The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.
Which was 'almost' simply commented. Then that song played.

Sunshine Vayandar: yes also
Sunshine Vayandar: both ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: hmm so did you plan something for today? I am not sure if you said anything about that
Why take a pick between the two topics, when you can do both.
While researching, colating and documenting a catalog of how to keep (and increase) mental capacities into older ages (Riddles might be the medicine you need :). Got bombarded by stories of mental illness, suicides and demise.
Riddle Sideways: in this dualistic world we inhabit
Sunshine Vayandar nods and looks dualistic
Riddle Sideways: if one side is taken up (for study) then the other side is given existance
Riddle Sideways: so this week I was studying mental growth
Riddle Sideways: and was slapped with mental illnesses
Sunshine Vayandar: you are a student?
Riddle Sideways: I hope we all are students
Sunshine Vayandar: I don't think I ever finish school
Sunshine Vayandar: little bit slow and laggy - sorry if I seem too quiet hehe
Riddle Sideways: funny, I am trying to get a contract at a nearby school
Riddle Sideways: they asked for my transcripts
Riddle Sideways: I asked what the shipping costs of stone tablets was
Sunshine Vayandar: and did u go see them?
Sunshine Vayandar: what would u teach?

Riddle Sideways: main character (of book) falls asleep in a meadow looking at the stars
Riddle Sideways: visits many different planets
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bruce
Riddle Sideways: Morning Bruc
Sunshine Vayandar: hi Bruce
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Bruce :)
Riddle Sideways: not just earthlike planets
Bruce Mowbray: Hello and good day, everyone.
Archmage Atlantis: Guten Abend, Gaya, Riddle, Abend, Sun, Bruce
Riddle Sideways: (see sun, ppl come later on my mornings)
Archmage Atlantis: Et tu, Yaku
Riddle Sideways: in the book, one chapter is visiting a huge planet with lots of gravity
Riddle Sideways: so the people there are little bees
Riddle Sideways: with hive minds
Riddle Sideways: each mind unit carries what it can hold
Gaya Ethaniel: Hive minds?
Riddle Sideways: that chapter has stuck with me
Riddle Sideways: Hive mind = together me make a big united brain
Riddle Sideways: each with only a bit in intelligence
Riddle Sideways: networks, networking
Riddle Sideways: Bee-ing
Gaya Ethaniel: ah :)
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: Just thought that wikipedia would have helped me find that book by now
Archmage Atlantis: Perhaps it is still to b4 written, Riddler
Yakuzza Lethecus: does hive mind mean that we can just bee ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: we don´t have to grasp to understand what is anymore
Yakuzza Lethecus: our queen will somehow fix everything for us as long as we bring pllen ?
Riddle Sideways: ah, you must work very hard as a bee
Yakuzza Lethecus: work, yes, but think ?
Sunshine Vayandar: beeing is then work?
Riddle Sideways: to bee only 1/1000th of a brain you must unite with the others
Riddle Sideways: not let us down
Gaya Ethaniel: brb
Riddle Sideways: Bee all that you can Bee
Sunshine Vayandar: yay I see you Riddle ;)
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Eliza.
Riddle Sideways: Hi Eliz
Archmage Atlantis: I knew that, bee. no honey to share
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Hello RiddleBeeThis :) Hi Bruce, Sun, Arch, Gaya, Ya :)))
Sunshine Vayandar: hi eliza ;)

