The Guardian for this meeting was Pema Pera. The comments are by Pema Pera.

    Pema Pera: Hi Lila!
    Lila Darkmatter: Hi Pema :)
Pema Pera: Nice to see a white cloud for someone called Dark Matter :-)
Lila Darkmatter: :) White Cloud is an interesting name.... like that :)
Lila Darkmatter: to my view I'm very odd looking so it is just as well
    Lila Darkmatter: Hi Steve :)
stevenaia Michinaga: hello Lila and Pema
    Pema Pera: Hi Steve!
    stevenaia Michinaga: gtsy
Pema Pera: Meet my neighbor White Cloud!
Pema Pera: I don't know her tribe yet
Lila Darkmatter: White Cloud dances with Dark Matter
Pema Pera: I can see the beginning of a PaB Opera
Lila Darkmatter: :::warms up vocal chords::::
Pema Pera lowering the fountain to make room for Lila's voice
stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, we have not tried our hands at music yet
    stevenaia Michinaga: listens
Lila Darkmatter watches fountain make way... parting like the red sea...
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Lila Darkmatter: You know Steve, someone asked Eliza today whether she was back in the US
    Pema Pera: wow!
    Lila Darkmatter: =P~

    I decided to play along . . .

    Pema Pera: is she now?
Lila Darkmatter: Well Steve keeps telling people she is travelling all over. hahah
stevenaia Michinaga: has she left? I am always in the habit of assuming she travels more than she does
Lila Darkmatter: She has a very adventurous life :))
    Lila Darkmatter giggles
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
Pema Pera: I wonder whether N'Orleans counts as being part of the US . . . or whether the French Quarter does . . . .
Lila Darkmatter: but for all that traveling she doesn't get to wear fancy gowns like Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: I have a personal shopper :)
Lila Darkmatter: :) re New Orleas
    Lila Darkmatter: Orleans
    Lila Darkmatter: *
Pema Pera: star struck in New Orleans . . .
stevenaia Michinaga: I love that there are places that seem out of country
    Lila Darkmatter: Pema invstigating epoche'....
stevenaia Michinaga: I do not think I will be ablut to make it due to my current schedule
    stevenaia Michinaga: *able
    Lila Darkmatter: oh :(
    Pema Pera: :(
Pema Pera: sorry to hear that, Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: If the winds change I may be there in june
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Pema Pera hoping for NorthEasterly winds blowing Steve to NO
    Lila Darkmatter: /m smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: would rather then blow me to Malta... smiles
    Lila Darkmatter: me smiles, too
Pema Pera: Malta is still a year and a bit away :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Lila Darkmatter: I think many of us who enjoyed the post-Malta sessions would like to make that one...
stevenaia Michinaga: Has Wol returned to EU
Pema Pera: nono, still in Japan
Pema Pera: in Kyushu right now
    Pema Pera: warm southern island
    --BELL--

I started fishing for a topic for the session.

    Pema Pera: any new topic?
    Lila Darkmatter: :) okay
    Lila Darkmatter listens for topic
    Pema Pera: time?
    Pema Pera: space?
    Pema Pera: awareness?
    Lila Darkmatter smiles
    Pema Pera: or . . . ?
    Lila Darkmatter: yes
    Pema Pera: pick you choice!
    Lila Darkmatter: I did
    stevenaia Michinaga: focus
    Pema Pera: yes?
Pema Pera: yes as a topic?
    stevenaia Michinaga: focus on time
stevenaia Michinaga: loving the moment more and more
Lila Darkmatter: time as a focal setting...
Pema Pera: Time is staring us in the face, each moment, but we close our eyes, each moment . . . .
Pema Pera: ignoring time with all our might
Pema Pera: time is the waiter/waitress serving up all that happens -- we take what we get without ever tipping . . . .
Pema Pera: . . .or even looking time in the face . . .
Lila Darkmatter: how shall one tip time?
Pema Pera: we could choose to become friends with time first
    stevenaia Michinaga: what glance returns?
Lila Darkmatter: what does time want?
Pema Pera: shall we ask time?
    stevenaia Michinaga: listens
stevenaia Michinaga: what does Being want?
Pema Pera: respect, perhaps (trying to answer for time :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: and if it does not get respect?
    Pema Pera humming the tune of R E S P E C T . . . .
    Pema Pera: Aretha Franklin
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
    Lila Darkmatter: respect and regard...
Pema Pera: then you get the situation we are in now, Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: you can;t have music w/o time
    Pema Pera: true
Lila Darkmatter: "to do anything one needs two things, an idea and not enough time" Leonard Bernstein
    Pema Pera: hahaha, wonderful!
Lila Darkmatter: something like that.. paraphrased :)
Pema Pera: hadn't heard that one yet
stevenaia Michinaga: do we all have not enough time,
stevenaia Michinaga: an interesting thing to have
    Lila Darkmatter: :))
    Pema Pera: :-)
Lila Darkmatter: seems the beginning of a song....
Pema Pera: I only knew "if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person"
Pema Pera: but this one is much better

I just love that kind of freewheeling spontaneous PaB banter :-)

    Pema Pera: Hi Rhia!
