2010.11.28 13:00 - Wheels go round and round...

The Guardian for this meeting was Maxine Walden. The comments are by Maxine Walden.

This interesting session demonstrates the many layers of conversation which may be going on at the same time: here we begin with some differing considerations of Time, along with an invitation, as I perceived to become arbitrary or argumentative or absolute, a situation which I believe was side-stepped.  All during the hour I was there Rhiannon stood near one of the pillars, which appeared to me to be her compliance with my and others' concern from the week before. But after I left, the log suggests that she made clear her sense of grievance, as the reader can discern.  One lesson for me here is how different perspectives indeed shape different realities, but as well, how grievance operates.

    Dash Earthboy: hey there!
    Maxine Walden: hi, Dath.
    Maxine Walden: Dash
Maxine Walden: sorry, just getting settled here.
Dash Earthboy: had to bow out early this morning
Dash Earthboy: i'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...I really love to watch them roll
Maxine Walden: early this morning? here at the 7am meeting?
    Dash Earthboy: yes
Maxine Walden: ah, yes, have you been to many of these meetings, such as this mornings?
Dash Earthboy: many is a relative term isn't it?
Maxine Walden: I only ask to check whether you are aware that we record these conversations on a chatlog and post that on a wiki; so I need to make sure to have your permission to post your contributions or delete them if you so wish/
Maxine Walden: But you may have already been asked about that...
Dash Earthboy: yes permission is granted
    Maxine Walden: ah, good!
    Dash Earthboy: hey Rhiaanon
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Dash
    Maxine Walden: hi, Rhiannon
Tara Lacrima: hi Maxine, Hi Dash
    Dash Earthboy: hi Tara
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Hi Maxine
    Maxine Walden: hi, SophiaSharon
    Maxine Walden: or/er Tara :)
    Tara Lacrima: hehe
Rhiannon Dragoone: I don't see Sophia on my radar. where is she?
Maxine Walden: ah, I see in Tara's bubble a SophiaSharon name as well
    Rhiannon Dragoone: oh i c
    Maxine Walden: :)
Dash Earthboy: i'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...I really love to watch them roll
Tara Lacrima: thought I would try this account out today here, I've been avoiding bringing her to pab
Maxine Walden: ah, glad to see her Tara.
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, so ur sophia's alt?
Tara Lacrima: and of course you have my permission to post her text to the wiki lol
Maxine Walden: Yes, Dash, could you explain 'the wheels going round and round'; not quite sure what you mean?
    Maxine Walden: thanks, Tara !!
    Tara Lacrima: grins
Dash Earthboy: guess you're not familiar with John Lennon then?
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, the song where he dropped out?
Maxine Walden: well, yes, but maybe not quite the angle you are mentioning
    Dash Earthboy: i c
Dash Earthboy: it's another way of "being" in the moment
    Maxine Walden: ah...yes....OK
Maxine Walden: (sorry, seems I have lots of lag today)
    Dash Earthboy: hey Qt
    Qt Core: hi all
    Maxine Walden: hi, Qt
    Tara Lacrima: hi Qt :)
Dash Earthboy: i was in a very spiritual mood this morning
Maxine Walden: care to say more, Dash?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Dash, yes, another way of being in the moment, but Lennon specifically makes reference to "no longer playing the game," i.e., no longer being productive
Rhiannon Dragoone: I think we can be productive and be in the moment
Dash Earthboy: after meditating at the Prison Dharma zendo I had come here in hopes of finding some sparkling conversation along spiritual lines
Maxine Walden: and were you disappointed or affirmed in your hope?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, at the risk of sounding philosophical, i'm reminded of Buddha's Middle Path as my response to the "wheels going 'round and 'round"
Dash Earthboy: but instead I found talk of "timeless time" which to me is as non-sequitor as "unconditional love" and "miliatary intelligence"
Rhiannon Dragoone: i think timeless time makes perfect sense
Maxine Walden: ah, must have been disappointed, Dash.
Rhiannon Dragoone: Dash, was that yesterday's?
