The Guardian for this meeting was Bruce Mowbray. The comments are by Bruce Mowbray.

    Korel Laloix: Heya

    Bruce: Hey-ya, Korel.

    Bruce: How's it going?

Korel Laloix: Things have slowed down a little.

Bruce: That sounds good. . .

Korel Laloix: So that is good

Bruce: Ahhhh -- That IS good!

Korel Laloix: Looking forward to the holiday weekend.

Bruce: Good -- I hope you get lots of free time to do whatever you want to.

Bruce: or not to do anything at all . . . ;-)

Korel Laloix: Spending some good time with the gf.

Korel Laloix: Will probably go camping or the like.

    Bruce: wonderful.

    Korel Laloix: Should be good

Korel Laloix: Been a while since I went camping.

Korel Laloix: But I do love a good hike.

Bruce: I have not done much long-distance hiking/camping in recent years, but I used to take hikes of over 180 miles on a regular basis.

Korel Laloix: You getting any time off soon?

Bruce: I've been retired for about five years, so I get all the time "off" that I can handle.

    Bruce: ha ha!

Korel Laloix: Sounds a bit much for me... lol

    Bruce: Hello, Mar.

Korel Laloix: I do like to do the occasional marathon though.

Bruce: Yes, a lot of free time takes some getting used to.

    Korel Laloix: BOzho mar.

Bruce: Many folks who have worked hard their whole lives, simply die - -

Bruce:  - - my guess is so that they won't have to think up ways to use their free time wisely.

Korel Laloix: That does not sound good to me... lol

    Bruce: Hello, Arch.

Bruce: Mar-- May I please ask, Have you been to our meetings before today?

Mar Rodas: hi is my second time

Bruce: OK -- If you've not already clicked on the box behind me, you might want to do that now --

Bruce: it will give you lots of information about the Play as Being activities.

Bruce: any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, OK?

Arch: And pls, sit near the circle Mar

    Mar Rodas: thanks

Arch: we are a small group today

Mar Rodas: I have so many

Bruce: I'm going to change the fountain. . . just a sec.

Mar Rodas: I do not know where to start asking

Korel Laloix: I have been in SL for 5 years and still find new questions... lol

Korel Laloix: SO just start anywhere.

    Bruce: Sure! Surprise us!

Bruce: Just right-click on the cushion ---

Mar Rodas: I am still fighting with the movements

Bruce: then if you want to change your posture, "Touch" it again.

Korel Laloix: It takes a while to get used to for sure

Bruce: OK -- take your time. We are very patient here, because we've all been where you are now. . . and it takes a while to learn it all.

Bruce: Oooopsss.. no problem, just right-click on the cushion and then click sit. . .

    Bruce: Yayyyyy!

    Bruce: [`·.] APPLAUSE!! [.·´]

    Arch: Nice..

Arch: Is our topic for today "being new in an old place" ?

Bruce: that sounds like a good one, Arch.

    Korel Laloix: lol

Bruce finds that he's usually just "old" in new places. . .

    Bruce: Hey, Cal.

Bruce: Good to see you, as always.

    Calvino Rabeni: Hi ..

    Arch: Messr. Cal.....welkomen

Calvino Rabeni: Is Korel standing, or only from my view?

    Bruce: I think Korel is . . . . levitating.

Korel Laloix: I am hovering like that Japanese cult leader... lol

Bruce: Wow! Now that is something NEW - in an old place.

Arch: Which of the 5,364 Japanese cult leaders?

Mar Rodas: Koya what do you have in your left shoulder?

Arch: Koya is on my shoulder

Arch: She is a white tiger cub

Bruce: One thing you might try, Mar, is pressing both the CONTRL and the ALT keys at the same time -- and then moving your mouse around the screen.....

    Arch: She travels with me

Bruce: giving yourself different views of the same scene.

    Korel Laloix: Shoko Asahara

Arch: I suppose I should find her notecard

Bruce: You can zoom-in on Koya and hear her purrrrrr that way.

    BELL

Arch: Koya came to me early in sl

Korel Laloix: Have you seen the other movies Arch?

    Arch: I tried to Korel

Korel Laloix: The others are nowhere near Koyann.

Arch: The sentiment was deeper than a person like I am can be aware of

    Sun: hi there all ;)

Calvino Rabeni: Now I see the origin and remember the movie

Korel Laloix: Koyaan stated.... Nakoy and Powaz just whined.

Calvino Rabeni: Good evening (?) Sun:)

    Bruce: Hey, Sun!

Bruce: Good to see you again.

