Make friends with the monkeys. Welcome them. Include them. They have as much right to be there as you.
Don't push them away. That's the western way. It's hard and exhausting and frankly doesn't work!
Include them - that's the eastern way, and it works. If you do that they'll just come and go a little less obtrusively, and you'll be able to focus on what you want to focus on far more easily.
You may find the following two transcripts a useful reminder (as you were there!).

Surgery complete and successful. I'm home. Thank you for all the well wishes! :)) There was an hour's delay due to emergency in an adjacent hospital for my surgeon, and they needed to give me a general anaesthetic as well as local (rather than sedation plus local) as they struggled to find veins. (I keep them well hidden!) I have Percocet if I need it when the local eventually wears off.
Not sure why I'm posting this link. But (thanks to today's Dilbert cartoon strip) I stumbled across it. Well worth watching - and sharing.

Three observations:
1. Percoset is perfect.
2. I wonder whether lack of body language in our avis encourages us to be more articulate in our written language.
3. Note: Contrary to what I had written earlier, my exhibition opens at 4 pm slt and ends at 5 pm slt. Today. Please come. I can TP you. edited 04:31, 10 Feb 2013
Lots of monkeys. I killed some, but they kept on coming.

Typing very slowly. More later.

::: Blowing away all concerns
::: Lightening the heart
Glad to hear that it went well. Take care, rest up, recover.