    Lila Darkmatter: Hello Rhiannon :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Rhia
    stevenaia Michinaga: she poofed
    Pema Pera: wb Rhia
    --BELL--
Pema Pera: but seriously, I feel I'm becoming more and more friends with time
Pema Pera: like shamans becoming friends with trees or rivers
Pema Pera: a modern version perhaps :-)
Pema Pera: befriending space and time
Pema Pera: the basic elements of our modern world (view)
    stevenaia Michinaga: tell us more
Pema Pera: instead of just using trees and looking at trees, we can befriend trees and let us be seen by them
Pema Pera: I think everybody has at least some sense of what that can feel like
Pema Pera: everybody can at least try to do that in some way
Pema Pera: so why not try the same with time!
Pema Pera: shall we do that for a minute? No need to wait for the next bell
    Lila Darkmatter: yes :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, have time hold us close

We then started our short exploration, but as soon as we did, various new avatars dropped out of the sky, as if being conjured up by our investigation :)

Pema Pera: hi Al and Geo and Av!
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Alfred
Lila Darkmatter: :) Hello Alfred, and Geo and Avatar 'friend of being'
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Geo Solari: Hello
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
    Avatar Scorpio: hello
stevenaia Michinaga: Wow, Pema, Time has a special "smallness" for me
Alfred Kelberry: hello, beautiful stev :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I need to stop floating
stevenaia Michinaga: were were meditating on time, and look , everyone arrived
Alfred Kelberry: just on time :)
    Lila Darkmatter: time presenting
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
    Pema Pera: time presents everything . . . .
    Pema Pera: yes :)
Pema Pera: time gives and takes (like Rhia's presence)
Alfred Kelberry: it's nice to see you joined us edwnly
Alfred Kelberry: does anyone see my name tag as "boxy"?
Lila Darkmatter: Alfred, you are 'rubyist' to my vision
stevenaia Michinaga: no ALfred, says you are Rubbyist
Lila Darkmatter: Hello Brian, so nice to see you again
    Alfred Kelberry: ok, thank you
stevenaia Michinaga: but the boxy is self evident :)
Alfred Kelberry: it's a new feature in 2.3.0 client
Brian Roop: hello all, sorry i'm late
Alfred Kelberry: you can change your name once a week
    Alfred Kelberry: hi, brian :)
Pema Pera: hi Brian, no problem, we don't have fixed times!
Pema Pera: Rhia has arrived here at least a dozen times :-)
Alfred Kelberry: no fixed fountain either :)

Alfred was refering to the fact that we were sitting close to the center, with the fountain made invisible.

Pema Pera: in just one hour
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
    Lila Darkmatter: time after time...
Pema Pera: Steve, can you say more about your time experience and feeling small?
stevenaia Michinaga: small but when added to itself, and I don;t mean to imply linarity, it adds up to so much... like adding moments together to get... hmmm reality?
Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Pema, Brian, Geo,Avatar, Lila, Edwnl, steve, Alfred
    stevenaia Michinaga: welcome Rhi, finally
Rhiannon Dragoone: and thanks for the tp, Pema
    Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, really
    Geo Solari: Hello Rhia
Rhiannon Dragoone: tried to get here on phoenix, but kept crashing
    Avatar Scorpio: hi Rhia
stevenaia Michinaga: time feels infinitely large and infinitly small all at once
Rhiannon Dragoone: Where am i in relation to you all? It's difficult for me to move and i can't sit
Pema Pera: yes, Steve, time is mysterious, any way you look at it
Pema Pera: we are always in the now
Pema Pera: which is tiny and yet is our whole life
    Pema Pera: magic . . .
Alfred Kelberry: pema, on a time scale it's pretty straight-forward :)
Pema Pera: nice to meet you Brian!
    Brian Roop: hi pema
Pema Pera: oh, Al, whenever we call something straight-forward, we look past the magic!
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well time is an illusion according to Augustine; The past is no longer, the future is not yet, and the present is the imaginary point between them
Lila Darkmatter: Phoenix... amazingly free bird and yet restrincting rhiannon :)
    --BELL--
Brian Roop: is it the way i'm seeing things or are there more unuslau avi's than usual tonight
    Rhiannon Dragoone: lila, yes
Alfred Kelberry: brian, stev is always unusually beautiful for me :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: What kind of avi's are here, Brian. I can't see them
Pema Pera: great discussion today, thank you all, especially Steve and Lila!
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, it sounds like i missed it

Much as I enjoyed the conversation, it was time for me to go out for lunch.  It would be a loooong session today, I saw later.  However, since I was not present for the several hours that the session would continue, I prefered not to comment the remainder of the conversation.

Pema Pera: Alas, I'm off to lunch -- almost 1 pm here in Japan
Rhiannon Dragoone: it was about Time?
stevenaia Michinaga: what do you do with MAgic?
Lila Darkmatter: Bye Pema :) yes Rhi...
Alfred Kelberry: say hi to woly, pema :)
stevenaia Michinaga: awww, enjoy lunch Pema
    Alfred Kelberry: we miss her
    Rhiannon Dragoone sighs
    Lila Darkmatter: :
    Rhiannon Dragoone: enjoy lunch, Pema
Pema Pera: Wol is having lunch too, while we speak :-)
    Pema Pera: bfn
Lila Darkmatter: Rhi... well if you like, (can you sit? bit distracting) we can recreate the exploration....
    Alfred Kelberry: haha
    Alfred Kelberry: nice
Rhiannon Dragoone: lila, no i can't sit; on my text client
Rhiannon Dragoone: and where am i standing?
Brian Roop: sitting's not that hard, just right click a cushion
Rhiannon Dragoone: Sorry to be distracting
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
    Brian Roop: i wonder
stevenaia Michinaga: text clients don;t have coushions
Lila Darkmatter: Brian, reminds me of the famous quote "just put your lips together..."