Dash Earthboy: so I ended up singing some spiritual songs to some listeners
    --BELL--
    Tara Lacrima: :)
Dash Earthboy: that was at the 7 AM meeting where I heard the conversation
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, i missed that one, but i came in on the tail end of a discussion about experiencing time
Rhiannon Dragoone: And it was about shared experiences; maybe you should take the talk of "timeless time" that way. We can feel ourselves outside of time, and it's hard to describe that
Tara Lacrima: how do you see time Dash?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Hi Qt, Cal, i don't think i said hi to you
Maxine Walden: Yes, some of us are trying to think of various aspects of time, and one is to lose all sense of time, such as when into a good book or film, or perhaps even meditation. That might be an eg of timeless time
Qt Core: no, but np, if we keep greetings everyone we'll lose so much time ;-)
    Tara Lacrima: heh
    Maxine Walden: :)
Dash Earthboy: time to me is part of the atmosphere
    Maxine Walden: ah?
Rhiannon Dragoone: There are times where objectively time stands still. Like ur doing something for hours and it's only been minutes
Rhiannon Dragoone: Or you can drive 300 miles, and get there in a couple of hours w/o breaking the speed limit
Maxine Walden: yes, Rhiannon, that is a striking experience for me when that happens.
Maxine Walden: ah, have not done 300 miles in so shart a time!
Tara Lacrima: atmospheric, bent by space, yes, local in that way
Maxine Walden: not yet, anyway :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, but the thing is, the experience of time can be non local, or "warped" by our consciousness
    Maxine Walden: indeed, Rhia
Rhiannon Dragoone: And maybe "timeless time" is another way ot talking about these non-local experiences
Dash Earthboy: our cognizance of time does not alter its essence
Tara Lacrima: subjective perception infulence the experiencing of time :)
    Tara Lacrima: influencing*
Rhiannon Dragoone: Dash, does it have an essence? When you try to define it, it's always paradoxical
Dash Earthboy: yet we can waste time in the same way we pollute air
Maxine Walden: One of the questions seems to be whether time is altered by our perception of it..., as Tara and I think Rhia are suggesting
Tara Lacrima: that would imply there is a static thing as 'time'
    Tara Lacrima: in its locality
Dash Earthboy: that's kind of like the tree falling noise if nobody hears it idea
    Rhiannon Dragoone: What would Tara?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Which was really a way of introducing God into perceptions when we can't perceive
Maxine Walden: whether time is a function of our awareness; sounds strange, but the function of the observer seems to affect outcomes, and even time perhaps
Rhiannon Dragoone: Maxine, it's not so strange; even hard nosed scientists recognize time is a function of observation, which changes in locale and velocity. I just think it goes deeper than that
Tara Lacrima: well, in my unformed view, change occurs in time, does awareness need change?
Rhiannon Dragoone: awareness is now time changes, Tara
    Rhiannon Dragoone: imo
Dash Earthboy: the observer effects the portions consumed by the oserver
Maxine Walden: well, I agree, Rhia. Care to speak about the depth?
    Rhiannon Dragoone: *how
Rhiannon Dragoone: Maxine, sure, if its ok
Tara Lacrima: i agree Rhiannon, thats why the idea is still unformed to me
Rhiannon Dragoone: I think that our consciousness, when non-local, can transcend time periods, and can create time distortion, which is real
Rhiannon Dragoone: That goes beyond the relativistic notions of time and perceiver
    Maxine Walden: hi, steve
Rhiannon Dragoone: We can do past life regressins, move up and down our timelines, and we can slow things down, or speed them uup
    Qt Core: hi stevenaia
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi steve
    Tara Lacrima: hi stevenaia
    Dash Earthboy: hi steve
Rhiannon Dragoone nods at Tara--->idea stillunformed in me
stevenaia Michinaga: hello, DAsh, Maxine, Rhi, Tae, Qt
    Tara Lacrima: smiles
Maxine Walden: ah, takes some thinking about for me, Rhia, but your point is interesting.
