl conflict and reach for surprised not to have it in hand :)
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe =)
Eliza Madrigal: odd sentence... but I think what i mean is there somewhere
Hokon Cazalet: i supposedly had knowledge of the aliens too, i was somehow an alienas well
Rosecrucian Roeth: Love your imagination, wish I had one that would keep me involved! Eliza I know what you meant:>)
Eliza Madrigal: Luci, would you like to share next?
    Hokon Cazalet: =)
Lucinda Lavender: ah buttons can be confusing...tools perhaps less so...big picture view...
    Lucinda Lavender: ok

    Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Lucinda Lavender: dream image was the experience of flying up into tree tops...with a friend who has since become a buddhist nun...we are singing I can fly I can fly I can fly!
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe =)
    Eliza Madrigal: oooooooooooooooo
    Hokon Cazalet: thats fun =)
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Sally Field?? :>)
Eliza Madrigal: yes!! fantastic, can feel it
Hokon Cazalet: ive sometimes gotten really euphoric flying in dreams
Lucinda Lavender: ah! Sally! yes...it was just after my mothers death...
    Hokon Cazalet: aw
Lucinda Lavender: feel the joy is like medicine
Eliza Madrigal: mary poppins has a flying song... and also a premonistic streak...
    Eliza Madrigal: (((Luci))))
Rosecrucian Roeth: Lucinda, I loved the Flying Nun adn also Mary Poppins!!
    Lucinda Lavender: me too:)
Lucinda Lavender: remember as a child reading Mary poppins and the page where she climbs a ladder to paste the gold paper stars in the sky:)
    Hokon Cazalet: hehe
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Lucinda Lavender: loved the idea of the stars
Lucinda Lavender: who might be next?
    Eliza Madrigal: goosebumps

    Hokon Cazalet rolls some dice
    Eliza Madrigal: Arch?
Eliza Madrigal: Do you have one?
Eliza Madrigal: Then we'll go Rose, then me...
    Archmage Atlantis: loaded dice
    Hokon Cazalet: MWHAHAHA!!!
    Archmage Atlantis: but ok
Rosecrucian Roeth: The movie still gets me where it really ...... not hurts but where it really affects me in wonderous ways!!

Archmage Atlantis: This is the multiverse in which I exist
Archmage Atlantis: This pavilion is a touchpoint fo the entities of this planet
Eliza Madrigal: :) dream within a dream Arch?
Rosecrucian Roeth: This is a great place and I have missed it !
Archmage Atlantis: How is that for a script>?

    --BELL--

Rosecrucian Roeth: There are many dreams within dreams, the thing is which are reality and whgich are dreams?
Eliza Madrigal: Nice script Arch :) Something to share, Rose?
Eliza Madrigal: I assume we're always dreaming, until we need no sleep
Hokon Cazalet: i have fallen asleep in a dream, to awaken in another dream before
Hokon Cazalet: ive also waken up into dreams also lol
    Archmage Atlantis: M
Archmage Atlantis: May I offer an opinion
Lucinda Lavender: I think the dreams with in dreams can be looked at as teaching dreams
    Eliza Madrigal: interesting thought
    Lucinda Lavender: yes arch?
Lucinda Lavender: or explored that way anyway
Archmage Atlantis: There is the dream that is the one we see as real, there are the dreams we see as imposed, and there are the dreams that shape us and all around us
Rosecrucian Roeth: There is something about Mary Poppins which for many children who have not had the benefit of loving or available parents nor wonderful nannies which would gie them the imression that they are missing something, but in reality they are not.
Hokon Cazalet: what do you mean arch?
Eliza Madrigal: ah, I lived like those children... writing ideas and throwing them into fireplaces
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Hokon Cazalet: huh? (i dont get RR's comment)
Lucinda Lavender: ah...blessings to you Eliza...

Archmage Atlantis: I said what I meant....so ask me what does not make sense to you Hokon
Hokon Cazalet: no im curious in what sense you mean it, poetic, metaphoric, literal, spiritual, goal oriented
Archmage Atlantis: Is yes to broad an answer for you?
Archmage Atlantis: All of those are linked.
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you Luci... think dreamboards and those kinds of things are based on this idea... we have some instinctive idea that if we 'let go' of what we want, there is something in there that speaks to a different sort of intention frequency or something... (@Luci)
Hokon Cazalet: um yeah, makes it hard for me to judge it really; cuz in one sense there are dreams, goals, aspirations all about us, in another sense we also see illusion and error
Archmage Atlantis: judge is the barrier word
Hokon Cazalet: um then i cant comment

    Eliza Madrigal: mysteries within mysteries

Eliza Madrigal: It is getting quite late for me... though I love the topic of dreams
    Hokon Cazalet: =)
    Hokon Cazalet: me too
Rosecrucian Roeth: Hoken. what I meant is that many children do know the reality of what they have and that is not what Mary Poppins portrayed nor is it what most children experience.
    Hokon Cazalet: ok
Archmage Atlantis: Tme for me to go dance....need to change to country clothes
Hokon Cazalet: okies have fun arm
Eliza Madrigal: yes there is certainly validity to that Rose
    Archmage Atlantis: Blessings and Namaste
    Hokon Cazalet: arch*
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to spend this time with you all
    Eliza Madrigal: Thank you
    Lucinda Lavender: yes Eliza:)
    Lucinda Lavender: and thank you:)
    Rosecrucian Roeth: Night Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: thank you :) Night and sweet dreams
    Hokon Cazalet: bye eliza =)
Rosecrucian Roeth: it was a pleasure.
Rosecrucian Roeth: Ladies it has been a pleasure and I hope to see you again n the near future. It is late adn I have a full day tomorrow, but wil be back tomorrow evening.
    Hokon Cazalet: ok byebyes
Lucinda Lavender: I have had a long day and need to go rest:) ...
    Hokon Cazalet: ok
    Hokon Cazalet: byebyes =)
    Lucinda Lavender: byebyes:)
    Lucinda Lavender: see you Hokon:)
    Hokon Cazalet: Weeee! ^.^