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, that's like saying, Brian, pickiing up things isn't hard, you just use ur hands, to an amputee
    Lila Darkmatter: re whisling :)
    Lila Darkmatter: sigh
stevenaia Michinaga: you are standing on a pillow, it;s fine with me
Brian Roop: sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander
stevenaia Michinaga: hehe Brian, clothes off tonight
    Rhiannon Dragoone: thanks Steve
Brian Roop: i made up my mind next time rhi showed up here naked i'd go nude too
Lila Darkmatter: well, I did wonder whether the whole experiment others seem to be conducting would be different had it been a man... guess I know now
Avatar Scorpio: what kind of group is this?
Rhiannon Dragoone: lila, i would like the recreation
Alfred Kelberry: sorry, i have to go
Brian Roop: she's very distracting and i don't think she's a bit sorry she is
Alfred Kelberry: thank you for the company :)
Lila Darkmatter: avatar, actually I have a note for you...
Rhiannon Dragoone: lia, had what experiment
Lila Darkmatter: Alfred, nice to see you
Rhiannon Dragoone: ok, that's it, Brian
    Rhiannon Dragoone: i'm leaving
Rhiannon Dragoone: ~don't want to be distracting~
    Brian Roop: bye
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, and this is the second time that this has happened.
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'm not coming back
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Bye Steve
    Brian Roop: bye
Rhiannon Dragoone: lila, could i friend you? i'd like to know about the convo sometime, and maybe we can meet in a more hospitable place
stevenaia Michinaga: Rhi, no need to leave on our account
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, Brian *is* distracted cuz i can't sit
Lila Darkmatter: the conversation re time?
Lila Darkmatter: the exploration was about looking time in the face, and asking to be time's friend...
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, i would like that, so would you be my friend?
Brian Roop: i is distracted because you stand around naked
Lila Darkmatter: relating to time, as an intimate :)
    Rhiannon Dragoone: grow up, Brian
Lila Darkmatter: Rhi, actually I have few friends as a rule, as I like to wander SL freely, but sure for bit :)
Brian Roop: no i thinkk you are the one who needs to grow up
stevenaia Michinaga: Brian can let brian be brian
    Lila Darkmatter: yes
Lila Darkmatter: Brian is also expressing something that others feel at times... so seems fine
Lila Darkmatter: I'm sure you understand your controversial nature Rhi
stevenaia Michinaga: must be interesting being the only nakid person in the room and not being able to see yourself
    Lila Darkmatter: hahahah
Brian Roop: let's get real, she's all about herself, nothing else
Lila Darkmatter: as an experiment it could be quite interesting.... how people repond to nakedness
stevenaia Michinaga: I actually insist I do
Lila Darkmatter: I remember we had a discussion here once, re the difference between art and porn...
    Brian Roop: do what/
Lila Darkmatter: it was about respect, as i recall
Avatar Scorpio: don't think she was art or porn
stevenaia Michinaga: nakidness can be about intent. but that intent also resides in the observer
Lila Darkmatter: I'm not sure what she needs answered, but perhaps something
    --BELL--
Brian Roop: she's not asking any questions, just seeking attention
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, i was trying to make a point before i crashed; i had a black avi and experienced racism; and now, not being able to move or sit, i am experiencing ghe discrimination against the handicapped
Lila Darkmatter: bit of a stretch Rhi...
Rhiannon Dragoone: And my nudity does make me an object of prejudice too
Brian Roop: you owe it to the group to fix your tech problems and your attitude
Brian Roop: oh poor pity you
Geo Solari: What do you think, Is rhia naked because she is trying to draw attention or because she is disregarding convention?
Lila Darkmatter: but perhaps the nudity issue maybe... except that I think what others have expressed is more a sense that you use the nudity to dominate convdersation...
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh fuck you, Brian
Rhiannon Dragoone: and don't worry about my obligations to the group
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'll take care of tghem by not coming here again
Rhiannon Dragoone: This is disgraceful treatment
    Brian Roop shrugs
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps you are missing brian intent, as he is yours
Lila Darkmatter: sorry to leave you feeling that way Rhi...
Rhiannon Dragoone: So are we going to be civil to each other
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, what is Brian's intent?
Lila Darkmatter: :::yawn::: I am sleepy though
stevenaia Michinaga: neer witnessed an avatar smackdown before
    stevenaia Michinaga: *never
Lila Darkmatter: and tire of our rather unique conversations turning into just another philosophical debate
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, u were the only one nice to me tonight, lila
Brian Roop: have you considered there may be reasons for that?
Lila Darkmatter: Rhi, I rather relate to your plight in some ways
Geo Solari: Rhia, I find you very interesting
    Rhiannon Dragoone: thank yoiu Geo
Rhiannon Dragoone: and i've muted you, Brian
Lila Darkmatter: but would love if you were more curious as a personality, about the pab group...
Rhiannon Dragoone: so i want clarity?
Lila Darkmatter: and what the conversations we tend to engage in here, are all about...
Rhiannon Dragoone: lila doesn't want me here cuz i'm too philosophical
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
Lila Darkmatter: just that philosophy in itself one can engage in many places
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, lila, i've been trying to do that the last few times, but i get these attitudes
Rhiannon Dragoone: Brian wants me out of here cuz i can't sit,
Lila Darkmatter: I think you miss the point....
Rhiannon Dragoone: so the unique conversations means putting down the handicapped?