Gaya Ethaniel: back
Riddle Sideways: not sure the topic got started yet
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Eliza :)
Riddle Sideways: wb
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Gaya :)
Gaya Ethaniel: ty
Riddle Sideways: rememiorable books that helped shape you
Riddle Sideways: and why you should not reread them
Eliza Madrigal: hmmm...
a. Gaya changes av to a beautiful bee (as opposed to my comic bee)
b. negative meaning? calls for more study.
Bruce Mowbray: The expression "Hive Mind" is usually taken to be negative. . .
Riddle Sideways: oh very nice, gaya
Eliza Madrigal: oh, Gaya...very dramatic
Bruce Mowbray: are we thinking of Hive Mind as having positive aspects here?
Riddle Sideways: ummm, never heard of it in the negative.
Bruce Mowbray thinks -- Wow! Gorgeous wings!
Eliza Madrigal: negative would be like "group think"
Bruce Mowbray: sort of like the Borg in Star Trek -- no individuality.
Eliza Madrigal: zombies :)
Eliza Madrigal: zombie hive mind, hehe
Gaya Ethaniel: Bee look :P
Bruce Mowbray: On the other hand, Mind Melding is thought to be a positive thing an intense and immersive form of communication.
Eliza Madrigal nods
Bruce Mowbray: wb, Gaya.
Eliza Madrigal grins at Gaya... what a cute AO too
Eliza Madrigal: I honestly think we're naturally networking creatures and we've got most things upside down re individuality
Eliza Madrigal: so just stop trying to be so individual and then distinctions are more clear
Eliza Madrigal: something like that :)
Riddle Sideways: favorite bumper sticker "who are you to tell me to question authority"
Eliza Madrigal: but then I look around at this house that only I seem to be cleaning...hmmm....
Gaya Ethaniel: lol
Eliza Madrigal laughs
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: great society and communal living are great until nobody but you cleans the bathroom
Gaya Ethaniel: rofl
Riddle Sideways: but if each of us cleans one room
Riddle Sideways: this mansion will be a great place
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: but jack got a different opinion of clean then jane
Eliza Madrigal: for sure! :)
Riddle Sideways: one of the cleaners in my house is only 5 foot tall
Riddle Sideways: does not clean above that line
Gaya Ethaniel: heheh
Eliza Madrigal: maybe I should try that
Riddle Sideways: it takes a village to raise us up
Riddle Sideways: some better at some things
Riddle Sideways: and please remember to dust off the philosophers
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Riddle Sideways: sorry people... just re-read my comments and realize a chatterbot with good AIML could have written better
Gaya Ethaniel: AIML?
Riddle Sideways: Art intel markup lang
Gaya Ethaniel: I think you did well :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh I hope we don't have to 'review' ourselves too much... hah...
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, cute Tricksy, where'd you come from
Gaya Ethaniel: ah ... yes he's on my shoulder :)
An extra voice "Tricksy" (Faelnic(sp?) reintarnated more profoundly?) adds in.
Note: that the log does not auto-pickup the Tricksy comments. Eliza pastes them.
Eliza Madrigal: Tricksy: "Risk more than others think is safe -Care more than others think is wise - Dream more than others think is practical - Expect more than others think is possible"
Riddle Sideways: oh hi Tricksy
Eliza Madrigal: nice conscience
Eliza Madrigal: ah coffee finished... back to work then :) Thanks everyone
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye eliza
Riddle Sideways: thanks and bye eliza
Gaya Ethaniel: Enjoy your day Eliza :)
Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Eliza.
Yakuzza Lethecus: bruce: how did you come along with your new housemate ?
Bruce Mowbray: Well, Dutch arrived late yesterday afternoon.
Bruce Mowbray: Just before a big ice storm.
Bruce Mowbray: We've had great talks -- and I have just introduced him to SL and PaB.
Bruce Mowbray: !!!!
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Riddle Sideways: now both will want to be on computer
Yakuzza Lethecus: nice, was he a bit alienated from a virtual world ?
Gaya Ethaniel: heheh
Gaya Ethaniel: Feels like time for me to go and do some dusting :P
Riddle Sideways: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks everyone :)
Riddle Sideways: bye and thanks
Bruce Mowbray: You mean, Yaku, that he might not be able to accept virtual reality yet?
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye gaya
Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Gaya.
Yakuzza Lethecus: may the dust be with you
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
--BELL--
Bruce Mowbray: Wait -- Let me ask hi -- Dutch can answer for himself.
Yakuzza Lethecus: i never successfuly brought someone out of rl into sl
Bruce Mowbray: Dutch is saying this:
Bruce Mowbray: In some respects he has lived much of his life in a TYPE of virtual relaity (he is now talking)....
Bruce Mowbray: .... and I am now working on better adapting to real life better than I ever have before. . . So, that is my focus right now"...
Bruce Mowbray: :" But I am not adverse to SL."
Bruce Mowbray: (end of Dutch talking).
Bruce Mowbray: Same with me, Yaku -- I've never been successful in introducing a RL person to SL. . . Why do you supose that is?
Bruce Mowbray: suppose*
Riddle Sideways thinks about the ppl that have tried to get me into WOW
Riddle Sideways: I did not like... their presentation
Bruce Mowbray wonders what "WOW" is?
Riddle Sideways: but have gotten a few ppl into some virtual worlds
Riddle Sideways: World of Watcraft
Bruce Mowbray: World of Warcraft --- srey.
Bruce Mowbray has never been in WOW.
Riddle Sideways: don't
Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Riddle Sideways: is a time trap
Riddle Sideways: however, have gotten several biz types into virtual meetings worlds
Riddle Sideways: gotten some musicians into virtual concert worlds
Riddle Sideways: but mostly they pat you on the head and say "that's nice"
Bruce Mowbray: yes, I know that one well.
Riddle Sideways: most do the same with religions you try to introduce
Riddle Sideways: or new kinds of cheeze
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: please stay and chat, but I need to go edit the voices (in my head or just my chat box)
[a new script on my plot was typing same message every 10 sec.]
Bruce Mowbray: I also need to go.
Bruce Mowbray: May all be happy and safe today.
Riddle Sideways: and may it come to you too
Riddle Sideways: argh, must go silence this new script
Riddle Sideways: bye (for now)
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye
--BELL--
buxar Shamen: hellow arch :) hellow koya
As you commentator ends.
Let the lyrics of what was playing in the background be entered into the log.
Note:
/me was 15 years young when the album "Revolver" came and shaped the future.
In hindsight, knowing that got to get you into my life was a call to join us.
"Tomorrow Never Knows"
A single chord song.
A sound that was not part of musical training, but was a deep deep part of all.
Where go, what be, how am... after hearing (at 15)
"Tomorrow Never Knows"
Turn off your mind, relax
and float down stream
It is not dying
It is not dying
Lay down all thought
Surrender to the void
It is shining
It is shining
That you may see
The meaning of within
It is being
It is being
That love is all
And love is everyone
It is knowing
It is knowing
That ignorance and hate
May mourn the dead
It is believing
It is believing
But listen to the
color of your dreams
It is not living
It is not living
Or play the game
existence to the end
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
Of the beginning