    Sun: hi ;) evening

    Sun: and morning

Arch: Shine on, shine on harvest moon

Arch: It is the harvest there

    Sun: nice to see everyone

    Sun: in SA?

Arch: If it is spring here, it must be harvest in SA........bad assumption?

    Sun: yes you are right

    Sun: we are eating grapes

    Sun: ;)

Korel Laloix: South African wine is rather nice... or at least what I have had of it.

Sun: Bruce are you feeling better

Sun: hmm I don't drink really so not sure

Sun: may be I should ;p

    Men's AO: Touched.

    Men's AO: Touched.

    Calvino Rabeni: Maybe so, Sun

    Sun: oh snacks?

Korel Laloix: Recommend it.... lol... but only in moderation.

    Sun: ;))

    Bruce: (needs some adjusting. . . )

Sun: also in Hungary - we have nice wine

    Sun: hmmm looks very nice

Korel Laloix: Funny enough, Oklahoma is not known for our wine.

Korel Laloix: But we do have a few vineyards.

Arch: I have a snake......generally he is sort of rude

Sun: mmm this looks so nice - all these fruits

Calvino Rabeni: Have you been too Sherman, TX, Korel?

brown snake: /me : Sunssssssssshine Vayandar, i really like people who sssssssssay nice

    Korel Laloix: http://www.oklahomawines.org/

    Sun: hehe

Korel Laloix: Yes, to a cross country meet.

Sun: hi Mar I am not sure if we met

Arch: Mar is a welcome person

Calvino Rabeni: I only mention it because I dreamed of traveling north in rural Texas last night

Arch: hasn't been here a lot yet

    Mar Rodas: thanks

    Sun: kk ;)

Mar Rodas: no I don't think we meet before

Korel Laloix: The national grasslands down there are breathtaking really.

Calvino Rabeni: Arch proposed the question of old places being new, or something like that.. I have no idea why I was back in Texas mentally

Korel Laloix: The managed grasslands are exactly that.

Mar Rodas: korel : I see you sitting on Calvino, is this correct or is my point of view?

Korel Laloix: Being allowed to return to their native state.

Korel Laloix: I am just hovering for some reason.

    Korel Laloix: http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/texas/recreation/caddo_lbj/caddo-lbj_gen_info.shtml

Bruce: Hey, Mar. . . Hold your ALT key down with one finger, and your left mouse button down at the same time. Then move your cursor around the screen. . . You can see Korel from all angles that way.

Korel Laloix: Not that you would want to.... lol

    BELL

Bruce: TY everyone for respecting the bell and the silence.

    Sun: ;)

    Arch: I like the silence

Bruce: Hey Cal - I lived in Dallas for four years as an undergraduate. . . and still have dreams about that.

Arch: It let's me reload for the next charge

Bruce: My roommate's home was in Amarillo, so I also dream about visiting him there. . . during one holiday. . . about 50 years ago.

Sun: it's nice that one can be quiet here ;)

Bruce: Yes, the quiet is really fine. . .

Bruce: many folks can't find the quiet in their regular lives, you know.

Sun: also because sometimes I have no clue what you guys talk about ;p

    Korel Laloix: So true.

Korel Laloix: I am not a Dallas fan.

Bruce: ;-) Ha! Neither do I, Sun!

    Sun: lol

Korel Laloix: I like Fort Worth much more.

Arch: I have an invitation to dance........so, since all I have is quiet in my life.......I'm gonna boogey

Korel Laloix: I can't understand a good portion of what is said here either Sunshine.

Bruce  has not returned to Texas since 1964. . . (doesn't know whether he'd like it or not).

    Arch: Blessings and Namaste

Bruce: Bye, Arch! -- Enjoy your dance, dude.

Korel Laloix: Good food, big hair, great outdoors stuff.

    Sun: byebyee Arch ;)

    Korel Laloix: Ciao

Sun: Ah ok Korel - I don't feel alone then ;)

Sun: not that I feel alone hmm

Bruce: Speaking of dreams and Texas, I had dreams for years about people whose faces were quite familiar to me -

Bruce: but I could not recall where I'd met them...

Bruce: Then one day I pulled out the college yearbook . . .

    Korel Laloix: Dreams are tricky.

Bruce: (after years of not looking at it). . .

Bruce: and there they all were!

    Sun: ;)

Calvino Rabeni: If What are you thinking about that, Korel

Bruce: memories came flooding in. . .

Sun: hmm interesting how they can appear from the past - in dreams

Bruce: yes, and after so many years, too.

Bruce: as if the mind were a storage closet. . .