    Rhiannon Dragoone: ty Maxine
Maxine Walden: Steve, we are contemplating various aspects of time, whether our perception/consciousness shapes, defines time or not
Maxine Walden: Some wonderings about timeless time as well
stevenaia Michinaga: is time anything but perception
Dash Earthboy: for me the question of time vs our awareness of it was answered millenia ago with the concept that one cannot take two steps into the same river
    stevenaia Michinaga: (and magic, ofcourse)
Maxine Walden: ah...good question...seems to be at the heart of our wonderings
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, i don't think it has an essence, even that one; when we try to define we invariably come up with paradoxes
Dash Earthboy: the river exists without our defining it
Tara Lacrima: a part of me wants to say, time in the physical world is the same depending on it's locality, just our perception of it changes, another part of me saying thats ridiculous, that we are all traveling together, linked, with worlds similiar to the other, but unique
    --BELL--
    Maxine Walden: :) Tara
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, Tara, even time in the physical world isn't the same, there is no simultaneity in local space; in non-local space there is
Tara Lacrima: I'm trying to keep my observations on an experiental level, its hard
Rhiannon Dragoone: You can be 3000 miles away and predictably make a particle spin he way you choose, measured in less tht nano-seconds
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Sage
Maxine Walden: (just to say that every 15 min we do have a 90 second pause which we are in right now...as seen by the mist in the fountain)
Tara Lacrima: i measure that, measure that changes it
    Dash Earthboy: hi sage
Tara Lacrima: i cant*** i meant
Tara Lacrima: sorry, the bell :(
    Tara Lacrima: hi Sage
Maxine Walden: 90 second pause is over
Tara Lacrima: I meant to say, research shows that measuring the spin changes it
Tara Lacrima: or something, im not a physicist :D
    Maxine Walden: hi, Sage
Rhiannon Dragoone: Tara, yes, the observer effect; Heisenberg's uncertainty principle
stevenaia Michinaga: true, I am not a physicist, just an observers
Rhiannon Dragoone: But i too am trying to keep it experiential; i've been criticized here for being too 'philosophical.' Still this reseearch helps our discussion, imo
Sage Crescendo: sounds like you are also dabbling in quantum entaglement
    Tara Lacrima: giggles
Rhiannon Dragoone: Sage, yes, quantum entanglement
Maxine Walden: seems we are, Sage
Rhiannon Dragoone: That's non-local space and time; explains the impossible, like simultaneity and helps us understand eternity--timesless time
stevenaia Michinaga: are these theories "thing" based or "time " based? does time spin?
    Tara Lacrima: brb
Rhiannon Dragoone: What do you mean, steve, "time spins"
Rhiannon Dragoone: I don't think i's either thing or time based; but on the observer/observed relationship
stevenaia Michinaga: well do quantum particles spin? they are thing, how does that relate to time?
stevenaia Michinaga: not sure of the relationship
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, quantm particls spin, but whether they are "things" is another question
Dash Earthboy: stevi, that kinda reminds me of my question a few days ago "Where does my time go when it runs out?"
Rhiannon Dragoone: And we measure time by their spin
Rhiannon Dragoone: Dash, "down the drain," of course
    Dash Earthboy: ???
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, that we do often with time, measure it, feel it , observe the passing of it, watch it run out
    Rhiannon Dragoone giggles at Dash
Maxine Walden: there are some interesting thoughts that there is no linear time. But only Now
stevenaia Michinaga: if only we could collect what goes down that drain
Maxine Walden: hi, Eliza, we are talking about lots of aspects of time
Rhiannon Dragoone: There is both; you can be "in time" and go "through time."
Rhiannon Dragoone: The one is the now, the other is progression across linear time
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Maxine, and everyone.... thought I might sneak in to listen for a moment :)
Tara Lacrima: back and hi Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: great
Maxine Walden: glad you came, Eliza
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Eliza
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Eliza
Rhiannon Dragoone: missed you coming in
Maxine Walden: But, some might suggest, Rhia, that going 'through time' is really experiencing the Now in a specific way
Maxine Walden: that the past is a memory and the future a fantasy
Dash Earthboy: well, rhiannon your answer wasbetter than the "I don't know" I got a few days ago
Tara Lacrima: hey thats my answer
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, i can't help but thinki of Bergson--sorry--and his notion of duree, tht there is an experience of duration, an kind of temporal flow between past, present and future
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Dash, thank you
Maxine Walden: might be...but wonder about that as a quality of Now
Rhiannon Dragoone: I think Einstein proved that the past and future are real
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, then what is "Now?"
