The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

Wait, has that title been used before by someone? It was inspired by Steve's comment about hearing the birds during a pause. Steve's comments were partly to answer a new visitor today who had questions about what it was like to stop.

    Sunshine Vayandar: hi there ;)
    Adams Rubble: Hello Sunshine :)
Sunshine Vayandar: hi - how are you ;)

    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hanging out, being kind and curious
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and direct and honest
Sunshine Vayandar: hmm I might be able to do that ;p
Adams Rubble: One doesn't try to become a guardian; it happens to one it seems
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins
    Sunshine Vayandar: how so?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: good, hang out and it will happen!

Adams Rubble: There is a builletin board
Adams Rubble: it is around here someplace
Adams Rubble: It has Kira events though
Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs at the vagueness of us.
Adams Rubble: there are not many scheduled Play as Being events other than the four sessions
Sunshine Vayandar scratches head and things about the vagueness ;p
    Sunshine Vayandar: *thinks
Adams Rubble: that is plenty to keep us busy :)
Corvuscorva Nightfire: well, that leaves us a great deal of creative room..but this moment, I think the only "event" is this one that you know of.
Adams Rubble: there is a time session at 6am SLT Fridays
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Where did you leanr of that one?
    Adams Rubble: the time session?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: the noon opening

    Corvuscorva Nightfire: ooo...adams, I'm sorry...
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: I wasn't clear.
Adams Rubble: we don;t notice mispelling usually
Sunshine Vayandar: hmm I was here at one of the sessions and I stayed after that for a while
Corvuscorva Nightfire nods...well your question about where we post them is a good one.
Sunshine Vayandar: and Aphrodite came with a balloon over her head
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and perhaps we need to consider it!
Sunshine Vayandar: and was "shamelessly advertising" it
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;p
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs
    Sunshine Vayandar: hehe
Adams Rubble: We need to hire Aphrodite for the Art History workshop
Sunshine Vayandar: we were busy with a jam session with Yaku and Boxy
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: as a billboard?
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Adams Rubble: :) I was thinking of shaless advertising
    Adams Rubble: shameless
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: indeed!