Lila Darkmatter: it isn't your not sitting. it is that your not sitting goes along with a general way of not being 'part' of the conversation but wanting to 'be' the conversation
Lila Darkmatter: you are rather bright, so I'm sure you understand :)
Lila Darkmatter: as 'part' of the conversation, I think most of us think you're just great
    Lila Darkmatter: :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, sweetie, i'm sure if you went over all the chat logs with me in it, you'd realize that i've participated in the conversation; listening to others, responding to their needs
Lila Darkmatter: maybe I'll do that some time :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: so give me an example of what ur talking about? How i became the conversation
Rhiannon Dragoone: cuz i wanted to
Rhiannon Dragoone: ur the one making me the center of this conversation
Rhiannon Dragoone: you and dear, muted Brian
Rhiannon Dragoone: i just wanted to know about time as u all were talking about it
    stevenaia Michinaga: (brian left BTW)
Rhiannon Dragoone: i find ppl's conceptions of time interesting,
Rhiannon Dragoone: it often shows how they live, and then we can share that experience
Lila Darkmatter: yes, time is a wonderful exploration.... my favorite perhaps
Rhiannon Dragoone: so why not tell me about why its ur favorite and how u explore it?
Lila Darkmatter: oh, so sleepy now... busy day tomorrow
stevenaia Michinaga: we explore it through short meditation
Lila Darkmatter: but the wiki has lots of interesting background, maybe another 'time'
    stevenaia Michinaga: night lil
    Lila Darkmatter: Night Steve :)
    Lila Darkmatter: Night everyone
    Lila Darkmatter: Thanks :)
stevenaia Michinaga: thanks for joining us
    Rhiannon Dragoone: nite lila
Rhiannon Dragoone: lila, i don't care about the wiki
stevenaia Michinaga: Lilla was a cloud tonight
Rhiannon Dragoone: in more ways than one
    Rhiannon Dragoone: meow
Rhiannon Dragoone: i guess before i come again, i should stand and see who's here and only participate when there are certain people
stevenaia Michinaga: we all take our own form, we are not really here for that
Rhiannon Dragoone: Maxine, lila, Brian, and i won't be here
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Rhiannon Dragoone: it really limits my participation; i guess i can't come on a text client either
Rhiannon Dragoone: you know, i had a choice of coming here or to a friend's ACIM meeting
Rhiannon Dragoone: guess i made the wrong choice
Rhiannon Dragoone: tell me Steve, should i even come back? I don't go where i'm not welcome
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: personally I don;t ahve a problem with your text client
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, its my standing, and my nudity and my talking in the conversation
stevenaia Michinaga: but you seem to create a very stonge reponse, which is great, however, you also respond strongly, that is what I take issue with
Rhiannon Dragoone: one thing lila's right about; i've not had that many experiences with the grouup so i don't understand the purpose of the convo very well; esp when i get those strong responses
stevenaia Michinaga: can you ignore them?
    Rhiannon Dragoone: i can try
stevenaia Michinaga: once you say you can;t move, for instance, that part of the conversation can be over
Rhiannon Dragoone: but what am i supposed to do when ppl are demanding that i sit and i can't
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, ok, but it was Brian who kept on insisting
Rhiannon Dragoone: but i should hve muted him earlier
stevenaia Michinaga: can must be able to move out of the center you moves from the perimeter
Rhiannon Dragoone: in fact, the next time someone asks me to sit on my text client, i will just mute them
Rhiannon Dragoone: let the guardian speak for me
stevenaia Michinaga: this is a unique situation for this group
Rhiannon Dragoone: if i hadn't lost my location, it prolly would have been fine
Rhiannon Dragoone: i could have stood apart from the group
stevenaia Michinaga: we are trying to accomodate, but each has their own opinion of statuesk nudity not being able to sit
stevenaia Michinaga: I fint that intreging
    stevenaia Michinaga: *find
Geo Solari: Rhia, how do you interpret the several reactions of ppl to your nudity?
Rhiannon Dragoone: its part objectification; its part that female nudity brings out hostility; even agressiveness, as its equated with vulnerability. Women especially are judgmental
Rhiannon Dragoone: But these are minority reactions
Rhiannon Dragoone: although i don't really care to discuss it, unless we were to have it as a discussion
stevenaia Michinaga: do you ahve an alt w/ clothes... as an experiment?
Rhiannon Dragoone: I do and there are very different reactions to her
    stevenaia Michinaga: different?
Rhiannon Dragoone: But anyway, if you all can't accept my life style, and there's no reason why you should have to, one thing lila's is almost right on, there aren't scores of philosophy discussios out there, but there are enough like this meeting, that i can go eslewhere
Rhiannon Dragoone: And this is the second time i've been confronted here and no place else i've been to since seeking out groups across the grid
Rhiannon Dragoone: I could even start my own meditative circle
Rhiannon Dragoone: that's the beauty of SL
Rhiannon Dragoone: So the real question is do you all want me here or not?
Geo Solari: My question was with good intention...