Rhiannon Dragoone: I don't necessarily disagree
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Arisia!
stevenaia Michinaga: Grand Central NOW, where past and present flows to the future
    Tara Lacrima: hi Arisia
    Arisia Vita: Hi all
Maxine Walden: difficult to pin down, Now, but maybe all we have is this very moment...and then the next, etc...and we construct all the linearity
    Dash Earthboy: hey ari
Rhiannon Dragoone: ok, steve, that is similar to duree, and to how *I* experience time
    Maxine Walden: hi, Ari
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ari :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I keep looing for a metaphor as a crutch to help me understand time
    stevenaia Michinaga: *looking
Dash Earthboy: songs have been written about th river of time
Eliza Madrigal: for me a waterfall comes close.... droplets and yet rushing...
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, Maxine, what about the process of texting? Is it a moment? It can be measured in seconds, yet i'm experiencing it now.
    Dash Earthboy: that's one metaphor
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longue_durée
    stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm
Rhiannon Dragoone: my metaphors are a river and a tree--with all the branches representing alternative realities
stevenaia Michinaga: river somehow is a nice metaphor
Qt Core: have to go, bye all
stevenaia Michinaga: rivers have branches too
    Dash Earthboy: bye Qt
    Rhiannon Dragoone: cu Qt
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Qt
    Tara Lacrima: bye Qt
    Maxine Walden: bye Qt
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Qt :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, yes, the metaphors don't have to be mutually exculsive, and the river metaphor express time's "flow."
Maxine Walden: not sure I can creatively say more right now, Rhia...let me think about it
    Rhiannon Dragoone: ok, Maxine
Dash Earthboy: so Maxine, if I say "I smell the rubber burning...?"
Rhiannon Dragoone: no final answers anyway. :)
    --BELL--
    Dash Earthboy: stil thinking Maxine?
Sage Crescendo: There are many time analogies. The arrow, the river, the one way street.
Sage Crescendo: In relativity discussions, we use world lines
    Anastasia Genesis: Hi everyone
    Arisia Vita: welcome Ana
    Tara Lacrima: hi Anastasia
    Dash Earthboy: hey Anastasia
    Eliza Madrigal: Hello Anastasia
Maxine Walden: :), always trying to think, Dash. But not sure I would have much nore to say, certainly no 'final' answers...and sometimes it is just better to listen to others...
Rhiannon Dragoone: The arrow has a problem, as they have observed a paticle going backwards in time, the river can have a flow in a direction, but can reverse itself
Sage Crescendo: In the end, I can tell you the way i see it. You read the words and it may make sense, but my way works for me because its my experience and you have to formulate your own
Rhiannon Dragoone: World lines is like the branches of a tree, or the branches of a river
stevenaia Michinaga: this reminds me of Pila's story from last week, (not to be repetative)
stevenaia Michinaga: There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, "Morning, boys, how's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, "What the hell is water?"
Rhiannon Dragoone: Sage, well sure, but we're here tgo share
stevenaia Michinaga: we are fish in time
    Eliza Madrigal smiles @ Steve
    Sage Crescendo smiles
    Tara Lacrima: :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, thank you, i had problems here last week, and i's nice o get a chance to listen to responses to that story
Sage Crescendo: all the more reason to give our perspectives, as they may help others put it together in their own way
stevenaia Michinaga: but that's the mystery, not the metaphor
    Sage Crescendo: :)
Anastasia Genesis: That is such a lovely fish story
Rhiannon Dragoone: Steve, every enquiry begins with a mystery
Rhiannon Dragoone: Sage, or we might change ours. :)
    Sage Crescendo: exactly
Dash Earthboy: this has been a very satisfying conversation
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, hoping 9 brains are better at this than mine
Dash Earthboy: must head out now...peace to all
    Tara Lacrima: bye Dash
    Anastasia Genesis: bye Dash
Sage Crescendo: you are doing pretty well in my opinion, steve
    stevenaia Michinaga: giggles
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, yes, ur contributions are valuable
Rhiannon Dragoone: please don't sell urself short
    stevenaia Michinaga: just curious
    Rhiannon Dragoone: tc Dash
    Rhiannon Dragoone: nice meeting you
Maxine Walden: our being able to speak together with curiosity and mutual respect helps us all to appreciate each other and feel enriched, it seems to me
Rhiannon Dragoone: yes, i'm glad that this was done today. I've had mixed experiences trying to share here and today was really awesome. Thank you all.