stevenaia Michinaga: hi Horia, nice group tag "Cut Me Own Throat"
Horia Naxos: no, first time, adams
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I've dragged him from a cuppa coffee elsewhere in sl.
Adams Rubble: let me give you a note card
Corvuscorva Nightfire: to hang out with us today.
Horia Naxos: corvus was so kind to tell me about this group
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Adams Rubble: :_)
Horia Naxos: and now i'm curious :)
Adams Rubble: Did Corvi tell you we record our conversations and put them on a Wiki?
    Horia Naxos: yes, she did
stevenaia Michinaga: wonders what else she told you to get you express interest in joining us
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Adams Rubble: Sun, there is a bulletin board right next to the pavilion here that has the art of being show on it
Horia Naxos: ... well, she told me about an exercise of 9 seconds
Sunshine Vayandar: oh ok let me zoom there ;)
Horia Naxos: to leave oneself or step out of the self
stevenaia Michinaga: That wasn;t ment to be intrusive, jsut playful
Adams Rubble: (Sun, it is almost behind you)
Horia Naxos: .. so basically now i'm eager to hear how people do that
Adams Rubble: Pema calls it dropping what we have to see what we are
Adams Rubble: The best way to learn about it is try it
stevenaia Michinaga: there is much on the wiki , discussion of the hows and whats
Horia Naxos: now my first question is (and i'm a slow typer :))
Adams Rubble: I think there is a timer available on the Wiki as well
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Dash ;)
    Adams Rubble: Hello dash
stevenaia Michinaga: I would rather be a slow typer than a bad one (which I am)
    Dash Earthboy: hi everybody
Horia Naxos: is it dropping how we see ourselves externaly only or is it about our selves , as well?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi, Dash
Adams Rubble: Have you been here before dash?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: it's about any or all of the above
Corvuscorva Nightfire: one can drop just a little, and a little more
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: or dance naked.
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;p
Corvuscorva Nightfire: depending on energy and bravery.
stevenaia Michinaga: in 2 minutes or so the bell wil ring, the fountain will mist, let yor mind empty of 90seconds and see
    Horia Naxos: okay, i'll try
Corvuscorva Nightfire: oh...Sunshine..you have a great quote in your profile picks
    --BELL--
    stevenaia Michinaga: whch one corvi?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: from sri Nisargadatta..
    Sunshine Vayandar: which one?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: "If you seek reality you must set yourself free of all backgrounds, of all cultures, of all patterns of thinking and feeling. Even the idea of being man or woman, or even human, should be discarded. - To be, you must be nobody. Give up all questions except one: 'Who am I'? After all, the only fact you are sure of is that you are. The 'I am' is certain. The 'I am this' is not. Struggle to find out what you are in reality
Corvuscorva Nightfire: one set of words pointing to the idea.
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: I like to spend time with those words often
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, so may words to clearify something so simple
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello everyone :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: *many
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Heya Agatha!
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Good to see you!
    Adams Rubble: Hello Agatha :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: Corvi! :))
    stevenaia Michinaga: gtsy
    Horia Naxos: ello agatha
    Dash Earthboy: hey aggie
Sunshine Vayandar: what do you think it clarifies?
    Agatha Macbeth: You too
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Agatha ;)
    Agatha Macbeth waves
stevenaia Michinaga: The 'I am' is certain
    Adams Rubble: Hello Alfred :)
    Dash Earthboy: he alf
    Sunshine Vayandar: yes ;)
stevenaia Michinaga: everything else is elusive
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Sunshine Vayandar: but the rest - I am not sure
    Alfred Kelberry: meep!
    Sunshine Vayandar: meep ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Meep Meep ;P :p:P :p :P
    Horia Naxos: ello alfred
Alfred Kelberry: girls session today :)
stevenaia Michinaga: hi Boxy, missed you
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Mila :)
    Alfred Kelberry: aww, stev :)
Sunshine Vayandar: so I think since the I am is certain - I try to focus on that more than the rest
Sunshine Vayandar: how are you boxy ;)
    Alfred Kelberry: i'm ok :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Alfred Kelberry: good to see so many girls around :)
Dash Earthboy: so i'm ok, you're okay alf?
Adams Rubble: That gets us back to the dropping what we have to see what we are
stevenaia Michinaga: I love that "I am" can be certain for each of us, but not for all of us
Corvuscorva Nightfire: what it is that "am?"
Horia Naxos: must say, the first attempt , a few moments ago, was very difficult
Alfred Kelberry: how's your solaris doing, dash? :)
    Alfred Kelberry: eliza!
    Alfred Kelberry: another girl :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Liz :))
Corvuscorva Nightfire: what did you find difficult about it...Heya Eliza!
    Adams Rubble: Hello Eliza :)
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Eliza ;)
    Dash Earthboy: great!
Sunshine Vayandar: how are you today ;)
Adams Rubble: That is perfectly OK Horia
    Dash Earthboy: hey eliza
stevenaia Michinaga: every 15 minutes helps you in time
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone!
Sunshine Vayandar: it was great to see you at the tower yesterday