Rhiannon Dragoone: i have thought that i contributed
stevenaia Michinaga: you are welcome here
Rhiannon Dragoone: And i think the logs will bear me out
stevenaia Michinaga: I am the guardian on wednesdays at this time, feel free
Rhiannon Dragoone: Geo, i took ur question well, but i really don't want to discuss it now
stevenaia Michinaga: don't discount out wiki, there is much information there in the 2 1/2 years we ahve been meeting
    Geo Solari: Ok!
    stevenaia Michinaga: *our
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, i didn't know lila was talking about ur wiki
Rhiannon Dragoone: i thought she was talking about the wiki on time
Rhiannon Dragoone: and now that i know she wants me to check it out, that makes me not want to do it--for i'm sure she thought that once i read it, i'd realize i don't belong here and why
stevenaia Michinaga: there is a part of our wiki on special Theme session at 8:00 of fridays which discuss Time Specifically
stevenaia Michinaga: I think you are mis-interpresting her intentions, Rhi
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, you will discuss Time on Fridays?
stevenaia Michinaga: not me, I cannot make those session it is in the morning
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, she wasn't very nice to me, so yeah, i guess i might be; tend to read things into ppl's intent when they aren't ncie to me
    Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, the morning
stevenaia Michinaga: but you can read the logs on the Wiki, should you coose to
    stevenaia Michinaga: *choose
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, had i known, i could have come last Friday
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: do you have the link?
    Rhiannon Dragoone: no, i don't
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/
Rhiannon Dragoone: and i can't copy and paste either (glad Brian isn't here).
Rhiannon Dragoone: So could you send it to me in a notecard
stevenaia Michinaga: awww how can I get it to you
    stevenaia Michinaga: one moment
    Rhiannon Dragoone: notecard
Rhiannon Dragoone: type it into a notecard; i'll be able to then copy it unto my word processor
stevenaia Michinaga: the time sessions are under the
stevenaia Michinaga: "PAB Books " tab
    Rhiannon Dragoone: okies
stevenaia Michinaga: Pema leads the sessions
Rhiannon Dragoone: but one thing about this group~i thought~was listening to ppl's understandings of and reactions to~Time
stevenaia Michinaga: I don;t think he took any issues with your presents
Rhiannon Dragoone: And tht would be only at a live session
Rhiannon Dragoone: no, but he thought that i should be able to sit
stevenaia Michinaga: that is part of it,and tonight it was, but the basis of this group is the exploration of reality through a serries of mini meditations
Rhiannon Dragoone: so when he's here, either i should be placed away from the group or i shouldn't come when i only have access to my text client
stevenaia Michinaga: that is your choice
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, ppl say that, i've foiund, when they don't want to listen to your concerns or try to work out differences
Rhiannon Dragoone: i've suggested a couple of ways to accomodate the Brian's of the world
stevenaia Michinaga: we try to be comfortable here, standing tall as you do makes you stand out, even if it is not your intent
Rhiannon Dragoone: If i had been successful in keeping my location, i could have stood outside the pillars
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Rhiannon Dragoone: And if i can't do that, perhaps when i ask for a tp, the person (i know its a lot of trouble) could go to a location outside the group, so when i tp in, i will be outside the group
    stevenaia Michinaga: awww, good point
Rhiannon Dragoone: i know that would make some ppl uncomfortable, as it seems exclusionary, but i think it would be better
Rhiannon Dragoone: like hiding behind a column
stevenaia Michinaga: that is not a dificult as you may think, just ask
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, its an inconvenience
stevenaia Michinaga: no, that edwnly's place (just kidding ed)
Rhiannon Dragoone: but it was something that was done earlier, when a friend of mine tp'd me to her sim, she wanted me to be within a few meters of everyone, so one person moved and tp'd me to wher ehe was standing
    Rhiannon Dragoone smiles at edwnly
stevenaia Michinaga: so, Rhi, feel free, if I am here to ask me to position your tp location at a place that will be more comforatable for us as well as you, and feel free to join is for our ever changing discussiosn :)
    Rhiannon Dragoone: ok, thanks
stevenaia Michinaga: the group appriciates participation and contribution, it is the basis of how we approach topics
stevenaia Michinaga: we are not a debating group, although sme have tried, more of a sharing of thoughts and opinions as a way of getting a deeper understanding of the topics discusse
stevenaia Michinaga: ... if that helps
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, and there is often friction when a new person comes in on it
    --BELL--
Rhiannon Dragoone: i've been here maybe six times, and haven't debated once
stevenaia Michinaga: I wasn;t accusing, just explaining
    Rhiannon Dragoone: okies
Rhiannon Dragoone: and for my part, when i come here and get accused of attention seeking, or ppl complain cuz i'm not sitting, or not standing where they want, i will mute them.
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'm not in SL to be criticized or made the object of complaints, or objectified in anyway
stevenaia Michinaga: a good introduction upon your arrival :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, you mean is should say that each time?
stevenaia Michinaga: no, not each time, but it puts the reactions to yu where they squarely belong, on the shoulders of the responders
Rhiannon Dragoone: heh, maybe i should wear it as a tag
stevenaia Michinaga: I was suprised by Brian;s reactions based on his profile, to be honest with you
stevenaia Michinaga: and that might be a most interesting tag...grins
Rhiannon Dragoone: i didn't see his profile; he's a guy, so i am not surprised
Geo Solari: Regardless of Brian's manner, there was a point in his reaction...
Paradise Tennant: smiles hiya rhia stevenaia geo edwnly :)
stevenaia Michinaga: much of what we do here is rooted in non-judgement, Brian was incomfortable, she should ahve dealt with that
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh? That i should fix my technical problems? Gladly, he should send money to my PayPal account and i will be glad to
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Paradise
Rhiannon Dragoone: The topic is what a problem i am
stevenaia Michinaga: sorry, Brian should have dealt with that
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: the topic was interrupted
stevenaia Michinaga: the topic before everyone arrived was Time
Paradise Tennant: just came home from listening to the Toronto Women's Blues Review :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: nice dress Paradise
Paradise Tennant: fabulous show .. very blue !