Rhiannon Dragoone: And i've missed out on previous time discussions.
Maxine Walden: thank you, Rhia, yes we have had a good time today. Think we all appreciate it!
stevenaia Michinaga: they will continue, I suspect
Eliza Madrigal: very much so :) that would be great
Rhiannon Dragoone: Given my mixed experiences, steve, i take that one day at a time; each time i come here is different
Arisia Vita: each day of living is different...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Tara Lacrima: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: if it weren;t so Rhi, I woudl not return either
Tara Lacrima: bye all, I have to go, have fun!
Anastasia Genesis: it is nice to meet people who are sensitive here I find
Rhiannon Dragoone: yes, but over time, there are things or people you can count on, Ari
    Anastasia Genesis: bye Tara
    Rhiannon Dragoone: CU Tara
    Tara Lacrima: :)
    Maxine Walden: bye Tara
Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Anastasia, i didn't see you come in
Eliza Madrigal: I need to be going as well but wonderful to muse on time today
Eliza Madrigal: thank you Maxine and everyone
Rhiannon Dragoone: Ana, yes, the sensitive people here make up for the insensitive ones
Maxine Walden: yes, thanks, Eliza, and take care
Rhiannon Dragoone: great listening to you, Eliza
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: bye for now and thanks :)
Anastasia Genesis: yes Rhi they certainly do
    Anastasia Genesis: bye Eliza
Sage Crescendo: I need to run off as well. Best wishes all
Maxine Walden: I will have to be going as well. Thanks for the great conversation. Be well, everyone.
    Maxine Walden: bye all
Anastasia Genesis: bye Maxine and Sage
    Anastasia Genesis: is everyone going?
Anastasia Genesis: and why are you hiding Rhi?
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, anastasia, its a long story. I'm on a text client, and i rezzed in a fountain and was told to sit, dress or leave. As i couldn't do the first two, i left
    Anastasia Genesis: LOL
Anastasia Genesis: that sounds so funny
Rhiannon Dragoone: Then last night, someone was mean to me, telling me i should leave cuz I couldn't sit and was tp'd to a cushion.
    Arisia Vita: funny?
Anastasia Genesis: so can you not rez in the fountain?
    --BELL--
    Anastasia Genesis: LOL
Rhiannon Dragoone: The group spent an hour and a half on me being a problem.
Rhiannon Dragoone: no, i don't think its funny; almost didn't come today cuz of it
    Anastasia Genesis: oh no!
Anastasia Genesis: oh please dont get offended
Anastasia Genesis: i am sure you are accustomed to different people with different attitudes
Anastasia Genesis: some open minded but not all
stevenaia Michinaga: I must get going, son's puter needs attention, see you soon
Rhiannon Dragoone: But tht's why i'm hiding, Ana, i'm 'a beautiful nude body tht is distracting,' and i can't sit, so i decided to hide behind this pole, so i could participate
    Anastasia Genesis: oh bye Steve
    Rhiannon Dragoone: cu Steve
Anastasia Genesis: i cannot understand why anyone would find a beautiful nude female distracting
Rhiannon Dragoone: not offended, Ana, except you asked why i was hiding behind the pole
Anastasia Genesis: altho to each his or her own
Rhiannon Dragoone: so the answer is so as to not disturb you all
Anastasia Genesis: yes i was just wondering as i see nothing wrong with anyone being naked
Anastasia Genesis: there is beauty in nudity too
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, ask Maxine, she was the one to tell me to sit or leave the first time
    Anastasia Genesis: LOL
Rhiannon Dragoone: but she was cool with me standing and hiding behind the pole
Anastasia Genesis: i cant ask her she has left now
Anastasia Genesis: next time try doing some pole dancing maybe they will feel better ... only joking of course
Anastasia Genesis: comes to mind as you said behind the pole
Anastasia Genesis: it is actually a column
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, she says that we're good, so as long as i can hide behind this pole, i will be fine
Anastasia Genesis: but what is in a name
    Anastasia Genesis: LOL