    Alfred Kelberry: what tower?
Eliza Madrigal is well and hopes that everyone is the same :) That was *so* much fun Sunshine :D
    Sunshine Vayandar: Schoffer Tower
Horia Naxos: found it difficult to step out of the one i know for so many years now without any associations
Corvuscorva Nightfire nods. I do too.
stevenaia Michinaga: if it helps, the speing began as 9 seconds, which may be easier to start, 9 seconds every 15 minutes
Horia Naxos: perhaps i need turn all sounds off
    stevenaia Michinaga: *steping"
    Agatha Macbeth: stopping?
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Eliza Madrigal: lovely dress, Steve... sleek (sorry to arrive late, hope not to interrupt)
stevenaia Michinaga: I ahve sound I only hear the birds druing the 90 seconds now
Alfred Kelberry: *notices that someone moved the box*
    stevenaia Michinaga: *have found
    stevenaia Michinaga: eeek
    stevenaia Michinaga: thanks eliza
Horia Naxos: yes, indeed and when i closed my eyes, i thought of mesel as a bird ... that could be the sound association
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs
Adams Rubble: it often is enough just to stop and ficus away from what we are doing
    Adams Rubble: focus
Dash Earthboy: do birds think about their future?
    Agatha Macbeth: Do birds think?
stevenaia Michinaga: I take my 90 seconds as a drain .. emptying, and watch what fills this newly created empty space in my mind
    Horia Naxos looks at Polly
    Horia Naxos: yes they do
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: oh yes
    Adams Rubble: :) Steve
    Agatha Macbeth: Right
Corvuscorva Nightfire: though it doesn't exactly look like people thinking.
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Dash Earthboy: please give an example...
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins
    Agatha Macbeth: Maybe some people
Eliza Madrigal: and they do 'drop'... hehe... (actually a conversation about that at retreat, 'micro-droppings')
    Corvuscorva Nightfire giggles
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: dropping!
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Stoppings and droppings
stevenaia Michinaga: like the birds being heard when attention is let go
    stevenaia Michinaga: birds fly in
    Adams Rubble: nice observation Steve
Dash Earthboy: so we all leave a little of ourselves behind like the birds do?
Adams Rubble: I often hear music when I stop
Adams Rubble: not noticing it while I work
stevenaia Michinaga: the quiet mind can be a very creative place
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    --BELL--
Sunshine Vayandar: "All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness." ~ Eckhart Tolle
    Dash Earthboy: i'm curious
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Sunshine Vayandar: hi Yaku ;)
    Dash Earthboy: hey Yaku!
    Alfred Kelberry: yaku 007 :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, Sunshine, that quote fits perfectly with Pema's new time chapter (just read before coming here) :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ya :D
stevenaia Michinaga: conciousness is like the parted Red Sea, the open mind lets the held back floods mix,
    Adams Rubble: Hello Yaku
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Heya, Ya
Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh, Steve, interesting image
stevenaia Michinaga: such a lovely mess arises
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Yaku
    Sunshine Vayandar: Really Eliza
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Magic_of_Time/11._Space
stevenaia Michinaga: ( had that handy for you Eliza)
Eliza Madrigal: yes, about basic space and natural creativity... really lovely...
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hah Steve, you're good :D
    Sunshine Vayandar: ty Steve ;)
Dash Earthboy: wonders if the parting of the Red Sea story was a metphor for birth and death?
Alfred Kelberry: parting of the red sea - isn't it from the bible?
stevenaia Michinaga: let;s ask the Egyptians
    Eliza Madrigal: yes Alfred
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, boxy
    Eliza Madrigal looks for Egyptians
Alfred Kelberry: ah, fiction stories :)
Horia Naxos: yes, it is ... in a way it could be, yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: metaphors usually are
Eliza Madrigal: all stories are fictions Alf, by definition, hehe
Dash Earthboy: good Eliza...I've usually found most Bible stories are originally from other cultures
Alfred Kelberry: well, it's not plausible one :)
stevenaia Michinaga: mythology seems to be hardwired to humanity
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Horia Naxos: indeed, dash . sumerian being the earliest known one. the epos of gilgamesh
stevenaia Michinaga: the stories never leave us
Corvuscorva Nightfire: nice thing about a story is that we each tell it differently
Corvuscorva Nightfire: imparting a new meaning and myth each time
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilgamesh
    Horia Naxos nods
Eliza Madrigal: ahhh so true Corvi... appreciating 'anew'
    Dash Earthboy: chugalug
Alfred Kelberry: corvu, this is how a big fish turns into a loch ness monster :)
Corvuscorva Nightfire: so that if my concern today is about childbirth..you would hear it in every story I tell...or if my concern is about love, every story I hear will speak of it.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins
Eliza Madrigal: may we all have 'love mind'
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: is it....Alfred?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    Sunshine Vayandar: love mind ;)
Dash Earthboy: *is thinking how a couple days ago a session full of men complained about lack of female attendees...
Alfred Kelberry: corvu, yes, cause people, as you said, add up their own myths
    Eliza Madrigal: here Dash?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