    Paradise Tennant: thanks stevenai :)
    Paradise Tennant: stevenaia :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, i'd love to hear it
Paradise Tennant: hmmm it is being aired twice on CBC .. let me find you the times
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, that's another point, Steve about maybe i shouldn't come back; this is the second tgime some one interrupted the conversation cuz i arrived
    Rhiannon Dragoone: not 'everybody'
    stevenaia Michinaga: your choice
Rhiannon Dragoone: Paradise, could you someday model the dress for me? i can't see anything but textg atm
Paradise Tennant: it is one eshi's early ones
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, say it's 'my choice' one more time, and i will leave and not come back
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, you looking for a reaction to the options?
stevenaia Michinaga: or were they rehitoical?
    Paradise Tennant: http://torontobluessociety.com/site/?p=216
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, i suggested a couple of compromises, if they work, fine; if not, then jsut ban me
stevenaia Michinaga: Iso did I Rhi
Rhiannon Dragoone: mine were that i'd ask for help in a tp; if i arrive in an uncomfortable spot for Brian, Maxine and the others, just help me move
Rhiannon Dragoone: And i also said that i'd try not to come when Brian or Maxine are here
stevenaia Michinaga: I offered to help, but suggesting I ban you goes a bit far
Rhiannon Dragoone: And yes, i'd prefer to be able to come at times when i'd only have my text client, as i don't have time for this always, but if i have to confine myself to a full viewer, i will do that
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'm sorry, steve, i've just been through a trauma with a sim owner who refused to compromise; in spite of it trashing her sim's speaker's program, and setting back her own admins projects by months, she banned me
Rhiannon Dragoone: And so it was kind of like saying to a cop, "either book me or let me go."
stevenaia Michinaga: sorry to hear that
Rhiannon Dragoone: I'm reasonable, i'd like to participate, think the log shows that i have contributed, and i've suggested compromises.
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/
Paradise Tennant: if you go this site they will eventually have the concert I heard tonight available :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: thank you, steve, and for the most part i've moved on (its only been two weeks); i used to go there for phil convos, now i invite the ppl who go there to come to me, and they do
Rhiannon Dragoone: But it obvioiusly has still affected me
Paradise Tennant: well we could meditate for a bit .. breath .. maybe that would help ?
stevenaia Michinaga: very nice link Paradise
Rhiannon Dragoone: Paradise, could you put that in a notecard? I can't go there tonight, can't cut and paste
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Cal!
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Calvino
    Geo Solari: Hello Cal
    Calvino Rabeni: Hey everyone :)
    Paradise Tennant: hiya cal
    Calvino Rabeni: A long meeting?
    Paradise Tennant: okies
    stevenaia Michinaga: much to resolve
Calvino Rabeni: How would you describe it ?
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, not really. it was on Time, then i showed up
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, not really. it was on Time, then i showed up
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, pema was hear earlier
Rhiannon Dragoone: now its on what to do about me
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
    Calvino Rabeni: Steve?
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes Cal
Calvino Rabeni: Just wondered if someone could give a synopsis
    Rhiannon Dragoone: thanks paradise
Rhiannon Dragoone: that was very kind of you
    --BELL--
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'd like that too
stevenaia Michinaga: Lila and I and Pema were doing a impromptu meditation on time looking us in the face
    Paradise Tennant: lovely
    Paradise Tennant: listens
stevenaia Michinaga: best captured in the log ofcourse
stevenaia Michinaga: but them alfred and Rhi and a number of others showed up
Paradise Tennant: love alfred's avatar :)
stevenaia Michinaga: and "issues" took over and time took a back seat
Rhiannon Dragoone: And i couldn't move, so Brian made a big stink about my not sitting
    Calvino Rabeni smiles
Paradise Tennant: well we could regroup and look time back in the face :)
Calvino Rabeni: about that euphemism "issues" :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Cal, the issues are that i'm nude, i couldn't move, Brian took issue with that; lila thinks i'm a narcissistic bitch who shouldn't be in the conversation
stevenaia Michinaga: miot test clients portrays avatars as a cloud, Rhis puts her smack in the middle standing as she is, makes people quite uncomfortable for their own reasons
    stevenaia Michinaga: se above :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: laughs
Calvino Rabeni: maybe we need a sign or hovertext over Rhi's avatar
stevenaia Michinaga: thought I said that
Rhiannon Dragoone: Cal, yeah, i suggested that
Calvino Rabeni: What would it say?
stevenaia Michinaga: do you remember Rhi, I'll look
Calvino Rabeni: Also was it used as a contemplation topic during the pause?
Rhiannon Dragoone: "I'm not here to be an object of criticism or to be objectified"
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, look it up Steve
Rhiannon Dragoone: Cal, well kind of
Calvino Rabeni: That sounds like a good use of 90 seconds
Rhiannon Dragoone: that's what we've been discussing tghe lat hour and a half
Calvino Rabeni: 90 seconds of contemplation might be worth an hour of discussion
stevenaia Michinaga: "i'm not in SL to be criticized or made the object of complaints, or objectified in anyway"
Calvino Rabeni: or so they say :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles well personally hardly ever look at the avis .. usually have the chat window so large so I can focus on what people are saying or have said but to be fair to all sides there are more compelling topics we could address .. was there anything that you wanted to explore tonight rhia - unrelated to sitting or standing :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles like maybe ..seeing with our hearts :)
Calvino Rabeni: SL can invite pretty concrete ways of seeing
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, don't forget narcissitically turning the convo into philosophy
Rhiannon Dragoone: but yeah, i would kind of like to have a topic to discuss; even go back to time
Paradise Tennant: yes and the less concrete but still valid
    Paradise Tennant: ways of seeing
    Paradise Tennant: open
Paradise Tennant: without the boundaries of you and I :)
Calvino Rabeni: which are open, in that ... ?