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, i've been criticized *for that* too
Anastasia Genesis: and can you not see anyone else here at all or even know who is here apart from the chat?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Ana, that's right; i can see ppl on my radar, and the chat, but i'm blind
Anastasia Genesis: oh good thing you have a radar at least
Rhiannon Dragoone: And it would take about fifteen minutes to direct me to be behind this pole, so i started out this way
Anastasia Genesis: as i can imagine being places with ppl you may wish to see or not wish to see and not knowing who is there or not
    Anastasia Genesis: LOL
Anastasia Genesis: excuse me for looking at it from a humourous perspective
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, the radar is actually better than on my full viewer
    Anastasia Genesis: oh great
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, ana, it would be funny, except it's been hurtful
Anastasia Genesis: seems like Arisia and Steve are still here
    Arisia Vita: yes
Anastasia Genesis: yes i can imagine how hurtful it must have been
Rhiannon Dragoone: Being told to leave; Brian actually went "Bye" when i was here last night
Anastasia Genesis: but in such cases as i am sure you already know
Anastasia Genesis: the only solution is to try to develop a thick skin
Rhiannon Dragoone: He refused to believe that i couldn't click on a cushion
Anastasia Genesis: if people dont like it then it is their problem
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, i have one, but was criticized for my strong reaction too
Anastasia Genesis: as there is no sign here saying no nudity
Rhiannon Dragoone: so it was 1 and 1/2 hours of criticizing me and dealing with me
Anastasia Genesis: oh no that sounds very painful
Anastasia Genesis: i am so sorry to hear that
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, it's more than that--lila, who has never seen me chat--accused me of being narcissisitic and trying to turn the convo into a philosophical one
Anastasia Genesis: and what is wrong with that?
    Anastasia Genesis: philosophy i mean
    Rhiannon Dragoone: beats me
Anastasia Genesis: makes more sense than senseless chit chat
Rhiannon Dragoone: she refused to go into it, and i didn't want to probe into my failings
Rhiannon Dragoone: much rather just go elsewhere
    Anastasia Genesis: oh no
Rhiannon Dragoone: But this has been uneven; today's was a nice experience and i've had a couple of nice ones here.
Anastasia Genesis: i'm afraid i cannot understand their attitude either and i am so sorry it must have been so painful and hurtful for you
    Anastasia Genesis: oh good finally
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, the facilitators, even Wol and Maxine, seem willing to welcome me
Anastasia Genesis: i have heard from friends that people here discuss good ways to live and one of the first important lessons IMHO is tolerance and respect
Rhiannon Dragoone: So as long as that keeps up, i'll keep coming back
    Anastasia Genesis: oh good
Anastasia Genesis: i sincerely hope you do
    Arisia Vita: me too
Rhiannon Dragoone: i came here for the tolerance and respect; just finished an unpleasant experience at a sim that touts those values, but goes against them everyday
Anastasia Genesis: and i am certain many of us here have no problem at all with either nudity or with you, not that i can speak on anyone's behalf of course as i am quite new here myself
    Rhiannon Dragoone: thanks, Ari
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, it was my nudity & my standing
Rhiannon Dragoone: I'm 'statuesque,' 'a beautiful nude body.'
Anastasia Genesis: now you make me laugh again apologies but i cant help it
Rhiannon Dragoone: They don't seem aware of how objectifying that is
Anastasia Genesis: have these people never visited museums with lovely statuesque greek male and female nude gods?
Rhiannon Dragoone: And how it's like being mean to th blind, crippled girl, too
    Anastasia Genesis: oh no!
Rhiannon Dragoone: They have, they just don't want it in the fountain or on a cushion by them
Arisia Vita: Rhi and I are good friends, I'm proud to say, so she knows I accept her for who she is...