Sun: you know moving to a new country feels a bit like - being reborn - so some dreams feel like - they are from a previous life ...

Korel Laloix: Dreams are so different to everyone.

Calvino Rabeni: I was thinking, it's a good thing to find someone else to go into the same dream, then it becomes more "new"

Mar Rodas: I like how in dreams time and space are not following the logic

Mar Rodas: there is not such a thing like time in our unconscious

    Bruce listens . . .

Bruce wonders what "going into the same dream with someone" means. . .

Calvino Rabeni: It means, sit with someone, relax, vocalize the dream, then either they have a good memory of their own dreams that were in a way "the same one", or they create a new one at that time. Then there is an extra dimension of awareness in those 2 dreams, and it unlocks some "new" things.

    Sun: hmm very interesting

    BELL

Sun: sometimes when I talk to people - I find they would love to visit the same places where I have been - and I wish I could "give them" my experiences - so that they feel - they have been there too ...

    Bruce: Oh yes, Sun.

Sun: I have been thinking about this also while I was running the open cafe

Bruce: and sometimes we actually make plans to go there together -- as I've done several times with friends to New York City --

Bruce: and will do so again in May (with my brother's first wife....)

Sun: how things could be so open that we could "travel" in a deep way through our friends' experiences

    Sun: ;)

Bruce: yes, do you also share photographs? - or just talk ...?

Sun: and what will you do there

    Calvino Rabeni: Makes sense, Sunshine

    Sun: ;)

Bruce: Yes, it makes sense to me, too. In fact, that's something that happens for me in movies, books, and some TV travelogues. . .

Bruce: It feels like someone is actually sharing their experience of that place with me.

Sun: I remember when I was in New York with my best friend

    Bruce: Really!!!?

Sun: top of the Empire State Building

    Sun: ;)

Sun: and we dropped a banana skin hehe

Bruce: oh yeah. . . but next time, go to the Top of The Rock!

    Bruce: OH NO!

    Sun: lol

    Sun: Top of the Rock?

    Chi Aho: lol

Bruce: Yeah, Top of Rockefeller Center. . .

Bruce: also known as "30 Rock."

    Sun: hi Chi, Olana ;)

    Olana Banana: hi

    Bruce: The GE Building.

    Chi Aho: hi, sun, bruce

    Chi Aho: everyone

    Bruce: Hi, Chi and Olana.

    Mar Rodas: hi Chi

    Calvino Rabeni: Hi Chi

    Chi Aho: Calvino!

Chi Aho: How is Korel today?

Sun: hmm you go there this year and can tell me about it ;p

    Korel Laloix: Busy

    Korel Laloix: And lagged.

Bruce: We always go to the Top of the Rock -- when I'm in the city. . .

Korel Laloix: Never been there and have little desire.

Bruce: sorry about the pool, Mar. . . Just click on any free cushion and you can dry out there.

Olana Banana  :: everyone has wet feet

Calvino Rabeni: I'm floating on a lily pad ... how did this pool appear?

    Sun: ;)

    Sun: hmm

    Sun: she is gone

    Bruce: http://www.hermitdog.com/NewYork/September-2007/5thAvenue/5thAvenue084.JPG

    Bruce: It's a pooled dream, perhaps. . .

Chi Aho: Korel, is there some meaning in your pose today?

Korel Laloix: SL apparently is trying to tell me something.

Sun: ;) top of the rock

    Olana Banana  :: lol

    Korel Laloix: wado

    Bruce: http://www.hermitdog.com/NewYork/NewYork2009/NYC036.JPG

Korel Laloix: Evidently I am in a different pose depending on what viewer you use.

    Sun: hmmm must be nice

Olana Banana  :: ooohhh how odd

Chi Aho: Well from here it looks like you have everything but the cross

    Olana Banana  :: yep same

Korel Laloix: IN my view I am in the normal blue cushion position just two feet above the ground.

Korel Laloix: But evidently I am in a cross to some.

Sun: I must go - ty all for the peaceful time

Korel Laloix: And normal to others.

    Korel Laloix: Ciao

Olana Banana  :: nice to meet you sun

    Chi Aho: ciao, sun

    Sun: nice meeting you

Bruce: Bye, Sun! Have a good harvest!

    Sun: take care all ;)

    Sun: ty ;))

    BELL

Bruce: I also have a meeting to go to now.

Bruce: May all be happy and safe.

    Mar Rodas: by all

    Bruce: Thanks for coming.

    Chi Aho: bye

    Olana Banana  :: bye ㋡