Paradise Tennant: we could spend the next 90 seconds closing our eyes .. and focusing on trying to see with our hearts ..
Paradise Tennant: like doing that :)
stevenaia Michinaga: no need to wait for the bell
Paradise Tennant: smiles a huge smile at stevenaia :)
stevenaia Michinaga: how about now? for a minute or two
Paradise Tennant: hmm okies how about 5 ..
Calvino Rabeni divests himself of an IM
Paradise Tennant: would you like to do the gonging :) stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: untilafter the next bell
    Calvino Rabeni: 5 sounds better
    stevenaia Michinaga: gonggggggggggggggggggggg
Paradise Tennant: smiles all round at everyone's heart
    --BELL--
    stevenaia Michinaga: gong
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: thank you really enjoyed that .. have Rita Chiarelli just wailing on the cd player and directed my thoughts to each one in turn in this circle :)
Paradise Tennant: holding each in my mind in a "meta" kind of way :)
Paradise Tennant: but that was a fast 5 minutes :)
stevenaia Michinaga: nice, the warmth an open heart can bring , I turned the music on as a followup to help my heard dance a bit now
    stevenaia Michinaga: wonderful site, Paradise
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes .. meditating with your body rocking to the blues .. never really tried that before :)
Paradise Tennant: rita closed the show tonight I have heard her before .. old time but she took her voice so high the instrument could not follow .. dog whistle high!
Calvino Rabeni: I enjoyed the 5 quite a bit .. it ended in an unusual way, by looking at animal tracks in the dew
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/
Paradise Tennant: you were traveling ...
Calvino Rabeni: At night, moonlight reflecting off dew can reveal the tracks of creatures who inhabit the night ... I never knew that before
Calvino Rabeni: During the day it's too bright to see
    Calvino Rabeni: such subtle marks
Calvino Rabeni: of the passage of some sentient being
Calvino Rabeni: with its own agenda
Paradise Tennant: listens trying to paint the scene in her imagination
stevenaia Michinaga: moon painting the water
stevenaia Michinaga: sounds like it should look like poetry
    Paradise Tennant: nature's prose :)
    Calvino Rabeni: :)
    Calvino Rabeni: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: probably happens more often than we care to seee
Paradise Tennant: well so much .. compelling beauty .. we whizz by in preoccupation that could stop us in our tracks if we just slowed down a bit :)
stevenaia Michinaga: gets us back to time...smiles
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: I am having a yawn attack, time to get to sleep
Calvino Rabeni: I'm not sure I would have noticed it without the heart seeing pause
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: sweet dreams stevenaia :)
stevenaia Michinaga: night Cal, Paradise, Rhi
    Calvino Rabeni: _/!\_
    Calvino Rabeni: Stevenaia
    Rhiannon Dragoone: nite steve
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, this is more like what i show up here for
Paradise Tennant: yes need to do that more
Paradise Tennant: try at least once a day but it gets easier to find the flow the more you do it
    Calvino Rabeni: yes
Calvino Rabeni: and having a taste for it
Paradise Tennant: well it is subtle so an acquired taste
    Paradise Tennant: but ..
    Paradise Tennant: very powerful too
    Calvino Rabeni: compelling
Paradise Tennant: how did you find it rhia :)
Paradise Tennant: could you say more about what you saw cal :) found that really interesting :)
Calvino Rabeni: I stood up, opened the door to outside, wearing socks so I checked whether the ground were wet ... seeking some cold night air
Calvino Rabeni: noticed the few rain drops and the thin coat of dew, and that there were marks in the dew like fingerprints
Rhiannon Dragoone: it was just a feeling of peace
Rhiannon Dragoone: And companionship, acceptance; which was in blessed contrast to the earlier part of the meeting
Calvino Rabeni: those were the tracks of some animal, along with a boot mark or too, and I imagined the heft of a very large racoon
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
    Calvino Rabeni: nice contrast Rhiannon
Calvino Rabeni: and to hear it reflected from you also good
Calvino Rabeni: because I need the reminder
Rhiannon Dragoone: i live where there's snow, and i try to figure what animal made what track
Rhiannon Dragoone: sometimes, it's now easy
    Rhiannon Dragoone: *not
Paradise Tennant: smiles nature sleuthing :)
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: I'd like to take a tracking couse, and would if one were offered nearby, but I guess not enough to travel out of area
Paradise Tennant: we did a day like that in school once
Paradise Tennant: went out with a guide
Paradise Tennant: started by looking at all the various woodland creatures feet :)
    Paradise Tennant: was fun
Paradise Tennant: mostly saw rabbit tracks ..they're easy
Paradise Tennant: was up in the yukon cross country skiing once and saw a family of lynx
Paradise Tennant: and their tracks they are seldom seen :)
Paradise Tennant: went dog mushing too
Paradise Tennant: that is serious fun
Paradise Tennant: but there are hidden dangers
Paradise Tennant: they errr poop while they run so you have be agile and dodge when necessary it all comes flying back
    Calvino Rabeni: oh
    Calvino Rabeni: ?