Rhiannon Dragoone: That was Brian, mocking my inability to click on a cushion
Anastasia Genesis: but i am sure it may be only a couple of people here not the majority
Anastasia Genesis: i dont know Brian i dont think i have ever met him
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, so far only Brian, lila and Maxine, and Maxine has changed; she treated me well today, and notice, she didn't ask me to sit down or join the circle; she knew i couldn't
Anastasia Genesis: yes so at least that sounds like progress
    Anastasia Genesis: which is good
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, i muted him and if he's here again, i'll ignore him or leave
    Anastasia Genesis: LOL
Anastasia Genesis: i will keep that in mind if i ever meet this Brian then
Rhiannon Dragoone: The facilitator tried to put a positive frame on him, so maybe he'll act better next time
Anastasia Genesis: i find it strange though to hear and i have noticed it myself that people assume others are simply trying to show off when they are not
Anastasia Genesis: sometimes some people make too many false assumptions
    --BELL--
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, it shows more about them than you
    Anastasia Genesis: oh yes certainly
    stevenaia Michinaga: back, sort of
    Arisia Vita: wb
    Anastasia Genesis: wb Steve
Rhiannon Dragoone: Brian actually said i owed it to the group to fix my technology; implying that i shouldn't come at all until i was presentable
Anastasia Genesis: what a lovely dress very elaborate
    Rhiannon Dragoone: wb Steve
Anastasia Genesis: your technology is no one's business
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, wish i could see it. Could you model it for me sometime, Steve?
    stevenaia Michinaga: thx
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, i have a friend who is on dialup, uses a text client.
Anastasia Genesis: it is very seductive too
Rhiannon Dragoone: And i'm on wireless, my controls are laggy and sometimes it takes a while to rez; was ejected from a discussion for not moving away from the center fast enough
Anastasia Genesis: like flowers and gossamer and only covers certain places
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, is tht ur flower dress, Steve?
Anastasia Genesis: in a pinky orangy tones with some white
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, I *love* that
Anastasia Genesis: then steve has a lovely titillating pink fur arm hug thing
Anastasia Genesis: like a powder puff on the upper arm
Rhiannon Dragoone: thank you for describing i for me, Ana
    Anastasia Genesis: yw
Anastasia Genesis: it is a work of art in my opinion
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Anastasia Genesis: someone very clever crafted it
Rhiannon Dragoone: it's been an eye opener using a text client; i now appreciate what the handicapped must go through; i appreciate your help, while I' blind
    Anastasia Genesis: oooooooooooooooo
Arisia Vita: wow, even better when standing
Rhiannon Dragoone: It's part of what SL is for, i think
    stevenaia Michinaga: and dancing
Anastasia Genesis: now Steve is standing and the dress moves and settles so nicely amazing
    Anastasia Genesis: yes and dancing
    Rhiannon Dragoone: wow, cool
    Anastasia Genesis: a dream Steve!
    stevenaia Michinaga: laughs
stevenaia Michinaga: no, just a good personal shopper
    Rhiannon Dragoone laughs
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, i have one of those; a gf of mine picks out AO's and things for me.
    stevenaia Michinaga: me too
Anastasia Genesis: oh do you have a personal shopper on SL too?
Anastasia Genesis: that is so cool
Rhiannon Dragoone: kind of; it's just she likes to do avatar make overs as a hobby
stevenaia Michinaga: more of a friend who helps me shop
    stevenaia Michinaga: not a professional
Rhiannon Dragoone: steve, best kind of friend
Anastasia Genesis: i must say she has done an excellent job
    Anastasia Genesis: my complements
stevenaia Michinaga: some people knew I needed help
    Anastasia Genesis: he he
    Rhiannon Dragoone laughs
Anastasia Genesis: and did you think you needed help?
Rhiannon Dragoone: yeah, got that as a noob
stevenaia Michinaga: I don;t need to, I jsut accept it
    Anastasia Genesis: oh of course
Rhiannon Dragoone: best way to be; just accept

    stevenaia Michinaga: silly me
Anastasia Genesis: this is my second visit
Anastasia Genesis: so i am well informed
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, arisia, cool. Could you tell me when you facilitate? I would feel safer knowing the guardian is a friend
Arisia Vita: alas, I am the shy guardian...
Arisia Vita: so have no slot
    Anastasia Genesis: ah