    Paradise Tennant: dog sledding
    Paradise Tennant: 8 dogs
    Paradise Tennant: a sled
Paradise Tennant: have to control them with the help of the lead dog
Paradise Tennant: was told i was a natural musher :) the dogs liked me and I liked the dogs :) wonderful way to spend time .. the feeling of moving in a pack :)
Calvino Rabeni: I can imagine that and liking it
Paradise Tennant: smiles nice way to travel ...
Calvino Rabeni: I'm remembering a similar feeling ... running in a pack with humans
    Calvino Rabeni: for long distances
Calvino Rabeni: I remember at the time feeling ... this rates pretty high as a transcendent embodied feeling .... like good sex is sometimes
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes there is that too the sound of the breathing feet hitting the pavement and the sensation of moving through space together
Paradise Tennant: transcending the singular :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles think I will take some dancing classes .. :) tonight in song . all the singers could move with such flow :)
Paradise Tennant: was lovely to watch :)
Calvino Rabeni: There are a lot of ways to run with others
    Paradise Tennant: yes
Paradise Tennant: sometimes moving sometimes still .. but always by being open
    Paradise Tennant: hearted
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: which give the experience of a combined shared "internal" experience
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: i was standing in the moonlight looking at you pawprints in dew :) a flight of fancy :)
Paradise Tennant: the internal is really as you know in my opinon mostly what we have and it so so so so so big
    Calvino Rabeni: so big, that
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, to me, the whole experience of being out in the snow in nature makes you internal and more external at the same time
Calvino Rabeni: risking it sounding trite but internal's a misnomer and our bodies live inside our souls not the reverse
    Calvino Rabeni: yeah Rhi
Paradise Tennant: smiles at both cal and rhia :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Cal, i'm still reeling from earlir, when i was accused of making the conversations philosophical, so i won't do anything more than nod at that
Paradise Tennant: I have tried sometimes visualize what that is .. a soul .. always feel like i'm a wee person in a soap bubble
Rhiannon Dragoone: come to my discussions sometime; i've had several on the nature of the soul
Paradise Tennant: and what were the conclusions :) rhia how was the soul seen :)
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, curious about that ... what was the journey those discussions took?
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'll pass on that for now; i realize i still don't know enough about the group dynamic to say
Rhiannon Dragoone: maybe in private sometime, Cal, Paradise
    Calvino Rabeni: Sure sounds good
Rhiannon Dragoone: I'll say for now, though Cal, that the idea that we're souls that have bodies, rather than bodies that have soul is a pivotal question in philosophy
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'm going to try logging on to my full viewer again; wish me luck; if i'm not back while you are here, then its been a pleasure, Cal, Paradise, Edwnly
    Calvino Rabeni: good luck Rhi
    Paradise Tennant: good nite rhia
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: even the dog has gone to bed :) late here :) sitting in the dark .. everything still :)
Paradise Tennant: nice time .. have to admit I love music but quiet is good too
    --BELL--
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, i think i will be leaving
Rhiannon Dragoone: i'll try to be less closed off next t time
    Paradise Tennant: namaste rhia :)
Calvino Rabeni: I'd been to a holiday dinner and there was conversation and along with it a kind of aversion to silence
    Calvino Rabeni: _/!\_
    Calvino Rabeni: Rhi
Paradise Tennant: smiles so you are full of turkey ?
    Calvino Rabeni: thanks RHi
Rhiannon Dragoone: And i still find coming here an adventure; don't know if i will be welcomed or not
Rhiannon Dragoone: but i'll keep coming
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, not yet; still quite a bit left
    Calvino Rabeni nods
Paradise Tennant: well life is meant to be an adventure :)
Calvino Rabeni: we're built for adventure I think
Rhiannon Dragoone: i come here to share experiences, like urs Cal; and not to be an object of criticism or to be objectivfied
Rhiannon Dragoone: And its only been 3 ppl, but we spent an hour and a half on me being a problem
Rhiannon Dragoone: i can go to my father for that
Calvino Rabeni: Yes that's what this place is for, Rhi, and if you have that experience its
Calvino Rabeni: oh, one thing to know
Calvino Rabeni: is the contemplative dynamics are better in the smaller group
Calvino Rabeni: when there are fewer people
    Calvino Rabeni: its more intimate
Calvino Rabeni: we don't seem to be able to manifest it in larger meetings, for whatever reason that might be
Paradise Tennant: would be easier with longer meditation sessions maybe for large groups a longer pause to center everyone
Calvino Rabeni: That makes sense to me
Calvino Rabeni: the more people the more complex mix of energies to be centered
Calvino Rabeni: so yes a longer time may help
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Calvino Rabeni: as I feel when I sit with a group, it seems necessary to center myself in relationship with each of the other attendees
Paradise Tennant: smiles do that in business meetings
Paradise Tennant: focus a bit on everyone at the table :) helps !
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, each one is a different story
Paradise Tennant: speaking of which edwnly :) have you been to PAB often ?
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Calvino Rabeni: This seems like a good place to transition to whatever we're doing next
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: Take care, Paradise ... a pleasure as always.
    Calvino Rabeni: _/!\_
    Paradise Tennant: namaste :) cal
Paradise Tennant: smiles at edwnly who seems to be afk :) namaste dropping you a notecard though I am sure you will likely already have one .. nice to see you :) hope to see you again :)
